Since moving to their new location care has steadily declined. I was encouraged to replace an old crown that they told me was "breaking down" so I did that and trusted them. I paid thousands of dollars even with dental insurance. The next week after the crown was installed I had excruciating pain and had to receive a root canal. Important to remember I was having ZERO issues with this tooth. Just listened to them and updated an old crown to be proactive. Additionally I just needed a new crown went in and had it done and it was a completely different color than all my other teeth and as round as a ball. Went in for 2.5 hrs to replace it and now it hurts to chew on. Had to beg them to warranty their work and replace the crown that didn't match my teeth. I can't truth them or their work. Hard to get someone to answer the phone or call you back anymore. They have a call center now and those people are not helpful at all. Let's see if they will adjust this crown and how long that will take. read more

initially appointments, surgery & surgery follow up was excellent. when first final set was placed it was extremely painful when screwing it down. was told the pain would go away after a while & that it was because finals fit tighter. from that point was told they'd call in a wk to check, didn't happen. finally went back in month later, 3/2, said bite was good & that this time she would call in a week to check & decide what to do next. no call. called in 4/29, put on hold then sent to some unnamed voice mail.called bqck 5/5 told i wanted to see the dr that i'm tired of ache & feeling that it doesn't fit right. due to all my rides being gone 5/22-6/10 she said 1st appt was 6/17. called in 5/15 to see if they would refill thrush meds & antibiotics since it is feeling like it did previously. was told she would check with Dr Bennett & call me back by 4 that day. no calls or messages(don't answer calls without name....too much spam) everyone's always very nice but follow up leaves me feeling ignored would really like to eat more than soft food read more

Highly recommend!!! I've had a few visits at this office so far and I am blown away by the friendliness, professionalism and quality of care! I've had several bad experiences at other medical and dental offices, so it was refreshing to feel like I matter. I felt really comfortable with Dr. MacAninley and her recommend treatment. I really enjoyed discussing my treatment options and Invisalign stuff with Tailor. She explained everything in full detail and offered financing options. She was very patient with me even when I took up a lot of her time. Upon leaving, it was nice that all the staff was saying "bye" and "see you soon" not just to me but everyone. They get you in and out fast for crown work, they make it in house, had two done and they SUCK, one has an opening between the tooth which is sensitive when cold drink hits it, the other is my front tooth that grinds on the bottom tooth, they shaved it before their one year warranty was up to prevent the grinding and pain when I chewed from it hitting the bottom tooth, now it is rounded heavily on one corner!!! So Ms. Arnold (not deserving of Dr) did a number on my teeth, which now I doubt was necessary. From swelling my jaw up to grinding adjacent teeth to make her awful crown fit poorly, she destroyed my teeth. I have constant pain and sinus issues. She should not be practicing. All she could say while doing this awful work was "not my fault". Terrible dentist and worse human being. Sorry neighbors but you all really. This is one of the most money hungry dentist offices I have ever been to. I barely had 1 foot in the door and they are up selling me. I get that dentists need to do more than cleanings to make it, but show me you care before racking up the bills. My first visit, they want me to pay out of pocket for extra X-rays and cancer scans. They quickly put together a "treatment plan" for thousands and never even do my cleaning. I schedule that and they say it's 4 months out. I say I will go back to my old dentist and suddenly they have a spot the next day. I go in front r a cleaning and they add a fluoride seal which they charge my out of pocket. Not only will I go elsewhere (too bad they used up my annual x-rays) but I can't get my work done for another year. I highly encourage going elsewhere. Nothing I hate more than a shady business that lacks integrity. read more

BEST DENTIST EVER! Dr. Timmerman saw me for a chipped front tooth and got me fixed up the same day. I couldnt believe it. I had heard about all the great technology at this office and was still blown away. They have a new machine that allows them to make crowns the same day. Dr. Timmerman custom stained my tooth right there and it blends in so naturally. For such a big guy he had the most delicate hands. I am really impressed by this office and so thankful for them working me in when I needed them the most. read more

However, Arvada Dental Center honestly provided me with the absolute BEST experience, even better than you would expect from a Dental office. The facility is very clean, bright, and inviting. The technology is top notch, and my appointments ran on time and were efficient and thorough. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. This includes the receptionist, assistant hygienist, hygienist, dentist, and the billing associate. Every person I spoke to was very friendly, knowledgeable, and reassuring. They were able to explain everything to me in layman's terms, from my dental work to the bill and estimates. I've never been great about going to the dentist on a regular basis, but I feel encouraged to keep up with my dental health after my first visit here! read more

Correction: I mistakenly wrote that the tooth in question was filled by ADC, but it was not... it was filled by my previous dentist and so is many years old, not six months. Most importantly, the update: the second opinion did not recommend another filing, and concurred with the ADC diagnosis that a crown is required. I realize getting a second opinion isn't commonplace anymore, but seemed warranted due the expense of the procedure... but of course ADC got it right! read more

This was an eye-opening experience for me. I went here after seeing the same dentist for 12 years. I have always been cavity prone so I wasn't in shock when I had a cavity. What I was in shock about was when they said I needed a crown. It was a very "used car salesman" like pitch where they had sample crowns to show, a finance person to talk to go over my insurance options, a scheduled appointment and then when I said I was going for a second opinion a call to say they magically had an opening and could get me in that afternoon. I had them send over the xrays they took to three (3) different dental offices. I have been to two of the three, the third one is next month. Those two dental offices said that I do NOT need a crown on that tooth and in fact would recommend no work on that particular tooth. The other work they recommended (the removal/replacement of a filling) these two dentists again agreed that was not needed. I went into both the 2nd and 3rd opinion offices with a look at my mouth and tell me what you think of my overall mouth. They both disagreed with the dentist from the Arvada Dental Center and they both agreed with each other. After I explained what had been said to me from Arvada Dental Center, one of the dentists said this really sounds like the work we hear coming out of Arvada Modern Dentistry. Sure enough, the dentist I saw used to work there. I wasn't sure that I had been scammed until I went to the 3rd office and heard the exact same recommendations as the 2nd office. Colorado offers a peer review board for complaints regarding quality of care and/or appropriateness of treatment. Thankfully, I didn't let them touch my mouth. If you go here, before you sign the line and let them take your teeth, I would get a 2nd, 3rd, etc. opinion, because you could save your smile for years to come. read more

I have been coming here for about 18 months. I have a fairly boring mouth in terms of dental issues. Prior to this, I was with my former dentist for a very long time; more than 20 years. I was very sad when he retired. The pros: The dental office is bright and cheery, they have the latest technology. The hygienists and front desk are extra friendly. Their reminders are helpful, website is great, billing is smooth and straightforward with my insurance. The cons: Every appointment I've had has been late in starting, late in finishing. Last time, I sat in the chair for nearly an hour while they treated other patients. This after a fairly lengthy wait in the waiting room first! My time is valuable too--makes it hard for me to schedule appointments at my own office when my 2:00 dental appointment might not even be really starting until 3:00. Also, this may bother me more than it does other people, but every time I've been there, Dr. Bennett has reprimanded the hygienists for various shortcomings in front of me; literally over my head. In a tone that my mother would have called "snotty" back in the day. It is really awkward to be sitting there while someone is scolding their staff within inches of your face. I don't know if I've just coincidentally been there on "off" days, but to me, calling out your staff on their failures in front of your customers is embarrassing and unprofessional. Overall, they seem very competent in terms of dental work. Maybe just a little fine tuning on the chairside manner ;) read more

I hadn't been to a dentist since I was living in the Islands, like, 3 years ago. So my mouth was getting kinda unclean and stinky with plaque build up. I used my dental insurance's website to find a dentist near my home that could take me pretty quickly. Enter Arvada Dental Center. Now, I'm not a nervous dental patient, so read all of this with that in mind. My first appointment was just a "get to know my mouth" kind of appointment. They took X-rays, pictures of my teeth and mouth, socket measurements, and generally got me set up as a patient so they knew what they were in for with my cleaning. I was impressed with their use of technology and the fact that they keep a pretty much paper free office. Each chair area has it's own TV that you can watch programs on while you wait for the Hygenist or the Dentist, and then when you're on your back, they use the monitors to look at your X-rays or your patient history. It's pretty nice. My cleaning had to be pretty deep, but I was never uncomfortable in the chair as I was poked and scraped. And when I had to have some fillings replaced and put in, I never felt any pain from the Novacaine injection. They worked fast and got me on my way with fillings that I can hardly tell are even there. Another great thing is that they work around your schedule. Are afternoons better for you? They'll ask and schedule your appointments for whenever you can make it. And if they have an opening earlier than your scheduled appointment, they will call and offer it up. It's been just over 5 years since I was at the Dentist, and figured it was finally time to have my terrible mouth looked at again. I asked around and had heard that this place had worked with many of my coworkers, and they hadn't had any issues since having work done there, so I decided this was my best bet for getting quality work done. I called to schedule the appointment and they were very cooperative in working to find a date & time that fit with me. When I did show up, I didn't wait long, and the staff was very friendly and informative. The dental hygienist who looked at my mouth was very nice and explained to me what she was doing and why the whole time, which helped me understand the processes as a whole, and also probably put me at ease. The doctor was also very informative when he came in and looked at my teeth and gums, and really took the time to explain what condition my mouth was in. I felt like he gave me an excellent picture of my mouth, and told me areas where I could stand to improve, and some concerns of his for the future. Then the same dentist took the time to sit down and work with me to find a plan of action that would take care of everything, as well as any concerns I had. I walked out feeling very informed, and knew what my next steps were, along with costs, insurance information, and future dates. I feel alot better about my mouth now that I've got a dentist I trust to take care of it. As far as the quality of the work, I'm very satisfied with it. Never had any issues with my teeth once they were taken care of, and am now on a 6 month visit schedule which I would describe as a type of 'preventative maintenance' plan to keep from falling back into the same rut. Continued teeth cleaning, and examinations should keep me from being frustrated again in the future. read more

Hooray! I've finally found a place that my teeth can call home. It had been a couple years since I had been to a dentist. After a search in my insurance database and with some help from our wonderful yelp community, I was confident that Arvada Dental Center was going to be exactly what I was looking for. And it is! First of all, the ladies at the front desk are terrific. They made it so easy to get an appointment set up, verify my insurance, go over medical history, etc. I love that you can complete all of your new patient forms online before the appointment. Who doesn't like to save a little time? My first appointment was all about assessing the condition of my mouth, getting xrays done, etc.. They really do a thorough job. I didn't feel rushed and I was encouraged to ask any questions along the way. After missing the dentist for so long, I appreciated the fact that they educated me on the condition of my teeth, but didn't give a lecture. We went through the procedures and things that needed to be done. They set up my next appointments in order of urgency, that way I knew what needed to get done now and in the future. The waiting room and the patient rooms are very comfortable and have a nice warm feeling to them. I love the tv's in the patient rooms. It's nice to watch the morning news, ESPN or any channel you like while you get your teeth worked on. Last, but certainly not least, the dentists are so so great here. I have had my past few appointments with Dr. Pearson and have yet to meet Dr. Bennett, but I've heard great things about him as well. Dr. Pearson is super nice, gentle, informative and laid back. More than anything, I appreciated the check up calls he gave me after my icky root canal procedure. He's left me confident in knowing that I'm always going to be well taken care of at ADC. Under my name, you'll see that I live in Aurora. That is not a misprint. I drive across town from southeast Aurora to way-north Arvada to go to Arvada Dental Center. They. Are. That. Good. I have been using them for years. I have never met a dentist and staff who are kinder, more compassionate, or more knowledgeable than this crew. A few highlights: --Dr. Bennett fixed my "snaggle tooth," an ill-fitting crown that threw my whole face out of whack and gave me plenty to be self-conscious about. He is an amazing cosmetic dentist! --Because the whole snaggle tooth fix was a very expensive set of procedures, he laid out a care plan and exact dollar amounts before he started, giving me time to secure the money rather than surprising me with a bill. --Did you know that dental anesthetic contains epinephrine? It's used to control bleeding. But, because it's a SHOT OF ADRENALINE, it can sometimes have systemic effects: Elevated heart rate, sweating, rapid breathing, and the urge to exit the office by going *through* the dentist if need be. That happened to me...even the attempted dramatic exit. The dentist calmly explained to me that the epi in the anesthetic was causing a systemic reaction, and that he'd let me chill out for a few minutes. When he came back, he was very gentle and deliberate and explained exactly what he was doing and what I'd feel. --I take my six-year-old daughter here. They are GREAT with kids. They don't have any of the bells and whistles normally associated with "kids" dentists, but that's okay. They don't need them. Dr. Bennett and Jamie (the wonder hygienist, and my daughter's new BFF) know how to talk to kids, how to do dental work on kids, and what a kid's mouth should look like at each stage of development (give or take a few months, because they recognize that all kids are different). I am so, so glad I found this place. read more
