I bought vertical blinds for a large sliding living room door in 2016 for $518 at The Blind Factory and they were installed perfectly and are of high quality! I think these will last for 30 years! But they also replace a replacement slats at $10 each and metal clips that can fix a broken slat for only $1 each! The vertical blinds at Home Depot and Lowes are a piece of crap as I bought one and threw it out after one week of use! The Blind Factory also have friendly staff! The measurement and ordering process was smooth. However, as others have mentioned, I was quoted ~3 weeks for delivery. I ordered and paid my deposit on 6/18. We are now at 9/4. 11 weeks. Not once has the company called me to voluntarily update the timing as stated on the PO. I have called several times to understand if there are production delays with my order. Kevin, the owner, states every time that he will update me on timing shortly but still no update after 11 weeks. I am patient and want to support this small business but would appreciate transparency. read more

Joanie, the Sales Rep is great. She spent a considerable amount of time explaining the various options available to us for the large sliding glass door and the master and guest bedrooms. We chose the honeycomb block shades for master and are extremely pleased with the quality of the shades and the installation by two young professional men who were personable and accommodating. A competitor gave us a bid pushing for motorized closing and opening, very expensive and unnecessary from our perspective. read more

Our sales representative was prompt and courteous, helpful in educating us and helping with our blind selection. That's why this gets two stars. After taking half the money up front and promising our blinds would be in in 2-3 weeks, that was the last we heard from the company. It has now been 5 weeks and our blinds are still not in. They "hope" that the blinds will be in on Monday and installed on Wednesday so only twice the amount of time we were promised. My biggest issue is lack of communication. When they were unable to meet their obligations, support or our salesperson should have been on the phone to us. Not making us track them down and find out where out where/when we might possibly get them. I would not do business with them again. They have had over $1000 of our money for 6 weeks and we do not even have a firm install date. read more

YOU DON'T WANT TO GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY. I cannot express how disappointed I am in the service from The Blind Factory. The problem arose when I was told my order would arrive within 4-6 weeks and it took over 2 months. Once here to install, they discovered all my custom blinds were the wrong size, and told me they'd have to be shipped back to the factory to be cut down. I repeatedly got the run around on an ETA for that, and three weeks after the original install date, they still hadn't arrived back at the factory! I also asked if we could negotiate some kind of discount for the inconvenience, time and hassle this caused me. Again, I was blown off with vague emails about "checking with the owner," etc. Net-net, I got no answers and no reach out from the owner himself. Close to four months after my first order, the blinds finally arrived and Ben came to install them. Upon leaving, he offered a 3% discount off of my several-thousand-dollar order, which was quite frankly, a pittance. I called the owner, Kevin, and politely explained my disappointment, asking if we could find a more mutually agreeable arrangement. I was utterly appalled at his hostile and defensive response. He flat out refused, talked over me, insisted that I "got a good product" (which I had never disputed, again reiterating my disappointment in his communication and customer service), and told me I had to pay the bill in full, otherwise Ben would not leave my house. I stated that I wasn't comfortable with this solution, and Kevin replied with the threat of "taking all of my blinds down and seeing me in court." He then ended with "I'm done" and hung up on me. PROs: Installation team was efficient left space clean. CONs: Ordered items did not all match. Management came out to investigate on site and admitted products were mismatched, but blamed Chinese manufacturer. Their proposed resolution was either a $100 credit (their stated wholesale cost from China), OR wait another 8 weeks for replacement (16 weeks total from when order was placed). Tried to work with them to find equitable resolution, but they weren't interested in making it right. Hard to support a company that charges a crazy markup, but won't use this to ensure customer satisfaction. read more

The installation of my new blinds has been a nightmare. The initial installer miss measured and ending up drilling an extra set of 4 holes which he then patched at my request and now I have to paint. The cord to raise and lower the blinds caught the fabric and I pointed out the blinds were mounted with one side higher than the other and had to ask the installer to correct that. After the initial installation, the end caps on the valence keep falling off and we are on the third visit to re-attach one or more of them. read more

I ordered Cellular shades from The Blind Factory in August. The installation took place early in September. It was fast and problem free. The shades look wonderful! The consultant, Kathy W gave me excellent advice as for choosing the color of the shades.
