I am about to cancel my order. I was told by the sale rep who sold us our furniture that we should be getting our order delivered by 6/2, purchase made on 5/28/22. She lied and I know it was only to get us to make the purchase cause had we known we weren't going to be getting our furniture until august, we would have never step foot into that store. Every time I call they give me a new date. Mind you, we moved out of state and have no bedroom furniture or storage. We are living literally out of boxes. Can't seem to get their stuff straight and now it's just ticking me off. Please DO NOT get your furniture here. If I find a store that will give me my furniture right away, then you best bet, I'll be cancelling this order asap. Extremely disappointed. Worst customer service ever. I have literally spent hours just trying to get in touch with them. They have delayed my delivery twice, and didn't even alert me the second time. When I try reaching out I am on hold for so long its unreal, and there is a different rep for every single question. They do not care at all about the customer and have no empathy or remorse for it. I will never do business with them again. Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else. I was on the phone 50 minutes today. Because the website cant find my order. Then told it was scheduled for delivery today, then transferred after I was placed on hold to get an exact time, then told it will be yet another month. No call, no email. This place should get zero stars. Here are the pros: Product and prices are decent and very good value. Salesmen are nice Cons: Salesmen will take your money without mentioning there is no chance of getting your furniture in the time they tell you. They know they have production issues and don't mention it. It took us four months to get our final product When the warehouse preps your delivery, if there is one piece missing the rest of your items get allocated to other people, you get rescheduled, and hope it works out better the next time. The warehouse will give dates to the salesmen with no other details. So the salesmen are nice but have no control but will lie to you that they do. We had multiple deliveries scheduled and confirmed and then canceled day of delivery. One time they didn't bother to notify of the cancellation. If they have in store what you want buy it. If you don't need something for 3 to 6 months knock yourself out. If you need something soon (like a normal person) and it has to be delivered go elsewhere. read more

This store has HORRIBLE customer service. We spent thousands of dollars on an entire king bedroom set and mattress. Unfortunately, we were terribly unhappy with our tempur pedic mattress purchase. We were allowed 1 "comfort exchange" and our salesman, Ian, pushed and pushed us to upgrade to the next style up. Against our better judgement, we purchased another tempur pedic and have been miserable ever since. The manager at the store said there was nothing he could do and gave me the number to corporate. I was told a delivery date and it was different than the one that actually happened. You pay a bunch of $$$ for a slow and inept delivery. The customer service number I called was laughable. I got some moron who couldn't think for themselves or speak proper English. The delivery was over 2 weeks and I won't buy anything again from them because the cost of delivery and the horrible experience. If I could give them negative stars I would. I understand that during this time some item are out of stock and it can take a long time for orders to arrive. For this reason my wife and I checked to make sure we ordered items the salesperson assured us were in the warehouse. We later found out the items were not in the warehouse and delivery dates started to slip, then we finally got a date of 14 December for 2 items, but no one showed and then 21 December, this time I got an automated call saying the items would be delivered between 11am and 2pm but no one showed and now they were supposed to deliver today, 28 December, by 9:30am and then 11am and now they are supposed to be here by 11:30am. I feel they have repeatedly lied to us and if the items are not here by 11:30am, I'm going to cancel the entire order. Ashley furniture has let me down...again. To be clear, the salesperson, Randy, was awesome. Took great care of us. I bought furniture in their store 2 and a half weeks ago. Delivery was supposed to be last Wednesday and they no showed. No call, no explanation except it didn't make it on the truck. The agent said they would reschedule for this coming up Wednesday, and today I receive a call that they overbooked and they need to reschedule. The first agent said they would refund the delivery charge, but manager overrode the decision on it. This time they said they would do it again. We will see. They say there system has no way of flagging problem deliveries. I say that is a lie. I could cancel the order but would have to pay a 10% restock fee. What a scam. They do not do what they say they are going to do. UPDATE!!! They just notified me that I will not be getting my furniture at all. They said i am out of their delivery area. So, the first few times they spoke with me, they knowingly lied. The person that communicated that I wouldn't be receiving it told me they knew all along. We recently ordered a sectional from the Ashley HomeStore on Gunbarrel Rd. and had a great experience. The store is very clean, professionally presented, and has a plethora of options. Randolph Eller was the gentleman who helped us with our purchase. As someone who has been in sales for my entire professional career, I can truly say that Randolph was a pleasure to deal with. We didn't buy on our first visit but when we had decided to purchase the sectional that Randolph had showed us, I gave him a call. He was quick to respond and made the buying process exceptionally efficient. I appreciated that he presented us with several different buying options without being pushy. He was genuinely helpful and gave us an honest deal. We are looking forward to having our furniture delivered and will definitely use Ashley for our future furnishing needs. read more

I was promptly greeted when I arrived. The salesman seemed to be new but had great customer service skills. he wasn't hovering while we looked around, but was there if you needed further information which I appreciated. The one thing I felt "meh" about was the final transaction. I guess he forgot to read back everything he put into the system. I would've liked to have seen a detail of what exactly was purchased. Things like item/ bundle prices, including discounts, before the total was given. Other than that, it was a good experience. (update) I had to call the store and ask a few questions regarding missing items. I spoke with a young lady who sounded like she did not want to do life. She didn't sound like she "cared" about anything, in general. I get it. I've been on customer service before. Plus its the holidays. However, it was not a nice experience. Do not order without asking how long it will take to get your furniture delivered & if they give you an approximate date, do not believe them, it will take forever to get it delivered! I ordered back in May 2021 and was not going to get it until May 2022. To top if off the manager at the store was he rudest person ever! My wife and I spent over 6 thousand at this store and I even brought in my parents to buy some new furniture, they spent 10 thousand. The customer service was decent but all they care about is the sale not what happens afterwards. We have been waiting months for our furniture to come in and so have my parents. They gave us a month for all of it to come in which is understandable because COVID but they keep canceling the delivery date and pushing it out weeks. Pieces of the furniture are coming in at a time which was not explained during the sale. We have called multiple times to try to get a reasoning and understanding but they blame the Ashley website making sales during the shutdown, they blame the warehouse, they blame everything... we even went into the store one afternoon and the dude at the counter didn't give a crap. It's honestly frustrating to spend that much money, get promised everything will come in at a specific date and then get cancelled on with no real explanation or expectation. I would hate for the people in my area to miss the information I shared and make the same mistake I made by shopping Ashley Homestore on Gunbarrel Road in Chattanooga, TN. In reply to Ashley's response to me in regards to sending (privately) my information. I was private when I purchased the furniture, also when I visited the store to ask for delivery, and again when I returned to the store and was told my chair (paid for and held for delivery) was sold and discontinued and "no" they would not return the matching loveseat because it had been delivered to the new home, which we have not yet moved into. This store has not one time reached out to us, not to alert us that the chair had been sold, and not to alert us that it had been discontinued, and as of today, 12.25, not one time. I will not drop this and I have begun other actions which you probably now know about or soon will. This is so dishonest, disrespectful, and inconsiderate to the people who are responsible for your success. I have always felt that the people who are hired to run and work a business are people who have the same characteristics of those at the top. Shame on you!! read more

After working in the service industry for over 10 years, I have never experienced such an extreme disappointment with a company. Purchased bedroom furniture on August 2. After delivery was scheduled 3 times, I finally received the majority of my pieces on August 27 which were damaged upon delivery. Keep in mind, I was assured every item would be available for delivery by August 18 and somehow they were missing pieces supposedly in-stock at the time of my purchase causing my delivery to be delayed and when I finally received the delivery they were still missing an item. I had to wait until September 16 to receive all my repair parts to schedule a technician visit. I should finally have a technician visit around September 28 (nearly 60 days after the purchase date). Maybe they will finally "Make it right!" seeing as how they are the sole hinge keeping me from making my new place feel like a home. Just in case you all think about calling the store for support, they will definitely give you the run-around technique and most-definitely do not ever expect a call back from the sales staff. On that note, do not expect a pleasing experience with the Guest Response Team either. The majority of them seem 100% lackluster in their customer service roles; which I am quite sure the company wants it this way. Received another call today with guest response trying to set a tech date. They never logged my first date so, it'll now be into October before my goods can be fixed. Funny thing: I purchased a secondary nightstand for my new set before I received the rest from the online store. The shipment arrived to my home through UPS and had nothing wrong with it. So, it seems like the company just does not have the logistic ability to handle customer goods with care. The entire process has definitely been a displeasing venture. I would STRONGLY advise customers to beware of shopping at Ashley. My experience with this store has been incredibly disappointing and frustrating. I spent $$$$ on 4 pieces, to be delivered to my office, and it has been a nightmare. I was told that the two rugs, love seat, and chair would arrive by September 20th ( my purchase was made Labor Day weekend). Nothing arrived on the 20th, and the one rug that was delivered by the sub-contracted delivery team, was delivered to the wrong office and wasn't discovered until a week later when I was notified by those specific tenants. The rug was the WRONG size and when I inquired with my salesperson about this issue, he told me the rug had been incorrectly marked and the store actually didn't even carry the rug I paid 500.00 for. I'm currently stuck with the rug as no one has returned to pick it up, and was told I would be refunded that 500.00, by this salesman, within 3-5 days of his supposedly having helped me. It's now been 5 days and the story has changed to the company needing to pick up the rug before I can receive the money back, but still, no one has made or is making any effort to pick up a rug I never ordered. As for the love seat, that is supposedly on back order and won't arrive in the promised time, which is problematic because I own my own business and will have clients but no place to sit. And as for the other 500.00 rug that I've paid for, that's no where to be found either. Stay FAR, FAR, FAR away from this store. I had better experiences with Sofa Mart or Restoration Hardware. My husband bought a chair at this Ashley Furniture store. They finally called to say it was in. My daughter picked it up and brought it over. Husband came home from work, sat in it and didn't like it. It wasn't what he was looking for. Uncomfortable. So two days later (on a Saturday because yeah, he works) he took it back. The manager was very rude and condescending and would not return it. He wanted my husband to exchange it or be stuck with it. Well after looking for an hour, my husband now is stuck with it! On 11/17 I placed an order with John Totten for a living room, dinning room, Master bedroom and beds for my daughters. I was out of the country and John assured me there wasn't any issues and everything would arrive in one week but two pieces. I explained we were moving back from over seas and needed these items and he told me to not worry he would handle all this himself! 7 days later and it was going to be 7 more days. I was called and told that John has left items off my order that I needed and I was required to pay more. 12/07 A few items arrived and some arrived damaged. But I was told they would be here by 12/14 12/14 arrived and it would be 7 more days. 12/21 I got a call that the living room sofa had prices on back order and it would take weeks. My girls beds weren't in and other items weren't as well. Basically nothing had changed. How do you not know prior to the day before delivery all items aren't in? I started speaking to Harry, who seems to be the only one i have dealt with that that isn't a liar, cheat, incompetent. John and General Manager Darrel surely are crooks. Harry managed to get my sofa piece delivered and one of my girls beds. 12/22 sofa comes and it is great. Finally something positive about this. My daughters bed arrives and the Lulu headboard bookcase doesn't have a back to it and ANOTHER piece is missing! Went and spoke to Harry, a great guy, showed him the texts and mess I had and he agreed that Ashely should do something for me but he wasn't able too, so he calls Darrel the General Manager who told me I could have the sale price and that's all. So now for Christmas one of my girls doesn't have a bed, no dresser for me and who knows when it will come! They failed so many times already why would I trust them now? I spend thousands there only to be cheated, lied to and strung along. I wanted to cancel the order and was told anything I had taken custody of they wouldn't take back! NOTHING has went right, no one as Ashley has owned the errors made in this order and transaction and it is excuse after excuse. Ashley customer service line is worthless as well, they refer you back to the store for help. Please, please don't buy here but if you have too, speak to Harry and not John "the incompetent liar" Totten or Darrel "I don't care about customers or customer service because I am a greedy leach" the general manager. But better to avoid the headaches. Again avoid John Totten and Darrel; they will cheat you and do you wrong. 12/26-notified that part of my order was now due to deliver in February! Stay as far away from this place as you can. Purchased a full home entertainment center, coffee table and two end tables back in October 2020. Was to be delivered by first of December. Then notified would be after Christmas. Went to the store, they were able to move the delivery up to December 23. They did make a delivery on the 23rd, minus one end table, the coffee was wrong, delivery person marked it as a manufacture defect and the entertainment center was missing parts. Only thing right was one end table. The delivery person took pictures of the coffee table (this comes up again later) and said they would reorder. He also ordered the missing parts for entertainment center and was advised the end table would be in first of January along with the correct coffee table and missing parts for entertainment center. First of January - advised items had shipped and were to be delivered. Only one thing delivered, it was the missing parts for the entertainment center. Nothing on the coffee table replacement or end table. It gets worse. Went to to store, they had the coffee table on their floor along with 2 end tables. Asked to just swap my defective coffee table for the one on their floor and let me have one of the two the end tables they had. Down hill from there. At first could not swap the coffee table, after a less that respectful discussion with the assistant manager, they agrees to swap, but I HAD TO LOAD THE DEFECTIVE TABLE ON MY TRUCK AND BRING BACK TO THEM AND TAKE BACK ON MY TRUCK THE CORRECT ONE. Even though I had paid for delivery and setup. Next - the lady in the back office looked up to see when the reordered coffee table would be in, come to find out, they had reordered another end table. So the coffee table paid for in October could be here by mid March. Looked up the end table that was still missing, expected delivery date was now late March to April. I asked why I could not just take one of the two end tables on their floor, get this, was advised by the Asst Manager "If he let me have that one, he would have no place to put the lamp"!!! Told him just to stick it in his office. Oh - everything is blamed on Covid. That does not fly, please read many of their reviews for late delivery, many are before Covid was an issue. Finally had enough and told them to just come pick it all up. Was advised, "it was in my house and my furniture". They have no clue as to what customer service is. As I walked out, did advise them I would get with American Express and dispute the charges. Did that and American Express reviewed the issues and immediately open a dispute and credited back to my card the full charges. American Express sent the dispute to Ashley Furniture, but closed it out about six weeks later after hearing NEVER HEARING from Ashley. Now - got a call vis voice mail last week from Ashley, wanted to know if I still wanted the coffee table, would be here in mid April and the end table, was now scheduled for May. He was calling to see if I still wanted it delivered, since I had disputed the charges. All this started in October 2020. I called their customer service toll free number, was advised by the young lady, she saw nothing about the issues, but did see where the coffee table and end table were to be deliver in April and May. After this I get an email from Ashley showing me a March 25th pick up date. They can't deliver furniture in seven months but they can pick it up with three weeks notice. They can come pick up all up. I am done. My best advice - don't do business with them. If you do, use your credit card that so you have options when they have failed multiple times on your delivery. We purchased a bed for our daughter from Ashley HomeStore in Chattanooga on December 19 and were given a delivery date of January 23. We are now on our fourth delivery date, with a new "estimated" delivery of February 27. Based on my experience with them so far, I have zero faith that they will come through and deliver the bed on the 27th. My wife has organized her work schedule around the dates they've given us. Meanwhile, they have all of our money and have told us that if we want to cancel the order, there will be a $100 cancelation fee. Three hours ago I was told to expect a call back from the sales manager within an hour. I'm still waiting. I've tried to be a reasonable here. But from the salespeople, to the managers, to the customer service representatives, everyone in this organization has made clear that they have no consideration for the people on the other end of the sale.
