To be fair, the store presents very nicely and out salesman was very polite. We'd done our research before coming and knew the barstools we were interested in. We were told they'd need to be ordered but we'd receive them the next week. Their set-up cost is way too high for a couple of stools, so we went with basic delivery. They confirmed delivery the day before but then called while we were out to dinner and told us that they only had one of two of our stools. We said we'd wait until they had both (we had one completely broken one at home and needed these). The afternoon that we should have orignally gotten the stools, I received several confusing texts asking if I wanted to schedule my delivery. Delivery of what?? After some phone calls, equally confusing, we were told to expect them this week. Well, guess what, the stools come in a box of two. They had our two stools last week but didn't know their own product lines. You can only buy them in twos. We won't be risking doing business with this store ever again. It looks like we are only one of many victims of their mismanagement. I went into Ashley Furniture this week to look at bed frames and headboards since I bought a new adjustable base and mattress set from another retailer. I couldn't find anything I liked in the store so the salesman said they could order anything I wanted online. The salesman was nice so instead of just ordering myself I had him do it so he would get the sale. He didn't show me the itemized transaction and I was distracted (working from my phone) so I didn't ask to see it; that's my mistake. The frame was delivered 2 days later and it's the wrong frame; the salesman actually ordered the wrong frame and the delivery guys didn't check the order with me before assembling it. They were over an hour past the delivery window, it was the end of the day so I'm sure they just wanted to go home. Since it's been assembled I can't return it so I'm stuck with a frame I do not really like. It's my fault too for not checking but if the salesman or delivery man had bothered to check with me I would have caught it. I went in to Ashley furniture in Folsom today to look at a chair that I saw online. They ended up not having the exact chair that I was looking for, but they had other items in the same family of seating so I tested them out and showed them the one I wanted online and was assured they could order it for me. Now for the issue- I want to state that the saleslady that I worked with was super nice and was trying to work with me and her boss- I showed her the chair I was looking at. Online, it came up as 649.00. It wouldn't show that price on her end, it's 799.00. So I show her my phone, on their companies' website, with that price. She goes to her boss, twice, and he will not budge on the price. I was asked if I'd still like to purchase it, and I said no thanks, why would I pay $150 more for the same item...? So I came home, and I have just purchased it at the cheaper price online. Seems pretty lame that they lost a sale because they wouldn't honor the price that their online store shows... I felt bad for the saleslady, I'm assuming she works on commission so she had to lose out on a sale. I purchased a couch at this location about 7 years ago and was super happy with my purchase and the interaction. This time, not so much. A very helpful sales agent helped us select a dining room table and chairs. He convinced us to purchase a warranty, as well. After about a week, some areas began to chip, leaving small holes that look terrible. It has been over a month now without any remedy, or even a single follow-up. The warranty company says it's new, so still covered by Ashley. Ashley customer service gave me a claim number, and promised to follow-up within 72 hours, but maybe they mean 72 weeks? They never called back after several attempts. I am considering options, but all are a pain. It is hard to imagine how a business model that chooses to treat their customers this way can survive. Zero stars! Canceled a couch order and never received my $1,314.51 refund--now nearly two months later. Despite multiple calls, escalations, and confirmations, nothing was resolved. I was given conflicting information, incorrect guidance, and promises of callbacks that never happened. The Folsom manager (Phillip) never returned my calls, and no apology or accountability was offered. Holding over $1,000 for a canceled order with no delivery is unacceptable and reflects poor customer service and bad business practices. Gary is the man! We visited the store during a Memorial Day weekend because we were in the market for furniture for our new house. The place is full of mid-priced items for every furniture need. Gary greeted us and helped us browse, shop, ponder, compare and walk around and around for the hour and a half we were there. He was patient, informative, helpful and didn't pressure us at all. The selection was great with reasonable prices. We chose a 5 piece sectional and paid a very fair price. I went into the store looking for a recliner. Right when I stepped in, several associates asked if I needed assistance. I initially said no, I'm just browsing. The eagerness of the associates didn't bother me. When I found a recliner that sparked my interest, I went back to the associate that first spoke to me. The chair was priced at $349 and he checked to see if it was in stock. He said they can have it delivered within 3-4 business days. I didn't buy it because there were a few other shops that I wanted to check out. Well I returned several days later. Right before walking back in I checked online for the price of the recliner, it was $379. I waited to speak to the same salesperson. Oddly, the recliner did not have a price tag on it like before. The associate said that the recliner is $500. I asked him if he was sure about the price and I'll wait for him to look it up, he said yes the price is $500. I told him the online price is $379 which should also be the in-store price. Then I thanked him for his time and left. I do not like being hornswoggled. Call me paranoid. Can I give zero stars? Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life!! I don't often write yelp reviews but this one absolutely needs to be heard! I placed an order for a four piece living room set on November 28 with an estimated delivery date of February 5. I received a call on December 29 telling me that one of the pieces of the set was discontinued and they would not be able to deliver it. I asked if they could please find a floor model and get back to me, no one got back to me. On January 2, I went into the store and went round and round with the employee therefore about 20 to 30 minutes, only to find out that my entire four piece that was discontinued and no furniture was going to be delivered to me. At that point I asked for a full refund immediately. That process then took another 20 minutes, having to call their corporate refund department and then they had me get on the phone with the person who then started telling me that I was going to be getting two credits for a total that was more than I paid. I let her know that all I needed back was the amount that I paid but if they wanted to give me back more money that was fine. I received only one of the two credits which was only a partial credit and therefore had to go back into the store a few days later. When I went in and told them I would like my $145.45 that was owed to me back right away the manager again got on the phone with someone who then looked up the account and told him that that amount was credited to me back on December 17 however I did not receive any notification of any sort of refund or any communication around the time of December 17. I would highly suggest that no one give their hard earned money to this awful company who are a bunch of crooks! Take peoples money and sit on it only to tell them their product has been discontinued. I didn't even get an apology! read more

My last bad review seemed to have sprung Ashely into action so let's try this again since they still owe me over $3000! Last week, Ashley brought our new bed and took the old one. The next day they called and asked if the new one was taken because they weren't notified that it was at the warehouse. Luckily they got sorted out but it's just an example of how unprofessional this company is. I was told my refund should go through soon. It hasn't and they said there was no number to call to check on this. Danny, the manager, is ignoring my husband and my calls to him. I bought a mattress at this store in 2021. The mattress, after 3 years, is completely broken down. They sent a service tech out to confirm it was broken down. We were told the store would give us a credit but we have been fighting for that credit for about 6 months. There is nothing in the system and we keep getting the run around. I understand it has been 3 years but the warranty has not expired. I have bought a lot of furniture there. I purchased a bed on 12-13-25 from Folsom Ashley Furniture store salesman Rich. While the sales experience was pleasant, the delivery was on time, and the assembly was efficient and professional within an hour after the white glove guys left the bed started to smell. The smell is heavy VOCs gassing off making breathing difficult and causing wicked headaches. I looked into this phenomenon online and seems Ashley Furniture has a bit of a reputation for this and they very reluctantly take some ownership of the issue. I was told I could not get a refund, but I could get store credit. Why would I choose another bed from Ashley and potentially have the same issue? I want my money back. I was also told to place the bed outside for a couple of weeks. Aside from rain, I should not have to do anything with a brand new bed except sleep in it. Or, Salesman Rich at Folsom should disclose that new beds are unusable due to formaldehyde that needs to safely gas off for a couple weeks. I would've turned on my heel and walked out. read more

I got a 25% off coupon from a salesperson after buying some furniture, it was written out on the back of his Ashleys business card and I took him at his word that it would work, I thought that was a nice gesture at the time. I come back a few months later and was told that salesman no longer worked there so I couldn't get a discount. They eventually gave me a much smaller discount when I complained that they should honor the discount given, but fine, I'll buy the mattress and take the smaller discount. It turns out the salesman then added a $500 delivery fee for the mattress without telling me, presumably to make up for the discount he gave. Then lied about it afterword. They definitely are guilty of deceptive practices and should be looked into. read more

I was told that I'd have a worry free purchase and to take advantage of the sale ending in a few hours. If I change my mind, I'd get a refund on my purchase as long as I cancel before delivery. So I did just that. I made a purchase January 17. On January 18, took measurements and decided it wasn't right. So the manager called and asked if he can have the sales associate call me to find me the right one. She said there wasn't one that she can find that I was looking for. So a process for a refund was started. Till this day, and after a few calls and inquires, I still have NOT received my refund. I kept getting told that it will come next week, or the week after. WTF? To preface: At a fundraising event, I bid on Ashley furniture gift cards totaling almost $1000, and signed by regional directors stating 'no exclusions.' In June 2019, I bought my first home. We needed a LOT of furniture. So I went to Ashley knowing I had the cards. When it came time to pay, the saleswoman told me I could not use a gift card when the furniture was already on sale (one of their regular storewide sales). I could have pushed the 'no exclusions' print on the cards, but I had an appointment to get to and figured I needed more furniture later anyway. I bought over $5000 worth of furniture that day. Fast forward to this past August, I am renovating an office and again was in need of furniture. I selected a sofa, small bar set, and one pillow. He negotiated a good price with me, we select a shipping date (of October...) and it comes time to pay. The moment he saw I planned to pay with gift cards, he was no longer cordial. His words to me, "I don't know who gave you those cards but they are lying to you." At this point I asked to speak with someone who had been there longer and may know the people who signed my cards. I'm then aquatinted with a new salesperson who was much nicer. He recognized all three signatures, and understood the purpose of these cards. He wasn't able to get ahold of anyone at the main office to process my special case sale, so he asked if he could call me after he heard back. Sure. I love him my contact info. Three days pass, and no word. I call on Monday morning, no answer (are they really that busy on a Monday morning?) So at lunch I drive down there, they're not busy. The salesperson still has not been able to get ahold of corporate and asks me to come in that Labor Day weekend and he could help me by then. I return Labor Day weekend. I order my furniture and am given a confirmation number. He repeats the three items to me: sofa, bar set, pillow. Will be delivered 10/13. I get a confirmation text on 10/12. My time slot is 11:45-3:45 for a sofa and bar set. Pillow is not mentioned. I call the office to notify them. They tell me it's up to me to contact the store. Furniture arrives an hour and a half outside of the stated window. Everything is unloaded, assembled, and placed in the room. The bar table and one stool is damaged. Bar table installed unevenly. Pillow definitely missing. I went in to the store 3 times for this. There were numerous other calls, placing on holds, not reaching anyone in the middle of all of these events, I can't list them all. There are many issues with this company, from sales reps, to reception desk, to delivery times, delivery execution, etc. I won't go here again, and actively suggest you do the same. read more

Listen to all the low reviews. DO NOT SHOP HERE. We bought a bed a year ago and paid extra for them to assemble it. The person assembling it broke our headboard while assembling. Ashley furniture said it would take two months to send a technician to see if they would replace it. The technician eventually came out and said entire pieces were missing. The bed snapped in the middle because of those missing parts. They said a replacement would be sent. Since then (a year ago) we have had to email, call and use the chat on the website to ask where this replacement is. We bought a $500 bed from them that we have not been able to use. And, they do not care. They refuse to process a refund and continue over and over again to say they'll send a replacement. Worst business ever. Better off buying furniture from target or Walmart.
