I had a great experience with Justin at Art's Pit Stop today. With an upcoming road trip and an unresolved service light, I called and Justin told me to just stop in. He scanned my system with 2 different scanners, answered all my concerns, and made sure he covered all the bases. He felt that it was as simple as the service light hadn't been reset properly. The tech's at the oil change business had sworn up and down that they had reset it and there was a bigger problem. It seems to be fixed now, and the cherry on top was that there was no charge! Had a vintage 1984 CJ Jeep that need some repair from a knowledgeable shop. They were courteous, professional, and keep the bank attack to a minimum. However there arose a oil leak in the valve cover. When I spoke to them they were very apologetic and fixed it same day. I would recommend them. I worked with Justin and Andrew. Just had a minor incident with my high mileage car. Not good because I'm 500 miles from home! Check engine light came on! These guys ran diagnostics to determine that it was a non issue, and reset everything. Out in less than 5 minutes. Great service! I moved about 15miles away from here when I used to live across the street, but won't take my car anywhere else. I have one car they are letting stay there while they work on different issues while I pay them as they go along and A 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT I drive everyday and love but needs quite a bit of work, a little at a time since it is getting older. I brought my car in at the end of last year due to a stalling issue wouldn't hold the idle and another shop messed me over saying it was a computer relearn and charged me $100...he said my car doesn't have a relearn system after a battery is changed and what I read online was correct, it only needed the throttle body cleaned so he said $20 for the advice and I did it or $50 total if he did. I didn't want to go through the hassle of doing it myself so I paid him $50. Worked like a charm. I didn't leave a review because I was "iffy" about charging me for advice. I recently had my alternator quit on me so I got it replaced by them and it was costly but I took their advice and went with the parts store quality product instead of AutoZone's Dura last since it's not as good. They put on my aftermarket tail lights and front and rear reflector lights for another $20. It had the stalling issue after the alt/battery was messed with so I drove back after it started acting up and they cleaned out the air intake for me again...It took a while but corrected itself after about a day of driving. These guys listen to what you have to say and are polite and knowledgeable. They should be cloned so many other car repair places could have them too and it would be easy for many new customers to get the cars done quickly. THEY ARE THE BEST! read more

I had my rotor's/brake pads replaced/worked on today and I can honestly say, they did a TREMENDOUS job, they most definitely exceeded my expectations, my truck feels brand new. Next let me state I'm a Master ASE mechanic who now manages a large vehicle repair operation for a fortune 100 company. Ill preface this feedback simply stating my son in school bought a car without me being able to look at it...this week I came to visit him and my second priority was to ensure his car was in good order- not having tools or a lift, I found the Pit Stop on Yelp and decided to give them a try....as the previous reviews state not only was he extremely honest with letting me know issues found, but was able to take the car right in. Justin, Andrew, and Chip are great mechanics. I recently starting having issues with my truck and because I recently moved to Arizona, I didn't have any of my own tools to take care of the problem. I brought it in to Art's early in the morning. I got there about 15 minutes before they opened and settled in to wait for them to open. Justin saw me outside and opened the doors to get my day started on a positive note. I explained the problems I was having and what I had done to resolve it. He said that they would take a look and call me back later in the day. A couple of hours later, Andrew called me and said that they had found a couple of loose vacuum hoses, but that the root cause was low fuel pressure. I was in no hurry and told him to do the work and take care of it when they had the chance. He told me they would start that afternoon and could have it done by the end of the day. Lnowing that many shops are extremely busy, I told them to do it whenever they had the chance. He called me back the nrxt morning at 8:45 and said it was done. Needless to say I was more than impressed that they didn't leave greasy fingerprints all over the truck, unlike some chain-store mechanics in town. If I ever need work done that I can't handle, they have a repeat customer. read more

My daughter's 1996 Pontiac had a starting issue. For the first few tries it would fire but not run. After a couple of attempts, it wouldn't even fire. I took it to a different shop and they said the after market alarm system was the cause. It worked for a while then the starting problems returned. Two more tows and several hundred dollars later, the mechanic couldn't find the cause. I decided to try another shop and very glad I did. Justin did testing and concluded that the codes where still in place. He got it running smoothly and explained the cause to both my daughter and I. When I paid I was literally shocked at how reasonable the price was. I will no longer use any shop besides Art's Pit Stop. I highly recommend them! read more

My son's car popped the check engine light 200 miles from Tucson on our way to move him in for school. I looked at Yelp saw the reviews and brought the car to Art's to diagnose. I pulled up explained the situation and they immediately pulled the code , diagnosed it , looked at the car , reset the code and sent me on my way without a charge. It has been a month and the car is still driving perfectly. They could have charged me to diagnose it and didn't. read more

I found Art's Pit Stop on Yelp.com. The shop had a good number of excellent reviews. My car overheated and would not start. I had it towed to Art's Pit Stop. I received a call that after testing compression and running other tests, the engine had gotten so hot that it was not repairable. After talking about the cost of a new engine, plus labor, and the value of the car, I decided not to have it repaired. I was able to leave the car at Art's for a couple of days until I could sell it to a salvage yard. They helped the tow driver position the none-running car in place to get it on the tow truck and Art's even called me to tell me the tow operator was at his shop, something the two operator was supposed to do. After all that great service from Art's, he didn't charge me a cent for his diagnostic work. He said he felt bad giving me bad news and it was hard enough to lose a car without having to pay for the bad news. Incredible... This will be my shop of choice in the future, plus I will recommend them to anyone who needs a car repaired. read more
