I wish I was kidding…read more Twenty-something odd years later, I am still seeing the same dentist that I saw as a little kid (in fact, my whole family still goes to see him, also). This fact actually kind of freaks out my husband. He thinks it is very weird to have gone to the same *anything* for one's whole life. But alas, it is true. So why have I been going to Dr. Gitlin my whole life and why do I drive 90 miles from Fort Collins to Littleton to get my teeth cleaned? Plain and simple, Dr. Gitlin and his staff are the best! As a little kid, I was notorious for having cavities. I swear, every time I went to the dentist, I had a cavity. I was actually surprised one time when I didn't have a cavity. Despite the numerous cavities I needed filled, I was never afraid of the dentist or going to see Dr. Gitlin. He is such a nice, funny, laid back guy and really great with kids. He made me feel super comfortable and pretty much convinced me as a kid that I was the *BEST* patient ever. While there today I could over hear him talking to a kid who was getting a filling and I was reminded of all the fun things he would say that actually made getting a filling fun, or at least as fun as it could be. He would always says things like, "Open wide like an alligator," "Time to make your tooth go to sleep," and "We got to get all the SUGAR BUGS out." I'm glad he still says those things to kids! Dr. Gitlin's staff is also great! Many of the staff members are actually the same people that have worked there for the last 20 years. The hygienists are wonderful and very gentle with their cleanings. And even now that I am an adult, Dr. Gitlin is still a great guy to talk to and he has such a great sense of humor. So if you are a little weary of going to the dentist, or are looking for someone that is good with kids, I HIGHLY suggest Dr. Larry Gitlin and his staff.

Well about two days had past and I began having hard foods and my tooth hurt so bad it was the one that was drilled and he did not even it out. He is now retiring thank goodness!!! Over all verry unprofessional my wife was given a sedative and told I would be 15 minutes and come…read more2 hours later the dental assistant came out and got myself and a family friend to ask us to please come in and attempt to wake my wife up we sat there for another 45 minutes trying to bring her out of it and the doctor never came back in to the room except to tell us that she must have taken something before coming and back pedaling that it was not his fault other than that as soon as my wife was able to open her eyes his assistant was pushing us out the door literally helped me move my wife to a wheel chair still barely able to use basic motor skills and helped us to the car it took her 3 day to come compleatly out of I and to regaine her strength today she still gets extremely bad headaches and dizziness from her head being just hung backwards for an xtended amount of time

I think they have a bunch of new people and some of them are pretty cranky. The receptionist always seems distracted and it's like I'm bothering her. They used to have one named Cindy and she was great! Always cheerful and always smiling. The hygeinist Libby is great and she gave me free toothpaste and a brush. The dentist Dr. Monroe is very good at what she does too. It's too bad that the management has gotten rid of the good people they had and replaced them with people that are so-so. You can feel the tension in the office, I've work in HR for years so I can read employees very well.

We had been going here for 10+ years and were very satisfied with the services we were being given…read moreuntil recently. During a routine visit they recommended a different type of X-Rays. I indicated we did not want them if they were not covered by insurance. They assured us that insurance covered the X-Rays so we agreed. Low and behold, the X-Rays were not covered and they said sorry we didn't tell you that...which they did! On top of this, they changed their payment policies requiring upfront payments even for those with dental insurance. They will reimburse you the amount covered by insurance. I had to contact them for the reimbursement as they simply credited our account. Service has definitely declined and we will take our business elsewhere.

Worst dental visit of my life…read more I went to Dr. Wise's office as a new patient. When I arrived the receptionist said "Oh, you decided to come anyway." Wait what? She went onto say "they were supposed to call you, one hygienist call off today." NOBODY ever called me. I would not drug myself to the dentist first thing in the morning just because. She said we can still get you in. I was taken back to the dental chair, where I sat next to a fussy screaming child as I waited to be seen. The hygienist was the first to see me, as she was doing the cleaning, she slipped a couple of times painfully hitting my gums. After, Dr Wise came in, he performed the exam and took xrays and ordered upper and lower molds of my teeth. I inquired why I need them for a basic check up and cleaning. He said "I require that of all of my patients." I pushed back a bit because I did not feel that they were necessary. He demeaned them, so they proceed with the molds. Then he went onto order additional xrays. I cannot imagine how much ran up my insurance bill for all of the unnecessary (never used) molds and additional xrays on top of the cleaning and exam. I did not received an invoice. At the time I was in my mid 20's, with no dental issues and I have always taken good care of my teeth, and practiced good hygiene; I actually floss regularly and go to the dentist twice a year. This experience has always bothered me.

Dr. Peters is very friendly, personable, and knowledgeable as are his assistants and staff. They taught me the proper way and techniques to brushing that I never learned elsewhere and as a result have made me a true believer of the importance of oral hygiene. As a result I haven't had a cavity in almost 3 years after initially coming to him with an extensive and expensive mouth full of cavities. I will continue to return to Dr. Peters every 6 months for my regular cleanings and exams and use him for all of my dental work even though he is out of my insurance providers network. I know I will always get the best care and quality from him and it will be a sad day when Dr. Peters retires because he is an irreplaceable resource.
