They were able to fit us in within the hour and gave us recommendations on what to do until then. What followed was nearly 30 days of the car sitting in the shop during the first 30 days of ownership. The biggest issue was that they kept diagnosing and fixing things that were not the actual problem. Each time, I was told they had found "the issue," only for the car to still have the exact same problem. Multiple parts were replaced unnecessarily because they misdiagnosed the problem repeatedly. At one point, the car was marked as "repaired," I had it back for about 10 minutes, and had to immediately return it because the issue was still there. What made this worse was how it was handled. I was told they could "take away" paying for the damages, and was also told "if you bought it anywhere else you would have been screwed already." This came across as a threat rather than customer service. During this same situation, I was also pressured to purchase a warranty, even though the car failed almost immediately after purchase. While they said repairs would be covered, the entire experience was disorganized, stressful, and time-wasting. I paid for a car I could barely drive, lost transportation for weeks, and had to constantly chase answers instead of being given clear communication. This situation showed poor diagnostics, poor quality control, and a lack of accountability. I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business here.

When I explained that my boss was rich enough, and his business was not affect by the pandemic. Her response "doesnt everyone love money?" We picked up the truck the other day and the engine went out on the truck. They strung me along and thought things were OK just because they gave me a loaner. Communication would have gone a long way. Not only to me but also to corporate. Actually driving the truck to duplicate the issue would have been beneficial as well. I recommend no one using Berlin City Toyota of Portland. They are useless and will string you a long with story after story. They are not as helpful as they claim to be and will lie to you.
