PURPLE @ IRVINE SPECTRUM Parking in Irvine can be tricky, there's a lot of traffic, and many garages fill up quickly with long lines. I'd recommend parking near the Nordstrom area or in one of the outside lots, where it's usually easier to find a spot. I always love coming to the Irvine Spectrum Mall. The mall has so many incredible stores, and I love the architecture of each one. I stopped by Purple to shop for a mattress, and as one of the best high-end mattress stores, it did not disappoint. Everything is super comfortable, fluffy, and perfect for any preference or vibe. When we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the staff, who were friendly but not pushy. We were able to try everything at our own pace, and they even provide pillowcases to test with the mattresses. Visitied the showroom over the weekend and HAD to buy one of their pillows. Those Harmony Pillows, Oh my Goshhhhh. AMAZING! The customer service was terrible at the showroom though. The girl helping us had a bad attitude. She was like rolling her eyes when we would ask a question and had that RBF. Maybe she was on her period. I don't know. But we bought the pillows only for the reason that they are awesome. It had nothing to do with her customer service. If anything, that RBH could scare customers away. Customer service is ZERO stars. The product gets INFINITY stars because the pillows are thattttt good. And of course, one wouldn't do for me; I bought two of those fluffy things! I love sleep and it is very important to me. I got the King, Tall size for both pillows. My pillows arrived at my door-step today! I can't wait to try them and sleep tonight!!!! lol My boyfriend also bought the same pillow. This place surprised me. I honestly didn't know Purple had a showroom. I stumbled upon this location while visiting the Irvine spectrum. The gentleman was very nice and let me test all the different mattresses. He also showed me the difference between each one. Truly a great experience and amazing customer service. Summary: got Purple Restore Plus Firm from Sean who was great. Good for 6'2 200lb+ person! Last year we went to Torrance purple store because my partner wanted it. To me, they seemed like nice beds but I was skeptical about the gel grid system. So when Costco had a sale on the Casper king bed for $700 I bought that for myself and my partner. My partner is 6'2 200+lbs - It turns out the Casper caused severe pain in my partners back, and he was not sleeping well for weeks. I've always bought cheap beds because I didn't know any better, but I did talk to my chiropractor, who is also an Olympic weightlifter, who said they spent five grand on a bed! (she has a Tempur-pedic bed) So coming to Purple again seemed like a logical choice. My partner wanted it and now the price tag makes sense. This time we came to the purple store in the Irvine Spectrum and met Sean. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the bed. He answered all my questions and was very patient. He explained that the bed was created by people creating medical devices to help people not get bedsores, but then they liked it so much they decide to sell it. I asked if he really has one or is he just selling to me and he said yes he does. He bought a bed and loved it so much he started selling them! That if he slept well he'd make more money.His knowledge and confidence in the product convince me and after spending an hour laying on the beds we bought one. I enjoy firm beds, was looking at a more firm one but ended up with the Purple Restore Plus Firm- it is firm but also soft. It has coils, foam, and gel grid and a cover. Good for combo side back belly sleepers. So far in 3 nights that has rang true. Firm but soft and supportive enough. I do not really feel the gel grid laying on it unless I try to dig my hand into it. Cooling - The bed is cooler to sleep on then on the Casper bed as described. Is it super cool? No. I can be warm on it when it's cold. That was also a worry of mine! Price - $3k was on the high point but now I know for larger people this really matters! So it's worth it for my partner to sleep well. We were able to finance. I should have got a new cc for points but we needed the bed sooner haha. Other Benefit - It came with free bed sheets or you can upgrade to the premium for $65. I have king sheets I hope will fit on the bed and took the free ones worth $150. The nicer ones are $209 so maybe it was worth the upgrade but I liked the color "misty blue" better on the basic ones. The sheets alone are pretty cool because the band on it is reinvented with a band that looks like the band of men's boxers (?) so I think will hold well to this bed. I also bought the mattress protector, Sean advised that we get it. He was able to give us a deal for 25% off and I appreciate that!! Service at the store was great. Delivery came in about 2 weeks as Sean advised. I got a call to schedule delivery window and they sent an confirmation text. Then called when they arrived. The delivery men were prompt but not quite "white glove" as described. They're delivery men who have to move HEAVY beds all day. They didn't seem happy or friendly but they did the job and I am ok with that. They had to take it upstairs which I'm sure was difficult and I did tip them. If i end up returning it I'll update the post. So far so good! read more

The Purple Mattress Showroom has been completely revamped and it is amazing inside! My husband and I have had a Purple mattress for years and when we were looking to buy another for our new home we came here to see the new options and it was a fantastic experience thanks to Sean C. After calling ahead Sean recognized our names when we came into the store and walked us through all of the details of each mattress. He was full of helpful information but also gave my husband and I plenty of time and space to talk and debrief on our own. We came back less than a week later with my Mother in Law and Sean went above and beyond to help her as well. She was a pretty tough customer as she initially had another mattress company in mind but Sean wasn't pushy in the slightest. He answered all of her questions, offered up helpful information, and just gave her time. She ended up buying a Purple and walked out confident in her purchase. Loved our experience here. We were welcomed in, told to try out any mattress we wanted and that we were "welcome to take a nap" hahaha. The vibe was cool. We came a few weeks ago and purchased the original purple pillow. The person helping us was so sweet and patient and took her time explaining everything to us. We ordered the original purple pillow and proceeded to wait for it to ship to our house. However, when we got it a week later, we didn't like it as much. I think it worked great on the mattress at the store, but just not on the mattress we had at home. I couldn't last more than a night. We brought it back in store to return (if you order in store, you can return in store). The person working there processed the return 0 questions asked and made the entire process very easy. He showed us the harmony pillow instead and we bought two of those. Over all great experience with this show room. The people there were extremely friendly and helpful. They really want to make sure you have the product that best fits you and your needs instead of just getting you out the door. read more

1/4 update: customer service for purple has been horrible. Not sure if it due to the holidays but it's been almost a full month that my mattress has been laying rolled up in my living room because there was an issue with delivery. I was never notified that my mattress was on its way nor was I given a curtesy call for delivery time frame. The only call I did received was when they were looking for my condo because they were going to drop off my mattress. Well side note, I wasn't home the day they were going to drop off the mattress since I was working and couldn't leave. So instead they left my $4,000 mattress on my balcony for the world to see. Luckily, my mattress was still there when I got home from work. But since they delivered it without me there, they weren't able to haul away my old mattress as mentioned in my invoice and at time of purchase. Now we are here, almost a month later and finally had the white glove service come to haul away my old mattress and set up my new purple mattress. But now I've lost this month to test out my mattress to see if I like it. Given that purple only gives a 100 night trail and I haven't even been able to use my mattress for almost 30 days I hope that they do something to try to rectify the situation. What I thought would be a simple and hassle free thing, has turned into a nightmare and a headache. read more

Purple is not the way to go. They (this specific location) don't communicate with their delivery people. The delivery people just showed up one day, when I wasn't home, with the mattress. WTF? They never called to schedule it. Then when contacting Purple at the store, they took no responsibility. I went through the worst experience with them and ended up canceling the order. If THIS is how they are, when I haven't even received my item, imagine if something else went wrong with the mattress.. ugh. Customer support was also SO not helpful. They just talk in circles. This place deserves way more than 5 stars. Johnny was absolutely a delight to talk to and buying products from him felt so easy and smooth. My boyfriend and I went in looking for a sheet set, and Johnny informed us of the bundle that exists with the pillow as well. We fell in love with the way the pillow feels and ended up getting the bundle while saving a nice amount with the student discount he informed us of as well.
