Stay Away....I bought a new f-150 at Arundel ford, when they brought it out to deliver it to me, it was losing air from one of the rear tires.(BRAND NEW).Now I have to put air in the tires every so often because they couldn"t fix a air leak. I've purchased more than 30 cars in my lifetime. This was by far the easiest and most pleasant car buying experience I've ever had. In and out in less than 2 hours, including the test drive. It's a small, family run business where customer service is primary. There are Ford dealers closer to my home but after doing my research and talking with their sales department, the extra drive to the charming town of Arundel and this dealership was worth it. We live in Maine and therefore we shop in Maine to support local businesses. We could drive over state lines to save on sales tax but in a family on entrepreneurs and Maine business owners, we support other businesses in our own state first. I highly recommend this dealer and they do provide service as well. Sam was my sales person and he went out of his way to make sure everything was pleasant and that there were no long waits. The finance manager apologized for what he saw as slow service but I disagreed. Even when I have paid cash for my cars the buying experience has always been at least 4 hours, sometimes 8 hours. But this dealership is different. What you get from a small family run business is worth the drive to Arundel. read more

My experience with Arundel Ford started out excellent. We were out of state and they were very helpful with my vehicle purchase. They even went so far as to pick up my parents at the airport to drive the new vehicle home. Unfortunately, that is where the excellent service ended. When the vehicle arrived home, I noticed a large deep scratch in the gauge cluster. My dad said he didn't notice the scratch when he received the vehicle, but after reviewing several screenshots i had taken of the vehicle, but assumed it was just a reflection as it was a brand new vehicle. i thought no problem, I will contact Arundel For and make them aware of the situation. I thought we could find a way to deal with it in my home state as driving the vehicle back would have been cost prohibitive. Arundel was nice and understanding and said that we could certainly take it to my local Ford dealership for an estimate on the repair and they would take care of it. This is the point in which the runaround started. Suddenly, none of these friendly people were available to take my call, but I could always leave a voicemail message. I called and called, always leaving a message, but with no response. I always remained calm and polite. When I did finally get to speak with someone, they said to go ahead and schedule an appointment with my local dealership and that Arundel would take care of the bill. It took over 3 months just to get someone to agree to let me schedule the repair. Arundel also told my local dealership to call when the work was completed and they would pay the invoice. My local dealership did the work and called Arundel as directed, and as you can imagine, they left multiple messages, but with no response. Then my local dealership did finally speak with someone, they just got excuse after excuse. After almost 2 months of calls from both my local dealer and myself, I finally broke. I had wasted over 4 months of my time calling and trying to get the issue resolved, but to no avail. So, ended up having to pay to replace the gauge cluster on my brand new Super Duty on my own. I hope Arundel is happy with their win and that this was all worth it to them. I always try to see the best in people and give them the opportunity to do what is right, but I have to say, Arundel has some truly bad people. I read some of their reviews prior to my purchase warning of this type of behavior, but after talking to Arundel, I didn't initially believe the reviews. I thought it was just a disgruntled customer. Well, I can tell you from experience that the bad reviews are true. I'm not sure how they even get the good reviews. I would warn against doing any business with Arundel Ford for any reason, but especially if you are out of state or need them to service or repair your vehicle. lies from the get go from colin. vehicle had numerous issues that I pointed out during my test drive and was assured they would be fixed....silly me for taking their word for it.a week later they said it waa ready. I got there and 45 minutes later left with a faulty e brake still and the driveshaft making horrible noise still. bring it back , get it back a week later and the ebrake is still faulty and now that I've gotten to drive the vehicle a total of 3 days , I notice the clutch is slipping when under hard acceleration. I bring it back a 3rd and final time. they assert that the ebrake is not supposed to work and the clutch is supposed to slip. I'm nervous my car is going to leave me stranded and they couldn't care less. read more

I would give 0 stars to Dylan Mountain if I could but this page wouldn't let me . I've been going to Arundle Ford for 30 + years and never been harrassed. He calls two to three times a day or sends two or three text messages a day. If he doesn't get through with one phone number he goes to the other number. He uses other employees emails just to get people to go in so he makes more money. He waste people's time for no good reason. So now after 30+ years I'm seriously considering going elsewhere . If I'm only giving one star because if I could give none I would. I had an appointment to get an oil change, tire rotation and point inspection. I talked to the gentleman at the desk about a recall that was put out 2 years ago that my husband had spoken to them about a year ago and they were supposed to order the parts. He proceeded to tell me there's no way he spoke to him about it because the recall was only 8 months old. They would order the part and call me..... ok fine so I gave them the keys and and an hour and a half later I paid for the service got in my car git a mike down the street and noticed my radio/ clock wasn't working . I went back and they tried telling me it was just a coincidence that it stopped working from when I parked it to when they drove it in the garage area... I went back and forth with them telling them knowing something wasn't right they continued to tell me it wasn't their fault ...brought it back into the garage and ran some test on it gave me a pice of paper saying it was the audio module so I said just out of curiosity how much would it cost to fix the radio .... $385 and an hour and 1/2 labor, told them that was BS and my husband would be contacting them because I was so mad I couldn't stand there any more an argue with them. I left got 2 miles down the road and my check engine light came on.... called them and they asked me to drive it back which I did to be met by the parts and service director at the door with a coder ....he coded the car and popped the hood and wasn't happy at what he saw(which I will include a picture of because I wanted proof of).He discussed with me what we were seeing was part of the inspection and should have been addressed and fixed as part of the service I paid for. He took the vehicle back in and 20 minutes later drives it back out asks me to wait a minute and calls the guy who told me the radio issue wasn't the fault and they weren't going to fix it outside an obviously spoke to him about it in a not so happy demeanor.... he then called me outside and asked what do you hear I said oh the radio is working! I then told him that I was sorry for being such a bitch but I knew something wasn't right about the whole situation he proceeded to apologize and tell me I had every right to be a bitch about it because I received poor service and he was sorry about it . I will give him credit for fixing the situation and he did the right thing but the mechanic that worked on my vehicle and the guy that gave me the diagnostic paper in the radio issue are shady, because if they had run a diagnostic on it the paper they gave me would have said it was a 6 CD player not a single CD player don't know what they handed me but it wasn't my radio cd system and left my battery like they did when it was part of the point inspection We bought the vehicle there but will not be returning the vehicle there for future services or recalls because I don't trust their level of service or ethics. Update: 4 yrs with my f150. The good news is that I've had my first non maintenance repair in 64,000 miles. That's great compared to my previous (other brand) truck. The other news is that they replaced the parking brake cable and a related part. When I took possession it didn't work, at all. No parking break tension. As if it wasn't connected. I went inside and they sent the mechanic out. We got into the truck and he tried it. No braking at all. He proceeded to tell me that "It's not considered a parking brake any longer but a safety brake" and that it might need a little adjustment. I told him that this one was 'no brake'. He was sweating and took it back to adjust it. It came out properly tensioned and working. Thing is, if he had said, "this is no good, lets re adjust it.. sorry". I would have said, "stuff happens". But the snow job wasn't appreciated, not at $400. On top of that I was sent an email to do a service evaluation. I answered all their questions and told them the same thing as above. The next day an email was sent to me indicating that the review couldn't be accepted. So, at their website, only glowing reports. Other evaluations won't be shown. ----------- read more

Tried to purchase a vehicle there, gave good faith deposit and waited for next steps. Financing wasn't approved but told dealership we were seeking alternative financing and we still wanted the truck. The salesperson was a rookie, not communicating well with the finance folks and sales manager. We were led on by him for over a week that a deal was being put together only to find out that they sold the vehicle to someone else, even though the vehicle still shows up on their website and other online sales sites. Over the course of the next 10 days, I called and left several messages and sent several emails to no avail. Today I finally was able to speak with the finance manager who was quite terse with me in explaining what happened. I was hoping to explain my concerns and let them know what a terrible customer service experience this had been, when he hung up on me. Rude is an understatement. I was not being abusive or confrontational. This is not the way you conduct business. This is not the way you treat people. A manufacturer malfunction occurred with a car I purchased at Arundel Ford. It was originally misdiagnosed when it went in to them for service which left me very frustrated with the dealership, Ford, and the car. After some back and forth Arundel Ford's team did step up and fixed the issue at a far more reasonable cost than what was originally quoted for a part that shouldn't have been broken to begin with (which is not the dealership's problem but since Ford is refusing to acknowledge the issue it made this process all the more aggervating). While I appreciate them stepping up to resolve the problem it was quite a headache to get to that point and to feel like they actually cared about me as a customer. Hopefully my original 1 star review and even this edited review now that the problem is resolved leads to some changes in their service department to make customers feel like they are actually being listened to & taken care of when they bring a vehicle in for service/repairs. read more
