The party coordinators were friendly and the party flowed well with a special painting surprise that the group did together. We had a photographer provided who took some great shots and allowed us parents to enjoy the day. Was a great experience, however, the one thing that was missing is they do not offer glazing that other pottery places like Color Me Mine do. However we will be back as it's close by and good selection of pottery to choose from as well as being clean.

I went here with a friend after work around 6:30pm. Little did we know that Color and Mine closes at 8pm! The staff were nice enough to let us do our project but I definitely think you need more than 1.5 hours even for a small project. I was already feeling a bit rushed which was no one's fault but our own for not checking the timing. We both decided to design a small plate. The staff were helpful in explaining where everything was and different tips to help make our designs better. The designs came out really cute! I would definitely come back but would for sure spend at least 2 hours if not more so I could do a bigger project.

The staff person greeted us promptly, and we found her to be friendly, patient and professional. She quickly set us up at a table. The children picked out their favorite ceramic (a truck and a koala bear) and we then headed over to the paints. You can select a handful of paint colors at a time which you squeeze onto a ceramic palate, and you can get refills or new colors as needed. We spent about an hour painting (the younger one a little less). Once completed the staff collects your work of art and two weeks later you can pick up your kiln fired and glazed masterpieces. There were quite a few ceramics to choose from. Adults might like this place too. Prices that I saw ranged from a low of around $10 to $50 and more depending on the size of the ceramic. We enjoyed our visit here and would be happy to return.

Staff will give you a water bowl to wash your brushes. Once you're finished glazing, you leave your piece with them and they will call you when it's been glazed and ready for pick up. I enjoyed making my "Peepachu" for $17 plus studio time. It was a neat activity to do with friends. I would go back to this CMM again.

This summer 2023 I decided to spend some time to explore pottery making. I loved my process during the one day wheel experience and decided to take their 4 week wheel classes. I mostly learned from their staff Danielle and she was an excellent teacher! One day wheel experience - $48 per person - perfect friend hangout or date activity! - make 1 piece on the wheel with expert staff guidance with options to make 1 more piece on your own - paint your piece with engobes paint and pick up your piece after a few weeks! 4 week classes - $200 total- such a good deal! Weekly 1 hr classes that includes all supplies, glazes and firing - make atleast 2 pieces depending on how your skills progress throughout the classes. I made 6 pieces but only took home 4! - I was a beginner so Danielle focused on throwing cylinders. However I wish there could be more variety in throwing different shapes- like a bowl - I learned so much from each class from wedging clay, centering, making even walls, trimming, making and attaching handles I loved my experience here and I'll be back to utilize their studio space for wheel throwing as well as glaze some of their premade pieces

Internal stakeholder management issues notwithstanding (non-vendor side), the experience was wonderful from top to bottom! Having never been here, nor painted pottery since I was in 7th grade, I called Artsy to find out what to expect. Stephanie who picked up the phone didn't have the answer to one of my questions (it was her first day!), but found out and called me back right away. We walked in on a weekend morning. Sylvia, another lovely employee, greeted us and explained the process. The interior is clean, zen, cheerful, colorful, neat and well-organized. My child chose a ceramic and colors, Sylvia laid out the paints, and the père-fils duo got down to business while I settled in a nearby cafe to get some work done. (There is actually a cafe in the back of the store, but it was closed at the time as I'm told they're soon moving to a larger space up Main St.) Although FamCo's senior team member reported that the junior associate gave up halfway and significant intervention was required to help execute his vision and meet the project goal, the assignment was completed with pride, and turned out to be a perfect rainy day activity. Prices vary but most projects are under $35 at the time of writing, more for larger pieces, and includes everything (ceramic, painting, kiln firing). I wish there were some more choices but my child was happy with what he selected. The finished object would be ready to pick up in 10 days, and the senior official in charge was responsible for monitoring the schedule and ensuring timely retrieval of the gift. However, two weeks and an alarming question later ("so when are we supposed to get it?"), it was clear the directive had not been followed, and the Chairman of SteerCo was urged to "come along" on Mother's Day morning to support the final step and ensure deliverables are achieved within deadline. Once again, Sylvia met us as we picked up the finished project - which looks quite much nicer and different in its glazed and completed form than the raw material - and even kindly offered to take our family photo holding it. Artsy also offers workshops & classes, kids & adult paint or pottery parties, summer camp, and mobile events. Whether you want to paint something for yourself, make a gift for someone else, or just find something fun and crafty to do, I highly recommend them!

There was only one person working (our "designated party host") who also was attending to multiple other painting customers and others who wanted smoothies made. She was overworked and overwhelmed. Another mother and I wound up helping the girls in the party with their slime, going so far as to grab the materials needed, hand them out, and help mix and give directions. There were other customers who even arrived, waited at the front door for 5 minutes and then turned around and left due to no one being able to acknowledge them. Our party host did the best she could given the constraints. We've been to many other birthday parties here before and we did not have the same great experience hosting ours. I received an email a few days after the party asking for my feedback, which I filled out honestly. Never heard anything back. ‍ We will return to paint some pottery, but won't ever have a birthday party here.
