I moved to Seattle about 9 months ago, but before that I worked just down the street from Asada. I can't even begin to describe how much I love this place. I'd go for lunch at least once a week, but usually a couple times a week. The service is always incredibly friendly and they really do a good job of knowing their regulars. You get a lot for what you pay for. And the food is always, always so good! The aside tacos are my favorite, drenched in the spicy red sauce, but I love the rice and beans and the aside burritos as well. My sister always gets the chicken tacos and loves it too. Being in Seattle now, I still dream about their tacos. Whenever I'm back home visiting family, I make a point to stop in a few times during my trip. Now that they have a second location closer to my family's house, we typically go there. Try this place... you won't regret it! read more

My favourite spot to get a burrito from! It's a nice little hole in the wall place right off the freeway. It's tiny but has such a classic feeling to it, and the owner and his workers are very nice and friendly people. I always order an asada burrito with their hottest salsa and it never disappoints. Their meat is always rich in flavour and never dry, the rice and beans are cooked and salted to perfection, and the salsas are all bursting with flavour with the perfect amount of heat for each one! The tortillas are amazing as well, nice and flaky, perfectly made and just overall great. It's a little far for some, but definitely worth it. Their new location is just a great as well, so that's another option that may be closer for others, but that deserves its own review. Highly recommend going, even if it's a little out of your way. Super pricey for mediocre tacos. There are TONS of better, cheaper options around town that I'd choose over Asada grill, but we go for the convenience since it's the only taco place around our house. We've been a few times and every time we've gone the asada meat is dry. I try to mask the dryness with the salsas they have and that sort of helps. I do like the carnitas. Good flavor. Their chile verde also has good flavor! I'll have to give this place a try during lunch hours. Maybe then we can get some good asada? My buddy showed me this place a little over a month ago...(I've been here 10 times since then) Haven't had a torta since I was a kid, me and my buddy went in and I ordered a torta, IT WAS ON AND CRACKIN few days go by and I catch myself at the mall craving a torta, I'm like okay I'll hit up so-cal Tamalthey didnt have asada...and I'm not about to eat their pastor, tasted like chorizo, so any way, I catch myself craving a torta on a sunday, so i hit up vatos tacos....nope....not even close. I would give the Taco's here maybe 4 stars if I compared to my 5 stars Fav. If I come back to Asada Grill it would be for their Carnitas Combo plate. I would choose whole beans rather than their RF Beans. Gauc here is bland tho chunky. I would rate Asada Grill 3.75 stars. Asada Grill is a small taqueria type restaurant located north of Bakersfield in an unexciting part of town, surrounded by a few strip malls and gas stations. I'm always in search of the greatest breakfast burrito on the planet, so in reading Yelp reviews, I had to try this place out. They offer a few variations of the same thing here -- I opted for the "mixed" breakfast burrito (thinking it was a variety of meats) along w/ eggs and hash browns. After cooking the base of the burrito on the grill (eggs, meat, potatoes), they offer a Chipotle style concept in which you can add beans, cheese, pico de gallo, extra salsa, etc. Being the ravished man I usually am at 10 am, I asked for something of everything to be added. What resulted was something the size of a football. I took my burrito back to the table and realized she went a little heavy on the refried beans. If you do that, the burrito loses it's consistency and you feel like you're changing a baby's diaper instead of having breakfast....... The meat seemed a little like........ mystery meat. Good bacon is tantamount to a world-class breakfast burrito. The bacon/sausage mixture seemed a little off or not quite fresh -- almost like cat meat. The one thing that struck me was, when I placed my order over the phone. Note: I've never been there. They didn't ask my name at all. Now some would think that that's a bad thing. Better than the barn. Let's start with that. The barn is made to move volumes, while this place is slower but they freshly prep it for you here, especially at 5am. When I ordered my bacon breakfast burrito at 5am, there were 3 more people waiting to order. Now on to the food, everything is great because it is fresh with the exception of the bacon. I tend to like my bacon crispy and not chewy. A good example of the crispness that I love is the burrito from Fabulous Burger. Maybe next time I will ask the cook, Mario, to cook the bacon a little longer. They accept credit cards, mine for some reason takes like 3 swipes. They are still finishing the construction, so the interior is a little vanilla still, but it's clean! So they will serve beer, they have the taps in place. Good food for cheap prices. This is by far the best asada fries in town. I have tried several other places that serve asada fries, and this lace has them beat by a long shot. I personally love them so much because of the beans being added and most importantly the seasoning is perfect in the fries. oh btw they're crinkle cut, even better! I am always on the hunt for flavorful Mexican food at a great price. I came across this place on yelp a few months ago and my timing has always been off, but today we stopped for an early dinner and really enjoyed our meal. We ordered the #3 combo. I asked to see their Chile Verde and they kindly offered me a sample which was really good. I shared a taste with my husband who normally settles for carne asada, but he too wanted the Chile Verde plate which comes with beans and rice and three tortillas. I ordered the pot beans with mine meal and they also had great flavor. We ordered a side of chips and guacamole. The chips were great but the guacamole got lost with I think mayo they added. My husband and I were craving authentic Mexican food. So we landed here. My husband ordered his usual, Tacos. I ordered the carne asada fries. Everything started great. I was about 3 bites in when I notice a nice long pube looking hair I walked up to the girls at the register and told them and I got a couple of blank stares.....(crickets)......so finally one girl walks out to the back then walks back to me and takes my fries and says they will make me a new order. I wait. Finally as my husband finishes his tacos I get my order (pube hair free!!) Well while we are sitting there trying to eat we notice not one of these girls made us feel welcome.
