I purchased a Tempur-Pedic mattress from Ashley Furniture a few years ago because I wanted to support a local salesperson rather than buy directly from Tempur-Pedic. Before purchasing, I explained to the salesperson that I had been researching Tempur-Pedic mattresses for quite some time. My biggest concern was sleeping hot because I'm naturally a cool sleeper. She assured me that their top-of-the-line model with the active temperature-control system would solve that problem by cooling in the summer and warming in the winter. Based on her recommendation, I spent over $5,000 on the mattress and the base. Before making my decision, I had also looked at Tempur-Pedic's website. They advertised a 90-night trial along with promotions worth more than $300 hundred dollars including cash visa card. Despite getting a better overall deal directly from Tempur-Pedic, I chose to purchase from Ashley because I wanted the salesperson to receive the commission. From the very first night, I knew something wasn't right. The mattress still slept hot, and I woke up with back pain. I assumed I had the same 90-night trial, so I gave it several weeks, hoping my body would adjust. After about a month, I was still uncomfortable and contacted Tempur-Pedic directly. That's when I learned they couldn't help because I had purchased through a retail store. I then contacted Ashley Furniture, expecting they would stand behind the product they sold me. Instead, I was told there was nothing they could do because their return policy was only 72 hours. I was stunned. At no point during the sales process did the salesperson mention a 72-hour return policy. Had I known that such a restrictive policy existed, I never would have made the purchase through Ashley or I would have return it within 72 hours time frame. To make matters worse, I couldn't find the policy clearly disclosed on my receipt or prominently displayed where a customer would reasonably expect to see it before making such a significant purchase. As a result, I was left with over $5,000 mattress that has never been comfortable for me. Years later, I still regret this purchase because I continue to wake up with back pain. I hate the mattress and I despite Ashley. This experience wasn't just disappointing--it left me feeling that customer satisfaction ends the moment Ashley completes the sale. I chose Ashley over buying directly from Tempur-Pedic because I wanted to support their employee, but in return I received no meaningful assistance when the mattress failed to meet my needs. This is our first time purchasing sofas from Ashley. The purchase was smooth, great salesperson and quick delivery and set up. We bought two Padova full length sofas in November 2025. Six months later one of them started creaking when we sat down on it, softly at first and then louder. The other one began creaking too, but only sometimes. We called Ashley in July since the sofas have a one-year warranty on them and the customer service rep was nice and asked us to send in a video of the creaking, which I did before going on a two week trip. We could only record one sofa creaking, so that's what set up an appointment for. My husband who was staying home received the service technician on the day of the appointment. The tech told him that he has sofas at home that creak too, "expensive sofas", he said. I don't know if his sofas are from Ashley too, but we are middle aged people and have bought other sofas in the past, as have my in-laws, and we have NEVER had a creaking issue. My Living Spaces sofas that we have owned for over 15 years, and the Mathis Bros sofas that we replaced with these ones have seen kids growing up and have taken a lot of use in the past 15 years we've owned them and they never creaked. The technician reinforced the frame and it was fine for two weeks. We came home today and the moment my daughter sat down on it, it creaked again. Needless to say, I will be contacting them again in the morning and will update this review with the outcome. Until then, I would be wary of purchasing this particular sofa. read more

Following a negative delivery and return experience in early June, the store manager, Jessica, assisted with a replacement order via threshold delivery (direct, not using FedEx or UPS). I recieved my new floor mirror in one piece and am very pleased with the product. There is one scratch on the side of the frame, but it's not too obvious. The item was packaged well and their delivery drivers took care with handling it, so the outer box was also in good condition upon arrival... unlike the last one (pictured) that was torn and punctured. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. In the end, the store manager was helpful in getting it all sorted out. read more

Well this is a long story. I wanted to give Ashely's opportunity to correct their problem, but they reported falsely what their expert opinion was. I bought a new mattress in March. Spent a ton of money with them in the past. At the same store. Had issues getting this mattress even delivered with days off and continued issues. Then months alter the mattress starts to dip and fail. I called their warranty dept. they asked for pictures and lifting the mattress to get pics of the tags. Get a ruler and don't push down. I mean really why don't I just make the damn thing for them. They were impossible. After sending out an "expert" to measure the mattress. The guy was super nice and said yeah it's failed. He even warned me of what to do. Not to wait. To go directly to the store. And customer service said no. I have to wait for their response. After a few very frustrating days of texting back and forth with their warranty team. They Denied my claim. Then forwarded false info to the BBB pictures of the side of the bed that's not slept on. That didn't say "fail". But we have the pics. We always have two witnesses to the expert saying the mattress failed. So after years supporting them. No longer. Hopefully we will move forward with a proper claim. See if the judge sees their corruption. W would not buy a mattress from this company. Or sealy hybrid mattress. read more

Product: The quality of their products seems lower than that of Living Spaces products. Lower quality of leather, and fabrics. Stopped by last week for their 80th anniversary sale. Lots of good deals on their sofa and dining table sets. I for this event they also had an ice cream cart where you can get free small scoops. When you enter the store there are a few staff thay greets you right away and ask what you are looking for. Today I looked for a recliner for my family room. They have a variety of those. One with manual buttons and electric ones with USB ports for your electronic devices. Overall good selection and prices. Will be back soon. read more

I had the worst experience at Ashley yesterday. I went in, looked around, and identified a bed set and couch that I liked. I was impressed with the options, and the sales woman seemed nice. She brought her manager over, and I let them know that I was super interested. My floor had just been delivered, and I wanted to bring a piece over the next day to make sure everything matched. After I said this, they were extremely rude and started taking away the deals they were giving me. I simply needed more information to make sure it matched before I could make a final decision, and I didn't appreciate how rude they were. I work in sales and completely respect the process and how to close someone, but this is not how you do it. They should've said, "here's my card, let me know if you have any questions, and we will see you tomorrow". I have my floor now and I'm ready to go make sure it all matches, but after that experience, I don't want to buy from people that act like used car salesmen. I spent the entire day calling the store, trying to speak with a manager, but could only reach sales reps who kept saying they'd "let the manager know" to call me back. Of course, no one ever did. Between the hidden charges, false promises, and complete lack of follow-through, this company has proven itself to be untrustworthy and unorganized. First and foremost I would like to say Terri the so called salesperson at the Laguna Hills location was ok at the beginning knowing we were purchasing furniture for my mom. Why should I/we have to follow up on this.? Secondly our bed was delivered today 7/8/2026 and completely wrong item.! As I was on hold on my phone, my husband got home from work and I dialed the number from his phone and told the receptionist it is urgent we speak to the manager, within 20 minutes on hold manager came to the phone. Was on the phone with him for a half an hour described to him what happened and soonest delivery he could get would be Tuesday, July 14, which is another six days. From the moment we walked in, Kevin was helpful, knowledgeable, and--most importantly--not pushy. He gave us the space to look around at our own pace, answered our questions when we had them, and never once made us feel pressured to make a decision. They do not keep promises. Ordered a chair, was given a delivery date. Got 3 messages one each day confirming the date and saying that after confirmation I could no longer change the delivery date. I took the day off work. Guess who changed the delivery date 30 minutes before delivery time? Ashley Furniture did. A foreign call center that barely speaks English with patronized apologies and canned responses. Failed to connect me with a supervisor after multiple requests. We were home all day on the day of delivery - the people delivering the truck went to the wrong house and we never got our couch. The most uncomfortable shopping experience of my life.. as soon as we stepped in the door a man ran to us to immediately try making a sale, would not leave our side, even after we said we're just looking and would let him know if we need anything. He stayed within feet of us the entire visit, if we sat, touched or stood near anything for more than 30 seconds he would rush back over to talk to us about whatever it was and would not leave. Tried to make it out the door without getting another speech and he (once again) ran through a crowd to cut us off from the door and beg us to come back and ask for him again. Will never be stepping foot in this location again. Made the mistake of still buying a couch from them online about a month later and ended up with overstuffed cushions and an overall uncomfortable piece of furniture that even the pets barely enjoy sitting on... wish I had an opportunity to actually try the couch without the immense pressure of their employee staring us down/ desperate monologuing. Review is only for the Ashley Succulent & Perfume events: Ashley hosted Succulent and Perfume classes in the store. Along with a giveaway for the first 50 and raffles, there was coffee bar, mini donuts, crepes and a DJ. This event was so much fun. The DJ provided great music to vibe to. All the vendors were so sweet and their classes and food were delicious. Many people sat on the furniture throughout the store while eating, which I thought was a great idea because customers could envision and experience how functional and comfortable the pieces are. Hope there are more events like this in the future! read more

I have never had a worse customer service experience than dealing with Ashleys. I was sold a damaged item and their customer service rep literally told me to just donate it for a tax refund. I was going out of town for a week and wanted to wait, but I was guaranteed that the bed frame would not ship until the date I gave for my return. Why did I believe the salesman? I'm just too nice!!!! When I arrived home, my husband told me to cancel the sale and repurchase when we returned because the salesman just wanted a sale. On Monday, we left for our trip, but we had to return home on the way out because I'd forgotten something. As we walked to our front door, we saw a massive box from Ashley Furniture out front! It was just left there! It was the bed frame! I called the store to confirm that my order had been canceled. The representative confirmed that I had canceled my purchase. I then informed them that the frame was delivered anyway. I was promised a return call. Well, we left for our trip, and there has been no return call, and this huge box is still in my house. We decided to drive the extra 20 minutes to Laguna Hills, since we have had good experience at this location in the past. With in 5 minutes of being in the store I knew we made the right choice. Ugh, my family and I (as well as a few extended family members) actually despise shopping here. All but one singular time were we not hounded by sleazy, pushy salesmen only in it to win it. Earlier this year, one of their sales representatives was actually upset once we mentioned that we had a gift certificate that we had wanted to use. He suddenly wasn't very vested into helping us find the right items for our kitchen and/or living room. He went on and on saying that the gift certificate could only be used in store and barely checked on the computer if certain items we were interested in were even available at other branches since their inventory was low for what we were looking for. I am so glad that we were finally able to use our gift certificate as we don't plan on giving them any future business. read more
