This is an awesome art studio. I signed up for open access and it has been an absolute joy bc I can go to several classes on a monthly basis for a fixed fee, and I get to pick which paintings I want to do! The instructors are all very friendly and give great instructions for you to create a beautiful painting that you can be proud of, regardless of your skill level or painting expertise. They teach the class in a basically fool-proof way so you can create great piece of art at the end, but also provide enough flexibility for you to add your own flare and individuality to your piece. Priya and Natalia have been among the great instructors who consistently give excellent instructions, have a lot of patience, and give good tips on how to improve or individualize your piece. Shelby, who I believe is the manager, has been immensely helpful whenever I needed to reschedule classes and helped me manage my open access account. Everyone on the staff is very kind and supportive. While I signed up and often go to to paintings independently as a pass-time to do something creative, I've also gone in groups to socialize and have a good time. You are free to bring your own snacks and wine if you wish, and it's a really fun activity to do while hanging out with family and friends and a fantastic way to de-stress. This is a great location and will be the most fun with a small group. There are different pictures that go along with each level of experience (beginner-advanced) which makes picking your photo easy; even if you pick an advanced drawing, the teachers are highly skilled and will help you get there with the rest of the class (or you can just drink wine and I'm sure your picture will come out just as beautiful). I recommend signing up for the emails (they aren't daily/annoying) which will let you know about discounts. Booking online is easiest. There is a parking garage around the corner that seems to be the most convenient place to park. Monika is a great teacher! read more

I had a friend visiting from out of town and thought this would be a great memory. I was right. She had never painted before. I have. She thought she couldn't paint. She was wrong! She did a beautiful job. The class inspires confidence and I can't wait to do it again and again. Groupon was wonderful and saved a lot of money. Only minor complaint, the music was loud and not relaxing, but was adjusted when a few folks requested it be lowered....so don't be afraid to speak up. Rise Up Chorus held a group event at ArteVino and we had such a good time! Our instructor was a delight - I think she had as much fun as we did - and made a great music playlist for us to enjoy while painting. We brought in snacks and beverages, of course, and enjoyed sipping, snacking and chatting (and singing! since that's what a chorus is all about) while we painted our masterpieces :) ... I brought my mom here for an early "mothers day gift." Much to my surprise she said,"you know, Ive never done this in my life." We painted, we laughed, and had a ball. The painting didnt come out half bad either. We never had so much fun. They made it such a "feel good"night. I booked a private party for some friends birthday. Our instructor was Eric and he was awsome. He was friendly funny very helpful and made us feel at home. I felt very comfortable and when ever anyone had questions he was there. He made sure we had enough time to cut cake and he made sure that he let us know he would clean up. I booked my sons' 26th birthday party at Artevino in Metuchen. We were 15 or so people ranging in age from 16 to 85 and everyone had a great time. It was an individual task but we still interacted. A large table was supplied for us to set up a nice spread with warming trays, platters and beverages. Erik was accommodating, engaging, and a very patient teacher. What a good opportunity to spend a Friday night doing something enjoyable even though quarantined. I didn't think it would be possible, I prefer to be in the studio, but I had a good time. Loved this experience! Natalia is a sweet heart and very good instructor!!! Do not need to know anything about painting except to come with a positive attitude and a smile. The crowd is great and everyone is friendly. You can have a drink and there are cups for you to use while you drink and paint. I'm pretty sure I saw a wine bottle opener too. ArteVino in Metuchen was a wonderful night out with my daughters! I can't paint or drawn and with the guidance of the instructor I was amazed at the result! A painting I would be proud to hang up. Planned a Paint-Your-Pet fundraiser for Jersey Girls Animal Rescue. The staff was great. They answered all of my questions beforehand. They were also super helpful with everyone's orignial paintings. I attended a class at the studio and it was great. The studio was clean and organized. The pallets were set up with a small picture for reference as well as the painting the instructor's painting. We were worried it would be too much time but took the 3 hour class for VanGogh's Starry Night and it was a blast-wanted to stay longer!!! Great for a group - beats all the average nights out at movies,etc. Definitely going back!!!! read more
