The staff person greeted us promptly, and we found her to be friendly, patient and professional. She quickly set us up at a table. The children picked out their favorite ceramic (a truck and a koala bear) and we then headed over to the paints. You can select a handful of paint colors at a time which you squeeze onto a ceramic palate, and you can get refills or new colors as needed. We spent about an hour painting (the younger one a little less). Once completed the staff collects your work of art and two weeks later you can pick up your kiln fired and glazed masterpieces. There were quite a few ceramics to choose from. Adults might like this place too. Prices that I saw ranged from a low of around $10 to $50 and more depending on the size of the ceramic. Weekly 1 hr classes that includes all supplies, glazes and firing - make atleast 2 pieces depending on how your skills progress throughout the classes. I made 6 pieces but only took home 4! - I was a beginner so Danielle focused on throwing cylinders. We came as a family and picked out a large piece to work on together and even though we were all paying a studio fee, the paint was getting rationed to us, and they got annoyed when we ran out and asked for more. Grace hovered over us the whole time, interfering and telling us how much paint to use (she didn't want us to use too much even though I knew from past experience that it needs 2-3 coats of paint or else it looks streaky) It was just so unpleasant. There are no prices on the pieces, and they only allow three paint colors - the whole thing had a dishonest and stingy feel. The owner was mad and huffy because we were working on a large piece together as a family instead of individual pieces. An expensive piece mind you! One of the benches was shaky which made it hard to paint and when we asked to switch for a chair that no one was using we were told we were making too many requests and we should leave! I have NEVER - in any other painting studio - had my paint colors restricted or rationed or told how many coats I can put on the piece or how many people can work together THIS WAS RIDICULOUS!!!! There are so many other local pottery places - find somewhere more kind, family oriented and friendly if you want to have a good time. I wish I would have read the other one star reviews before I came here because what they describe was exactly my experience.

When my 5 yo acted up, she was super calm and understanding. She even helped us perfect her piece. If I lived in the area I'd want a membership or discount because I'd be back and there's an $8 painter's fee (which adds up!). HIGHLY recommend!!!!

It's in the shopping center with Nomad pizza (great spot to get dinner beforehand), lots of parking, you have to walk into the middle of the plaza to get to the store front. The staff are very helpful, friendly. The facility is clean. The prices are good, they have groupons as well. The event we went to was so much fun, very age appropriate and easy for the kids to follow along. I hope they offer more of these in the future. They have lots of events on their Facebook page.
