Thank Goodness I purchased the extended warranty, because 2 days after I received my order , one of the sofas had a defect. I felt delivery charge was excessive so my grandson picked up my "Ashley Exclusive" dining set but I only received 4 chairs and a bench NO TABLE. It took over 4 hours to put the chairs together because the proper tools were not included. I have been texting about my missing table but keep nothing yet (except the run around). Ashley won't deliver the furniture!! They sold me discontinued items and then didn't deliver them, scratched the delivered furniture and refuse to return one of two leather swivel accent chairs they can't deliver, so, I have one accent chair and reimbursed for one chair. What am I supposed to do with one accent chair that doesn't match anything? The delivery men unpacked and set up the chair with the bottom ripped out. I only give them one star, because zero stars was not an option. The sales people at the store were great, very kind very friendly however, the people that assemble their furniture have a lot to be desired. I was sitting at our dining room table and noticed that it didn't feel right, like the chair was gonna fall apart. So I flipped the chair upside down and noticed all the screws were only tight on all the chairs in total. We spent a lot of money at that store and it's not like it was a $500 dining room said it was extremely expensive two weeks after we got the dining room table and had a massive crack in itas the wood settled. They were kind enough to replace the table by people the proper tools to put the stuff together or send me a check for having to redo it everything. read more

One star is as low as I can rate, so I rated one star. They are decidedly more concerned with the sale than customer satisfaction. Good salespeople and store managememt would concern themselves with whether a 4' 8" woman who walks with a cane could actually get on a bed and frame combination; however, these folks actually said when asked directly that there would be no problem. Displays in the store make everything look accessible, so it would be responsible to advise customers. You may say 'buyer beware', but the fact is we go to professionals for advice since they are highly familiar with all the products. I have learned a hard lesson. Learn from me instead of them. I have learned that this company as a whole has a significant group of dissatisfied customers. My daughter may soon become one as she is dealing with Ashley folks in Atlanta now. The company flatly refuses to help in an exchange in any way. We foolishly thought we could report to our friendly sales team about our problem, but we should have immediately rejected delivery. They pretty much said once an order is in the house it is unreturnable. They hide behind printed policies, but that does not lead to repeat customers. It took them over six months to fix and then guess what ??!! the leg on one of the chairs just plum broke off .... took forever, but we were able to get a hold of someone somehow after an hour of calling and being transferred. This is the absolute worst customer service and quality of furniture I've ever received. We have spent 6.5 months dealing with poor quality pieces. We bought 10 pieces and 9 have been broken or damaged. We have been given the run around for months now from this CHATTANOOGA store. I can't get a single person locally to call me back and help us work this out. NEVER buy from this store.I have multiple pics/emails of all the damaged pieces. We have had 12 unsuccessful deliveries. We have sent over 15 emails with no resolution and spent over 5 hrs on the phone with mainly the 800 number since local management will not speak with us. Apparently deceiving the customer is commonplace. According to online there is a 30 day return policy. Wrong. There is a NO RETURNS policy. Bought a sofa, didn't get what we were told. Too bad. It may seem harsh to give a one star review but I am so furious with this company. I went in and after trying at least 30 mattresses I settled on one particular queen mattress and box spring. I bought furniture last year from them and everything went smoothly. Love my furniture and Brian the manager was on his "A" game and very nice. This time he happened to help me again and not sure if he was having an off day or what but definitely didn't have the same attitude as the last time. After going back and forth on the mattresses he started the order only to find out after all that was said and done the mattresses in queen size wouldn't be in for three months. WHATTTT??? Then he asked if I wanted a king instead of a queen and I thought ok sure. Again went through everything to find out that there was a three month wait also. Well I needed a bed so I decided I guess I'll wait for the queen. A few days later after I paid for everything Brian texts me and says my mattresses will be in and the delivery people will call me to set up an appt for delivery. GREAT! Im excited. I don't have to wait three months. Ashley delivery texts me to see when I'm available for delivery. I want to set up a time but after texting them over and over again I realize I'm talking to a bot. They automatically set up a time. Im working those hours and want to set it up for another time. They don't work like that. This went on three more times. Finally on the fourth time amid my frustration my boss says go ahead and take the day off. I didn't want to do that but they kept scheduling the delivery a time that I work. Im trying my best to talk to someone. Anyone! I call the store and another gentleman answers. I don't remember his name but if rude was a name of a man he would be it. Absolutely horrible customer service. He tells me he doesn't have a phone number for the warehouse and I cannot speak to a person about it. That's some BS right there. Finally after telling him how pissed off I was a lady from the call center calls me. (Guess they have a phone after all). She sets up a day that I could take off. Finally I thought I would get my mattresses. I got a text in the morning that I was number 12 on the list but that they should be there about 1:30 PM. I kept getting text after text after text telling me they're on their way, I am next, then a text that they had to go back to the warehouse to get another order. Then they text me again and again and again telling me they're on their way and then again they had to go back to the warehouse. Finally at 5 PM they get there. The time they gave me was from 10:45 to 2:45 PM. I work 9-3 PM and that is why I took the day off. I didn't even need to take the day off. So the two guys come up they tell me they have to put together my boxspring, and they go down and do that. In the meantime, they took my mattresses and put them in the truck. They bring my box spring up, put it in my room and proceeded to tell me they don't have my top mattress. They say a mattress in the truck has my name on it but underneath my name is somebody else's name. They apologized profusely and call their boss who tells them they can bring my mattress the next day because it's back at the warehouse. I asked them if they were sure because now I have to sleep on the couch which is not good on my back , thus why I needed these mattresses. Yes they were sure and they were so sorry blah blah blah. Well, the next day I start getting text messages asking me when I want my mattress delivered starting with the following week. Again, I tried to call somebody, talk to anybody about this and nothing. I had to set up another day and time for it to be delivered and it's supposed to come this Wednesday. I have to work and I am not taking the day off so let's see if it comes after I get off work. They will not give me a time until right before they come. I'll have been sleeping on an uncomfortable couch for a week. All text messages are from robots and unless you answer YES or NO they will not respond. Twice they told me somebody was going to text me regarding the situation. When they did text me and say this is so-and-so, how may I help you? I started to tell them the situation, and they never did respond. I would not buy from this company ever again. If you find furniture here that you must have, DO NOT, BY ALL THAT IS HOLY, have them deliver. Take it home in your own vehicle. They use a third party for delivery and while the actual delivery was fine, they tried to deliver to our previous address AFTER my wife had been very clear to the salesperson that our address had changed. We were assured that it would be updated. It was not - and after the botched delivery, FOR WHICH YOU HAVE TO BE AVAILABLE FOR A THREE HOUR WINDOW, my wife spent the better part of a week trying and failing to get the address corrected. This was a problem not with the delivery service, but with Ashley itself. Negligent, incompetent, and customer averse. Update: you can see that someone with Ashley responded a couple of days after I posted my review and asked that I contact them at provided text and email links. My wife did so over a week ago with no response thus far. Not a good look for Ashley. Update 2: The response we finally got was a recorded message, essentially saying "we're sorry for your experience, we're experiencing delays in shipping, we're working to fix the problem, etc." Not actually addressing our experience. Was told when I ordered the furniture I could return it if I didn't like it because they didn't have the complete bed in stock. When the bedroom set arrived 3 hours ago I realized after I looked at it to move it etc that the quality is very poor! I called the store to initiate a refund to which I was told by the rude customer service person I was screwed basically because they don't do refunds! What kind of place doesn't offer refunds? I will never do business with them again! And I reported them to the bbb on principal of being lied to! Never again Update: after all the aggravation I gave the furniture away. I spent hours on the phone trying to get this resolved and after being so busy I realized the 3000$ furniture wasn't worth the hassle. I've never actually written a yelp review, and don't plan to again, but this experience was so horrendous I honestly want to steer people away from here. We purchased some barstools for our new home, after measuring our counter height. They delivered them, and the barstools slid under the counter without any obvious issues. Shortly after the delivery truck left however, I noticed they were slightly too tall when sitting in due to the cushions to sit at the bar comfortably. At this point I contacted both my sales rep and customer service (note this was within 5 minutes of delivery). I was told by my sales rep at the store everything had to go through customer service, but once they put in an exchange request, they would be able to process the exchange for the lower barstool height. (Note-- I'm not trying to get my money back here, I'm just trying to exchange for the slightly lower barstool height, which is the same price). Here is where things get really obscene--- I spoke with multiple customer service reps over the phone who kept stating there was a strict "no return policy" after delivery and essentially telling me I was SOL. Eventually it was escalated and I talked to someone who agreed to put an exchange request to the store. He looked back through all the notes and assured me the request had been sent, and if approved I would be able to get the exchange. Great! I contacted the store then, but they said they still had no request. After waiting until the end of the week, I drove to the store in a last ditch effort and asked to speak with the manager. They looked through the account and all notes and confirmed to me that nothing had been sent. I then immediately called customer service again, got a very kind but seemingly stressed lady one the phone, who when I pressured for the exchange ticket number supposedly sent to the store, admitted that it was never actually created and sent. I was previously LIED TO over the phone by incompetent or lazy employees who didn't want to deal with the issue. When I contacted the store again via text message and told them this-- I was left on "read" and they never replied or did anything. So in essence, this terrible excuse for a business backstabbed a loyal customer who had previously ordered several pieces of furniture and always paid completely up front. I completely understand a no return policy after furniture is delivered, but I was simply trying to get the correct product that I could actually use, and did this within moments of delivery while the product was still new and untouched by myself. I was not trying to return and get my money back, simply exchange. Barstools are a product that are all slightly different, and they didn't even have the stools in store so I could physically look at them to ensure proper fit!!! I could only go off my measurements and the measurements they gave me of the stools online. Steer clear of this place! I've found a couple of other local furniture stores with kind and helpful service reps and employees that I'll be using to furnish the rest of our home. read more

This place isn't cheap, but their furniture looks great and the staff is very helpful albeit a little slow due to their subpar IT systems. Moving down I didn't want to spend a whole lot of money on new furniture, but their financing program no interest for 72 months, just hooked me in and I ended up spending alot more than what I'd planned. At the end I spent more, but got some great looking pieces for my place and definitely would come here next time for any other furniture. I purchased some furniture in store a month ago, the bed came in with the wrong size headboard (it happens sometimes). the issue is that when I tried to get the right size headboard I contacted them on 4 separate occasions and all I was sent was a bag of spare bolts and screws and instructions. Holy crap, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! I bought $12,000 worth of furniture, even bought the $900 warranty on all the furniture to make sure it would hold up. Within 10 months I had to call to get them to replace the cushions on the couch, because after just 10 months of ABSOLUTELY NORMAL USE, it looked like the couch had been sat on by elephants for 10 years. Then fast forward 1 year, something breaks, so they have to come repair something inside of the couch. Now, both couches look terrible and one of the couches broke AGAIN!!! After all, any couch I've ever bought lasts at least 8-20 years. And then it also says, "WE STRIVE FOR NOTHING LESS THAN EARNING THE TRUST AND THE LOYALTY OF OUR CUSTOMERS EVERYDAY, THIS IS THE CORNERSTONE OF OUR BUSINESS." Guys, it hasn't even been 3 years since i bought the couches, they are about to go to the trash because YOUR PRODUCT IS BAD, because these were so terribly made. I've spoken to 9 customer service reps for more than 5 hours now... and all they say is, "sorry you are outside of the 1 year manufacturers warranty we can give you the phone number to someone who can come fix it and you'll have to pay them." When i ask to speak to a supervisor so that i can explain that this is different than the "normal" circumstances and that they would normally say is the "customers fault", they just keep telling me that a manager will call me. 5 times now, with no phone call. Not one. Guys, i have a JCPenney couch downstairs that is 13 years old and still looks as good as the first day and it was $400... Not a nationwide store they tell me now...We went and purchased 2 bedroom suits and were told they had some people who would deliver. When it came down to it they didn't. I took off drove 115 miles up to Chattanooga and picked up all the furniture they said was mine. Got home and was shorted a headboard for my sons bed. They don't care at first they said it was my fault and acted like I was trying to steal it. I have called several times listened to the ads about being able to service you anywhere well when I call they cannot actually do that. We picked up the coffee table on the same day with the expectation that the end tables would be available for pickup in early September. September comes and goes with no word about our items. I call the store on November 10th, waited on hold for 30 minutes, then was told that the order had been moved to February 2022. This review is not because of the time of delivery, that is out of everyone's hands. The frustration comes from never being contacted about the date change. On delivery day the driver took out a power line I front of my house then told me they could no longer finish the delivery and would have to reschedule. While on the phone trying to reschedule they tell me they only have 2/3 pieces and it'll be nearly 2 months before I get the 3rd piece. Every time I talk to someone on the phone I get different answers or no answer at all. The whole process has been very frustrating and I'm hindsight not worth it. We searched for months for a new dining room table to fit the space in our new house so imagine our happiness when we found the perfect one at Ashley. Once purchased we found out it would be two weeks before the table would be delivered, not a big deal but not what we wanted to hear. They also told us they only refund 90% if we wanted to cancel which is crazy. Flash forward two weeks and the table and chairs were delivered on the day that we were told. The reason I'm giving it 1 star is because of what happened next. My husband was home from work and met the guys as they unloaded the table and chairs. I happened to be upstairs and glanced out the window to see a mover hammering, gluing and painting the table base and chairs before moving them off the truck. I finished what I was doing upstairs and came down to let my husband know what I saw, but the guys were gone. The furniture itself I cannot review. But this company has been very unprofessional. It's been over a month and we have not even received a date for a scheduled delivery. We have called and called and no one answers, we call corporate, the store, the rep... and nothing. We came to the store and the manager Jason Dupee told me it is not his fault that the phone doesn't ring. By the way this is the Chattanooga, TN store. I would recommend shipping somewhere else, there is no level of professionalism in this place and it's all blamed on COVID. I spent a lot of money and should not be treated with disrespect. read more
