Color me mine is a fun afternoon with the family. My eyes popped out of my head at the price tags on the ceramics until one nice lady told me there was a shelf of small ceramics near the back. Very tricky! Once we started painting I really enjoyed the process with my LO. She loves rainbows so now we have a perfect rainbow ceramic fairy. They fire it for you and pick up was a week later.

This place is too exciting not to go! You pay a $10 fee as an adult pretty much to paint , use their materials. It's a studio fee. Then you can pick up whatever you want to paint and pay the price of that item . They have a whole wall of items you can paint - there's a section for kids , kitchen ware, etc. you are going to have a hard time picking I guarantee you . Oh and I was so over adventurous and thought I could paint two things since it won't take that long ( so I thought) JUST PICK ONE ITEM . This place was reasonable . I paid $34 around including the $10 fee. I painted a Mickey mug and let me tell you how difficult it was to get into all the nooks and crannies. Allow your self lots of time if you aren't a regular at arts. We went in at 7 and were the last ones out at 930! Or was it 10? Not sure at this point but yes it did take me well over two hours to paint a Mickey mug . So you don't leave with your masterpiece please keep that in mind . They have to glaze the piece and put it through fire before you can have it . You will most likely leave it there for about a week. Mine was ready is 4 days so it was very exciting . They give you a call when your product is ready for pickup !

Had a fabulous time at Color me mine with my family a party of 7 to celebrate my sisters birthday. It took us 2 to 3 hours to complete painting our pieces but it was so much fun seeing all the different pieces and creations coming alive. Would definitely come again and would recommend others to come and enjoy this experience!

This is a fun, creative activity for both kids and adults! Allow yourself a solid 2 hours if you can swing it, in order to be able to take your time and enjoy the process. First, you select the ceramic piece you'd like to paint. The pieces are priced at $10 and up. They have a wide selection of dinnerware, decor, sports, comic book super heroes, and other pieces to choose from. I looked at several small ones trying to find a $10 one but they were all higher than that, so you may need to ask the staff if you really want something at that price point. Then you choose a table and the staff brings you everything you'll need - paintbrushes, a bowl of water, a palate to choose your colors, etc. They bring over small amounts of each of the paint colors you choose and provide instructions on the number of coats of paint to apply, etc. Then you paint to your heart's content! The staff is really helpful and is happy to refill your paint as necessary. Once finished, you leave your item at the table, pay at the desk ($10 per adult, so the minimum an adult would spend here is $20 including the actual ceramic piece), and your item is ready for pick up 9 days later after being baked in the kiln and varnished! The colors really do turn out very deep and rich so don't worry if you feel like your paint looks too light when you leave it there. I've been to a paint your own pottery studio before in Brooklyn and enjoyed this one just as much. The staff is truly great - professional, courteous, attentive, and genuinely interested in you having a good experience. Definitely stop in when you have some time! This is a great activity for a party -- it sure beats the typical dinner out and you have a great piece of art to show for it afterwards.

What a random place to find! I think it used to be Payless shoes where the establishment is now but I enjoyed the time I spent working on my plate. Usually places like these won't let you fill the colors but the girl working gave me all the colors and tools and needed. Much needed stress reliever!

Tuesday is for 2 people pay only the price of one studio fee :)

We got to choose between a mug, bowl, or plate but you can modify the exact shape or depth and they help you do that! We were there for about two hours and it was plenty of time to make our pottery and paint. Definitely search up some ideas or a Pinterest board for inspiration beforehand since we all spent so long there trying to decide.

I chose this studio…read morebecause I wanted to try out pottery making first with a one day experience ( use the wheel with their expert guidance, create a finished piece and paint the piece). I loved my process during the one day wheel experience and decided to take their 4 week wheel classes. I mostly learned from their staff Danielle and she was an excellent teacher! One day wheel experience - $48 per person - perfect friend hangout or date activity! - make 1 piece on the wheel with expert staff guidance with options to make 1 more piece on your own - paint your piece with engobes paint and pick up your piece after a few weeks! 4 week classes - $200 total- such a good deal! Weekly 1 hr classes that includes all supplies, glazes and firing - make atleast 2 pieces depending on how your skills progress throughout the classes. I made 6 pieces but only took home 4! - I was a beginner so Danielle focused on throwing cylinders. However I wish there could be more variety in throwing different shapes- like a bowl - I learned so much from each class from wedging clay, centering, making even walls, trimming, making and attaching handles I loved my experience here and I'll be back to utilize their studio space for wheel throwing as well as glaze some of their premade pieces

The staff person greeted us promptly, and we found her to be friendly, patient and professional. She quickly set us up at a table. The children picked out their favorite ceramic (a truck and a koala bear) and we then headed over to the paints. You can select a handful of paint colors at a time which you squeeze onto a ceramic palate, and you can get refills or new colors as needed. We spent about an hour painting (the younger one a little less). Once completed the staff collects your work of art and two weeks later you can pick up your kiln fired and glazed masterpieces. There were quite a few ceramics to choose from. Adults might like this place too. Prices that I saw ranged from a low of around $10 to $50 and more depending on the size of the ceramic. We enjoyed our visit here and would be happy to return.

I enjoyed making my "Peepachu" for $17 plus studio time. It was a neat activity to do with friends. I would go back to this CMM again.

This was our first time here, and my daughter's first time painting ceramics and she really enjoyed it! When we first entered we were greeted by a young woman at the front. She asked if we had reservations (which we did not), but that did not seem to matter. She told us what we had to do in regards to picking out the ceramics. There is also an $8.00 studio fee per artist. She gave us a paper to fill out with our info and we went to pick out our ceramics. My daughter chose a cute giraffe piggy bank, and I chose a cupcake box. Once we picked out what we wanted, we told the woman at the front and she got us the materials we needed. We sat down at a table and got to painting. We filled up our palettes with the many different colors of paint they had available. It was so easy to get right into painting. I overheard someone say you should do multiple layers of paint so it will look nice when they glaze it, but my daughter does not have that kind of patience. I tried my best with mine, so we will see how they come out. It took us a little over an hour from start to finish. When you are done you leave your ceramics at the table and go up to the register to pay. It certainly is pricey! They even had a discount on the day we went (Wednesday) for anyone five and under, the studio fee is $1.00. Even with the discount the total amount was $56.00. Yes, obviously the ceramics you pick will affect the price, so just be aware of that. My daughter did have a bit of a meltdown once she realized she had to leave her giraffe there to get the glaze. The woman said we can pick up our ceramics in about two weeks. That seems a bit long, but I assume they are pretty busy. I saw them packing away a bunch of ceramics that had been glazed and there were A LOT. Overall, I had a fun, bonding experience with my daughter at Color Me Mine. It's obviously not something I would do every day, but it was so fun to do something different for once!

This is pretty much a southern/midwest Michael's with a shot testosterone. They have all the crafty kind of stuff your mom, grandmom, and/or wife will love. Need things for your childs report? They've got it. They also have a health dose of western cowboy themed and Jesus loving decor (nothing wrong with either it's just noticeably more then you've probably ever seen in any store in NJ so it really sticks out). The shot of testosterone comes from the jock, greaser, and geek decor. Maybe its to get men in the door (a demographic I feel is mostly ignored in these type of stores) but Lobby has a bunch of pictures, tin signs and other things featuring superheroes, sporting teams and automotive brands. They have lots of cool things to hang in your man cave. From retro looking Texaco signs, paintings of the Batman, and framed pics of Ali (to name a few). We came in looking for a corkboard and chalkboard and they delivered. They had a bunch of options and some had frames or were part of more elaborate hanging items. We ended up getting a preframed corkboard with a unframed chalkboard (that we bought a frame for [from Hobby Lobby]). I wasn't expecting much (thinking it would be just a Michael's clone) but I left impressed and actually liked the store a lot. P.S. log onto the website (from your smartphone) to access a (apparently reoccurring) 40% off one item coupon.
