Today I was in the area of Ashley Store located right across the street from Anna Millers on Kam Hwy. I was shopping around for a mattress or possibly the whole set . Under one roof of Ashley Store you have Slumber World which sell beds and also Home World which sells furniture. I got into the store and I went directly in the back of the store where all the beds are and I was approached by a salesperson his name was Isaac . He was very friendly and knowledgeable and customer service oriented he ask if I was looking for something in particular. I replied either a queen mattress or the whole set . He explained the different type of mattress from firmness to medium and even soft. He also explained there's a difference if I slept on my back or side. It will determine what kind of mattress that will be perfect for me . We got a coffee table at this location and although we were initially excited about receiving it, there were a lot of issues that followed up that may not just be the stores concern, but is something that hopefully Ashley will consider when ordering in the future. First of all, we had a great salesperson. Her name was Russ (RB) and she was wonderful. We were debating between 2 coffee tables and she took the time to answer our questions, but not be pushy in asking if we made a decision. I felt like we were there all day because we just couldn't make a decision. Anyways, we finally decided on this beautiful table with a veneer finish and we're excited to receive it on our delivery day. When we got the table, we noticed some scratches and dents on the table. Since we had some time to make sure we wanted to table, we let it sit for a few days. We eventually called customer service to see if there was anything they could do. Unfortunately, the best they offered was to provide a small discount. In the end, we thanked them for their discount but was disappointed that this was the best that could be done in this situation. A few weeks later, the veneer started to peel. Since it was past the return date, we are now doing what we can to glue down the veneer, but are disappointed that this is needed. I'm hoping this review will have Ashley furniture reconsider certain items they bring into their stores, especially since living in Hawaii, we only have a limited amount of items to select from. I'm not sure if the value of this table was worth the cost, but since more issues popped up after the return service, we are just trying to make the best of the table since the one key point that we love about this table is the size! read more

Horrible experience here! I ordered an ottoman with a sectional. It took over a year to get my ottoman. I had my sectional couch in a few weeks upon ordering... waited a WHOLE YEAR for my ottoman. I kept calling every couple months for a follow up. And they were clueless. Told me in July it will come.. then it was September I called and asking if it was coming because it has passed july and I had no call. Then they said December. When december came I called again. And then the date changed to March. No one called me and I had to call them. Finally got my ottoman A YEAR LATER after I CALLED SEVERAL TIMES. What they did for me? Nothing. They kept telling me they would call me and update me.... Did they? NOPE. I called. I called and asked and followed up. Did they discount me? Nope. What's really sad is, BEFORE purchasing.... They would CALL US often to follow up if we found a couch or if we were ready to make the purchase. The moment they get your money and you make that purchase I'm pretty sure whoever helped you gets commission that's why. THEY STOP CALLING. They don't care about you as a client nor will they follow up and see how your doing. They just really want your money and want their commission here and it shows! We need new furniture and I really don't want to come back here because of this horrible experience. Matt guided me through the different quality and price tiers to help narrow down the choices without feeling pressured. I really thought customer service was going to be top notch here. When my family entered the store we were greeted by a female employee who asked us what we were looking for. I told her we were just browsing and she was nice enough to let us know where particular furniture items were located in the store. I went to the beds, knowing that I will be needing one. Spoke with a younger male employee who was extremely kind in answering questions. He said they weren't able to hold it for me if I purchased now while we wait for our home to be completed. I thanked him and went towards the escalators to go upstairs. Now this is when things started to go downhill. After the female employee saw me speaking to her coworker (I figured that he specializes in beds and it was his section), she followed me like a hawk trying to sell me furniture I wasn't even interested in nor did I even like them. She didn't ask what I wanted, what colors I liked, etc. just interested in making her commission. I came upon bar stools that I was thinking of buying later. She was extremely pushy and I felt so pressured to place half down on the stools that she wouldn't be able to hold for me. She also wasn't able to guarantee that they would be available when I needed them but let me know more was on order. Furniture shopping saga continues. I would always pass by and bug my hubby to take me inside. As my dads personal interior designer, this was a fun trip to let my creativity flow. Indoors it's huge and honestly I almost got lost a few times but somehow quickly knew my way around. Upstairs had this beyond gorgeous bamboo dining table with the matching chairs. Wasn't a total package as each chair was a la carte, I regress. I honestly wish I took a picture of it so that I could see how it could possibly look in my home. I have been looking for the perfect sofa since last October. I met Brandon at the Ashley store in Aiea. He was so helpful and kind. I decided on a sofa that I liked. It was the perfect size for my apartment. We made all the arrangements to have it delivered. Unfortunately when the sofa arrived, it would not fit in the elevator. Brandon told me not to worry. We would find a sofa that I liked and would fit in the elevator, too. He gave me a refund and was so gracious about the entire experience This past week, we found the perfect one. They have a sizable parking lot with free parking and the sales associates aren't pushy. We were interested in a sectional but found it on Ashley HomeStore's website for $400 less, including shipping and delivery. Unfortunately they couldn't price match but it's totally orderable online. First time coming here to buy anything. My wife and I were searching for a sofa. We were patient and looking around at other places such as Red Knot, InSpirations, Elite Furniture, etc. Luckily, we looked at Ashleys Furnitures during the 4th of July sale which had an awesome deal that you couldn't resist. I saw a sofa chaise that had a small storage space for $999 by itself, but this 4th of July deal included the throw pillows, 02 lamps of your choice, 02 end tables with 01 matching coffee table of your choice, and an area rug of your choice all for $1,099. The actual deal was a choice of the sofa chaise with throw pillows or the sofa and loveseat. There are other deals for $1,500, but it includes more items, etc. Our salesman, Jake Javier did an excellent job being patient with my million questions that I had for him. He was able to persuade me to get this killer deal rather than buy a couch for almost the same price or more. This store is located across the street from Anna Millers near Pearlridge Shopping Center. There are ample parking in the front of the store. They provide a flat rate delivery fee of $100 which doesn't include removal of old furniture, but they do provide the service for $135 total. My wife loves our new furniture set, so I'm happy if she's happy. read more

I was looking for an affordable leather loveseat and couldn't find the right one. Ruby asked if I needed help and she informed me of some great finds in the clearance section. She was right! The furniture in clearance are four month old floor models and they had a lot of nice items to choose from. Ruby showed me the perfect sofa and I'm grateful for her wonderful customer service. Great place to shop! This review was overdue for a few months. Back in May, my wife and I bought our Living Room, Dining Room, and Bedroom sets for our new place (yes, all at the same time). Our Home Furnishing Consultant Brandon was very patient and professional, assisting us while we decided which furnishings we wanted. He offered suggestions based on our preferences and waited patiently until we decided. The delivery was quick and efficient, the movers were very careful and accommodating to where we chose to place each piece. At the last minute 3 days before everything was to be delivered, we changed our mind about our bed and chose a king bed and platform instead of the queen platform and using our existing mattress. Again, we went to see Brandon who was so accommodating and was able to change the order. We also bought a new king mattress from Bedding Specialist Justin who was very knowledgeable and also provided excellent customer service. They have a wonderful selection of fine furniture at a number of price points, but mostly at the higher end. Definitely the nicest furniture you'll find around here - so many other stores offer only dated, low quality pieces, so Ashley is quite refreshing! We enjoyed being able to shop both Red Knot and Ashley at the same time and finance pieces from both on the same account. Very convenient. Ended up purchasing a dining table and chairs, a bed frame, dresser, and couch. Terrible customer service. The most uncomfortable shopping experience I have ever had. There was a blonde woman with glasses and shoulder length hair that kept staring at us in each showroom that we entered. She did not greet us when we walked into Ashley Furniture and was silent when I said "hello." She followed us from room to room from afar and notified other associates to watch us. I attempted to speak to her but she did not respond. We were not greeted by anyone until we had been in the store for around 30 minutes. After being followed by this woman I was too uncomfortable to continue shopping. We're a military family and we were so excited after just moving to the island and in need of furniture ASAP. We stopped in when they were hosting a promotional event in-store. There was plenty of parking and the workers were pretty friendly overall. We ended up purchasing a dining table, four chairs and a lift-top coffee table. Some of their prices are a little high, but they do offer furniture in a variety of price ranges. It seems that a lot of the items in their showroom are not available in their warehouse. All of our items had to be shipped in. We were told that our furniture would arrive the following month (April), but we didn't receive any follow-up from our sales representative. We called the store twice to check on the status of our order and were finally told that our furniture would be here in May. When we arrived at the store to pay for the remainder of our order, it seemed that their warehouse had a power outage so we weren't able to pick up our order on that day. Overall, this place is just okay. It's a really big store, and they have a decent selection. I just would have appreciated better follow-up on our order...especially since our order was delayed. read more

Just moved into my own studio, with a beach chair as my "sofa". Lol After about 3 hours?? I left satisfied and relieved. We recently moved into our first new home and were very excited to get new furniture. We walked in and was greeted by Damien. We told him what we were looking for as far as type of furniture, color, style, etc. and he showed us different options. We immediately fell in love with a bedroom set he recommended and he was also able to help us find a living room set that would fit our needs. We had a specific situation where we visited a few months back and thought we were going to close on a home, but the process ended up getting prolonged. My fiancé and I been shopping around all the stores on Oahu to find a sofa that would support my back due multiple back surgeries over the past seven years. I have been working with Allen and last week we put a down payment on a stress less sofa/chase. Allen was very helpful and polite with explaining the difference between all the sofas I looked at. It was late Monday, we placed the order and deposit. Thursday I wanted double check the support after talking to my doctor on Thursday and contacted Allen and informed him I to wanted make sure the sofa we place an order for really supported my back. After arriving on Thursday afternoon and working with Allen, we decided to go with a different stress less sofa with different color of leather. We talked and Allen said he would update the sales order and email to me soon. Well I never received to new sales order Thursday, nor Friday to verify everything was correct. I sent Allen a message around noon and another message after 8 pm on Friday. He replied late that night and said he left his phone at home and he will send me the sales order to me on Saturday. Why did I not get it Thursday or Friday??? What if I did not contact Allen, would we have received the wrong sofa in 4-6 months?? Both of us are not happy knowing that the money we are spending and the customer service was not satisfactory. Mainly because we should have received a sales order via email that day like we were told before I left the store. But we did not receive it Thursday night or Friday and Allen said he would send it to me on Saturday. We have decided this is not the company we should be dealing with if we cannot even get a copy of the updated sofa order to review on the same day. I was lucky to have Ashley from Ashley Home Store help me furnish my home. She was patient and helped me find pieces that fit the style of my home. She showed me MANY couches and I finally decided on one that fit our space and budget. Ashley Home Store had a lot of furniture to choose from. I felt most of the furniture was dated and bulky. If you want more modern furniture check out Red Knot. I bought my furniture on a big sale weekend, so I believe I got the best deal. Many of my guests think I got my furniture from Inspiration, so I'll take that as a compliment hehe. Just beware of furniture that takes some time to get to Oahu. My entertainment center was scheduled to arrive mid-November. The end of November came and I asked Ashley what happened to the piece. She said it was already on island, however I was not notified. Salesman Brandon T. was nice, friendly and honest about the type of leather my loveseat was made from. So I bought my loveseat from him. One salesman, at that same store, said he could tell real leather from bonded leather just by the feel and it was due to his familiarity with leather firniture. According to leather furniture reviews, genuine leather and real leather have very similar textures that consumers would need to check the underside of the leather cover to determine whether the leather is bonded or genuine leather. Therefore, consumers must rely on the honesty of the furniture maker, furniture business, and salesperson because, today, furniture is sown well that it is almost impossible to check the underside of the leather unless you take the furniture apart. read more

okay okay okay. i went here 1 time & got stalked by a sales man. kind of annoying, so we left in a hurry. came back another day & met Damien. he remembered seeing us the 1st time we came so we explained to him why we left. he was very nice & patient with us as we were purchasing a whole new bedroom set for ourselves & wanted to see their sofas for my dad. we didn't end up getting a sofa that day...but we did return about a month later & who did we get??
