It should have been a tell all sign for me when I walked into the store to browse around and the first encounter was a returning customer speaking to the manager about how displeased he is with his product. He went on and in complaining and demanding a return. I proceeded to look around and a sales woman came to help me, but she was helping like 2 other parties as well. So each time I would ask her the price of something or availability in stock, she would have to go check her computer and wouldn't return for like 20 minutes because she was assisting other customers along the way. Anyway.... I finally found a few pieces, placed my order and was set up for delivery: the items arrived and were assembled by the delivery people. The literally looked like they were second hand furniture pieces donated to me from someone who has used them for years and years. Dings and scratches, wabbly legs. The worse part is that you cannot contact the store directly. Even though there's a number for the store, you're connected to a call center who knows where. The best they were able to do was to set up an appointment for me with a service technician to repair the furniture. That appointment was 2 weeks from when I called. I don't need a service repair, I need this crap out of my house and my refund back in my account. I had to go the store to see the manager personally. Guess what??? There was another customer there back for the same issue... poor quality, demanding a return... After waiting 40 minutes the manager finally approached me and the best he was able to do was start a case number for me and try to get an ok from his regional manager for a return. He said they would contact me within 72 hours and they never did. He never responded to my emails, and you can't call them directly. Absolutely terrible. Do not go there because clearly anyone who ever does ends up coming back for a return. Still waiting for someone to take care of these damn furniture pieces. read more

Horrible customer service! Please buy your furniture items somewhere else, unless you are prepared to deal with an ongoing headache...3 months to be exact! We purchased a sleeper sofa in March in preparation for company staying over (this weekend!). We were told it would be delivered in April, then it got pushed back, and pushed back. Finally, we were given June 17th as the date. We called to confirm as we didn't trust anything Ashley Furniture told us by this time. We were reassured many times and as a result donated our existing furniture to make room for our new furniture. They called us a couple of days before the 17th and said the chair 1/2 piece was not ready after all (surprise, surprise SMH) and both items would be delivered after the 19th (the day our company arrived). We called to request that the sleeper sofa be delivered on the 17th, the slot we were originally given and confirmed, because we absolutely needed it. Ashley representatives re-assured us that would happen and the pieces would be delivered on two separate dates. The 16th rolled around and we did not receive the window delivery confirmation. We called and they notified us that both pieces will be delivered on the 20th...WHEN IT NO LONGER SERVES ITS PURPOSE! They said the trucks were at capacity and could not work this out for us. We were told that a customer service manager/supervisor (Candace P.) and a routing manager would contact us. They never did even after we called to find out what was going on. To top it off, we were told that the routing manager documented leaving a voice message and that is simply not true. Fast forward to today, the 19th, we spoke to the escalation department who offered a credit for the delivery service. Really not sure how to process all of this given all the phone calls we made to make sure we received the sleeper sofa in time for our guest, who will now sleep on an air mattress. All we received from Ashely Furniture representative was FALSE PROMISES and ZERO VALIDATION for the unacceptable service we received and inconvenience. Bottom line, they messed up and did nothing to rectify the problem. Should we be happy for a $200 delivery credit (which by the way we have to call back to get and will more than likely receive more problems)? We really think not. If you are willing to gamble on purchasing furniture, go ahead. Really wish we would have read the terrible reviews that this furniture store received...this may have been a different experience if we did. By the way, the Northridge store NEVER answers the phone. Bought a $4600 posturpedic mattress. Had a severe allergic reaction the first night, hives all over my body. Called this store within the 72 hours to exchange the mattress. They have given me the run around for 3 weeks now. I've called 8 different times, four different phone numbers and they keep giving me the run around. Heyam helped us and she was great- she gave us space to explore and discuss, but she was also around to help answer questions whenever we needed it. Oh, Ashley's... This has been a long time coming. This is the review that you deserve. I moved into a new home with my fiancee, so we needed new furniture. I believe we came to only look at dining chairs, but took a walk around the entire showroom anyways. (We already had some furniture when we moved & we had bought some other pieces at other furniture shops) A salesperson quickly greeted us and asked if we needed any help. It feels like when you want to just look around, they ask every ten seconds if you need something. Then, when you actually need help, they can practically never be found. Anyways, the salesperson showed us the pieces we were interested in, and asked what other pieces we needed for our home. We mentioned that we were looking at a couch from Ikea but hadn't purchased one yet due to the fact that the one I did want wasn't in stock at the moment. Tell me why the sales person's whole mood changed, she was both eager and showed no shame in trash mouthing Ikea as 'being one of the worst places to shop for furniture, they have bad quality items, and she wouldn't spend a dollar on their items even though they're so cheap.' She was very pushy and kind of insinuating that if we spent money at Ikea then we would be disappointed very soon. So, no dining chairs were purchased there. (I didn't like their selection & it was overpriced) Instead, we had found a very nice grey couch that was way above our budget but it has storage and reminded me of the couch I wanted from ikea, so we said screw it and purchased it. The salesperson was very happy and constantly assuring us that if anything in the world happened to the couch, it would be covered by warranty as long as we paid for a warranty plan. Wow. What SUCKERS we were. Let me tell you, I have no regrets in life except for buying this damn couch. I'm at the point where I WANT to set this thing on fire as a form of therapy needed from dealing with this damn store and their warranty. We purchased this couch in mid January, it didn't come until the end of January. By mid March it had broken, we made our report in early April. Both my fiancee and I have gone back and forth; taken off days of work to visit the store to discuss our issues or wait for their "technician" to come and take pictures of our couch to confirm that it is broken. Plus there are 10-14 day waiting periods after a technician has visited before you can call to discuss your case of warranty. Ashley's and the warranty company they work with-- let's just say neither wants to deal w us. They have us playing phone tag and nobody wants to take responsibility for fixing our couch or replacing it. They say it's a manufacturer issue then they say it's a warranty issue, like hey someone just fix our damn couch! Even the warranty company has told me directly to stop calling there because it's an issue with Ashley's, and I told them that the technician that Ashley's sent told me that is the only number to call to follow up with fixing the couch. It's just unbelievable how unprofessional both of these companies are, like not a single one has provided any sort of direct answer. This store is a whole joke. This company is a joke. Oh AND GET A LOAD OF THIS; apparently Ashley's is the manufacturer for most of their own products AND they sell some of their products to IKEA. I wish I had bought our couch from Ikea because at this point we probably would've had to build it ourselves therefore we probably could've replaced the parts ourselves as well. Don't shop here. Don't get the warranty-- it's a scam. 5 year warranty? It's been a couple months since this thing broke and they haven't been able to help us. More like 5 years to get your warranty. They just want sales and I understand wanting to be on top of the competition, but they can't back up any of their word & trust me, I've waited and been nice and given enough chances before writing this. WORST customer I have ever experienced. I did some wandering Around and all the employees just stared at me and said nothing. Which is fine whatever I don't like being bombarded with sales people. I got a call from my sister, so I stepped outside for a second. When I walked back in the lady at the front desk immediately was like weren't you just in here and I was like yeah I just wanted to buy the item that's located towards the back of the store. She told me to " oh, find the person who was hoping you when you were in here earlier. " I responded and told her that no one was helping me earlier, but I would just like to purchase the item. She then was telling me that I needed to speak to the manager because I was supposed to go to the person who helped me earlier when I said no one helped me earlier. Regardless, I walk away down the pathway that the front lady told me to go on and I hear another lady in the other room girl "wasn't she just in here? " and the front desk girl responded with yeah she's looking for a manager. I turned around and informed her I was not looking for a manager. I just wanted to buy an item. I keep walking and I see a gentleman who standing there doing absolutely nothing so I approach it but I ask "Do you work here? " to which he responded " I do but I'm helping someone so you need to find someone else to help you. " I get if you're busy but sir you were standing there just STARING AT ME with your hands behind your back with NO ONE around you. Anyways I hear someone telling this woman who is apparently a manager to help me. She approaches me with a " can I help you with something" ??? Girl I'm a manager. That's not how you approach a customer??? I point out the item I want to purchase and surround by a bunch of other things but I point out the tv stand or whatever it's called the thing that you put your tv on top with like drawers and cabinets and she obnoxiously goes " what? What you want a planet? You just want a green plant?" No. Once she finally figures out that I'm pointing at the furniture, she goes " ok you need to buy it like this. It's fully assembled and you need to bring people bc NO one is going to help you move it. " ok cool whatever. We go to pay at the register and the cashier asks the manager " is this your sale" and the manager said " yeah obviously because no one else was gonna help her". EXCUSE ME Shouldn't have even bought it. Went back to pick it up today and the same manager was LAUGHing and snickering while staring at me and my friend pick up the piece of furniture and carry it through the store. When it comes to purchasing, they were very friendly. Less then 2-years later my couches are both ripped & scratched. Although I bought an extended warranty (which the sales person told me would cover "anything" including rips, tares, etc. ) and when I submitted a request (per Ashley they requested that I email them pictures of the couches) I was: Declined for the reason "they do not cover rips/tares/scratches". So many terrible things about this experience. First of all the customer service rep followed us around the store and was really creepy and pushy even though we told her we wanted to just look around on our own. We found a couch we liked and it was a decent price because of the July 4th sale so we went for it. She gave us some extra discounts which was cool. Then she told us it would be 6 weeks for delivery because of covid delays, but she'd try to get it to us sooner. Obviously not ideal, but we said ok. Tried calling the rep a few weeks later to check in and she didn't answer then just texted "STOP". Really strange. Then they called us two days before the delivery date mid-August and said the couch wasn't ready. They didn't have the raw materials to build it. They pushed the delivery date to early September. They promised us a $150 gift card which never came. When we called to check on the delivery time frame a day before the new delivery date, they lied and said they'd tried to get a hold of us (we had no missed calls and no messages) to tell us it still wasn't ready. Pushed the delivery date to September 19th (today). They asked if we wanted to have just the chaise delivered without the sectional sooner, and we told them no we'd wait until the 19th for the full couch. They finally confirmed delivery and things were looking up. We brought our old couch to the curb and had the house cleaned in preparation. Finally they arrive, and the delivery guys (who were very nice) said they only had the chaise . They brought it back to try and sort it out. Now we can't get a hold of anyone to try and figure out what's going on. It's been over 2 months and we have no couch. The level of unprofessionalism, awful customer service, terrible communication and straight up lying is unfathomable. Not sure how they can justify treating their customers like this especially during these times. DO NOT TRUST THEM. Shame on this company. Hopefully we can get a full refund for this couch and take our money elsewhere. Went in-store, bout & received the couch and ottoman we wanted, and even bought the 5-yr. protection plan. Everything was seemingly smooth sailing... we received the couch AND ottoman on-time. The ottoman was even listed as out of stock at the time, so it really came much faster than expected. This was back in January. About 3 weeks ago our cat decided the ottoman was a great place to do his business, so protection plan, activate! -- Or so it seemed all too easy! Donna, the in-store rep apparently separated the couch and ottoman into two different orders, affectively activating the protection plan only on the couch. I have been on and off the phone for the past 3 weeks with Ashley's and Protect All trying to get the matter rectified. Ashley's "e-mails" Protect All, which buys them 3-5 business days for a reply. Still, nothing!! What's worse, is I can call Protect All and get someone on the phone almost immediately, yet they need to speak with Ashley's to rectify it on their end?? I'm fed up with this, we got your money and now customer service instantly goes out the window. They really don't care about repeat customers unless they're family, huh? read more

They charge $200.00 delivery charge for a very bad job. I got rid of the old bed and my special needs daughter may falloff the small mattress they delivered. Crissi's demeanor was kind, helpful, informative and she gave us great solutions and quick results. Her and Able were genuine, made us feel relaxed, were incredible at reading when we needed more support and when we needed time to think and helped us maximize our savings! They challenge all the stereotypes of a sales person and we simply adored how easy and quick they made our experience. I got a couple of pieces from Ashley furniture and their pieces are beautiful. They hold up really nice. I have a tv stand with the fireplace built in and it's beautiful!! I love it. I also have a beautiful dining room table. The only thing I had an issue with is the delivery. I would take days off of work for my furniture to be delivered and they wouldn't deliver it. then, I would have to call THEM to see what was going on. I didn't like that. If it's not going to be delivered on the day they gave me I'd appreciate a call prior. Then I wouldn't miss work. This happened at least 3 times. I'm sure it was more but this has been a while ago already and I'm not too sure about the amount. For sure more than 3. I did complain about it and they did compensate me for missing work. They compensated me so many times my dining room table ended up being more than half off. That's why I know it was more than 3 times. Lol. 4 stars for beautiful furniture that holds up well. I showed the defect to the guys who delivered it and he said that due to COVID they couldn't take it back. I told him that wasn't a reason because if Covid had anything to do with it, it would have never been delivered. He then told me that if he took it back it would take a very long time to receive a new one and I told him that was fine...take it back. I rarely leave reviews, but I needed to leave one for this Ashley store located across from the Northridge Fashion Center on Tampa. The experience my wife and I had was so uncomfortable, we had to leave, and leaving, believe or not, was an ordeal in and of itself. Never have I been stalked relentlessly through a store by employees as we were at this Ashley. It was ridiculous and maddening. I'm aware employees of companies like this typically work on commission so they are eager to make a sale, but stalking customers and driving them up the wall with your pestering is the fastest way to chase them out the door, not to make a sale. And it didn't happen with only one employee. It was three different employees. When we walked into the store, a man was sitting at a podium right inside. He welcomed us, asked if we had any questions, and when we said we just wanted to look around, he gave us his name and told us to ask if we needed anything. We thanked him and moved on. We walked more than twenty feet from him (not an exaggeration) and he approached us and asked us if we needed help. It was boggling, because we had JUST told him we didn't and wanted to look around, but we shrugged it off, said no, and carried on. He walked off, and we managed about two minutes, tops, of looking before we were approached by another employee. She said that the first employee we'd spoken to had gone on break, so she would be helping us and to let her know if we needed any assistance. We thanked her and she moved over to speak to another customer. Less than a minute after she walked off, yet another employee approached us, and she was abrasive. She barked at us, "You need help! Has anyone helped you?" We said we were fine and that an employee had already helped us, and she shouted, "Who? Who's helping you?" which was completely bewildering and also unnecessary. We were simply walking around looking at furniture, not in distress, not seeking out an employee, etc. We didn't know the other woman's name, but we could see her, so we pointed at her to indicate she'd helped us, and the second lady shouted at her from across the store. "Did you help them? Are you helping them?" As she was doing that, she slipped away from her, and by this point, my wife was incredibly uncomfortable. She had issues with social anxiety, so people constantly being in her face creates a very uncomfortable environment for her. I don't have anxiety, but even I was uncomfortable at this point as well. But wait, it gets worse. Once we escaped the second woman, we managed to make it three more couches down before we were approached again by the first woman. We told her we didn't need any help and just wanted to look, and she said, "Okay, I won't bother you." We thanked her, and she literally responded with, "I'm not trying to bother you, but are you looking for a dining room table? Let me tell you about this dining room table sale we are having right now." She then proceeded to hold us there for a good three or four minutes running down dining room table sales and options, despite us never indicating that we wanted a dining room table. In fact, we explicitly told her that we were not interested in a dining room table. We told her again we just wanted to look around, and she said, "Okay. Just let me know. I've worked here a long time. I'll give you the best price." And kept tapping her name tag. We walked off and sat on a couch that looked nice, and she immediately was on us. "You like this one? It comes in red, brown, leather..." And on and on. My wife is so uncomfortable at this point that she is saying she is whispering in my ear that she needs to leave, we need to get out of there. I was ready to go too, which was unfortunate, because we had just moved into a new apartment and had NO furniture, and there were several couches in Ashley that we liked a lot, but we couldn't really consider any of them, because we were being stalked and hounded and not given any space to look, experience, or privately discuss the options. We were at the back of the store at this point, and I noticed as we rounded one section that the woman was actually stalking us. I caught a glimpse of her in my peripheral. She was watching us for a short distance back and when we stopped, she stopped. When I looked directly at her, she shrunk back behind a wall as if to hide, which was ridiculous. I was dumbstruck at this point, honestly. But then when we started moving again, she started moving again. And so it continued all the way to the front of the store. We even sped up and cut across sections to make it there faster, and she did the same thing, cutting sections to catch us at the door. We are at the door, my wife is pushing it open, and she shouts out at us to stop so she can talk to us one more time and give us her card. I took it but immediately pitched it in the trash in the parking lot. There is no way in any hell that I would go back to this Ashley furniture. read more

I have purchased furniture from Ashley in the past with no issues. However, most recently it has been a disaster. I purchased a rug a few months ago that was never delivered. They claimed to have delivered it and left it on my front porch. That clearly was not true because we were home all day on the date they claimed to have delivered it. Also I have cameras that recorded the day's activities. There definitely was no delivery. After many phone calls, they agreed to refund the money I paid. Even after that fiasco, I decided to give them another chance. On Friday I ordered a bed and mattress that was scheduled for delivery today. When I didn't hear from them, I reached out to so-called customer service this morning. After a 45 minute hold, a rude woman tells me they rescheduled my delivery for Tuesday and they left a message. There definitely was no message left and the woman I talked to was very rude and couldn't care less that I needed the bed delivered today. I cancelled my order and received a refund. It was very annoying that I had to go back into the store to receive refund. I will not be stepping foot into any Ashley Furniture Store again. There is no problem when making purchase and paying, it's when trying to receive the merchandise that there's a problem. read more

The staff usually avoids any questions about items not right there on the showroom floor, so furniture featured on their website is a lost cause. Please do your research on prices before you buy. They offer no interest financing, but charge considerably more for a lot of items because of that point. They're courteous and very helpful while making the sale, but BEWARE when purchasing their warranty plans. They talk a great game about how the plan covers everything. Not true. It took 2 months to get someone to come and look at my broken sofa. They go through a third party company that makes you submit your requests ONLY through postal mail, which is archaic. Our request got lost in the mail and therefore the time period expired and they refused service. Ashley sent one of their own techs to come and fix the sofa. He insisted that it was simply the cushions (NOT TRUE) and left without fixing the structural problem. The money we spent on the warranty is wasted. New cushions aren't going to stop my butt from sinking to the floor when I sit down. I'm not trying to sound like a downer. I have a great dining set from Ashley that I enjoy. First off, let me start by saying we have been Ashley's customers for over 6 years, and for the most part, haven't had any issues. For whatever reason, they're the only store in America who hasn't figured out how to run their business in Covid Times after a year of everyone dealing with the same thing. I say this because this is the excuse we continue to get, on which was our FOURTH time of being extended on our delivery. We were originally given a delivery date 2 months out due to Covid, which we gladly agreed to. Since then, we have been delayed 3 more times. The 2nd delay, I was pretty upset, and the rep i spoke with promised my entire order (except one piece which was fine) would be delivered March 18th without fail, and even went so far as to confirm my delivery. The last straw was the call I got last night, that informed me we were going to be delayed ANOTHER 2 months. So when I spoke to this Rep, she said that I should have never been confirmed for delivery as the warehouse has given them no info on my order in the past 5 months. I asked her if I can get ANY of my items delivered as we ordered a bedframe, side tables, wall units with fireplaces etc...she said no. So at this point I cancelled the order. Do not order from here.... Check out this novel I'm about to write: The staff are nice when you're purchasing but afterwards it all goes downhill. We had to go through a tremendous battle with this furniture store and hopefully this will encourage them to give better quality merchandise and provide better customer service.. So the first time we ordered a couch and when it finally came after two weeks it was horrible... See pictures attached. It was obviously patched up and there were visible scratches. The deliverer agreed that it was in terrible condition. We went back to the store to buy a new unit after the corporate offices confirmed the nature of the unit that was delivered was in no condition to give to us. Waited two days and then they gave us two units brand spanking new in wrapping but the third unit was unwrapped. The heck? It also looked like it was semi-used because it was incomparable to the other two units that were in immaculate condition. We called again and another ordeal ensued. Asked for a unit unwrapped and in the same condition as the other two units we received. Second time around deliverers were kinda hostile. The deliverers will talk a mess about you in Spanish. But I mean come on... I know what "chinga tu madre" means and when I said "we understand Spanish" in Spanish, he was embarrassed. The third time around delivering the third unit, there were scratches, and a hole. Like what the heck snowcone?! The girl over the phone was like "we can't inspect it if it's wrapped" okay dude but you guys obviously "inspected" this one, unwrapped it, and whoever "inspected it" was totally okay with sending one out with scratches and WITH A HOLE! What does that even mean? "If we send it out unwrapped then we can't inspect it".... Because the first time we ordered, it was unwrapped and it had obvious patchwork, scratches and it was obvious people just sat and farted on it from the impressions on the seat area. I just moved into a new apartment and for the first time in my life had the money to furnish it the way I wanted to. I went to Ashley because I thought since they have the best furniture they would treat you well. For the most part my experience was positive. Omar met me at the door. I had already been in there before and decided what I wanted. A couch, loveseat and bed frame totally around 4 grand. I bought the couch first and Omar was amazing. What turned me off to this store was their slovenly dressed, rude manager Josh. It was advertised inline that furniture could be delivered on Sat or Sun. Omar went to speak to Josh about this and he comes out of his little office and is rude and nasty. I almost did not buy the couch because of him but Omar smoothed it over. Omar took my information for the loveseat and bed. I was to call back when I was ready to purchase. I did. Josh answered the phone. I asked for Omar and was told he was there and placed on hold for a LONG time. No one came back to the phone so I called back. Josh answered again. I ask for Omar. I was put on hold again. Then, Josh came back and told me Omar went home after about 30 minutes of wasting my time. This soured my wanting to deal with this Ashley ever again. Omar lost out on another 2000 he could have gotten from me and the store lost that revenue as well. Josh is awful. He makes the store less than. On a positive, Omar my salesperson was amazing. They delivered my couch on time, ( even though I had to take a day off from work for it) The delivery guys had a but of trouble getting in my apt but they opened the box , took out some pillows to make it work. I was so grateful to them I gave them food and beverages to take with them. Josh at Ashley Northridge is a rude, unprofessional and a disgrace. The rest of the experience was not so bad read more

Over-enthusiastic salespeople make me antsy and nervous. This place definitely has a bunch of these types trying to upsell you on stuff you may not need. They may also sweet talk you into applying for some sort of credit. Take my advice, don't do it unless you are keen to compounded interest. Most conversations I overheard here, people were salivating under the idea that the payments merely split up the entire balance. O boy. I wonder what the interest rate is? On the other hand, they have really good deals when it comes to packages. Like a 14 piece living room set for $999. Not bad. Advice: Go in, try stuff out. Decline help. Know what you want. Then bring in the sales person. Don't buy into the upsales or stupid lines of credit. My personal experience: I walked in. Found a floor model recliner chair that had been marked down 75%. Asked for a salesperson. I was in and out in 30 minutes. read more

BEWARE!! DO NOT SHOP HERE! The furniture they sell is compete garbage, instead of being made with foam they are filled with fluff that will begin to sag after a few days. There is a 30 day return policy on their website however when you call, if they actually answer the phone, the smug and rude manager Ariel will tell you "yeeahhh I can't help you with that". They do anything to make a sale but once you are out the door they treat you like the garbage their couches are made out of. The couch we received was defective and the tech they sent out said 70% of their business is from Ashley Furniture, that tells you something doesn't it? Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else! **UPDATE** After filing a dispute with the credit card company and putting a review on the BBB website, Ashley called out of the blue to schedule a pickup of the couch and will be issuing a refund. My Daughter & son in law bought their, Couch, Love Seat, Chair, Coffee Table, and Bedroom Set from Ashley Home Furniture Only 2 years ago. The Couch & Love Seat appear to be broken as they are to get up from. My daughter contacted Ashley Hone Furnishings.,The warranty company came out to inspect the couch and the loveseat. SINCE my daughter and son-in-law both work my husband and I went to their house and met the technician from the warranty company. The technician told my husband and myself that he thought that the springs in the couch & Loveseat were made with substandard materials and that that was what he was going to put in his report. Today my daughter and son-in-law received the following email from GBS the Warranty Company for Ashley Home Furniture.
