Stopped into to this little coffee shop and eatery on a recent steamy hot day. As I was traveling with my dogs I chose to sit outside on the small front porch. The service staff brought a bowl of water for the pups, and I had a delicious iced coffee. You know a place cares about coffee when the iced coffee is made with coffee ice cubes! I chose the breakfast burrito style wrap with bacon. It was very tasty! I'm definitely coming back to try some other menu options (nice looking salads and other sweet and savory choices). Absolutely, never coming back to this place!! Walked in at 11:08, got my food, in a box , which I didn't ask for, at 12:42. A omelette. Never!!! Watched two tables come in at least 20 minutes after I did and got their breakfast and left before I got my order which was only half complete. Received an apology because on Sundays it's busy due to music player. Still wondering how making an omelette that takes three minutes tops to cook is delayed by over an hour and a half because there was 6 tables. We had a lovely breakfast on a snowy February morning. I called to be sure they were open. Service was friendly and efficient. I could tell that they had some regulars coming in as they knew their names. What a great community feel! Food took a few minutes but was very good. The breakfast potatoes were some of the best we've ever had and I don't typically eat them! Fruit was fresh. Looking forward to more slow family breakfasts here! read more

for a place with the word "coffee" in the name, you'd figure there would be more than three canisters of it on a small table next to the cashier. The coffee was ok but nothing spectacular. But a "coffee mill" should have fresh hot coffee. They at least don't go in for that trend of sour bright coffee that is currently sweeping the state, so that's something. But the real problem was being told i'd have a half hour wait for PANCAKES because a large to-go order just came in. Really? no corner on the grill for a short stack of pancakes while grilling up the rest of the to go order? it wasn't eggs benedict i ordered, it was PANCAKES. i got the coffee and a scone instead. The place was far from packed on this Saturday morning and while i sat there for a half hour I noticed no cooking frenzy at the stove, no large order being picked up by anybody and in fact the woman behind the counter at the grill came over to another table to ask if everything was ok because he didn't finish his food. I've never run a kitchen in my life but am pretty sure a pancake order could have been squeezed in. I've never been told I couldn't have something I wanted at a restaurant before unless they were out of it. really nice decor, cozy setting but that experience while not the end of the world or anything really turned me off read more

Relaxing ambiance, good coffee and food, live music...what more are you seeking in a coffee house? I got the pumpkin latte and I was pleasantly surprised at the lack of sweetener in it! Way too often seasonal lattes are full of sweet artificial flavorings, but not here! I was able to taste the dairy base, quality espresso, and a hint of pumpkin with a quality foamed topping and cinnamon. I can't wait to go back and try the other seasonal offerings! My husband got a cold brew regular coffee and the ice cubes were coffee! Very nice tasting coffee with fun mason jars. The straws are environmentally friendly paper which I appreciate! As we sat enjoying some live music from a local artist we watched food come out for patrons and all looked fresh and made with care. We will be back for sure! read more

My 7 year old daughter and I came here on a whim and were so pleasantly surprised. She ordered a peach smoothie and a grilled cheese with tomato. I'm not sure why it took me so long to get here, but I'm sorry it did. I visited yesterday for breakfast and was immediately sold! The location is so convenient for me, and it almost feels like you're hanging out at someone's house. Its really cozy and clean inside. They feature local artwork and had an acoustic singer on from 11am-1pm. The menu isn't large, but there is enough variety that there is something for everyone. The breakfast burrito was great, as was my cappuccino. This is definitely somewhere where you can feel comfortable hanging out for a while. I can't wait to go back! read more

I've passed this little place for many years and never stopped in. I met a friend for lunch yesterday. We'll definitely meet there again. We both had what I think they called The Ultimate Grilled Cheese- Brie, bacon, apple and arugula. Simple and delicious. Not being a coffee drinker, I was pleased to see a nice assortment of teas. I was here when it used to be the deli. The new owners did a great job renovating. When you walk in, it's very comforting with couches and comfy chairs and coffee tables. Great floors and decor. Came here on a Sunday with my family. There were three other couples in there. Checked out the menu, asked the waitress a question, she didn't know the answer. Asked what the soup of the day was, she said they ran out (it was 1230pm). Ordered the Arabian Night sandwich. My wife got the Windmill Wrap. They didn't really have a kids menu, but we got them a grilled cheese. 10 minutes go by, waitress asks my wife what type of wrap she wants it on. 20 minutes go by, waitress tells me they are all out of Panko bread crumbs for my chicken. I change my order to a Daily Grind panini. We watch the first couples food go out, then 10 min later the seconds, then 10 min later the third, then 10 min ours. My panini was actually really good. Good bread and it was filling. My wife's wrap was average, it was served cold so the spinach wrap tasted kind of stale. Grilled cheese was good and iced coffee good. Overall we were in there little less than an hour for some basic sandwiches. I know they haven't been opened long but how do you not have what felt like so many things that are on the menu. No soup, no Panko bread crumbs?! They don't even spoil. Heard the waitress tell another table they were out of an item too. Overall I wanted to give the place more stars but just couldn't yet. We might go back in awhile when they get their operations in order. Would be a great place to drink a coffee, eat, and use the wifi. read more

Great spot for a passing cyclist. Was in the middle of a ride, not knowing where I was and saw a bunch of cyclists on the steps and said this must be a place to stop. Super clean place, great bathroom break stop. Killer iced coffee with coffee ice cubes. Had a chicken with bacon panini and a nice side salad. Very friendly woman working there. Dined here on Monday 5/9/2016 with my niece. I ordered the Sumatra sandwich, made of roast beef, spicy brown mustard, brie and roasted shallots. It was divine, truly delicious. We sat at the one table on the front porch. The traffic was a bit loud because it is 'Main Street' after all. Suggest maybe a side patio eventually. We ate our lunches then wanted to stroll the town a bit before coffee. We were ready to pay and come back but the woman helping us told us to go ahead and walk and just come back when we're ready. WHAT? I know business owners probably need to be cautious and suspicious, but she was genuine and trusted us to return, which we of course did, with a third person, my husband who joined us. We then ordered two coffees & and an iced coffee. Only after our drinks were served did we realize we had returned and ordered our coffees at 1:55, and they close at 2PM. They didn't let on in the least that we were keeping them. No hairy eyeball, no tapping foot. This place was wonderful. They were out of a number of items on the menu, but we had to wait over 45 minutes for our food. When we mentioned this the owner came out and told use we should come on a day when it was less busy and didn't expect to wait 45 minutes for our food. No apology. Basically, take it or leave it. Came in today and ordered two sandwiches. We were told there was a wait, which was fine. However, an hour is a little absurd to wait for two sandwiches. They were apparently filling a catering order during this time. They need to reconsider their ability to fill catering orders or reevaluate how they run their business because they were clearly very disorganized during our wait time. We ordered to go and we were offered silverware three times because they forgot. Additionally, a couple who came in 20 minutes after us received their food prior to my husband and I and a couple who had already been waiting there prior to us. It was our first time so we were not sure what to expect. After waiting an hour the sandwiches were just so-so. We will not return. read more

ACM needs some more time to get more efficient. Waited around.one hour for breakfast today. The medium coffees were about 80% full and needed to be hotter. No warm-up were offered and when we asked for another cup of coffee we were told we would have to pay. Not used to paying for each cup of coffee with breakfast. The toast came dry and no butter was offered. My.wife didn't get bacon on her bacon egg and cheese sandwich. We hope they get better.soon. read more

SO wanted to love this place. We are completely aware that this is a new place and there will be "kinks" to work out. For starters, the door handle gave everyone a hard time entering; almost like it was locked until you really pushed down hard on it. It was a sign we should have left. My wife and daughter and I were looking forward to an awesome cup of coffee and maybe sitting down to enjoy one another's company. Not a busy setting with 3 folks at one table... Cute place, nice decor, bright and clean. As we walked in, there was no greeting whatsoever from the staff. They didn't even raise their heads to acknowledge us. The cook was at the stove and what appeared to be the woman in charge was working back to back with the cook but facing us. We stood there facing the counter for a full couple of minutes until finally the woman asks "Will you be eating in or taking out?" No smile, no good morning, no hello, no warm friendly nothing. Strike one. She finally came over to the cashier counter and asked what we wanted. Two hot coffees and an iced coffee. Still no greeting, no smile, no personality. She wasn't acting angry or hostile or even perturbed, just blah. Pay first, no thank you upon payment. $7.22. Not chump change. She doesn't even make eye contact. She proceeds to walk across the width of the building where the coffee cups are -- totally across the entire room from the coffee station. She first "prepares" the iced coffee which consisted of putting ice in the cup with some sugar and filling it at the coffee station. Ok, so she's not a barista. Then she walks back over to the other side of the room to get the hot coffee cups, hands them to us and points towards the coffee station. The coffee station offers 3 kinds of coffee, but it's a small table and rather crowded with the creamer jugs; Bad logistics with the creamers directly in front of the coffee dispensers; you had to move the creamer out of the way to get your cup under there to fill. You also had the sweeteners in the way, and there was no place to put down your cup. It was difficult. The one coffee dispenser was empty and the woman announced that there was coffee brewing and would be ready in a minute. No problem. In the meantime, my wife goes for the half and half and there isn't enough for her coffee; she then moves to the whole milk and it's empty. My wife took both creamer containers and placed them on the cashier table and told the woman they were both empty. Got a nod and and "okay". No I'm sorry.... then she took care of the next customer before taking her time filling the creamers. At this point we're really ready to get out of there. In the meantime, a few more people walked in behind us waiting for coffee. The coffee station is seriously in a very bad place logistically. There's no room for more than one at a time and here we were three and three more waiting. They all had to move out of our way to exit the coffee station area. It was not conducive whatsoever to a flow of making and getting your coffee and walking back into the dining area. How's the coffee? Nothing spectacular, but had the atmosphere been humanly welcoming, it might have made the difference. The general attitude did not create a pleasant place to hang out. If you're in a huge hurry, don't go here for coffee. And, I encourage you to read all the reviews - wish we had. Continue like this and they won't last out the year. read more

From the outside, a very cute & quaint little place at a country crossroads, that reminds one of the old general store that you would see on a rerun of Little House on the Prairie, from the good old days. Once you get inside, the staff is helpful & friendly, however, they need to stock more locally produced items that visitors are, like us, looking to pickup while on vacation, & stay away from looking, on the inside, like a tiny 7-elevn. This it's one of the coziest places to go to for breakfast or on Friday or Saturday nights when they are doing something special. I really haven't had the pleasure of going there for lunch. I feel as good as food can be, if there is no atmosphere, I don't know if I would even go back. In this case the food and atmosphere are good. The scones are SO fresh, you can taste the freshly grated lemon zest - they are so tender and delicious! The homemade crumb cake can't be matched. Nice place to come for breakfast or lunch. The food is delicious. Their scones are especially good. You can sit at a table or on a sofa or armchair, hang out, drink coffee, and use wifi until 2 p.m., when they close. I also like coming here for Sunday brunch, when they have local musicians performing--usually a solo act. About the only down side: Sometimes the service is a little slow. Also, it would be nice if they had brewed iced tea in the summer (or better yet, year-round). read more

A side order to our breakfast came after our breakfast was finished. Not a problem for us -- it was fresh, hot, and we ate it. But it wasn't that busy to warrant the delay in serving that one side order. All new places need to work out the kinks. Either way, the lunch menu looks very interesting, and we plan to go back!!! The renovations are excellent. Very cozy place with choice of dining tables (that look like they are made of pumpkin pine) or you can sit in one of their comfortable sitting areas on soft chairs or a sofa. ACM was much needed in Asbury. If you've been here before at the previous deli you won't recognize the place. Very nice and comfortable now. Been here several times both for breakfast and lunch. Even though they are new and trying to get the kinks out we really have not experienced the wait times or service issues like others have wrote. Food has been very tasty. My personal faves are the kale salad and the chicken sandwich with pesto. Coffee is very good...Dead Man's Brew is spot on. Give them a chance, they're new. and working hard to get it right. read more
