I broke down in Maine 2 summers ago. Overheated. Had my BMW…read moretowed to Neil's as it was suggested by another shop I'd called. They were supposedly the next best thing to an actual BMW dealership. I left the car with them and got home to Vermont. The following Monday they called and said it was repaired. Needed a water pump, thermostat oil cooler and gasket and oil change. First they used a non compliant coolant for my car. Second they stripped my radiator drain plug. When I contacted them they threw up hands and forwarded me to NAPA part warranty. Which has limited partners in Vermont. Now the water pump the put in has failed. Looking back on the $2700 I paid for this I am pretty disgusted. Knowing this is dealership prices or higher. This is probably 700 more than should have been charged.

I went to Firestone in Biddeford to get my car looked at after an oil change at prompto Auto…read moreservice. They overfilled my car with oil by a liter and I was having car issues that I thought were very related. They looked at my car. Amanda, the manager explicitly said this had nothing to do with an overfill. Even though I later found out she found Found spark plugs covered in oil. She also told me my number four coil for my engine needed to be changed as well which I later find out can be tied to an overfill. So I fixed all four coils and spark plugs and then had a lot of stalling issues which caused a PCV valve code. So again I got that part. We also discovered that part was covered in oil. Then my crankshaft sensor was an issue, I fixed that part and that was also covered in oil. On a side note, a mysterious engine filter brand new was installed in my car but there's oil all around it. I love how this has nothing to do with the liter that was overfilled in my car. As a single mother, I'm just at a loss here...... Prompto explicitly said if it was tied they would fix it so I have no idea what happened, I don't know if companies don't like to call each other out but this is just crazy to me.

They scoped the cylinder 3 misfire code which committed us hours of labor (Toyota V6 design fault) and, trusting them, did the other two coils too--the kind of "extra" work you only do when you feel comfortable that they fix it right, for the right reasons, at a fair price, so you do the work now (like we should've on another coil 2 years ago).
