Nice selection of lamps.

LOTS TO SEE This is that store that you are always drawn to even if you purchase nothing. I love the international flavor, the selection of home decor items and just the overall uniqueness of the store. You just never know what you will find. Today, I was surprised by the day beds and sofas that they had on display. I haven't noticed these large furniture pieces before but usually just see the smaller items available. There have lots of colorful items to enhance your home, (glassware, pillows, throws etc). If you are in the process of refreshing you color scheme for summer, this is a good place to search for options. No matter what, I am inevitably drawn to the food aisle in this store because I love to look at all of the interesting treats and sometimes I am tempted to purchase them. Today I was surprised to find good old corn nuts being sold for $5, when you can get the same size at the Dollar store for $!. You must be careful of their pricing because significant mar ups are required on all items. I understand costs associated with importing but not costs that seem to be just random. Shop carefully and be sure to make an informed choice with your purchases. .

I needed to replace our teak draw leaf table and have been on the lookout for years. Recently, I…read morediscovered FurnishMeVintage through a vintage furniture website. They had just the table and the price was so reasonable! My two concerns were would it really be in the excellent condition listed (I only saw the table online) and shipped with care? Well done on both counts! The table is much nicer than the original - the grain of the top and leaves match beautifully and it's in great shape. The shipper wrapped it carefully in shipping blankets covered with bubble wrap - very thankful for that, as it was a wet day when it arrived. Wonderful service! I would purchase furniture from FurnishMeVintage again without hesitation.

OK, I had dealings with this place when they were in Florida but recently I was shopping their…read moreChattanooga showroom online. I didn't see anything so I just decided well. I'm gonna scroll through the archives because they do maintain an archive of past sales which really only benefits them because they're not letting anybody know what they actually sold the items for. So the archive is useless for valuation purposes. But I find a Broyhill Emphasis piece. Al line that's one of our personal favorites , and it has rather lengthy description accompanying it, explaining that "Emphasis" was inspired by Egyptian obelisks. Which is total malarkey!! Really if you look at Broyhill's original brochures for Emphasis ( see photo ) they talk about the process of veneering being invented in Egypt, but they say nothing about design inspiration coming from Egypt. So if you have a company that's so casually going to lie about the small stuff what whoppers are they telling you about the big stuff? I wouldn't trust them. I bought another piece from them when they were in their Florida store and had to have it shipped only to find out that their restoration included a wood putty filled missing veneer spot that they didn't bother patching the veneer on. It cost me $200 to have the piece properly repaired. It was a $500 piece. And that was maybe about two years after they first opened in 2010. Jackie the owner is what the other one star reviewers say she is. Yes she's terribly condescending and she's rude. The review mentioning how she offered to reimburse a customer for their trouble and then told them two weeks later it wasn't gonna happen is dead on to that woman's personality. She tells them what they need to hear to get them off her back. Stay away from the shop online and certainly don't bother going to Chattanooga to see them in person.
