They haven't had that many recent reviews, but I went right to them as soon as I got off the plane! Calenn gave a friendly hello, and proceeded to show me the beds they had. I told him I needed it delivered this week, and he checked his inventory and one of the ones I liked, he had, and it was on sale. It could be delivered a few days later and the times were 8-8 pm. My parents senior living building said the best times were 9-11 or 1-5, so it doesn't interrupt lunch. I spoke to I believe Mark, and he said if I wanted a special delivery, it would cost extra, so I took my chances. I don't know if Mark said anything, but my delivery confirmation was between 9:30-11:30! And then they were early! Mel and Elijah were great! They were so friendly and kind to my parents! But what impressed me the most was when they took off their shoes before entering! Very respectful! They moved the old mattress and box springs, and even went so far as to break down the old frame. They didn't have to do that. They set the legs to the lowest height., set the Sealy medium, Euro pillow top mattress on top, and were done! Mel even said, "Ok aunty and uncle, hope you enjoy your new bed." And then they took the old mattress away. This was a really great experience, and it made everything much easier! It will probably be slept on only a few times a year, twin size, so was not looking for something expensive and top of the line. This was my description to Christopher. "I get it, no problem!" So we were whisked over to the mattress display and within 5 - 10 minutes, zeroed in on the mattress that we wanted. Then we got a bed platform frame, along with mattress protector and a set of sheets. Scheduled a delivery date, paid, and boom! All done in 20 minutes! No high pressure upselling, listened to what I was looking for, and was really quick and efficient! A guy kind of experience - haha! The bed frames were a bit limited in variety in terms what they had in Hawaii, so they may not have all the choices that you see on their website. I thought that that was the reason why she wanted to sleep in the recliner... because it's adjustable... I happened to pass by BedMart at Pearl City Gateway. It's located between Longs Drugs Store and Foodland Farms, and across the parking lot from Dunkin' and Hana Tea. Tom was here the first day that I visited. I asked him about twin sized beds - how much is a mattress and how much is the frame, and can my aunty come and try it out. Sure. However, no twin-sized beds are on the floor right now - but the XL twin bed (5 inches longer) is on display. Maria helped me on the second day that I visited. She gave me more information about the different types of mattresses and seemed more helpful. All of the beds are adjustable. The twin XL bed would require longer sheets. The 5 extra inches are to provide for the bed's changing angles. She offered me some water, but I told her I had to get going. Aunty changes her mind a lot. One day, she's complaining, and the next day, she'll say she likes her current bed. Well... I have this bed option in case she changes her mind again. First, he gave us an overview of the showroom layout. Basically, Beauty Rest models were upfront from newest arrivals (flagship Black X-class Hybrid series) to older ones (original Black series) by number of springs. Followed by Tempurpedic models in the back and Stearns & Foster models along the right side upon walking in from the main entrance. In the very back, off to the left of the Tempurpedics, right before entering the clearance showroom, is the Serta and Sealy models. Then, Kyle recommended that we receive a sleep/pressure point analysis to estimate the amount of firmness we'd be most comfortable sleeping on. Firmness levels range from 1-2 (soft), 3-4 (medium-soft), 5-7 (medium-firm), to 8-10 (Firm). After a quick digital analysis scan, we found that my husband and I averaged between a 2-3 level of firmness, so we opted to look more into medium suggested mattresses. Next, we tried different models from each of the brands. We preferred the Beauty Rest X-class Hybrid series the best. We were impressed by the comfort and level of coolness we felt while testing the mattress out. It's a good thing we really loved that mattress! Anyway, we were very satisfied with the service from Kyle. He was knowledgeable about the inventory, patient when we were undecided, and respectful by giving us time and space without coming off as rude when leaving to help other customers. Walking in we were immediately greeted and was asked all the basic questions of what we're looking for which is a mattress and ruled out anything that's memory foam and just something simple which we were instantly taken to a few options for us and a matter of choose the firmness we desired. The other options that we did have is there is no longer box springs that supports the mattress which is a nicer option so it's just that and the base where that's the other option to choose from the basic to the bougie one that will lift your mattress to a more comfort and supportive fit. Seriously not knowing much of the difference or comparison with any other type of mattress but did love that they do offer a lot of accessories so that you don't need to shop for like mattress cover and sheets as well but we did keep it simple and they do deliver and remove your old mattress as well making it a simple process and since there was a type of sale that worked well for us we walked away feeling great knowing that some comfort was as easy process as giving them a visit. After looking at a few places on Yelp, I decided to try MattressFIRM first because they had good deals, a bonus, and it's nearby. My sales associate was Kekau. She was VERY helpful, answering all my questions, letting me try out different mattresses, and pointing out which mattress goes best for the type of sleeper (i.e. side vs. back). She actually LISTENED to what I had to say, especially what I did NOT want. We even had time to talk story, and I found out I am her sister's classmate! In the end, I got a queen and full sized mattress and platforms. The platforms are the bonus! It's the adjustable electric platform that raises one end of the mattress, and it was INCLUDED at no extra cost! What a deal! Delivery was scheduled for the very next day! I cannot say if this is true for everyone's purchase, but since my mattresses were in stock, delivery was quick. In just over 24 hours, my new beds were set up, and my old ones were hauled away. The delivery guys were equally awesome. They were very careful about not hitting walls or other furniture. Set up was quick, and they were done in less than an hour!
