They were able to fit us in within the hour and gave us recommendations on what to do until then. Turns out there was nothing visibly wrong with the tire, no holes or anything, so they couldn't do anything on the spot. They didn't charge for the inspection and filling up the tire. We very much appreciated their help and are glad to know we can wait until we get back to deal with the tire instead of worry all weekend. When I called and spoke to someone in the service department, he first tried to blame it on lights being left on, which didn't happen then I was told the life of the battery was only good for 36,000 miles and it still has the original battery. I bought the car with just a little over 38,000 miles so that probably should've been changed before they sold it. Was also told that this is normal for Subarus if they're not being driven every day. The Service department is rude and should be retrained in their customer service skills. I'm already regretting this purchase. I'm hoping this isn't the beginning of several future problems. Took my car in for exhaust work and asked for state inspection while I was there. They failed the…read morestate inspection for struts and rear shocks due to leaks. I informed them that I sprayed the undercarriage with Fluid Film to prevent corrosion, but they insisted that the parts were leaking and the inspection failed. I changed the parts myself and noticed that they were not in fact bad. Filed a complaint with the Maine State Police Inspectors. They verified that the Struts and shocks were not bad. The inspector should have done a bounce test if the struts and shocks have when I had informed them about the use of Fluid Film. I do not recommend them for a State Inspection!
