We are in a our 1st house and went with Ascent because that's what the previous owners had. We've…read morenever received anything from them explaining their services or what their prices are. We recently had to get a door chime reattached and were never told there was going to be a cost. As this is our first house, we had no idea what to expect but the first time they came to our house it was free. I assume when no one tells you that it will cost you anything that you don't have to pay anything. Anyway, the guy comes over and it takes his 3 minutes to reattach our door chime. I has proof of the three minutes on our ring doorbell. A few days later we get a bill for $100 and they won't do anything about the charge. On top of that, the email we got back was snotty and rude. Once this year is up we will be switching companies, I'd rather pay more for a security company who doesn't treat their customers like trash. Also once our alarm was going off for 5 minutes and we never received any calls from them asking us if we were okay. Glad it was a false alarm and not a murderer breaking in.

Called and was informed that there will be an initial joining fee in excess of $100.00 unless we sign some 5-7 contract and agree to $750 in early term fees PLUS somehow force the next buyers to also contract with Guardian????????? Guardian may be fine for the wealthy who have no appetite for frugality but for the average it is simply a bad decision. Do yourself a huge favor. Try simplisafe.

We contacted Guardian and the new owners gave them their names, etc. why was it that I started getting calls about a monthly monitoring bill and clearly moved out & pail the fee cancellation fee? They started telling me things like they couldn't reach the new owens etc. Told me that they canceled their appt, etc. So... not my problem?? They still call me & I moved in JULY!! UPDATE!!! When time for the install arrive he was again on time, worked until the install was complete and made sure I was happy with the results.
