First time here. This is a small Mexican food restaurant in a small strip mall. The young lady at the counter was really nice and friendly. The restaurant is clean. I decided to do takeout and bring the food back to my hotel. The Chicken Taco is very good and so is the Chicken Enchilada. The Refried Beans and Spanish Rice are also very tasty. Plenty of food for a great meal! I will definitely return when I staying in the area. read more

The best breakfast burrito in Kern County!!! Asada Grill is not your typical tacos burrito shop. This place uses the highest quality meats and toppings to add to any of your meals. The service is always on point and the amount and quality of food they give is like no other place you will find. That red salsa is always the best and has the perfect hint of heat that keeps you coming back for more. Also in my opinion they have the best Pina drink as well. The food, pretty darn GOOD!! We got burritos and tacos. Burrito( asada) tacos(carnitas). Their salsas are yum. Delicious for a joint like this in Bakersfield by hwy 65 next to Chevron. Service, A1! Great employees. Sabrina at the front and her coworkers are awesome! I will definitely come back with my family to eat here! Sorry that there is no picture of our orders, but we were too hungry. The food here is absolutely delicious! The menu is simple but has a good variety of breakfast and lunch/dinner items. It's good they open early as well since they are close to a very high traffic area for people passing through and looking for a good meal. The staff is incredibly friendly, and they do a great job of preparing the food! I'd highly recommend Asada Grill, they have really stepped up their game! read more

What a great spot for a quality lunch at a reasonable price. Nothing fancy, order at the county. But the quality of the meat, spices, quantity all added up to a great meal and a place that will be on our return list. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. read more

Called in a order to pick up on 05/7/2026 like i do at least once a week. Called in my order at 1:30pm . Arrived at 1:55pm . Walked in no customers inside 2 young employees behind the counter one male one female. Told them I had a phone order. The young man who im almost positive took my order asked my name and what I ordered. I told him he looks around confused cant find it then says oh I forgot to make it ,give me a few minutes. I didn't have a few minutes as I was on my way to work. Thats why I called it in . I have done this many times and showed up with the restaurant busy and they have always had my order ready. No customers this time employees I've never seen before and they cant crank out one burrito in 25 min . Now I am at work with no food . Will not come back to asada grill ever again. Thats why the 1 star review. Food is mid level anyway but it was convenient on my way to work and got the job done . Definitely can't slack on customer service when food is mid . read more

Medium sized "hole in wall" type of establishment, has a Chipotle like set up with how the food is ordered and assembled.. A cafeteria line, food in hot containers, salsa and toppings in chilled containers, meat grilled fresh upon each order. Only thing we didn't like about this was the beans and rice where not covered and of course there was a fly hovering around and landing near the food, did not see the fly actually land on the food, but still, the container lids were right there! How hard is it to cover the food!?! But i must say the food was excellent! I got the chicken taco combo plate, my husband the asada fries and my mom the chicken burrito. We all really enjoyed each bite! Good flavors, tender chicken & asada & everything was fresh tasting. Rice was tender and fluffy and the refried beans had a perfect flavor and texture. (5 stars for the taste) A little pricey though, 36$ for 3 meals and 3 drinks. The older yelp menu price pictures are wrong, they upped the prices on most menu items.. ( I posted images of updated menu prices ) They got real busy early lunch hours on a Friday, and during the assembly process left my moms burrito sitting open on the assembly line, unattended for a few mins, which was kind of a turn off.. They had fresh fresca too! Check out the lemon cucumber fresca's, super refreshing. 4 stars overall. Minus one star for the uncovered food and being a bit to pricy for the type of establishment they are. I'd come back though because the food was spot on. read more

Ok, I've been meaning to review this place for a long time and I can't hold off any longer. Hubby and I were in town and feeling very indecisive about where to eat, so of course we defer to yelp. After looking over probably a dozen places, we decided to try Asada Grill. It was very close to the hotel we were at and seemed to have great reviews. Well, even after reading lots of 5 star reviews, we were not expecting the food to be so phenomenal! Everything was fresh and delicious, the portions were generous, and the service was friendly. We were definitely blown away by the happy surprise. Everything is made fresh to order as you watch like a Chipotle or a Subway. My quesadilla was thick and full of chicken and onions, just how I wanted it. The chips and salsa were a perfect complement, equally fresh and satisfying. And to top it off, the whole restaurant was nice and clean. Would definitely return the next time I'm in Bakersfield. read more

Good food here, the asada has a great taste to it, and always ask for a "chile torado" the best one I've had and I'm Mexican. I'm certain that the oilfield guys think is a good place to get takeout, it's close to us here at Kernfront and the River. Great customer service too. I'm disappointed to rewrite this review, but this place has seriously gone downhill since the other location started gaining business. I used to literally drive across town to eat here, but after tonight, I wont be back. There were dead cockroaches on the floor in the dining area (I think they saw me take a picture because they ran over and swept it up real quick). ‍ The rice was watery, the pico was just onions, and the meat tasted like it had been sitting out for a long while. The bowl ended up being very uninspiring and, honestly, I put the lid on half way through because I just couldn't keep eating. What really irked me the most, though, was that they waited until I got to the end of building my bowl to tell me that they didn't have guac. Now, this sounds petty, but hear me out. The next lady in line - directly behind me - asked for guac WHILE I WAS STILL STANDING THERE because they were making my husbands burrito and they went to the back and got her some! I dont know what the deal was, but the whole experience was lousy. read more

Not for sure what all those 5 star reviews are for, it is plain when it compares to some of our local places. Staff is friendly, place was clean, a little over priced. I ordered an asada bowl, although it was all hot is was kinda on the plain side of the taste realm. Defiantly not a fan of the asada/gristle. read more

First off if i could give this place 10 stars i would! This place has great food! Everything i have tried so far is amazing. I work close by so i literally eat here 3-5 times a week. Almost every day they're open. All the workers are super nice and owner. Very nice inside also and burritos are huge and i think everything is more than fairly priced! read more

We looked up this place on Yelp as it had great reviews. We were passing through Bakersfield on our way to LA and in the mood for a great breakfast burrito. My husband got a breakfast torta, I got a bacon, egg, bean, hash brown, grilled onion burrito. Everything was sooooo delicious!!! Green salsa was tasty. Horchata was not too sweet and was delicious! So, I really loved their chorizo breakfast burritos the first few times I got them, but today we got 2 of them and both literally was full of refried beams and rice and specks of chorizo. I drive by this place twice a week on my way to my sons soccer practice. I finally stopped in for lunch and was not disappointed. The inside is a nice place to dine in with TVs and a salsa bar. I got the combination #1 which is 3 tacos with your choice of meat, beans and rice. I got 2 asada and 1 chicken taco, refried beans and rice. The pico is mostly onions so I added extra tomato. I got a scoop of guacamole for an extra $1.50. My total came out to $11.08 with a drink. My only complaint is the that it was a little greasy. Other than that it was delicious. Everything was packed with flavor, the meat was juicy (not dry at all), and the salsas absolutely stole the show. On top of that, the staff really made the experience stand out. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and kept checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Great food, great music (nothing but bangers the whole time), and amazing service. I ordered the chicken enchiladas and they were fire. The sauce was flavorful, the chicken was juicy, and the rice and beans on the side hit the spot. Everything tasted super fresh and homemade.
