We had a great experience at this store. We were greeted when we walked in and although they didn't have what we needed in time, Mia Durham helped us find it at their Outlet in Hixson. We needed a sleeper sofa for the next day so she called the outlet and got us a great sofa for a great price. That's great customer service right there! She went out of her way to help us and we absolutely appreciate it. Especially considering that we are new to town, we won't forget this shopping experience and we will be back when we need anything new for the house in the future. read more

I had a queen size bed delivered and set up yesterday by Ashley home store. I was contacted and told of my delivery date and on that day, I was later called and informed of the approximate arrival time. Brian and Rocco were the 2 men that delivered and installed the bed right on time. They talked with me first, then installed my bed. They were very polite and congenial. They were also very respectful of protecting my walls, floors, rug, etc. Also very polite to my golden retrievers...lol. Job well done!!! read more

Ashley doesn't care about customer service once they have your money. Problems with delivery driver who changed delivery times twice; the final time switch gave us only 30-minute notice to rush home from work in another county. He refused to come later, even though that was HIS original suggested time. Then he refused to haul off our old mattress even though Ashley sales person assured us it was part of the service we paid for. When I called to complain, a disinterested associate told me Ashley didn't control what delivery drivers do. So what was I paying Ashley for then? She also explained that the original sales person SHOULD have given us plastic wrap for our old mattress but failed to do so. When I agreed to do this now, she said she would call back and let me know. Never heard from her again. There are plenty of other places to buy furniture in town, places that care about customers and actually do what they promise. read more

Bought an Ashley Furniture loveseat in September - had it one month and it broke. Store where I purchased it has gone out of business. Ashley Furniture Consumer Affairs has not done much to rectify the situation. Stansell Furniture (who has gone out of business) is going to take care of it. Kudos to them!! Wish they were staying in business. For over a month, consumer affairs just gave us the run around and would do nothing to fix it or replace it. Will NEVER buy anything from Ashley again!!! We purchased 2 leather sofas, 1 recliner, a coffee table & rug in June 2015. This has been the WORST furniture buying experience I have ever had!! It took almost 3 months & many, many phone calls on my part to even get my 2nd sofa & coffee table. I still do not have the recliner, and at this point have cancelled the order & requested a refund for the cost of the chair. The salesperson(I won't name) and the manager will tell you all kinds of excuses and reasons why the furniture isn't delivered, and will promise you they WILL call you back after checking on what the hold up is...they won't!! I spoke to just about everyone connected to this but NEVER received a phone call from Darrell the manager! He told me twice he would look into the problem and call me back...never happened. The saleslady finally called me after she heard I was canceling the order for the recliner, only to try and persuade me to accept a "floor" model chair..REALLY??? I was told the store would compensate us for all the problems...hasn't happened! After you give them your money they could care less! I will NEVER shop or purchase furniture from this store again!! read more

I will never buy furniture from here again. I went in and bought a living room set, for WAY over priced for the crappy shape the furniture was in. Luckily, it didn't fit in my place and was damaged in the move. After going back several times to buy a new couch, they were rude, not helpful, and didn't seem to care that I had issues with them. They thought they were better than me and I was the customer. The only nice people were the movers who brought the furniture to my place. I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO ASHLEY AGAIN. The people who work there are rude and arrogant. They do not understand that they are there to serve the customer with humility. I'm shocked they are still able to employee people there with how crappy their staff is. read more

WOW!! So glad I am reading these comments. I went to Ashley the other day, 1st time in. Found a beautiful sofa I really wanted along with some chairs. My daughter in law and I were deciding which ones we liked the best and couldnt get away from the salesperson. It didnt matter how many times I said I would let her know if I needed help, every time I turned the corner she was there. We couldnt even sit down and decide whether we liked the feel or anything. She was like a ninja appearing from nowhere. I was told about all the ways they could finance me and all the discounts I could have but what a turnoff to have the salesperson literally up my butt. We went to three furniture stores in town before finding the accent chair we were seeking at Ashley Home store. A salesman was in training so we had two with us at all times. Harry made several recommendations on chairs. It seems we picked one of the most popular chairs so it won't be available for a month which was a disappointment. We will be purchasing two sofas before long and this will be one store that we will check before deciding. They do have a large selection to chose from. read more

I like the home furnishing that Ashley carries, but I avoid the store because of the sales people. They WILL NOT leave you alone. We shopped for mattresses and had a set in mind, but we couldn't even get a couple of minutes to talk amongst ourselves. Every time I've been in this store, just to look, I am followed the entire time. It totally spoils the shopping experience. We absolutely chose NOT to get a mattress here because of the leech sales people. We went to a competitor and bought the same day. Customers want to be able to breathe. I do NOT want to be asked questions. I want to be left alone..AND if I have questions, I prefer to come find you. Give me your card when I walk in the door, and then leave me alone. You are losing business because of your staff. They must be trained that way, because they are all like this at this store. read more

I would not recommend purchasing anything from Ashley Furniture. I have purchased well over $15,000 worth of furniture from them for business and personal use in the last 6 years. All of the furniture was either for personal or commercial use. The furniture I purchased for my business use fell apart (backs breaking off bar stools to the back of the couch corner breaking off). I called for repair under the extended warranty and was informed the extended warranty did not cover commercial use. However, I specifically asked the question to the sales rep who said it was covered regardless if the furniture was purchased for commercial use. I purchased the extended warranty in good faith based in the information from the sales rep. Once I was informed it was not covered due to commercial use, I asked the extended warranty company for a refund. I was referred to the store, the store said a check would be mailed. Three years later and dozens calls no refund... I finally gave up! I purchased bedroom and living room furniture at the same time. The living room furniture had had several repairs due to motor failure in the recliners on top of months being on BO before delivery. The furniture now can not be repaired after 6 months (August - January) of waiting to see what would happen and calling for information. The extended warranty company agreed to replace for the cost of original set or a prorated refund. We agreed to replacement, picked out new set and paid the addition fees. It is now over 6 weeks, 5 sofa's later and still no sofa. Every leather sofa so far has been damaged (ripped) somewhere on the piece. Leather should not be that easy to damage, so now I am assuming the sales rep misrepresented the $2k piece of furniture and it's actually a man made pleather instead of the leather I asked for. They have been dishonest before to make a sale, why not now. If you want good quality furniture that is delivered without damage and during a reasonable timeframe, don't shop at Ashley Furniture. So disappointed in Ashley Furniture! My family hasn't been able to sit together in the family room for over 6 weeks! Now the fun part of multitude of phone calls to see if anyone can correct this issue since the sales rep and store manger have not been able to resolve the issue so far! Update 7 hours later from corporate response : I sent my contact information 7 hours ago and still no one from corporate has called me. They could care less about customer satisfaction! Buyers beware and don't purchase anything you can't carry out of the store yourself! read more

I am so highly upset!!! I bought a new living room suite from Ashley Furniture on Gunbarrel Road in Chattanooga on August 24th. and they were going to try to deliver it on September 1st., and if not, my delivery date was for September 7th. Well, I realized that it was a holiday, so I called Friday and asked if they were still delivering my furniture on the 7th since it was a holiday. I was asked to give them my phone number and the lady confirmed that my furniture would be delivered and someone from the warehouse would contact me to give me a time window for my delivery. Well, needless to say, I called and was told that they could not do my delivery and they were not delivering today. I was told that my sales person would call me back when she found out what was going on at the warehouse and when I did not get a call back, I called and asked to speak to a manager. Then, I was given a new delivery date for the 15th and told that my furniture was not even delivered from their warehouse yet!!! The manager then proceeded to lie and say that someone spoke to my husband and told him that they would not be able to deliver my furniture until the 15th. I knew that this did not happen and told her so. I then walked to the other room and asked him and he said absolutely not!!! I can't believe that someone would stoop so low as to lie to cover up their mistake!!! I said all of that to say this...I spent my holiday weekend moving furniture out of my living room and getting all excited about my new furniture. To make matters worse, I could have worked today and got paid double time, not to mention spending time with my family. Even worse, when I told them I wanted my money refunded and I would go to the Ashley Furniture store in Knoxville and get my furniture (they have the same one in stock and would have delivered it to me in 2 days), they told me I would have to go through the corporate office to get reimbursed, and it would take three weeks for me to get my money and then I would have to pay a 10% restocking fee!!! I did not ask them to wait on their money (almost $3,5000.00) and I should not have to wait on mine!!! I then proceeded to ask her about the advertising they have for the Labor Day weekend for next day delivery (when they have been waiting two weeks already on mine) and she said that was only on certain items. This is so frustrating!!! It has been a LONG time since I have been this upset and I would not recommend this store to anyone!!! They want to sell you the furniture, do not meet the delivery date. I hope the corporate office reads this!!! read more
