I had a great experience with Backyard Expressions and couldn't be happier with my purchase. I originally discovered Polywood at Costco, but they didn't carry the style and color I was looking for. I then checked the Polywood website, but the pricing was much higher than I expected, so I decided to visit Backyard Expressions instead. They have several locations near me, and I visited two of them before finally choosing the perfect patio set. What impressed me most was their huge selection of styles, colors, and configurations. Not only did they have exactly what I wanted, but their price was also 5% lower than ordering directly from the Polywood website. Sean and Sarah were incredibly helpful throughout the process and took the time to answer all my questions and help me make the right choice. As a pleasant surprise, Jim, the owner, personally delivered my furniture himself. That level of service is hard to find these days. Backyard Expressions is a wonderful family-run business, and I love supporting local family-owned companies. The customer service was outstanding from start to finish, and I'm extremely happy with my new patio furniture. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality outdoor furniture and exceptional service. read more

I really didn't want to leave a negative review, but my experience at Backyard Expressions Laguna Hills last night needs to be shared. We were helped by a salesperson named Sean. I told him the exact model I wanted and also mentioned that I needed the same base model but with lights. He pointed to a display grill and said, "This one has lights," which I assumed was just showing the feature, not telling me that I would be receiving that exact floor model. We confirmed the model number and accessories, and made the payment. Happily left until I saw the delivered items. What showed up at my house was a used, disassembled floor model in terrible condition. I was never, not once, told that I was buying the display unit. When I ask what happened, Sean told me the discount was "because it's the floor model." That explanation makes no sense because I've bought from them before with a discount and still received new products. A discount does NOT automatically mean the item is used, damaged, or from the showroom, especially if the salesperson never disclosed it. No professional salesperson should assume that pointing at a display grill means the customer has agreed to purchase that exact worn floor model. We were very clear about the model number we wanted. This whole experience made me feel completely misled and very disappointed. I hope management will take this seriously and reach out to resolve it, because this is not the level of transparency or honesty customers expect, especially for a return customer for so many years. read more

We worked with Sean. Great recommendations, and gave realistic feedback on what would complement our backyard. He was super helpful as there many options to choose from. Very attentive and excellent communication. If your looking everything backyard - this is the spot. Most furniture stores have a tiny outdoor section and this place had ALL outdoor. Delivered fast and love the quality! read more

My wife and I completely renovated our backyard and pool two years ago. We chose Backyard Expressions for our cooking equipment and gas fireplace insert, and we've been extremely happy with their products and service. Recently, I suspected a potential gas leak and reached out to Shaun at Backyard Expressions, who had been our salesperson during the original purchase and installation. To my surprise, Shaun remembered me from two years ago! He listened to my concerns and, along with his manager Tom, personally came out to our home that same afternoon to inspect the fireplace insert. After carefully evaluating the situation, they determined there was no issue with the fireplace insert--I had simply mistaken something for a problem. Despite this, Shaun and Tom took their time to explain what might have caused my concern. They confirmed that the fireplace insert was installed correctly and operating safely. What stood out most was their exceptional customer service. Both Shaun and Tom displayed great attitudes, professionalism, and a genuine willingness to help. Even though the issue turned out to be nothing, they made sure I felt valued and respected as a customer. I'm grateful for their thoughtfulness, knowledge, and dedication. Thank you, Shaun and Tom, for going above and beyond! read more

Outstanding, old school, responsive service. I can't say enough, a very good experience

We had a great experience with Backyard Expressions! Sean was great; friendly, patient and informative. He answered all of our questions and the installation coordination was great. The installer (I think his name was Steve) was professional and in and out in a reasonable amount of time! We'd recommend them and use them again. read more

After listening to what we were looking for, Roxanne did an excellent job of taking us around the showroom to point out possible items for us to consider. She thoroughly explained the method of construction, care of the fabrics, warranties, etc., There was no pressure whatsoever. Both she and Jim were very friendly and helpful. The showroom had a wide selection of furniture and barbecues. They can also custom order whatever you'd like. After we determined the style of patio furniture we wanted to purchase it turned out that the set we wanted was on sale at 30% off. That was an added bonus. We've purchased similar furniture before and still have it after 30 years. The service, selection, and value are exceptionally good. We highly recommend this store. You will be satisfied with your purchase should you decide to buy their products. Nancy U. read more

My wife and I stopped in at backyard expressions to check out what they may have to offer for our new backyard. We were greeted by Sean who pretty much went through their entire inventory and all the options that had available. He help us compare the items and told us the pros and cons of each He even gave us some personal opinions on things that he liked and why. He spent a lot of time with us and we appreciated the details and clarity he offered. However, we did have one issue with the table we selected that we discovered after it was delivered. Wasn't a big deal but it was kind of a bummer. Sean continue to work with us to make it right and in the end things turned out better than we originally thought. If you're in the market for some top-end patio furniture, this is the place to go. I also really appreciate that it's family owned and I can't really remember when I receive such great customer service. Something that seems to be very rare in the world lately. read more

Connie Sutorius at Backyard Expressions is amazing! She is friendly, smart and resourceful! Connie greeted us warmly and walked us through the showroom. She didn't pressure us at all. We weren't planning on purchasing furniture that day but with her expertise we found exactly what we needed. Connie educated us on the best outdoor furniture material to withstand the weather, made sure the dimensions of the sofa and tables would fit in our outdoor room, and listened to exactly what we wanted and when we would need it! She made sure we would receive our new outdoor furniture within 3 weeks in time for my husband's retirement party. And she delivered! We could not be happier with the beautiful furniture and the fantastic service we received! Five + stars!!!! read more

A couple of months ago my husband and I were on the hunt for a new patio table and outdoor sectional. Glad we found Backyard Expressions. Excellent customer service from the moment we arrived. Looked at other stores that had outdated furniture but BE had current, comfortable furniture along with a large variety to chose from. We worked with both Rob and Connie and both were professional and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this business! read more

I recently bought some patio furniture and a large umbrella from backyard expressions. Their products are high-quality, and their customer service is outstanding!. The person I worked with was Sean. He was responsive and very helpful throughout the entire process. In fact, after I got my bar stools home for my backyard barbecue, I realized I had ordered the wrong thing. I meant to order counter stools, which are a bit shorter. I inquired with Sean, and the company gladly exchanged them for the correct stools. They did this even though it was a special order. I would highly recommend this place, if you were in the market for any kind of backyard or outdoor furniture. read more

We have been searching for a fire pit table for a couple of years. We looked online; prices were good, but impossible to evaluate texture, color, etc. We went to Backyard expressions and met with Tom. He was very knowledgeable and patient. We found the perfect table. He let us take color samples home, and decided on just the right color. We told him we were hoping we could get it in time for my mom's 98th birthday. He made a call to the manufacturer, and at this point he has scheduled delivery just in time. On top of that, the price was very fair. Stayed tuned for an update, but as of now I would absolutely recommend this business. We are VERY satisfied! read more

I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Backyard Expressions!!! Our salesperson Connie Sutorious went above & beyond to help us find our dream bbq. ONLY IF I COULD HAVE GIVEN A 10 STAR, I WOULD... Where do I start? We have just purchased a new home, and my house warming party is just days away, and my wife and I had challenges in sourcing quality outdoor furniture for our home... Yes, we could have purchased online, however we wanted to physically see the furniture and it had to be in stock, due to our time constraint and time was of the essence for us with the event. From the initial phone call, I spoke to Connie, was up-beat, answered all of my questions, passed the test, and my wife and I was on our way to the show room store! All I can say is WOW! Was met by Connie and Jacob and both were very welcoming, did a few rounds of the entire showroom and the selection was impressive, more importantly was the product knowledge and about the company. Process of elimination, a few cost estimates, and here we are... We ended up with a special promotion on a Brown Jordan that we couldn't pass up on. Ironically, it was the first patio furniture set that we looked at when we got into the showroom and ended on deciding on, it was perfect! We ended up purchasing not just the patio seating set, but also the outdoor dining set with six chairs to complete our backyard with the same product line, perfection! This was on a Saturday, and my party event was the next day on Sunday and delivery company were off. Strategized with both Connie and Jacob, and they were so accommodating, rented a Uhaul Sunday morning, they had everything wrapped up, for me and was on our way back home to set-up and had the most memorable family party at the new home! I wanted to thank the staff, Connie and Jacob for exceeding all of our expectations and more, and would highly recommend Backyard Expressions for all things outdoor space improvements and furniture one hundred and twenty percent! read more

I has wandered in to Backyard Expressions about 8 months ago. Sean showed me some fireplace doors that I was hoping to replace one day. The fireplace doors were old, coated with ancient brass and wood handles. It was finally time to replace the doors and I remembered Backyard Expressions. i met lovely Connie at the store and she helped me select a fireplace door. I needed a modern mantle as well. Jim came out to measure and helped me with a mantle that would match the doors. The doors and mantle came in earlier than expected by weeks. Mike just installed the door and the mantle. This company is so, so professional. The service is impeccable. If you are looking for a fireplace and mantel just go see them. The other reviews speak for themselves! read more

Went based on yelp reviews and I wasn't disappointed. Connie was excellent every step of the way. We have a small yard and we're working with some specific dimensions our landscape designer suggested. Connie was well versed on everything in the showroom and took time to also look at what could be ordered. She made sure we got exactly what we needed. She was informative, and extremely pleasant to work with. We ran into some unexpected delays with the project and Backyard Expressions graciously held our set while we worked through all of the set backs. When we were ready, Connie set up delivery for just a day or so later. The delivery team was timely and communicative. They wiped everything down and placed it where we requested. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. If you go, ask for Connie! read more

My husband and I had been talking about getting a custom kitchen in our backyard that would match our current look. We stepped into backyard expressions on a whim and boy were we surprised at all the amazing samples in their store. They really have something for everybody and the staff was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. It didn't take us long to know this was the place we were going to order from. Tom came out to our house a few days later to measure, give design advise and have samples for us to choose from. 3 weeks later we had our outdoor kitchen. We love it. It turned out even better than we imagined. The design is beautiful and craftsmanship perfect. My husband and I have a motto when we do a project. We do it right or not at all. We don't look for the cheapest but the most knowledgeable and responsive. If you are looking for a backyard kitchen or anything yard related, you have to check out their store. Costco stuff is nice but does not compare to the quality you will get at this store. read more

Backyard Expressions - The table is roomy and the chairs are comfy! I love my new patio set. - Outdoor Furniture Stores Near Me - Laguna Hills, California

I recently visited this store for the first time. I knew I wanted a fire pit and was happy to see they had several kinds in their storeroom to choose from. Tom helped me and was very knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive. The pricing was fair and my order was placed immediately. He was very upfront about timing for product and delivery/ installation options. I was also interested in furniture and although what I was looking for was not in the storeroom, he spent time with me reviewing some online options based on descriptions of what I wanted. At a later time, when I found what I wanted online, I contacted him to see what he could do and ordered with him as the price was good and delivery/install was very reasonable. Their customer service and knowledge of products, I rate highly. as of now, my products are on order, so I have not received or had them installed. This business is worth a visit. read more

We just had a gas insert with logs installed in our existing fireplace. It comes with a remote control as well. Cool stuff. I took my time and shopped around for the patio furniture I wanted. This is rather pricey so I took my time. At first I went to their competitor,CP, located in SJC but I have purchased from them in the past and they are just unpleasant to deal with. Not friendly / helpful whatsoever. These folks here could not have been nicer and price matched the set I wanted. Super helpful. I think I rearranged the furniture 4 times, no problem. Suzanne helped me the first time I went in. Great experience overall. read more

Tyler and Alan at the Laguna Hills location were fantastic. Lots of patio sets to choose from and the store was spotless. Forget the other patio stores, this one is the best!!! This is the Top Notch of all Patio Stores! Brian helped me with my furniture order and I could not love my Telescope patio furniture more! Brian greeted me, listened to what I was searching for and led me directly to the set. He allowed me to move the pieces around and mix sets until I was happy with the arrangements. (Need I mention Brian was extremely patient?) He checked availability and provided prices. While looking at the set I was ready to order, I saw a dining set and Brian was also very helpful with it. The gal running the store is unbelievably knowledgeable about each and every vendor and their products. I later found out she the owner's daughter. Once I made my selections, Brian made sure I knew Telescope is a reputable manufacturer and explained their warranties. The best part... here it is a two days after I made my purchase and I am sitting on my patio in my classy and comfy new furniture. I am in Heaven! Backyard Expressions carries a large variety of patio products. They maintain a healthy stock on hand and obviously know the business, the trends and man their stores with competent, professional and kind employees. Even the delivery gentleman were top notch every step of the way. They called first, arrived in the set time frame, unwrapped my furniture, placed the furniture on my patio and placed the cushions on the pieces. Don't run store to store looking for the best product or the best deal. Backyard Expressions delivers on all accounts. Their employees are top notch. Service is amazing and quick. FYI- I originally ordered my Telescope patio furniture from a different dealer in May and experienced delay after delay. I was informed it will be the end of August before it comes in! I cancelled that order and stopped in Backyard Expressions and the rest is history!!! I LOVE BACKYARD EXPRESSIONS! read more
