DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. I placed an order online in August 2020 and have been dealing with the repercussions since. My bed was supposed to arrive September 9. On this day I was told by the delivery drivers that the headboard and footboard would be arriving separately. I called the warehouse to double check this, and they had no idea about this. The headboard and footboard were lost for about 5 days. I called everyday because I was told each time someone would call back before the end of the day and NOT ONCE did I receive a call back. Finally they found the headboard and footboard and the soonest delivery date was an additional week later. Headboard and footboard arrive, and the delivery drivers put the bed together but didn't screw any of the base in so the pieces were resting on top of each other (not safe). The legs under the supports also do not reach the ground so they are not the correct parts. Called the warehouse again, was told they could send a tech to "assess the parts" (not fix it!!!!! just assess) and the soonest he could come was 2 weeks later. I opted for them to send me the replacement parts and I could fix it myself. She "expedited" the shipping on these replacement parts (3-7 days) and they JUST ARRIVED over a month after they were supposedly shipped!! To top it off, there are only 2 of each parts (should be 3) and they are very clearly used (dirty, chipped, rusty). Absolutely the worst possible customer service, rude people, and terrible delivery. I don't even want to give this store any stars. This has been THE worst experience to deal with. I still have yet to receive all the parts to my bed set that I purchased in July 2020!! Every time I call or go to the store no one is able to help me and just say they will send an email to customer service. I never get any response or calls back. Ashley Furniture is a dishonest, deceitful and unethical company. Five years ago we purchased a bedroom furniture set which included a dresser, armoire,headboard/ mirror and two night stands. In addition, we also purchased two large sofas for over $3,000.00. At the time of delivery we pointed out to the delivery people that there was damage to the dresser top. We were told that a repair person would come by and access the damage. During the inspection the repair person told us that a replacement dresser would be delivered. Shortly after the store manager called and suggested they would try and repair it and offered a $1,000.00 gift certificate with no expiration. This Spring we visited the store in Manchester, NH and was told that they could not honor the certificate. We contacted the NH State Attorney General office and many letters were sent to Ashley with no positive result. The gift certificate was worthless according to Ashley Furniture. read more

We just purchased a sectional couch after our second visit to the store. The first time we were just looking, the sales people were friendly but not pushy. We chatted with Marie, and told her what we were looking for. She was so helpful, she showed us a sofa we really liked. We did not buy anything the first trip. We looked around town and could not find anything as well made for the price. We returned the the store a few days later, asked for Marie, and purchased the sofa. They offer 0% interest same as cash for 6 months if you are approved. We purchased the 5 year warranty that will cover rips/stains/any damage for 59.00, if you don't use it after 5 years you get it back as credit. Initially we were told it was 4-6 weeks for delivery because the color/ style we wanted was on back order. Well it arrived 11 days after ordering it! The delivery folks were very friendly and prompt, they gave a 3 hour window for delivery, but called to see if they could come early. They set up the new couch, put the legs on, removed and cleaned up the plastic. They even helped us move our other couch into the "man cave". Super friendly and professional. We tipped them all 20.00 each. Delivery charge was like 89.00...not awesome but not bad. We don't own a truck, and would have needed to recruit helpers if we were to pick up ourselves, so ended up very worth it in the end. We love our new couch. read more

Not only has that product not arrived, the company is saying they are unable to reimburse me and that this set has been discontinued. This is leaving me without the money I used to purchase the product and without the product. A SCAM. I have called the BBB. Lindsey at the Manchester store didn't seem to care one bit, she wrote the NAME of the previous owner of the company with a sharpie on my old receipt and told me I would have to google it. DONT!!!!! In early January if 2022, I went to the store to purchase a dining room set. I was told it would be delivered in 8-12 weeks. 8 weeks later, I sold my existing set, thinking the new one would be coming. My family of 7 and I , were taking "shifts" eating at our smaller kitchen table while we waited for the new one- in late March- I had not heard anything, so I tried calling. There was no answer. As if the store had closed. I tried calling a week or so later, figured maybe they were closed for vacation? Got a voicemail. I live 90 minutes from the store, so I can't just drive there. I found the email of my sales rep. I finally heard back. She said it was delayed until early June. I called in June- again, can't reach an actual human- so I emailed again. Apparently, my invoice never made it over to a "new system" - now I'm told if I want the set, I need to go back to the store to reorder completely. PLEASE BUYERS BEWARE EVERYONE DO YOUR RESEARCH!!! Ashley/Ashbrook advertising a closeout sale so we were intrigued to go check it out as we need a new desk. We went in and all the sales people were sitting around lounging in the furniture on cell phones(including the manager) As we walked around they stalk you in a terrible manner!! Like every turn around the corner the sales guy is leaching around following you. If it gives any idea how horrible it was, my spouse is a car salesman and he was disgusted with the behavior :) and said they do not even do that at the dealership. It was honestly very creepy and obnoxious!!!! We found a desk that was "being marked down on sale" and he was cutting us a deal since we we were getting the shelf to match at a 50% mark down LOL. In the meantime my spouse heard the manager who was still kicked back in the couch say to his employee " do you seriously want me to give this stuff away, what are you doing!" with a few other choice words. Needless to say we purchased the items and then the lady at customer said I am sure they did not tell you BUT... "by the way since you are using your financing you have with us we to leave a percentage down" My spouse stated we did not have to do that the last time when purchased LR set and Bedrooms with Ashley account. She proceeded to tell us well the new owners are not as compromising/nice and will not allow waivers on the down payment or we can use a different credit card. Being tired and frustrated we did not want to play the manager games etc and paid for the items and then told that it would be 8-12 weeks on delivery etc...Leaving there not happy with the customer service and the sales tactics I decided to go on Ashley online and the same exact items were there that we were getting this amazing 50% off ( with smart mouthing of the manager giving it away) I put a fake order and it came out over $800 less and items would be shipped in 2 weeks??????????? SMH!!! so then I looked the item up online found the same exact brand/set at another local store for a little over a $1000 less with free delivery and by June 2nd ....Ashley is doing a HUGE disservice during this times to their brand and community by playing these games with good customers. We bought a nice Amish-built dining room set around August/September of 2021 for a little over $2,000. At the time we were told that the set would be delivered in January of 2022. Come January, we were told it would be in March of 2022. I forget the excuse in March, but radio silence happened after that. In July of 2022, we were told that Ashley was no longer working with the manufacturer, and that they had been bought by another company. We asked for a refund, and were told to work that through our credit card company. Our credit card company decided that too much time had passed since the transaction, and they wouldn't refund and claw back the transaction. Ashley tells us in August/September of 2022 to go after the former owners for a refund. My understanding is that when a business is sold, the new owner acquires both assets and liabilities, so by law, they need to refund us. Our lawyers will be pursuing this! Avoid these scammers like the plague! Would give zero stars, if I could. read more

I purchased a bedroom set, the salesman actually told me not to get the warranty on this so I took that as wow this must be an honest salesman. 3 months in and out bed frame collapses. I call the store and am told we are "s***" out of luck according to who answered the phone. Nice bureau nightstand and dresser but looked online and saw same reviews of this bed frame as being weak. Went in to purchase a sofa and loveseat set that was $120 less on the Ashley website. The store said they would honor the price but required the furniture to be delivered for $150. I didn't want delivery and wanted to pick it up so then I would have to pay the store price. This was not the policy when I purchased a recliner 8 months ago but apparently it is now. I called the Seabrook store from the Manchester store's parking lot and inquired about their policy. The salesperson actually laughed and said of course I can opt to pick up my furniture and pay the online price so I took my business there. The prices in the Seabrook store were the same as the online prices so I didn't even need the price match and they actually maintain their own inventory so I can get my new furniture tomorrow. Manchester lost my business but I will definitely shop the Seabrook store again. read more

We ordered our set in April of 2021 here it is OCTOBER and we still have not received our furniture. We have had ZERO contact with customer service other than when we have called them. The only email or mail we have received from them is letting us know they would like us to start payments. That's right. Start payments on the furniture that we have NO idea of when it's supposed to arrive. Not only that but when we bought the furniture we were told we do not start payments until the sofa and chair are in the house. My recommendation is to stay far far away from this place. We purchased a complete living room. Upon delivery the couch was sagging , they sent a repair man out a week later and the support was broken. He came in with a pice of wood and screwed it to the broken piece. It was still sagging. He explained that was the best it could be because of the springs pulling it??? What it's brand new!! I called the store and after talking to the service man they said the couch is fine. I reluctantly accepted it and this is the worst furniture I have ever purchased! My previous living room furniture was 15 years old and in great shape but figured a update was due. Wish I never bought this. i purchased a couch April 13, 2022. I called to check on status on 5/9. The person answering the phone said they could not locate the order. She said she would have the customer service manager call. No return call. I called back 5/19 And was told they would have him call me. Mary Beth (our so called sales person) called me. Told me "they" discovered it was discontinued but I could have the "2 week" old floor model (same one I sat on 4/13-more than 2 weeks old). I asked her if they would discount the floor model. she said they raised the price (on a discontinued item? I asked for a refund. She said I needed to drive an hour to the store to get it. Checked here for living room furniture. We were not stalked by a salesperson nor were we asked every 15 minutes if we had any questions. Large variety of styles, very well lit and easy to walk through. We did buy a set but it was after we left the first time armed with easy to download sizes and prices on our phone. We went home, sat in the room, figured out what would work and went back the next day to order it. Simple process to order...we picked out fabric, they explained the return policy which is more than fair. They explained the protection plan, which you get back after 5 years as a store credit if you don't use it. We paid and we're out the door. They also let us sign out samples of the fabric which made choosing paint color and rugs easier. We also changed our minds on the fabric within the first 24 hours and we're able to change it with no hassles and no attitudes. I would give a 5 star rating but I want to see how they follow through with delivery, etc. read more

They gave us a credit towards a future purchase which was perfect because we ended up putting it towards an awesome set of outside furniture with it. DO NOT USE ASHLEY FURNITURE. They charged me twice, then never delivered my order. I went without a bed. They have disconnected their customer service email and you can't get anyone when you call. When you ask for a call back, it's just someone who calls to say someone else will call you in 72 hours and they never do! They are purposely limiting access. There is nobody available to talk to to voice your concerns. I've been hung up on, transferred to people who never pick up. You can tell when you finally get someone who isn't a total jerk that they are embarrassed to work for the company. read more

Here's an update! After almost a week of waiting to speak with a manager regarding our damaged bed, they agreed that based off of the pictures I sent that they would replace the bed. I was informed that there is a special process/inspection that takes place for a replacement. Once the bed is ordered and delivered to the warehouse, their technician inspects each piece to ensure there isn't anything damaged and then a delivery is scheduled. I received a call last Thursday (12/28) to set up the delivery for today. Got a call just now from my husband who was home for the delivery that he refused to accept the new bed. There is damage to the side railing of the bed. The delivery driver Jose who my husband said was extremely nice stated that he pointed out the damaged piece to his boss prior to delivering and his boss said to still take it and deliver it. Are you kidding me??? So here we are a month after purchasing said bed and we still don't have what we paid for. Stay tuned for further updates. I can assure you this will be the last time we ever order anything from this furniture store. My original post deleted - basically it was stating that the new bed we purchased was delivered damaged and it took tooth and nail to get the customer service department to agree to deliver a new bed. Bait and Switch! The process seems simple, you go lay on every mattress in the store, find the one that you like, in my case, i like the softest, plushiest mattress made, then you buy it and live your life with restful sleep, right? NOPE!! You lay on the mattresses in the store, which they say are swapped out every 8 months, yet they all feel so soft...I expressed wanting the softest mattress they had, and after waiting about 12 weeks, they delivered a medium firm mattress...I called right away, and of course they said someone would be in touch, but nope. No one called me. I called again the next day, and asked to speak with the manager, but he was on the phone but i was told he'd call me back.... That was December of 2020, i guess he's going for the world record of longest calls?! I went into the store and was met by James, who has bee up to this point the only competent human I've interacted, sadly, they weren't able to retain him and he moved on to a better company. Anyway, James was quick to tell me that i was sent the wrong mattress, and called his (mysterious) manager, who had the day off and explained my situation, to which Mr. manager said I'd have to pay $300 disposal fee? What!? Wait a second, your mistake and I pay??? James called another store and spoke to a different manager who "allowed" them to waive the fee, how kind, right?! I explained to James what I wanted, (refer) to above, and I also mentioned I'm a hot sleeper. He led me to the "Beauty Black". This thing was like a cloud, it was exactly what i wanted, BUT was way over my budget. He assured me this mattress has longevity and a warranty. So i bucked up and made the investment into my sleep. I got this this thing delivered another 4-6 weeks later, and it was firm but also new, so i gave it the benefit of the doubt. I called about a month later saying it was still really firm, to which they told me to jump up and down on it. Ummmm... If i buy THE most expensive, over budget mattress they sell, I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO JUMP ON IT! Again, i asked to speak with the manager, but you guessed it "he was on the phone". At this point, I'm just cheering him on for the Guinness Book of World Record phone call time. The snotty girl on the other end of the phone told me someone would call me back, when i said that was false, I've been told that before she said told me firmly someone would call me back. Here I am writing this, I've been going to the chiropractor weekly for back, shoulder and hip issues, because of the over priced brick I'm sleeping on still waiting for a call. Super aggressive sales people. A lady was stalking us all around the store even after I told her multiple times that I did not want help and would not be making a purchase that day. I literally caught her peering over the half wall at the mattress section. I understand sales people need to make commission but creeping around seems like a poor way to do that. I definitely felt uncomfortable, Some of the information that she did give me after she caught me looking at something was incorrect after I looked up identical items online. I may purchase the dinette set I looked at and get it delivered but I won't be back at the store. read more

Called back periodically and was told it would be in on this date, call back no now this date, call back, we have some of the furniture the rest will be in on this date. After trying to call the store for a month, the phones go unanswered. finally get ahold of someone, they say the business has been bought out. furniture will be in on this date. called today to see if it was still set to be in and was told the order was canceled. corp was looking into it. i told them never mind and to refund my deposit. told I have to go in person to get refund. they called back and hour later and was told we need to call our credit card company to dispute the charge. GOOD BUY USELESS ASHLEY FURNITURE. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGO AND I WILL BE YELLING IT FROM THR ROOF TOPS TELLING OTHER PEOPLE TO AVOID THEM. read more

Overall, my experience buying our couch was positive and the actual couch is fine. My issue comes with buying the protection plan for stains, etc. I've contacted the company multiple times, have to send photos, report each individual stain. In hindsight, I would have saved the $60 and bought an upholstery cleaner myself and cleaned it when I want. Don't bother with the protection plan. read more

Some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. They suckered me into buying their 5-year warranty plan for a dining room set (table, six chairs), with the perk that if anything ever happened, they'd repair, replace, or credit me the full cost. I paid $1,200 for the set. Four months ago I noticed a scratch on the table top and filed a warranty claim with the warranty provider, Montage Furniture Services. After two months with no word, I got a call from Montage asking if I received my new table top. I told the rep I had not. She told me that was not uncommon and that they would follow up with Ashley. Then another two months with no response. Then, when I started calling, that's when they gave me the run around, with Montage claiming they couldn't get in touch with Ashley and Ashley claiming they hadn't heard from Montage. When I called the customer service number listed on my bill from Ashley, I was told that I "needed to call the other customer service department" (what?!). When I finally got someone at "the other customer service department," I was told that (1) the part I needed was back-ordered and (2) she would reach out and get right back to me with an expected shipment date. After another week without a response, I contacted Ashley Furniture again and was told they had no record of my previous call and that the part I needed had been discontinued in February 2016. An hour later, I got a call from Montage offering me $260 for the table. Nightmare. Never again. read more

This took five weeks. Standard practice and I agreed to it so i cant complain. I recieved my furniture which is supposed to include a full set up of the configuration. The console section was not set up by the delivery service so i had to take three portions of my newly setup couch to correct the problem. Additionally on the opposite end of the sectional my second problem started. My window frame received a rude awakening when the back of my non-moving sectional decided it to wanted to recline. If my wall had not been there I would have completely fell backwards. Thankfully it was me and not a child or a house guest. ~~Policy~~ says I cannot recieve a new sectional until they attempt repair it first. Also if they cant repair my "New" Broken couch, i will have to wait the same amount of time as the original order? Really????? I dont get on some expedited list for what I feel should have been examined by QC before leaving the warehouse in the first place. How did the setup/delivery guys I stupidly tipped not fully set up my couch completely but not examine the dangerous furniture that could have serious hurt somebody... Im really stupid to sign a document that could not reconcile a delivery before a two month period. Lets see if it will take this long. Bought and started waiting on the 16th of December last year Got my couch on on the 20th of January this year. Our recliner started to have woodchips under it so I looked and the thing is falling apart at 30 days OLD! It seperated and they said it was our fault!!!! My husband and I bought an expensive dining room table set and 5 out of 6 chairs were chipped or cracked. The table did not look exactly how it looked on display. They would not let me return this without paying a 20% restocking fee even though it came out of the box damaged. No one would do anything for me. Finally a couple weeks later the service tech show up up and I show them everything that was wrong and after they left I noticed they still missed two chips and now someone they are booked up until May and today it is 4/12/16. I was also told they ordered me new bases for the table which I did not need new bases but they couldn't even order me new chairs. I will never buy from Ashley's Furniture again. read more

Purchased a Klaussner sleep sofa in July 2017. First time using the bed we noticed it didn't sleep well. Called the store and they sent out a Technician. The technician deemed it fine despite being shown what looked like a broken frame. The Ashley's store told us it was the same as their floor model and to try it for an extended period. The sofa is in a room that is never used. It is sat on only occasionally and we used the sleep sofa about 4 times. In November 2018, we noticed part of the sofa had slipped below the rest of the sofa. We called the Ashley's store and told them and they said it was over a year and they would do nothing. Even after telling them it was related to what we had called for already they said sorry, call the insurance. On November 10th or so I called the insurance and they scheduled a day to come look at it. They arrived on December 13th and found the entire frame to be broken. Calls were made again to the store and the manufacturer. Insurance has decided to repair it and has scheduled an appointment for. January 2019 over two months since my first call. I would avoid Ashley's as they seem to sell garbage. I would also avoid Klaussner as they made it and didn't seem to surprised or concerned that it fell apart. If I had paid $600 and not $1400 I may not be to upset. I'll never shop at Ashley's again! read more

The fabric on the sofa purchased is peeling after one year and I'm told this is normal. I purchased a warranty for the fabric and of course they will not honor their warranty. I'm either told no or get the runaround. Used cars salesmen operate with more integrity than this company. Just went to Ashley Furniture in Manchester NH to look at purchasing a new living room set but was followed around by the salesperson relentlessly. We repeatedly told her we were just browsing and would like to look around, that we would come and get her if we had any questions yet she still tagged along with us the entire time. Because of this we left and won't be making a purchase at this store.
