    Spicy garlic chicken pinsas
    Shane Z.

We were a little intimidated by the amount of cars in the parking lot but still plenty of parking and there was no wait so if you feel the same pulling in or passing by still stop in. There was no wait to be seated and food was served in a timely manner. Restaurant is very clean and opened to the outside. Staff very friendly. The food was great we split the hot honey chicken sandwich which was a big piece of chicken the honey was delicious, not spicy hot but still good. The slaw wasn't traditional and served soaking like most other places, very crisp. The pinsas a Roman style pizza was very filling. We got the spicy chicken garlic which to me tasted more buffalo chicken and less garlic to me, also not a bad thing as I love buffalo chicken. But overall great building, great staff, and great food, great prices. I will definitely be back to try some of their beers and drinks and other menu items. Highly recommend and well worth the drive out of the city to check it out!

We stopped into Ashland Brewing Co after a bike race and I quite enjoyed their beer and food. One thing I found disappointing was that their full tap list and food menu wasn't available at their outside seating, which I couldn't quite understand. That being said, our wait was much shorter than the quoted time and I had really enjoyed my Mac and cheese and Brussel sprouts, along with the full beer menu, once inside.

Love getting drinks at Ashland brewing!!! They have seasonal cocktails which I always love plus their own beers on tap. They also carry a lot of local drinks like glacial till cider. Plenty of area inside and outside to sit, drink, & hangout

Very cool addition to the Ashland area! They have a huge parking lot but the place is always busy when I dribe by. The space is huge, with indoor/outdoor pickleball courts and corn hole boards. Indoor and outdoor seating as well as a second floor patio. We didn't eat, but enjoyed a sampling of their beers, and they were solid. Service was a bit slow at the bar but friendly. Will definitely visit again when I am in the area!

    Smashburger

Ashland Brewing was a great place for a Casual meal. While staying in the area we went for dinner and were seated promptly and our server came right over. I got the Blue Cheese Smashburger and it was delicious. The vibe was fun with the pickleball courts outside that can be reserved. Fun place for burgers and drinks!

I will start by saying I have no thoughts on the fun activities they l offer here, Pickleball in particular. It looks fun but I was here for the food and the beer. There is still work to be done on the quality of beer here, nothing bad necessarily, it's just not quite there yet. I withheld doing a review after our first visit here which was just after they opened. Now they have it together. I was a bit surprised to still see a pumpkin beer in early February. The rest of the selections, which you can see in my picture, offer a good variety. You will certainly find something to your liking. So let's get to the food. We each ordered the ABC Smashburger. It comes with fries or, for a dollar extra, another side dish. I had to try the jalapeño rings, which were not too hot. They were just right! They came out hot temperature-wise and fresh with a nice, tasty sauce on the side. As for the Smashburger, it was out of this world! You get two patties, not just one of high-quality beef. Where else? You're in Nebraska! The patties were hot and fresh with a little pink on the inside. The service was outstanding, mostly due to our waitress Nicole. She was absolutely friendly, smiling everywhere, and she had very good suggestions for beer and things like the jalapeño peppers.

Very cool and trendy place. Had the pickle beer and pineapple beer, both were favorites.

Great atmosphere for outdoor seating in a nice day. Plenty of outdoor games to pay also pickle ball inside and out. Ordered some apps which were good bits lightly over priced in my opinion. Service at bar was slow. Nobody to bus tables.

They are close, this place could be awesome..but they have a long way to go. Food is average, service is average. Venue is awesome. Get a manager that knows the business. That's passionate. Yah it sucks to pay that salary but they would be rewarded 10 fold. Good luck !!

I am I love with this new Brewery! The place is gorgeous and has two big pickleball courts out front, lots of tvs to watch games, and the open windows so you can see the brewery from the dining room! Wait staff were quick and knowledgeable about the beer menu. I liked my meal okay the buffalo cauliflower was just a little cold but it wasn't super mushy which I have found at a lot of other places. My partner had the peanut butter burger which I didn't get a picture of but I snuck a bit and will for sure get that next time!

Yes, yes--I know it's new. That's actually why we waited a bit before checking it out. And disclaimer: I don't like beer, but I was still really excited for this spot to open because of the massive space and all the amenities. We waited about an hour for food, which we expected given the recent opening. In the meantime, we hung out upstairs at the bar. Unfortunately, they were out of three drinks my husband wanted, which was a letdown. I was happy to see Glacial Till cider available (shoutout to them!), but they had just run out of the sour I wanted to try next. I appreciated that they had a cocktail menu, but it would be great to see it expanded to better serve a broader crowd. When our table was ready, we headed downstairs--important note: the upstairs bar and downstairs restaurant operate separately. Unfortunately, the food was a real disappointment, especially after the long wait. The nachos were dry and bland (we had to ask for ranch just to add flavor), and the burger was politely... nothing special. That said, the place itself is impressive--tons of space, pickleball, bags, Jenga, and more. We checked out the pickleball courts, but $40/hour felt a bit steep. Overall, I want to be fair: it's new, and growing pains are normal. We'll definitely give it another shot down the road. I just hope to see more attention to the food and a more inclusive drink menu next time.

Stopped by the new brewery after Eugene Mahoney on a Sunday. We were hoping to get food but the kitchen was closed so only had drinks. It is a beautiful space with a lot of activities for the whole family, corn hole, pickle ball, jenga, connecting 4, etc. It was very crowded but we were sat right away. We ordered two diff IPAs which were good. My fav beer is a West Coast IPA which they had. Not a lot of places in the Midwest have that so I was excited. I hope to come back and be a le to try their food. A fun place to come with friends or with your kiss to enjoy some good beers and have some fun.

    Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich

We started off with the Green Patio vibes for drinks. Light but delicious. We got the sweet loaded tots for an appetizer. The portion sizes are definitely worth the price. They are huge. These were sweet and salty. A unique find on a menu but would absolutely order again. We never thought about sweet loaded tots and decided we will try to replicate this at home. Before our meals came we ordered another drink. We ordered the $$$ in the banana stand and Helles . I love craft beers but sometimes when they come out a dark brown I'm unsure if I will like it or not. The $$$ in the banana stand tasted lighter than it looked and had the perfect subtle banana taste. My brother got the Helles and enjoyed it as well. For our meals we got the Steak Bao Buns and the Hot Honey Chicken sandwich. We split our meals so that we could try both. Both were absolutely delicious. We both agreed we would come back and order the exact thing we did today. The waitresses were working hard. You saw them constantly on the move. We were impressed with the service and the overall experience. They were pretty busy with the Husker Men's basketball game on the TVs, but they were doing a great job keeping up. If you are thinking about trying it, just do it.

6:30 in the evening and outside food can't be ordered? Peek dinner hours, without the ability to order food was not expected.

Friday evening and the place was packed. Not really an appealing setup indoors, loud and rows of bare bones tables and chairs. The patio was very nice, if you are there on an evening the Nebraska weather allows the patio. We were, and enjoyed it. Beer was good. I had Red Ale and my companions sought "something like Blue Moon," which the bartender was able to recommend. Hot honey pepperoni pizza was very greasy but tasty. We saw a neighboring table use a napkin on top of the pizza before they ate, and we did that too. Service was friendly and fine, although the setup is a bit quirky. Food is separate from beer and ordering is done via a QR code, but you can order at the counter if you prefer. Would visit again, but not for a My Dinner With Andre conversation.

We have always found the beer to be perfectly cold and fresh. We prefer pale ales and (especially) Hazy IPAs. We love the pizza too. They have a fun selection. On this trip, we ordered The BDub which has hamburger, sausage, green peppers, and black olives. It was easy to drop the green peppers and add jalapeño on the ordering form. The pizza did not take long to prepare. It was hot, thin, crispy and delish! As for the setting, Heavy Brewing is very welcoming with plenty of seating. It's informal and set in an industrial building. It is kid friendly for sure, though there have been complaints in the past about kids running amok. The owners have addressed this and we appreciate it. Parents need to parent again.

The inside is very clean and simple - a nice, bright place to have a few drinks and chat with friends. The patio is great too when it's nice outside. All their brews are fabulous in my experience. My favorites are Great Plains Lager and the Cairns Pilsner (I am a fan of lighter beers if you couldn't tell). They have lots of different beer styles from Kölsches to Dunkels, and IPAs to Ales. So you'll definitely find something you like. They sell Kringles flavored pretzels for snacking on, or at least they did when I went last. Love those! Aside from that, they have food trucks that post up there as well, so definitely check their schedule to see who will be there when you want to go. For a local brewery, they have a pretty solid lineup of different brews, so I'd definitely check them out if you're in the Millard area!
