This place is a joke. We ordered a couch in June. The estimated delivery date was mid August. Store associate Basil was pushy and pretended to give us a great discount, but only if we paid for the $100 five year protection plan on top of the sale. We said fine, let's do it. He filled out a stack of paperwork. The weekend before scheduled delivery we gave away the old couch and called up the store, which hung up on us. We called Basil directly who said he'd call back. Hours later he called to say the couch would be delivered Tuesday, just one day delay. Cool. Monday rolls around and we call the store because no one has scheduled a delivery window yet. No one answers. We call Basil, who hangs up on us. We call main line Ashley customer support and after twenty minutes on hold, someone says that couch isn't available until mid September, not sure how Basil fucked up so bad and didn't tell us. We found the same couch $150 cheaper on another furniture store's site with free delivery and no required five year plan. Even on the Ashley website the couch was the same price as the so called "super sale" rate that Basil suckered us into buying with the protection plan. Cancelled the order but did it in store. I'd stop by the store to sit on some couches, deny Basil a sale, and look for the same couch elsewhere. The showroom is nice, at least. read more

If I could give zero stars I would! I have left several messages for the Store Manager SAVA asking for her to return my call and nothing. When I first went in to purchase my bed and table I was ignored and only offered service by an elderly gentleman who stated he was about to get written up for performance for sales. The sales rep answered all my questions and was very attentive, he even asked me if I could rate him for his service and called his supervisor over. Once my delivery date came this all turned into a nightmare. The delivery team damaged the table and then refused to replace it. They instead send a technician over to repair something I did not damage, to begin with. I followed all the proper steps to address the matter while the delivery team was at my home. Needless to say, after several calls to their customer service line, and emails back and forth telling me that I needed to contact the store where I made the purchase. They finally agreed to replace it just to deliver another damaged table worse than the first delivery. The result is I still don't have my table replaced and no one from Customer Service can connect me to management, they keep directing me to the store where SAVA does not return calls. My only recourse is to file a complaint with the BBC, something I have never had to do! I refuse to keep a damaged product, I just want my money back and you can come pick up your damaged table! read more

Sleezy high pressure sales practices. I went in there asking to look at leather sofas. I didn' t realize until I got home, but the "leather" sofa they sold me was actually SIMULATED leather (i.e., polyester). It was a convincing substitute, but a visit to their website revealed the actual content. When I went in there to look, they started with a ridiculous inflated price. Salesguy announced I was getting 40% off because sales are down (Covid-19). Turned out the "discount price" was actually about $200 higher then the price that has been on the web all year. I tried a bunch of sofas. I picked out one, took a bunch of photos, and told the salesguy that I wanted to go home and look at the picture in the context of the room I needed the furniture for. He insisted that I meet with the manager first - it was like trying to exit a car showroom. The manager came out and dropped the price $200 (the dropped price, btw, matched the actual selling price on the web). I was weak and agreed with the understanding that I could cancel the sale if I changed my mind. Came back a day or two later to cancel. That was a 40 minute procedure. It started with the cashier making multiple attempts to change my mind, including dropping the price and moving up the delivery time (hint: if they are continually dropping the price, that should tell you the prices aren't fair to start). She then insisted that I needed to meet with the manager before she could process. The manager pulled every high pressure sales technique she could think of until I eventually raised my voice and got my money back. Not only was all this irritating, it was unsafe. Happened at a crowded sales area I had to keep moving around for social distancing reasons. Streams of people came in with complaints about their furniture, delivery, etc. I haven't felt that unsafe at a store since the pandemic started. Honestly, that place is like a car dealer. All the same dishonest sales practices and high pressure techniques. As in a car dealership, they try to isolate you with the manager and salesperson both pressuring you and getting you confused so that you sign away. PS the quality of the furniture I saw was OK. I'd say it is easily on par with IKEA, Bob's, and Living Spaces. The big problem though is that all those places have much lower prices and zero sales pressure or cons. read more

Don't waste your time with Burbank location, I waited 3 weeks for my order than the day before they called and said it's going to take another 2 months and after that they will call you and lie and say the order was damage and that it will take another 3 weeks, when you call back they will change their story to something els, pretty much they make up lies and make you wait almost 3 months. Called and spoke to Mariam/Miriam, who was extremely rude, speaking over me and unexpectedly putting me on hold without asking, and then rudely saying that she did ask me to hold and that "my coworker is here next to me so I know I said that". I recorded the conversation of the manager of this store would like to review. Candidly, this employee should be removed from any kind of customer-facing role. Absolutely terrible service and interaction. My recommendation is to just look in-store and buy online, because the follow-up service post-purchase has been TERRIBLE. Walking past the customer service desk while entering the store should have made me think twice about my purchase. I saw 4-5 people with angry expressions on their faces, and this is exactly the feeling I have now dealing with the Burbank Ashley HomeStore. We entered the store with a good idea as to what we wanted to purchase, a bed frame and side table. Luckily, I had already looked online for prices as they mark up their furniture and then "give you" a 50% discount. However, the price in-store is about $100-300 more than the online price, probably to make a commission in sales. So always look for the online price as they can price match. The in-store buying process was lengthy and I probably could have saved time by buying the set we liked online, but it was nice having a direct contact at the store, as I have seen from other reviews the online support is nearly impossible to get in touch with. Just know, that it is very difficult to reschedule your delivery date as we tried, but it ended up being process for the original date. Also, the date it was supposed to be delivered we waited until 9:00 pm, as we were the last stop, until they contacted us and said they were unable to deliver since they were at their limit for overtime. I can't imagine the type of pressure these delivery men were under to make it to 8 homes in one day and build the furniture as well. This makes me think that Ashley's furniture does not care for its employees. I have spent the entirety of this morning trying to reach someone at their store. After being on hold for 30 minutes, I spoke to someone saying our furniture is on the truck but it needs to be unloaded and then rescheduled for a week from now. It's very disappointing working with the customer service both in-store and on the phone and I recommend finding a different Ashley's store with better reviews or finding a more local furniture store that is more personable and reliable. I just wanted to say that my shopping experience during COVID really stunk here today! I don't really write reviews like this, but I cannot get over this. First of all, during COVID. There should be only 10 people or less in the store at all times in non-essential businesses. THIS INCLUDES STAFF AND GUESTS. Secondly, associates need to wear masks that cover their entire faces, there were some associates taking off their masks to talk to us. (the point about wearing a mask is to protect people around you). Please if management looks at this review, it's high time you review your mask protocol with your employees. MASKS ON AT ALL TIMES, Masks should also be big enough to cover both your nose and mouth. The associate that was helping us out constantly had to adjust his mask. This made me extraordinarily uncomfortable because I have asthma and it does matter to me that employees cover their faces especially if you are not socially distancing appropriately. Thirdly, it should be the responsibility of the sales associates to ensure their customers are wearing their masks accordingly. I must've seen more than five guests not wearing their masks properly. I felt very unsafe shopping here. They didn't earn our business. Again, there were too many people in the store. It seems like they didn't care either. Being someone whose immunocompromised my severe anxiety kicked in and had to leave. DO BETTER, BE BETTER. LIMIT YOUR APPOINTMENTS, LIMIT THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE IN YOUR STORE. I just came from Living Spaces in Panorama City, so maybe my review is skewed, but coming from there to Ashley HomeStore is the equivalent of spending a night in the handicap stall of a park bathroom in Downtown L.A. one night, then getting a room at the Beverly Hills Hotel the next night--the moment we walked into Ashley, we were helped by Basil who was accommodating and didn't pressure us into anything. We were shown the selection of couches, decided on one along with a chair, and got 10% off--the couch and chair total was the same as the cost of the couch we would've gotten at Living Spaces, if it had ever arrived (read my review to learn more about THAT fucking nightmare). Our Ashley salesman told us our furniture would be arriving in TWO DAYS, and holy shit, it really did arrive in two days--at 9AM on the dot, by two professionals who set everything up in less than ten minutes. Done. Furniture acquired. People complaining about the overly aggressive salesmen need to go to Living Spaces for the opposite experience--nobody helping you, all of the salespeople scattered about willy-nilly, lines that take nearly an hour, furniture that's just as expensive but shitty, and a month-and-a-half wait time for said furniture with a month delay then tacked on, only to be told your selection no longer exists. I wanted to go through their financing for the no interest for 60 months so i go on putting the numbers in my head came up to about 4000. so i ask how much of line credit i should ask for at the kiosk she says 7000(2nd RED FLAG) lol. i go onto doing the application got approved for a little over 7k. so while preparing the documents for the purchase she goes im going to price match online because online prices are lower.(3rd RED Flag) lmao WHAT?!?, her boss or manager on duty came over to review it and asks us why we don't want a mattress cover. going back and forth over a mattress cover (4th RED FLAG). End up taking out the dresser+mirror and night stands off order as the total came out to around 4k. still not happy with the purchase amount and we already been in there feels like all day. following day we felt uneasy about the purchase(5th RED FLAG). *when you buy something and you feel uneasy about it, its not for you.* I went on ASHLEY online to cancel order the agent told me they submitted it and should get confirmation within 48 hours, didn't. so now we go back in store to cancel. another back and forth about a mattress cover (final red flag). At that point we already been in there over an hour trying to cancel an order or price match. First of all I have to say in the past before we have been approached aggressively about our wants when shopping in this showroom, but today was a totally different energy and experience. We met Judith sales rep on the showroom floor. After about an hour of patiently waiting and allowing my husband and children to research and process the selection of our choice we selected two couches instead of one. Judith was fully supported and encouraged by her store manager Shawn to fulfill our request and as a result we purchased a loveseat and full size sofa for our home. I purchased a 2 piece couch and matching loveseat less than 2 years. All 3 come with power outlets to charge your phone and are powered recliners. Recently the power outlets all stopped working, so I called and made an appointment using my 5 year warranty. It took them 3 weeks to find a time slot only to have a technician to come out. He literally was in and out of my house in less than 10 minutes to tell me that he will need to order the parts and once they arrive then he will be coming back to install.
