How was this spot not on my radar? Everyone knows I love a discount, and this store does not disappoint! This is a gigantic discount store full of home goods and home improvement parts. I fell in love with this spot before walking into the store. At the entrance of the store they had a hanging chair and stand for $188. The same chair is at Pier One imports for $299. That's over $100 savings. Other great finds included a wooden rope swing for $99 bucks. The swing was made of amazing quality. There was also a bar shaped like the front of a car. There are so many treasures inside this store. It's a designers dream. They have everything from decor to tile, flooring, rugs, artwork. If you are looking for unique home decor at a discounted price, it's worth taking a trip to visit this store!! Another bonus:they have free popcorn and drinks for customers! This place specializes in bulk buy, close out of anything. You never know what they will have month to month. Furniture, mirrors, rugs, doors, shelving, cabinets, bathroom and even outside gardening and landscaping can be found here. I found great deals on landscaping rocks here Vs Lowes and bathroom fixtures. The selections come and go and rarely to they get the same thing back once it sells out. Big warehouse full of interesting home decor. I've been going to SS since I was little and honestly don't think it's changed much. The selection is really good on some items, but it's the same old stuff that I saw last year again this year. Prices can be good, depending on what you're looking for. My low star rating is due to one of the cashiers. One of the cashiers in the Chattanooga, TN store obviously HATES her job and the people she works with, as well as the customers. The name at the top of my receipt is Sheena B. from my last visit on Jan. 26, 2023. She was visibly irritated that I didn't have "ticket" for some tile that I had in my cart. She asked me if the guy was back there, and I told her yes, but he was helping someone else plus, I didn't know I needed a ticket. She acted like I couldn't pay for my 2 boxes of tile without a ticket until another employee (male) saw and heard her little fit. He came over and started reading off numbers on the box but she didn't seem interested in trying to help. A female employee came over then and acted like it wasn't a big problem at all to enter the numbers from the box. This isn't the first time I've had issues with her...the first time was about a year ago when what she thought was the wrong price tag had been affixed to a mirror I was purchasing. Her tone suggested that I had changed the sticker! I vowed on that day to never step foot in the store again after her rude behavior, but I tried to give it another shot on the 26th. Another fail! BTW, the boxes of tile were very heavy and she never once asked me if I needed any help getting them in my car - I would have appreciated the help since I am a disabled female veteran! read more

Kind of a hard place to describe but with how much of my money they now have you would think I could come up with something. Think - a really cool Pier 1 store crossed with something else. We have bought rugs, hand built furniture and lots of decor pieces. LOVE this store and I have to find a way to keep my wife distracted as we drive by. Good place to come if you're looking to add some interest and uncommon objects to your abode. They also have free popcorn and lemonade so there's that. :D It has kind of a flea market vibe, and to be honest I have a feeling that a lot of the imported goods are kind of the cheapy, not so great quality kind, but it's an experience nonetheless, and by no means is everything you come across here bad quality. Went for a first visit couple of weeks ago. Didn't really know what to expect but for anyone looking for some unique furniture and accessories for your residence, come see what they have. It's quite an eclectic collection of items. Need monogramming done? They can do it! One tip. The building is not air conditioned and has a lot of big fans moving the air. Combine the international bazaar vibe of World Market with the massive warehouse full of cheap stuff vibe of At Home (formerly Garden Ridge), and you have Southeastern Salvage. From a distance, I was intrigued by a lot of items, but close up, realized how low the quality was. My favorite section of the store was lighting. They had some really unique offerings, but unfortunately, not anything that I was looking for at the moment. read more

I love this place. I bought laminate flooring here. It was in perfect condition. No flaws. I bought extra in case there was flaws but ended up having enough to do another room. I bought a carpet here very inexpensive and everyone loves it. We're going back today to pickup flooring for my sons house! read more

Purchased a small second home in Chattanooga TN - Live in Charlottesville, VA - approx 8 hours away. Made appointment to design kitchen cabinets. Kitchen designer was a younger guy, great personality, and he spent more than an hour with us designing, looking at samples and choosing cabinets. We were told cabinets would be in within 2 weeks. We prepaid in full (as they required). We left pleased with the choice and process. In two weeks we called and were told the cabinets were not in yet but to check back. In one week we called (on a Saturday), female in cabinetry center asked if she could call me back that she did not see out cabinet order in the computer but they may be in the back. She advised she would go search. Within 1 hour, she called back and said she could not locate the cabinets and for me to please call back the following week. The next week we decided to drive to Chattanooga and find out what was going on with the cabinets as we felt we were getting the runaround. We arrive at Southeastern Salvage, went to cabinetry section, provided our name and inquired about update on the order we place a month before. A female there looked up our name in the computer then asked "Oh did no one call you?" We stated we have called them three times over the past month and have been repeatedly told the cabinets are not in yet. she stated she needed to get the manager. The manager came to cabinetry - we told him the story - and said he would go look in the back to see if the cabinets were there but just not updated in the computer. He went to the back for about 20 minutes. He returned and said he was really sorry but that our order not only was not there but would not ever be there. He said the cabinet company they worked with went out of business. He said we should never have been sold the cabinets in the first place because they have been having trouble with the cabinets coming in damaged, wrong orders, and substandard workmanship. We said that we understand these things happen, but during the past three weeks could someone not have called us to let us know this? Especially since they should not have even Sold us the cabinets to begin with? And we prepaid for the order? The manager said he was sorry they dropped the ball but that they would be able to give us our full amount back ... Really? How Kind!! He then said we could check back the next few weeks that they hoped to have a new cabinet supplier lined up .... we couldn't help but chuckle just a bit that we would even consider ordering something from them when they clearly were not following up with customers . Oh Ok - let me drive back and forth 8 hours ... no thank you. We checked with friends in the area for another business they recommended and we found A1 Surplus in Rossville, GA - We made appointment with them two days later, went in for the design and were surprised to hear that this cabinet company had NOT gone out of business. hmmmm....... We ordered our cabinets, paid half up front - It has been two weeks and guess what? The cabinets are here!!! We inspect them today and installation is tomorrow. My Advice is to STAY AWAY FROM CABINETRY SECTION AT SOUTHEASTERN SALVAGE! read more

We went in and paid for an order to be picked up later that day by a friend because we needed to borrow a truck. Our friend picked up the order but they left off one of the items we ordered. since we don't live near there, we called to see if they would refund the money for the left off item via the phone. They refused and said it was illegal to do so (not true). and refused to deliver. essentially content to keep our money without giving us a product. they said if we're ever in the area we can come in the store to get our money back. no compensation or apologies or desire to make it easy on us at all read more
