They treat you well when you're in the store, once you've made your purchases they could care less if your happy with your items. My wife and I purchased 4 bar stools from the Folsom store. The stools turned out to be too tall for a brand new standard height counter. Called them within 24 hours to discuss how to return them. I even offered to bring them to the store and/or pay a restocking fee. I was told ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND NO RETURNS. I've called and left messages with the store personnel two times today without a call back. Each time I've called, I was told a manager would call me back. 7 hours later and still no call. Go somewhere else. Horrible customer service, horrible delivery guys, horrible management. We went in and worked with a friendly salesman. He was awesome. We decided on a bunch of furniture for our new house. Over $8,000 worth. We went home to think it over. After some through we decided to go ahead and get it. Made a phone order to pay for our balance. Accepted our balance we were go to go for a delivery a week out. The night before the delivery we get a call, " we can't deliver your furniture because cooperate hasn't confirmed your payment" well the money was taken out of our account of the time we approved transaction. We waited an extra 4 days for them to approve the transaction. Delivery guys came at 8:30 at night. We were tired and didn't notice the huge crack in our entertainment center. Called and they scheduled a tech to fix it. He looks for 30 seconds and says it's not replaceable. We needed a new one. That's pending. Dresser that was back ordered finally gets delivered. Low and behold the delivery guys don't have the hardware to set up the dresser. Refused the order and canceled the dresser. Please save your money and shop somewhere else. There are two levels of my negative experience with your company - at the corporate level and with the store management and personnel. I hope this achieves some change in how things operate but given the treatment and lack of respect I have experienced to date I am not hopeful. Full Disclosure to Customers - Getting your Order, Someday: I believe you; the corporate office needs to address the gross misinformation regarding receipt of purchased furniture. I made a purchase of over $4000 in August, 2020 of new living furniture and related accessories. This was my second purchase from Ashley Furniture and the Folsom store. The first case was furnishing my now deceased father's new home. We were pleased with the quality of the furniture, customer services and delivery thus when I was looking for myself I went back to the store. My experience was completely different. The purchase went fine initially. But after almost seven months I have yet to receive all my furniture. It took over five months for the pieces I have today and even that was a mess with repeated rescheduling of the delivery through phone calls from random 877 numbers with people that were clearly not prepared to answer questions about the reason for the delay and when I might expect my purchases. And if you missed the call (I do work for a living) you were on hold for up to an hour in one case to return the call. I appreciate that there may be delays given the nature of our world today with COVID and the like, but it is your responsibility to be honest and proactive with your customers regarding the status of their orders. My experience is that you believe that you have us in a vice, and it is our problem if it takes you this long to deliver. I have heard repeatedly that have a choice - I could accept your teams and dismal customer service, cancel my order and/or find another piece that might match my furniture. Not much of a real solution and disingenuous to say the least. This is not good customer service, or appropriate corporate behavior. Folsom Store Management - Need New Manager: And today's experience at your Folsom, California store should be embarrassing to you. I expected a delivery of the last two pieces, a matching recliner and table lamp this week and without hearing anything took the initiative to find out what to expect. You cannot make this stuff up. I reached out to the store by phone to be told that my items had been canceled! I was never contacted about this matter although the staff at the store say the record shows they tried to reach me to let me that my authorization had expired. I received no such call or notification. Dissatisfied with the lack of customer support on the phone, I went to the store to see a manager. When I arrived at the store I requested the manager. Instead of the managing who was looking right at me from his desk, I was directed to the salesperson on the floor that I worked with last August. The manager remained in his office, playing on a laptop, and refused to look at me or acknowledge my existence. His door was open, and I was looking right at him! He clearly did not think my concerns were valid or worth his time. Instead, he deferred to the young woman at the reception desk and the salesperson. As a manager myself I considered it my job to address customers' needs and support my team. This manager would be fired if he worked for me and likely most others if he behaved in this manner. New Status of Order - Maybe Fulfilled after a Year of Waiting : So, after being ignored by the store management and repeatedly being told my staff that they were sorry (I have heard so many "I'm Sorry" from Ashley Furniture I cannot count at this point), I was basically told that I had a choice - I can reorder the recliner and lamp I have waited since last summer; I can cancel the order and not complete my living room décor; or find another chair with you or somewhere else. I reordered because I would like to hope that someday I can have the room I purchased and envisioned last August. I have no indication when I will see either piece but hope that someday Ashley Furniture will honor their sales and provide real customer service. I will give it the six months noted on the NEW sales slip but frankly do not believe anything you and your people say. I hope I see them someday for my home, family and frankly a bit of my well being given the despicable treatment I have received these last seven months. This store has the worst customer service. We bought outdoor furniture and bought the warranty package the salesman was relentless on. When one of our 800.00 swivel chairs broke we called them and they said we bought indoor furniture warranty and not outdoor so there was nothing v we could do. We had our 11 month old shopping with us and was fussy at some points, but Tina still had a smile on her face. She was able to give us a few discounts, with the help of her wonderful manager Val. I bought a Cal King set and want to exchange the 5 drawers chess to a smaller one as it does not fit well in my room. This has been the worst experience I have ever had with purchasing anything! And unfortunately my wife and I are just getting started. The manager at the store said he would call me back days ago, still waiting. And I refused delivery of several BROKEN pieces and yes I mean several, we refuse to sign for the furniture and made it clear to the delivery driver we wanted to refuse any delivery on broken pieces. Guess what? The delivery driver forged our name! When I called corporate head office they said someone signed. It looked like scribbles but was In fact signed. WTF! The driver did take some of the furniture back but left the power sofa with the motors that don't work and missing thread in several areas. They left the end table that has a leg shorter than the other three so it rocks like a rocking chair, can't even put anything on it. They left the dining room server with a door that won't close. Still have a chest delivered two weeks earlier (part of a set) that has a huge crack In the top, we did sign for that because a tech was going to come out and he did and stayed it needed to be replaced, yea ya think! Still waiting that. but it was how we knew to refuse anything broken on future shipments. Had no idea they can just have the driver sign for you and leave the furniture if they choose. If the manager at the Folsom location would have called back to inform us what was going to happen like he stated he would I would still be playing nice. But one of my pet peeves is men, Say what you mean and do what you say! Meanwhile I have a house full of broken pieces I did not even sign for and refused! Wasting my time to get it all sorted out. Looked at alot of furniture stores and ill admit in store was great so bought a new couch and recliner as went very smooth and good apon delivery i had The furniture placed in my shop across my property from house it was delivered on a thursday so saturday brought it all down to the driveway by house opened up the boxs and unwrapped everything looked good brought in house and set up looked good went back to work was gone 2 days upon getting home went to sit down and reached for the remote and there are 2 roaches jumped up killed em and started looking could not find anymore so vacuumed ever crease and hoped four the best next day went to break down the box mind you it was still in the driveway and under the flaps of the box were a crap load more roaches called immediately was told management was not in and they would call me the next day and arrange to swap out furniture and they were very sorry never heard from anyone instead received a email saying after reviewing my complaint that it was custom miss use so i will be calling again tomorrow and will never be back again. read more

I went there because they advertised they had a sofa sectional on sale for $599. When I got there, they told me they just sold their last one. The add came out in the paper on Friday and I went there Sunday. I decided to look around and see what else they might have available. The salesperson kept following me around the store and every piece of furniture I sat on, she felt compelled to tell me about it and what a "lovely" item it was. Absolutely do not ask them for any help at all they will not help you! I bought new bedroom furniture and mattress from them in March it was all great and wonderful very helpful at the store level. However, when we were there the sales lady and man were very understanding of my husband and mine situation having to possibly move out of state and they were insistent that with the 5 year warranty it wouldn't matter where we lived the furniture could be fixed. Which was a big deal for us since we weren't sure with my husband work life where we would be living soon. Well fastforward a months and a half the drawers on our footboard broke after just laying down for the night. It was installed incorrectly with missing footing under the drawers that my husband and myself did not notice until it broke. So we followed the instructions and filed a claim with the 5 year warranty plan the claim people told us since Ashley installed it wrong we needed to contact them to fix it. We'll fast forward a couple more weeks we call Ashley Furniture and they tell us that since my husband and I have to more to Lincoln in August and we wanted it fix before then that they can't fix their own mistake and on top of that my warranty is voided! When at the time of purchase they were very insistent that it would be covered no matter where we live! And it happened before we moved! Literally like a month after we bought it! Now my husband and I are pretty much having to spend days calling 50 different numbers that Ashley keeps trying to tell me there nothing there going to do for us. Terrible customer service, damaged goods, managers won't return calls and delivery stole sentimental item in the home. I wish I would have read the reviews prior to my purchase. Customer service is terrible and managers do not take calls or call customers back. Purchased a bed frame, delivery was scheduled pretty quickly. Item arrived broken and the delivery guys tried to tape the broken boards but ultimately couldn't put the bed together due to other prices being the wrong size. During the assembly they decided to use some tools my husband left on our dresser and somehow 1 of the tools in the set went missing. I've been trying to get in touch with the distribution center to get the tool back, since it has sentimental value - it was a gift from my husbands father. No one will return my call, the driver won't admit he "mistakenly" took our tool and somehow, 3 days later the bed frame still hasn't made its way back to the distribution hub so we can get a redelivery date. This has been a nightmare and it's clear that Ashley doesn't care about anything but collecting your money. They need to take a good hard look at there company values, ethics & staff. Allowing delivery staff to go to customers homes, only to take what's not there's, is bad business. Do better and hold your staff and managers accountable for behavior. read more

I went to this location for the first time last weekend. I was instantly greeted by Aja when I came in. I was allowed to browse through the store at my own pace without feeling like I was being targeted for a sale. When I had a question Aja was close by to answer it for me. She would answer my question & then let me browse on my own some more. I really liked that! When I was on the fence about making a purchase, Aja offered some subtle recommendations that helped me to feel comfortable & confident in my decision. She never once pushed me, which I really appreciate! I received the best customer service & had the best experience I've ever had at a furniture store. I went into this store in August 2021 to buy a living room set. We decided on a power recliner set. The salesman told us the reclining chair and loveseat were in stock and that I could have them delivered that weekend. I asked about the sofa/couch and he said it was on back order for "a few weeks." He did NOT tell me that if I accepted "partial delivery" that none of my order would be returnable. Well, here I am, March 2022, 7 months later. I still have no couch. They have delayed it so many times that I just laugh when they tell me a delivery date because I have ZERO confidence that it will actually come that day. Came here at 8pm on a weekday, I knew exactly what I wanted, I had done my research on these couches for weeks...in addition, my inlaws had purchased the SAME EXACT COUCHES a couple weeks previously and I knew what they paid. The guys who assisted us showed us the couches and made it sound like $3,000 was a GREAT DEAL and a STEAL. Turns out that my inlaws paid $1,600 and I knew the internet price was $1,500. After some negotiating he made it sound like $1,650 was the lowest he could go. Finally after a while we agreed on a price just because I didn't want to make things difficult by going online just to save $50. Everything was settled and friendly and we set up an install date. The installers came and dropped off the couches, which I noticed a day later that when they boxcuttered the boxes to take the couches out, they ripped the bottom of my loveseat (the cloth piece was now hanging from being ripped). Since I purchased the $150 replacement warranty, I called them and tried to get assistance. turns out the warranty company has no idea who I am and says I am uninsured. I emailed them my invoice and receipt which shows I paid for warranty, and they have began ignoring me. Do not shop here, and do not buy the warranty. read more

When we slept for a week something was wrong I measure the bed it was eastern king bed deliver. I call the store spoke to there office explain to them the problem they said since we took the bed on delivery it was our fault and said she would look it to it and call back she did that call back. I call again she said she would have the Valentine the manger call he never did. I call the third time ask for manger spoke to him and explain to him our paper shows Calif King and he said that he could not do anything about it that basic we are screw we have to keep the bed that they send wrong. If I could give zero stars I would! DO NOT SHOP AT ASHLEY! Worst quality furniture! I bought a mattress from them 2 years ago. The sales people tell you it comes with a 10 year warranty. They said anything at all goes wrong you get a new one. Nope that's not the case. They sent a tech out who took measurements and I had to wait a week. Which by the way it's sunken in about 3 1/2 to 4 inches on each side! Very uncomfortable to sleep when your falling to the side with a large hump in the middle. They called me back and said that's normal wear and tear! And they will not replace it. I spent $1,300 on a mattress that's only 2 years old. I also bought a leather couch from them 4 years ago and the leather is peeling off were the head rests are. Mind you I take really good care of my furniture. Also the end tables, coffee table and dining room table look like crap, they did not hold up well. Even when I clean them they look dirty and have marks where the lamps set (also from Ashley) All I can say is the sales people lie! And the company Ashley does not stand behind there product! There furniture is cheaply made! And they have awful costumer service! I will NEVER shop at Ashley again. read more

They shipped the chairs to us and we picked up the table from the warehouse 2 days later. When I picked up the furniture i asked about the return policy and he said you have to talk to your salesperson. Anyway, I get home and its a cream white color! Does not match our white wood cabinets and trim. Oh well... at least I didn't put it together.. I'll take it back tomorrow. I called our salesperson to arrange the return and she said "oh I'm sorry, once it's in your house you can't return it!" WHAT! We just paid $750 for a table that we don't want! My boyfriend and I went to Ashley furniture in Roseville and we walked around the entire store and no one even talked to us. I started walking to a sales boy and he turned walked away went to one of the recliners and started playing on his phone. I went to a girl at the finance desk to see if there was another store that had the couch we wanted. The lady asked why and I told her what happened and she went and got the manager. As we were walking out the door they stopped us and we told him what had happened and I informed him that he just lost a cash sale because no one wanted to help us. We went to the Folsom store to get the couch that we wanted worst decision I've made, going to Ashley Furniture. After everything that happened at the Roseville store I still ordered the couch through the Folsom store I figured out they ordered the wrong couch the next day so I called them before it was delivered and I THOUGHT it was solved but I was wrong. They still delivered the wrong couch and there is nothing I can do about it now. I get ignored and treated like shit at the Roseville store to the point we walk out because playing games on their phones was more important then me buying a couch. Then go to the Folsom store because I have this stupid glitch in my head that everyone deserves a 2nd chance, I think I'm over that now. Not only did they live up to the horrible standards Roseville set but now I'm out the money for something I didn't order and something I caught but it still wasn't fixed on their end. Over it!!
