Had a consultation for my daughter to have her wisdom teeth removed, made an appt and showed up on the day/time scheduled. At that time was informed that they cancelled our appt but forgot to call us. They offered several days for a reschedule but nothing that fit my daughters school schedule and my work schedule. The time/day were made based on many factors. Called when I got home to cancel the rescheduled appt and asked for my deposit back. They stated that deposits were non-refundable. After much back and forth they processed the refund. I found the reaction to their error to be very unacceptable and they did not try to make any accommodations for this situation. read more

I was terrified to have my wisdom teeth removed and put it off for years (just like this review). However, they made me feel very comfortable and the procedure was a breeze. Unfortunately, I don't think he is there anymore, so this review might be completely irrelevant now, but Dr. Waggoner was absolutely amazing and a joy to work with. He even came in the day before Thanksgiving when they were closed to treat me to help the healing process. My only complaint was that I got dry sockets (not their fault) right after I ran out of meds and they would not prescribe me more medicine. Just kinda left me to be in excruciating pain for a while. Like I get that opioids are over prescribed and addicting but for situations that really call for them I don't think there should be a hesitation to prescribe a couple more days of pills. That part really sucked and still irks me to this day (that was like 5 years ago lol) but everything else was great and this was a long overdue review. read more

Three months after the initial appointment, I get a bill for $40. This is after they provided a detailed price breakdown of $864. Furthermore, this bill was mailed on the 19th. I received it on the 21st and it already says it is past due. Then, the Doctor at the practice says he does not think we should have a provider-patient relationship due to language I used on my voicemail. There was not any profanity. I just said what they did regarding the extra $40 AND calling it past due after only two days was a "dick move". Another easily offended individual. read more

I want to start off my saying that I have extreme dental anxiety caused by some pretty severe childhood trauma. Dr. Waggoner worked so well with me, he treated me like a person and was extremely professional and kind. He's very much the gentlemen and a really good doctor. He had me totally prepared prior to the surgery, he gave me a little baggie of 3 Diazepam pills (Valium, 5mg) and directed me to take all three 60 minutes prior to the procedure. He said that he usually directs his patients to take 2 pills, but suggested that I take the 3 because of my underlying anxiety disorder and dental phobia. I arrived to his office (with my responsible adult) floating on air and not nervous at all. He took into consideration that I have stressed induced high blood pressure and I think that is another reason he wanted me to take the three pills instead of two. He is a very conscientious practitioner, he told me that if my blood pressure was too high, that we would have to reschedule because he didn't want to take any risks. Thankfully it wasn't and this is due to his calm demeanor and thoughtful pre-procedure planning. I also told him that I am resistant to anesthesia and have a very high tolerance for narcotic pain medication (none of us are sure why this happens, I'm 124 pounds and do not abuse any kind of drugs, probably a metabolism thing). He had to use 3 different kinds of anesthetic sedative to get me fully under when most patients just require a light Propofol injection. Dr. Wagner monitored me the whole time and the who procedure took about a total of 30 minutes. I woke up feeling really relaxed and in no pain. There was very minimal bleeding and I have yet to see any real swelling. My surgery was originally set for 10 days prior to today but I had to reschedule as my top wisdom tooth became infected and I spiked a fever. Dr. Waggoner had me take the antibiotic to treat the infection. I actually called his emergency number at 11pm one night because I was in so much pain from the infected tooth. He suggested I start on the pain medication even though my surgery wasn't going to be for another 5 days. I was worried that I would run out of the pain medication by the time my procedure rolled around. After my surgery today Dr. Waggoner gave me another refill for both the antibiotic and the pain medication. He totally put my mind at ease. The other aspect I really appreciated was how detailed and "safety first" his approach is. I just had my right side wisdom teeth extracted (top and bottom). When he did the X-ray he said that my left side is pretty deep in the jaw bone and he said he didn't feel comfortable removing them until he had a better X-ray from a dental imaging center. He was worried that they are too close to the nerve and if removed I could potentially have a permanent lack of sensitivity. I think his exact words were "if you were my daughter, I wouldn't touch it." That really meant a lot to me. He didn't try to sell me anything or suggest any procedures that weren't medically necessary. I really can't recommend Dr. Waggoner enough. He really made me feel comfortable and for someone with dental anxiety, that is huge. I was so surprised with how quick the whole procedure was. Very pleased with my results and the experience in general. Would totally recommend his services. read more

This was my first time at this dental office, and I was already anxious about the procedure (extraction). When I arrived, the front desk staff and the assistants were very kind and friendly. However, when I met the dentist, he was not friendly AT ALL. I was expecting for him to do the usual introduction, and explain the procedure, etc. He was very brief and impersonal with his explanation, and did not do anything to assure me or make me feel comfortable or relaxed (no bedside manner). While I was waiting for the Novocain, I was trying to relax, and had my hands up on my head. He snapped at me to "put my arms down!" This only added to my anxiety. Once I was numbed up, and they were getting the tools prepped and started looking inside my mouth, I raised my hand slightly to signal that I needed just a moment to take a few deep breaths before they began. He then snapped at me "I need you to get it together - I will not have you ruin my day or my schedule!" as he walked away. I was absolutely shocked. I was in tears and numb (literally) and I got up and left. I couldn't believe how unprofessional he was! I was the first patient of the day, so I don't know what happened to make him act that way, or if he's always like that. No matter what happened, there's no excuse to act so rudely. I debated writing this review, however this experience was so upsetting, that I feel like it needs to be shared. read more

"Boring!" That's what Dr. Waggoner said to me on my consult. I just laughed - but it turned out to be a good thing. I'm officially three weeks post surgery and ready to write up how good everyone was. Of course, I was a little nervous since I've never had any teeth extracted - but I'm happy to report it was really not a big deal. Props to Jenny in the office for the great attentiveness in getting me in. I got my consult and kept switching around appointment times and she never made me feel I was an imposition; she was courteous in all my interactions with her. Dr. Waggoner was phenomenal - I chose just to have local anesthesia and was happy I did; literally the shots were the most painful part. I had my surgery scheduled for all four of my wisdom teeth to be removed at 7 and I was back in the car on the way home by 7:35 - most of the time was probably sitting and waiting to get numb. I was eating later that day (granted, it was pudding....and more pudding.......and jello, etc) and didn't really have a whole lot of residual pain after the fact - little sore and achy but that's to be expected. I was referred to Clyde and his office from my dentist. He spent 5 mins with me, referred me to someone else, then sent me a bill for $85. Edit: In response to the reply - No treatment options were given, I was referred to someone else. - I took the time to fill out the health history forms, so yeah, I guess the "full health history reviewed" means you looked at the form. - The bill you sent me clearly states "YOUR INSURANCE COVERED ALL BUT THE AMOUNT SHOWN ON THE STATEMENT". I put that in all caps to illustrate the way it is presented on the bill. To say I was fuh-reaking out about getting my wisdom teeth yanked is a bit of an understatement. I'll admit it: when it comes to medical stuff, I'm sort of a big baby. I hate getting shots, dread going to the dentist, and will basically avoid going to the doctor unless it's really, really necessary. I put off getting my wisdom teeth for a few years, but when my dentist started insisting I get it over with, I checked out Yelp for a trusty doc to do the job. In all seriousness, I think Dr. Waggoner might be my best EVER find on Yelp (and I've found some really great stuff here). The five star reviews tell it all--this guy is seriously incredible at what he does and made my wisdom tooth extraction easy, painless, and as not-scary as possible. I made a consultation appointment a few months back and knew I was in good hands right away. Dr. Waggoner's office got in touch with my dentist for x-rays so we didn't need to take them again, and the whole appointment was easy and straight forward. They gave me a quick overview of what the procedure would be like, sent me with two valium for before the procedure (plus some post-op prescriptions), and booked the appointment for about a month later. The day of the procedure, I arrived already a little loopy (that valium works wonders) and they got started right away. Dr. Waggoner talked to me about cats (my favorite thing) until I drifted off to sleep, and the next thing I knew I was making my way to a comfy chair where the staff would give my boyfriend some aftercare instructions. After getting home and sleeping off the anesthesia, I seriously could not believe how great I felt. I've had almost zero pain, no swelling, and was eating solid food later that night. I'm 72 hours post-procedure and feeling basically like myself again (sans four giant teeth in my head). I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Waggoner and his staff! I recently moved out of the state for grad school and had to plan to remove my final wisdom tooth when I was home for the winter break. They were incredibly helpful from my initial inquiring phone call through my actual extraction, and they were able to accommodate my limited schedule. They were honest about cost, consultation, procedure, post-op care, and what to expect from them at every stage of the process. Dr. Waggoner was open to answering all my nervous questions and was very reassuring in his honesty. I never felt like he was placating me or telling me what I wanted to hear. (I mean, you're getting a molar pulled out of your face; you want your surgeon to be honest about the whole thing!) Luckily, my tooth was incredibly easy to remove ("boring" is how Dr. Waggoner described my case... It was hilarious and reassuring) so the actual procedure took all of 15 minutes! The actual extraction took 30 seconds of those 15 minutes, and everyone was so attentive and supportive and made sure I was doing better than okay throughout the shots, extraction, and waiting time before heading to my car. But, had my case required more care or full sedation, I would have had no qualms trusting Dr. Waggoner and his staff. I wish I could remember everyone's names, because they were all so amazing and deserve a shout-out! I was referred to this office for a tooth extraction and implant; being new to Denver, I appreciated the referral! I have a lot of dental anxiety due to a horrible root canal I had in college. When I called to schedule the initial consultation I was directed to a website to download the necessary paperwork so I could do that at my leisure and just bring the completed forms with me. Very good. The office is small but well kept. Doctor Waggoner was on time for my initial consultation and he was very thorough. I also enjoyed his easy going manner which made me feel comfortable about having him perform the work I needed done. So far so good, and the actual procedure appointment was just as good. They were able to schedule me within the same week as the initial consultation. Once properly anesthetized my procedure was simple and I was out of there in fifteen minutes flat with a prescription to fill. Was in Dr. Waggoners office earlier today for extraction of #30 tooth. From my first phone call to saying goodbye to my tooth :( the experience was excellent. All the staff were competent, friendly and easy to look at which helps right? Hate to say I had fun at the Dentist ofice but we managed to make the best of the circumstance. Dr. Waggoner was professional and made sure I was comfortable during the procedure which took about 40 minutes from check- in to out the door. Did I mention the staff was all very attractive? Don't hesitiate to visit, treat them well and it will be returned tri-fold. PS. It's disappointing to read so many wonderful reviews at a place where I had so many confusing, unprofessional, and disappointing visits. After being told by my dentist two years ago that I needed to have my wisdom teeth out, I was sent to my dentist's "good friend," Dr. Waggoner, for a consultation. At that time, I was told that it would be a mistake, that I should not continue, but that we should keep our eyes on it. Very recently, a third molar decided it was time to debut, and pushed up through the gum. I went back to my dentist (Terry Brewick, strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND either, as he explained facial numbness as detracting from my ability to apply lipstick in the future, among many other unprofessional quips and practices), and was scolded for not having my wisdom teeth out already: "I seem to remember telling you to have these out two years ago..." So I'm sent back to Dr. Waggoner, who tells me the scans and x-rays I've had done up to this point are inconclusive, and that I need to drive to Centennial to pay $240 out of pocket for a 3D scan (Dr. Brad Potter, very nice guy, but they dropped the ball too). So I go back to Dr. Waggoner for my pre-op consultation, and am told we should not proceed based on the proximity of the roots to the nerves. But the kicker is that the Internet is down, and the staff cannot show me the scan I payed for and why it lead them to their conclusion. I don't accept that. I've gone out of my way, taken more hours and days off of work than I can afford to accommodate these people, and spent even more money I don't necessarily have on things I guess we didn't ever necessarily need? No, I don't accept that. Not when I have a hole in my gum where an obviously active wisdom has broken through. After more consultation and an ability to voice my frustrations, Dr. Waggoner agrees to schedule the surgery because, we both agree, dealing with this now is better than 1, 2, 5, or even 10 years from now. This morning, I've taken my Vicodin. Yesterday I spent the whole day getting post-op prescriptions filled, stocking up on soups and other soft foods, and mentally preparing for something that, if I'm like most people, is actually pretty scary (going under anesthesia). We get to the office. There's no internet. Dr. Potter's office has not sent physical copies of my $240 3D scan (taken on May 23, by the way), and since there's no internet and no physical copy of the scan, there's simply no way we can proceed. "But would you like to reschedule the surgery?" To which I said, "No, I will never come back here again." Given the option, I recommend anyone else will avoid this place too. Your internet problems should not be of any of my concern. You're medical health professionals who totally lack professionalism. I'm more disappointed than these words can communicate. Incompetent. Unprofessional. Poor communication. Patient shaming. "I told you so" mentality. This isn't what I want from a doctor's office. read more
