Expensive but great quality furniture. We spent $1,000 on a chest of drawers and didn't wanna pay another $100 for delivery so we went and got it. Huge packaging but the box had holes in it. Nothing on the chest. Very heavy. Loved it!! read more

Ashley Store - Furniture Stores Near Me - Chattanooga, Tennessee

The furniture itself I cannot review. But this company has been very unprofessional. It's been over a month and we have not even received a date for a scheduled delivery. We have called and called and no one answers, we call corporate, the store, the rep... and nothing. We came to the store and the manager Jason Dupee told me it is not his fault that the phone doesn't ring. By the way this is the Chattanooga, TN store. I would recommend shipping somewhere else, there is no level of professionalism in this place and it's all blamed on COVID. I spent a lot of money and should not be treated with disrespect. read more

Worst customer service ever. I have literally spent hours just trying to get in touch with them. They have delayed my delivery twice, and didn't even alert me the second time. When I try reaching out I am on hold for so long its unreal, and there is a different rep for every single question. They do not care at all about the customer and have no empathy or remorse for it. I will never do business with them again. Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else. I was on the phone 50 minutes today. Because the website cant find my order. Then told it was scheduled for delivery today, then transferred after I was placed on hold to get an exact time, then told it will be yet another month. No call, no email. I have to be here for them to deliver so it would be real nice to know when that is. If I get my furniture by 2025 it will be a miracle. Complaint has been filed with the BBB. read more

I am about to cancel my order. I was told by the sale rep who sold us our furniture that we should be getting our order delivered by 6/2, purchase made on 5/28/22. She lied and I know it was only to get us to make the purchase cause had we known we weren't going to be getting our furniture until august, we would have never step foot into that store. Every time I call they give me a new date. Mind you, we moved out of state and have no bedroom furniture or storage. We are living literally out of boxes. Can't seem to get their stuff straight and now it's just ticking me off. Please DO NOT get your furniture here. If I find a store that will give me my furniture right away, then you best bet, I'll be cancelling this order asap. Extremely disappointed. Lack of transparency is what gives this store such terrible reviews. read more

This place should get zero stars. Here are the pros: Product and prices are decent and very good value. Salesmen are nice Cons: Salesmen will take your money without mentioning there is no chance of getting your furniture in the time they tell you. They know they have production issues and don't mention it. It took us four months to get our final product When the warehouse preps your delivery, if there is one piece missing the rest of your items get allocated to other people, you get rescheduled, and hope it works out better the next time. The warehouse will give dates to the salesmen with no other details. So the salesmen are nice but have no control but will lie to you that they do. We had multiple deliveries scheduled and confirmed and then canceled day of delivery. One time they didn't bother to notify of the cancellation. If they have in store what you want buy it. If you don't need something for 3 to 6 months knock yourself out. If you need something soon (like a normal person) and it has to be delivered go elsewhere. read more

Horrible experience. Awful customer service, claimed no relationship to the online Ashley HomeStore, and prices for the exact same products were 65% higher in the store. We will never shop at Ashley again, but if you must, I would definitely recommend doing it online. read more

My wife & I went in to look at furniture & were quickly greeted by the sales associate, which was fine. Told them we'd let them know if we had any questions but yet about every 30 seconds she or another person approached us asking this or that. We obviously didnnot purchase anything as we felt we were being pushed into a sale, we will not be back read more

Worst experience ever! Bought a bed months ago... received it and its not what was ordered... called the 1800 number they are so unhelpful... the bed I ordered months ago was discontinued and they can't get it and will not give a refund so I can go elsewhere to get a new bed.. will only let me exchange my bed for something in store... which they have nothing that matches my dressers... so I have to spend more money to get matching dressers to match whatever bed I choose!! read more

The people where great! They worked with us and helped as much as possible this is a great place to buy from!

This store has HORRIBLE customer service. We spent thousands of dollars on an entire king bedroom set and mattress. Unfortunately, we were terribly unhappy with our tempur pedic mattress purchase. We were allowed 1 "comfort exchange" and our salesman, Ian, pushed and pushed us to upgrade to the next style up. Against our better judgement, we purchased another tempur pedic and have been miserable ever since. The manager at the store said there was nothing he could do and gave me the number to corporate. I called corporate and a really rude customer service representative answered and refused to let me speak to a manager directly. Now I am left trying to sell a brand new tempur pedic mattress on Craigslist. I will NEVER purchase anything at this store ever again. read more

I am posting this on behalf of my cousin Melba Lucas.. Donna Blakemore was the first to greet her & she was very kind & attentive to her needs. My cousin was extremely pleased & will definitely be back. Thank you Ashley for premier customer service!!! read more

I have purchased a king size bedroom furniture a queen size bedroom furniture and a living room furniture from Chattanooga, Tn store back in august 2021, and every single piece has come in damaged. I have gone to store about six times to discuss the matter and giving them chance to fix the problem apparently the manager on duty GREG really don't care about the customers today I went to make sure my exchange order that was coming in was not damage like last 4 time they have been bringing in GREG very rude and the lady in the back same attitude this store has few associate that's nice but today's experience was worst i had ever seen in my life the worse customer service i had ever came across GREG the manager hands me a piece of with a phone number to call and discuss my matter. Ashley Homestore in Chattanooga, Tennessee, very poor, we bought living room furniture in February, was told it would be here in May, then was told it would be here in June, now it is the 4th of July and still no word. When you try to call customer service they say they can't help and tell you to read your contract. Don't waste your time or money with this company, they will not help. read more

I totally agree with a lot of the other reviews here about the service (or lack of) after the sale. Its TOTALLY HORRIBLE. I was told a delivery date and it was different than the one that actually happened. You pay a bunch of $$$ for a slow and inept delivery. The customer service number I called was laughable. I got some moron who couldn't think for themselves or speak proper English. The delivery was over 2 weeks and I won't buy anything again from them because the cost of delivery and the horrible experience. Even the delivery people were rude and acted like I was a bother. read more

If I could give them negative stars I would. I understand that during this time some item are out of stock and it can take a long time for orders to arrive. For this reason my wife and I checked to make sure we ordered items the salesperson assured us were in the warehouse. We later found out the items were not in the warehouse and delivery dates started to slip, then we finally got a date of 14 December for 2 items, but no one showed and then 21 December, this time I got an automated call saying the items would be delivered between 11am and 2pm but no one showed and now they were supposed to deliver today, 28 December, by 9:30am and then 11am and now they are supposed to be here by 11:30am. I feel they have repeatedly lied to us and if the items are not here by 11:30am, I'm going to cancel the entire order. Regardless of whether or not this order arrives today I'm canceling the other items we have on order. read more

As soon as we walked in a sales person had seen us and smiled. My husband and I continued to go look and my husband said after we had turned the corner the salesperson sped up and was stalking us. It was just a very uncomfortable experience. Won't be back. It's like dealing with car salesman. read more

Update on my previous review and complaints regarding this horrible customer service, I responded to your message with my contact info. Still have yet to receive any direct contact from an escalation team regarding my broken furniture or how you plan to resolve this issue. Ashley furniture has let me down...again. To be clear, the salesperson, Randy, was awesome. Took great care of us. I bought furniture in their store 2 and a half weeks ago. Delivery was supposed to be last Wednesday and they no showed. No call, no explanation except it didn't make it on the truck. The agent said they would reschedule for this coming up Wednesday, and today I receive a call that they overbooked and they need to reschedule. The first agent said they would refund the delivery charge, but manager overrode the decision on it. This time they said they would do it again. We will see. They say there system has no way of flagging problem deliveries. I say that is a lie. I could cancel the order but would have to pay a 10% restock fee. What a scam. They do not do what they say they are going to do. UPDATE!!! They just notified me that I will not be getting my furniture at all. They said i am out of their delivery area. So, the first few times they spoke with me, they knowingly lied. The person that communicated that I wouldn't be receiving it told me they knew all along. They have received my money, and they are not doing what they agreed to. This company is a joke. Buyer beware. read more

After working in the service industry for over 10 years, I have never experienced such an extreme disappointment with a company. Purchased bedroom furniture on August 2. After delivery was scheduled 3 times, I finally received the majority of my pieces on August 27 which were damaged upon delivery. Keep in mind, I was assured every item would be available for delivery by August 18 and somehow they were missing pieces supposedly in-stock at the time of my purchase causing my delivery to be delayed and when I finally received the delivery they were still missing an item. I had to wait until September 16 to receive all my repair parts to schedule a technician visit. I should finally have a technician visit around September 28 (nearly 60 days after the purchase date). Maybe they will finally "Make it right!" seeing as how they are the sole hinge keeping me from making my new place feel like a home. Just in case you all think about calling the store for support, they will definitely give you the run-around technique and most-definitely do not ever expect a call back from the sales staff. On that note, do not expect a pleasing experience with the Guest Response Team either. The majority of them seem 100% lackluster in their customer service roles; which I am quite sure the company wants it this way. Received another call today with guest response trying to set a tech date. They never logged my first date so, it'll now be into October before my goods can be fixed. Funny thing: I purchased a secondary nightstand for my new set before I received the rest from the online store. The shipment arrived to my home through UPS and had nothing wrong with it. So, it seems like the company just does not have the logistic ability to handle customer goods with care. The entire process has definitely been a displeasing venture. I would never purchase from this dealer again. We recently ordered a sectional from the Ashley HomeStore on Gunbarrel Rd. and had a great experience. The store is very clean, professionally presented, and has a plethora of options. Randolph Eller was the gentleman who helped us with our purchase. As someone who has been in sales for my entire professional career, I can truly say that Randolph was a pleasure to deal with. We didn't buy on our first visit but when we had decided to purchase the sectional that Randolph had showed us, I gave him a call. He was quick to respond and made the buying process exceptionally efficient. I appreciated that he presented us with several different buying options without being pushy. He was genuinely helpful and gave us an honest deal. We are looking forward to having our furniture delivered and will definitely use Ashley for our future furnishing needs. read more

I was promptly greeted when I arrived. The salesman seemed to be new but had great customer service skills. he wasn't hovering while we looked around, but was there if you needed further information which I appreciated. The one thing I felt "meh" about was the final transaction. I guess he forgot to read back everything he put into the system. I would've liked to have seen a detail of what exactly was purchased. Things like item/ bundle prices, including discounts, before the total was given. Other than that, it was a good experience. (update) I had to call the store and ask a few questions regarding missing items. I spoke with a young lady who sounded like she did not want to do life. She didn't sound like she "cared" about anything, in general. I get it. I've been on customer service before. Plus its the holidays. However, it was not a nice experience. You always try to at least sound like you want to help a customer. I almost felt like I was an intrusion. This is why I gave the overall 3 star rating. read more

Dishonest place!! Do not order without asking how long it will take to get your furniture delivered & if they give you an approximate date, do not believe them, it will take forever to get it delivered! I ordered back in May 2021 and was not going to get it until May 2022. To top if off the manager at the store was he rudest person ever! I went there to cancel the furniture that was going to take up to a year to get delivered. Of course, I was not going to wait another 6 months. They had to get the manager to cancel the order. He came to talk to me & as I was trying to explain why, he started getting an attitude, would not let me explain and would talk over me. He never once apologized! He just asked his worker to cancel my order and left. I left there and went straight to Rooms To Go, where they were very honest about deliveries dates not like this store. I think I deserved an apology and not the managers disrespectful attitude instead. I will never purchase from them again. read more

My wife and I spent over 6 thousand at this store and I even brought in my parents to buy some new furniture, they spent 10 thousand. The customer service was decent but all they care about is the sale not what happens afterwards. We have been waiting months for our furniture to come in and so have my parents. They gave us a month for all of it to come in which is understandable because COVID but they keep canceling the delivery date and pushing it out weeks. Pieces of the furniture are coming in at a time which was not explained during the sale. We have called multiple times to try to get a reasoning and understanding but they blame the Ashley website making sales during the shutdown, they blame the warehouse, they blame everything... we even went into the store one afternoon and the dude at the counter didn't give a crap. It's honestly frustrating to spend that much money, get promised everything will come in at a specific date and then get cancelled on with no real explanation or expectation. We have been without a dining table for two months now. Take your money and go somewhere else. read more

My review of 12/18/21 somehow showed SoMa, San Francisco, CA as my home but it should be Chattanooga, TN. I would hate for the people in my area to miss the information I shared and make the same mistake I made by shopping Ashley Homestore on Gunbarrel Road in Chattanooga, TN. In reply to Ashley's response to me in regards to sending (privately) my information. I was private when I purchased the furniture, also when I visited the store to ask for delivery, and again when I returned to the store and was told my chair (paid for and held for delivery) was sold and discontinued and "no" they would not return the matching loveseat because it had been delivered to the new home, which we have not yet moved into. This store has not one time reached out to us, not to alert us that the chair had been sold, and not to alert us that it had been discontinued, and as of today, 12.25, not one time. I will not drop this and I have begun other actions which you probably now know about or soon will. This is so dishonest, disrespectful, and inconsiderate to the people who are responsible for your success. I have always felt that the people who are hired to run and work a business are people who have the same characteristics of those at the top. Shame on you!! read more

If I could give negative stars I absolutely would! I have never in my entire life dealt with a store and company so inept! I have been given the run around for over a month about issues with an order that I have never even received. We are military and our status has unexpectedly changed and they will not give verification of cancellation and keep trying to deliver things to a non existent address. It is absolutely the worst. I only wanted to change half my order and instead, come hell or high water will Cancel the entire thing. I would STRONGLY advise customers to beware of shopping at Ashley. My experience with this store has been incredibly disappointing and frustrating. I spent $$$$ on 4 pieces, to be delivered to my office, and it has been a nightmare. I was told that the two rugs, love seat, and chair would arrive by September 20th ( my purchase was made Labor Day weekend). Nothing arrived on the 20th, and the one rug that was delivered by the sub-contracted delivery team, was delivered to the wrong office and wasn't discovered until a week later when I was notified by those specific tenants. The rug was the WRONG size and when I inquired with my salesperson about this issue, he told me the rug had been incorrectly marked and the store actually didn't even carry the rug I paid 500.00 for. I'm currently stuck with the rug as no one has returned to pick it up, and was told I would be refunded that 500.00, by this salesman, within 3-5 days of his supposedly having helped me. It's now been 5 days and the story has changed to the company needing to pick up the rug before I can receive the money back, but still, no one has made or is making any effort to pick up a rug I never ordered. As for the love seat, that is supposedly on back order and won't arrive in the promised time, which is problematic because I own my own business and will have clients but no place to sit. And as for the other 500.00 rug that I've paid for, that's no where to be found either. Stay FAR, FAR, FAR away from this store. I had better experiences with Sofa Mart or Restoration Hardware. I will make it a point to purposefully avoid this store and warn others as well. read more

My husband bought a chair at this Ashley Furniture store. They finally called to say it was in. My daughter picked it up and brought it over. Husband came home from work, sat in it and didn't like it. It wasn't what he was looking for. Uncomfortable. So two days later (on a Saturday because yeah, he works) he took it back. The manager was very rude and condescending and would not return it. He wanted my husband to exchange it or be stuck with it. Well after looking for an hour, my husband now is stuck with it! I don't think I would have minded so much except for the way the manager spoke with my husband and the attitude and rudeness. Sorry Ashley- I'm never buying anything from you again! read more

On 11/17 I placed an order with John Totten for a living room, dinning room, Master bedroom and beds for my daughters. I was out of the country and John assured me there wasn't any issues and everything would arrive in one week but two pieces. I explained we were moving back from over seas and needed these items and he told me to not worry he would handle all this himself! 7 days later and it was going to be 7 more days. I was called and told that John has left items off my order that I needed and I was required to pay more. 12/07 A few items arrived and some arrived damaged. But I was told they would be here by 12/14 12/14 arrived and it would be 7 more days. 12/21 I got a call that the living room sofa had prices on back order and it would take weeks. My girls beds weren't in and other items weren't as well. Basically nothing had changed. How do you not know prior to the day before delivery all items aren't in? I started speaking to Harry, who seems to be the only one i have dealt with that that isn't a liar, cheat, incompetent. John and General Manager Darrel surely are crooks. Harry managed to get my sofa piece delivered and one of my girls beds. 12/22 sofa comes and it is great. Finally something positive about this. My daughters bed arrives and the Lulu headboard bookcase doesn't have a back to it and ANOTHER piece is missing! Went and spoke to Harry, a great guy, showed him the texts and mess I had and he agreed that Ashely should do something for me but he wasn't able too, so he calls Darrel the General Manager who told me I could have the sale price and that's all. So now for Christmas one of my girls doesn't have a bed, no dresser for me and who knows when it will come! They failed so many times already why would I trust them now? I spend thousands there only to be cheated, lied to and strung along. I wanted to cancel the order and was told anything I had taken custody of they wouldn't take back! NOTHING has went right, no one as Ashley has owned the errors made in this order and transaction and it is excuse after excuse. Ashley customer service line is worthless as well, they refer you back to the store for help. Please, please don't buy here but if you have too, speak to Harry and not John "the incompetent liar" Totten or Darrel "I don't care about customers or customer service because I am a greedy leach" the general manager. But better to avoid the headaches. Again avoid John Totten and Darrel; they will cheat you and do you wrong. 12/26-notified that part of my order was now due to deliver in February! Also told they would have to refer me on the missing backing of the bookcase. read more

The price and selection was fine. Everyone at the store was very helpful. Until delivery time. We are scheduled for delivery this coming Saturday. I have to work and my wife had something come up, so we called to see if they could come after 12 PM. My wife was told that the 'lady' who does the scheduling doesn't route the deliveries until Thursday, but that she would put in a note that we requested something after noon. So today my wife gets the call and is told we are scheduled from 9-12. She told the person that she couldn't promise that she'd be there before 12. I get home and my wife is speaking to someone at customer service. She's about to lose it, so I take over. Turns out the 'lady' is a computer. It generates the route and cannot be changed after it is made. The second person I spoke to told me it basically takes everyone's name that has a delivery that day, puts them in a hat, and has a lottery. And nobody can change it. I literally asked him, "Is there anyone on this planet that has the authority to change the schedule?" To which he simply said no. He also refused to give my a number or email for his supervisor. Nice. But on the bright side, I was told I could cancel the whole deal and would only owe them 10% of the cost. I thought that was really nice of them. It is not the fact that they won't tweak the schedule to accomodate us. It is the fact the NOBODY I spoke to is even willing to entertain the notion. We will figure something out; I'm not paying them 10% for nothing, I paid for delivery, and I need that sleeper sofa for out of town guests next weekend. But I will never spend another penny at any Ashley affiliated store and will do my best to make sure no one I know ever does either. Being unwilling to even try to find a solution is completely unacceptable. read more
