We are in a our 1st house and went with Ascent because that's what the previous owners had. We've never received anything from them explaining their services or what their prices are. We recently had to get a door chime reattached and were never told there was going to be a cost. As this is our first house, we had no idea what to expect but the first time they came to our house it was free. I assume when no one tells you that it will cost you anything that you don't have to pay anything. Anyway, the guy comes over and it takes his 3 minutes to reattach our door chime. I has proof of the three minutes on our ring doorbell. A few days later we get a bill for $100 and they won't do anything about the charge. On top of that, the email we got back was snotty and rude. Once this year is up we will be switching companies, I'd rather pay more for a security company who doesn't treat their customers like trash. Also once our alarm was going off for 5 minutes and we never received any calls from them asking us if we were okay. Glad it was a false alarm and not a murderer breaking in. read more
