This company with the generic sounding name is anything but generic. They're smart, honest, they remember you when you come in. They offer ways to save money but never compromise on the right advice. We just bought a home with a 20 year old pool in Fair Condition, but not better. We're experiencing all kinds of issues and they've been patient and thoughtful in their education and advice on each issue we've had. They're not just out to sell us thousands of dollars of stuff. It can be really daunting to take over a pool from someone else. You can only guess how carefully or neglecting they were, even if you get a top notch pool inspection beforehand. I can't express enough how great Discount Pools has been. Ask for Tommy, but also the others working there are excellent too. We appreciate ya'll.

He said he would if I agreed to pay him for another service (cartridge cleaning). He then returned without warning in the pouring rain. His demeanor was very off. Recommended getting new filters when though I personally did a deep cleaning that worked and saved me hundreds of dollars.

I spent a significant amount of money with S&R Pool on a complete pool renovation: a new liner,…read moreslide, stamped concrete, and more. The cost isn't my issue. My issue is the quality of the work and how problems have been handled. Most recently, part of the brand-new liner detached from the track only three years after installation. S&R Pool came out to inspect the pool themselves, yet they immediately tried to blame the water level being too low. That explanation makes no sense. They closed the pool themselves, and the water level at closing was just below the skimmer. When the pool was opened, the water level was at the skimmer. I've lived in my home for 11 years. For the first 8 years, I had an older liner and never once had it come off the track. Then, only 3 years after S&R installed a brand-new liner, it suddenly detaches. That's not a coincidence. That's poor workmanship. Unfortunately, this isn't the first issue I've had with them. During the renovation, my sprinkler system was destroyed. It was basically brushed aside as collateral damage, and I ended up paying thousands of dollars out of pocket to repair the lawn and restore the damaged areas. Then, two winters ago, I paid to have my pool filter acid washed. When I opened the pool, it was obvious the filter had not been cleaned at all. I ended up cleaning it myself. To their credit, they did provide a credit for the service, but it was still disappointing to pay for work that was never done. What frustrates me most is the lack of accountability. Instead of standing behind their work on a liner that is only three years old, they blamed the customer and their solution was to replace the entire liner at a cost of thousands of dollars. A liner that they installed just three years ago should not be failing like this, and suggesting a complete replacement rather than taking responsibility is unacceptable. I've tried to overlook the previous issues, but this liner problem is the last straw. If something goes wrong, I expect a company to stand behind its work and work toward a fair solution. Unfortunately, that hasn't been my experience with S&R Pool. Based on the repeated issues and how they've been handled, I won't be doing business with them again, and I would caution others to think carefully before hiring them.

About two months later, disaster struck 5 days before my son's graduation party - we were expecting 120+ people on a 97 degree Sunday! My filter finally wore out and DE was in my pool causing a cloudy mess. Julie in the office is always great to work with and Brian was terrific! He sourced a new filter and on the same day was at my house installing it at almost 9pm to be sure I was in good shape for the party. Very unhappy with this company. We contracted for a pool in 2020. It's 2024 and our pool still…read morehasn't passed inspection. The inspector states it's not up to code with electrical and plumbing. When we called they first said that they did the electrical not up to code "because the township usually doesn't bother checking that." Now the plumbing is still not up to code and we haven't heard back. Hot tub still doesn't work right. And half the time when we turn the pool heater on it trips the circuit breakers. Every time we had an issue Brian would try to pretend it was us. While the pool was being installed they set the valves wrong and it emptied our hot tub by mistake. We called to notify Brian and he kept saying "well, don't mess with the valves!" But, we hadn't. They had messed it up themselves. I have given up having a proper running hot tub. But I would like to have a pool that can pass inspection!

The workers themselves removed extra foliage, regraded, reseeded and left a tremendously improved yard after working very long days, everyone involved went over and above.
