Amazing. That is the best way I can put it. If you need a recommendation for what to try - ask the barista's. They know the coffee. The owners have put their heart into the place! And it shows. The GF offerings are good and they work hard to make sure they are save ( cross contamination, etc ) I haven't ever gotten sick from their offerings - and I have had them multiple times. This place is AWESOME! I have been loving local, small business coffee shops and Artisan Coffee is a gem! The decor is so comfy and cozy. It's a rustic, home-y, relaxing kind of vibe. I went in on a Saturday morning, hoping I could get a seat to sit down and do some work; however, it got pretty busy and there were quite a lot of customers already enjoying their coffee. I didn't mind though because although it was busy, it wasn't loud or distracting and I knew I had walked into everyone's new favorite coffee spot! I decided not to stay, but the staff were so sweet and cheerful! The lavender latte that I got was amazing! This place is truly artisan. They roast their own beans in house! All of the syrups that go into the drinks are hand made and even all of the pastries are made in house. Every drink I have had is delicious. They don't have that overly sweet fake taste that is so predominate at other coffee shops. It's the freshest tasting espresso drinks around. And so much better than the beloved chain coffee house that even I love. They even have a kid menu. You feel like you are getting something unique and special at Artisan. The decor of this shop is so cozy and cute! They have nice comfy chairs by the fireplace and plenty of seating at tables if that's more your jam. It's the kind of place that you want to stay awhile and enjoy a cup of coffee with friends. The owners Tim and Emily are the nicest people and truly seem overjoyed to be serving their coffee and food to people. Ellet has needed a place like this and it truly delivers. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is friendly, the seating is ample compared to many places (but even then it can get busy), the prices are reasonable, every drink I've tried has been delicious, and the pastry selection is widely varied and super tasty. My personal favorite drinks are the hot apple cider with caramel drizzle and the summer Sapphire. Even the food here is pretty good for a coffee place! It's become my go-to hangout spot around. First, the atmosphere is the first thing you see. It's beautiful, spacious, and then there's a fireplace! Second, you notice a guy standing at the counter with a welcoming smile and low and behold.. he speaks to us first! They were patient with us being that it was our first time here and gave suggestions and described anything we asked about. The manager is very nice. I thought he was the owner! We sat by the fireplace enjoying our lavender and almond joy lattes, breakfast sandwich and pastry. We walk around and notice an entire kids area and a stack of board games on a bookshelf. I mean Scrabble, Apples to apples, heck I'm pretty sure I seen candy land! They were spot on. And they were grounded whole organic coffee beans from well over 20 different countries. This place is legit. Oh I didn't mention that lavender latte was beyond what I expected. I would go get one everyday but I'm mostly a tea drinker now. I love the coffee and the food is absolutely delicious. Not to mention the actual store is adorable and a nice place to sit and study. They support local artists which I really respect and have truly became Akron's best coffee shop. I applied here to work and they said I needed barista experience (which is understandable) but afterwards when I would come in they would ask me about my job search and when I got a job at little ceasers they would ask how it was going and truly cared about me as a person. I love the family who owns it and everything that they are about. I'm lucky it's 2 minutes from my house but it would be worth a drive too! read more
