I just LOVE Color Me Mine! Sometimes you just need an hour or 2 to be creative and just chill! They have a huge selection of pieces to choose from and many color choices as well. Today was my 6th time visiting in just over a year. Each time I bring a friend or one of my grandchildren! The staff is friendly and very helpful. Today's project was a Lighthouse!! Highly recommend! read more

I spent 3 and a half hours with my friend at Color me mine in Menlo Park mall and I came out knowing that I did my absolute best and my monkey came out so fucking cute, and then all of a sudden when I go to pick it up, the eyelash on the left side of its face is completely smudged like somebody took their finger and rubbed it off and why would that happen? I spent so much time on it. and I know for a fact I left it perfect read more

I've come to this location now twice, the first time being several years ago. More recently the studio has moved to the downstairs of the mall. I went here with a friend after work around 6:30pm. Little did we know that Color and Mine closes at 8pm! The staff were nice enough to let us do our project but I definitely think you need more than 1.5 hours even for a small project. I was already feeling a bit rushed which was no one's fault but our own for not checking the timing. We both decided to design a small plate. The staff were helpful in explaining where everything was and different tips to help make our designs better. The designs came out really cute! I would definitely come back but would for sure spend at least 2 hours if not more so I could do a bigger project. read more

This was a really fun experience! My friends and I came for ladies night. We bought our tickets online. The staff were friendly and helpful. The process was pretty straight forward, you pick a ceramic and your colors and get to work. The price ranges for the ceramics vary. It took about 2 hours to paint. Can't wait to pick up the finished product! They have to bake it in a kiln for the glazed look. read more

Color me mine is a fun afternoon with the family. My eyes popped out of my head at the price tags on the ceramics until one nice lady told me there was a shelf of small ceramics near the back. Very tricky! Once we started painting I really enjoyed the process with my LO. She loves rainbows so now we have a perfect rainbow ceramic fairy. They fire it for you and pick up was a week later. read more

The painting experience was fine but we've been waiting for our products to be dried and to be picked up for 3 weeks now. I had to call twice to ask if they were ready to be picked up and was told i was going to receive a text message. So far, no text message. It's been 3 weeks. On top of that, when I called twice ,the attendants were unsure when the products will be ready. read more

Me and my boyfriend had a lot of fun doing two mugs here! The people working there are very helpful and check in often to see whenever you need glaze or any help. read more

This pottery painting place is located in the Menlo Park mall. I signed the kids up for pottery painting and then my husband and I took turns staying with the kids while the other shopped. The kids had a lot of fun and we had a stress free shopping experience! There is a studio fee ($8/child; $10/ adult) plus the cost of the pottery selected (ranges from $20 and up). The process is very similar to other pottery painting places. You need to come back a week later to pick up your finished product. When we came on a Sunday afternoon, they were super busy. There was a birthday party going on. The service could have been much better and quicker but I am hoping this isn't the norm. read more

I haven't done painting in a while and this was a lot of fun. You get to choose whichever pottery you like and you let them know the colors of paint you want. The staffs were super friendly and helpful, providing us with some tips. I thought this was a great activity to bond with kids, partner, friends, etc. I enjoyed it and love the way how my art came out. Can't wait to receive it when it's glazed and baked. read more

This place is too exciting not to go! You pay a $10 fee as an adult pretty much to paint , use their materials. It's a studio fee. Then you can pick up whatever you want to paint and pay the price of that item . They have a whole wall of items you can paint - there's a section for kids , kitchen ware, etc. you are going to have a hard time picking I guarantee you . Oh and I was so over adventurous and thought I could paint two things since it won't take that long ( so I thought) JUST PICK ONE ITEM . This place was reasonable . I paid $34 around including the $10 fee. I painted a Mickey mug and let me tell you how difficult it was to get into all the nooks and crannies. Allow your self lots of time if you aren't a regular at arts. We went in at 7 and were the last ones out at 930! Or was it 10? Not sure at this point but yes it did take me well over two hours to paint a Mickey mug . So you don't leave with your masterpiece please keep that in mind . They have to glaze the piece and put it through fire before you can have it . You will most likely leave it there for about a week. Mine was ready is 4 days so it was very exciting . They give you a call when your product is ready for pickup ! read more

Had a fabulous time at Color me mine with my family a party of 7 to celebrate my sisters birthday. It took us 2 to 3 hours to complete painting our pieces but it was so much fun seeing all the different pieces and creations coming alive. Would definitely come again and would recommend others to come and enjoy this experience! read more

Firstly, I would like to explain my reasoning for the single star I have deemed Color Me Mine worthy of. The sole purpose of my one star is that although nearly a week late, the establishment did eventually give us the products we had paid for. The environment when we had walked in had seemed welcoming, however the service was immediately excruciatingly slow. It took them ten minutes to first approach us about the glaze for the ceramics, even after we had asked for the glaze necessary to commence the project. In addition, the prices were unnecessarily high for the ceramics being sold to us and the service being provided in acquaintance with the projects. Once we had finally finished our endeavor, which had been severely elongated by the aforementioned negligent service, we had given and paid for our ceramic pieces with the promise of receiving our project in five to seven days. On the fifth day, a person from our group called the facility, inquiring about whether the ceramic pieces were ready to be picked up. The caller mentioned that we had a deadline by which we needed the ceramics that we had worked on, and was told that she would be contacted once they were ready. Due to the deadline by which we needed the pieces, we visited the location in person on the seventh day from when we had originally worked on and paid for the projects. When we talked to members of the staff, they originally seemed confused, but eventually went to go check on our pieces. The woman who returned told us conflicting information about the status of our ceramic pieces, and in portions of her transparent placations, blatantly lied to us. Not receiving the ceramic pieces on time was a definite factor in our low rating, but the most influential was the insult we felt after being unabashedly lied to in hopes that our youth characterized us as naive. This establishment did not provide us with an enjoyable experience that it boasts for creating, and therefore is worthy of only a single star of our approval. read more

This place was fun for date night! Had some really great pottery options for us to paint!

This is a fun, creative activity for both kids and adults! Allow yourself a solid 2 hours if you can swing it, in order to be able to take your time and enjoy the process. First, you select the ceramic piece you'd like to paint. The pieces are priced at $10 and up. They have a wide selection of dinnerware, decor, sports, comic book super heroes, and other pieces to choose from. I looked at several small ones trying to find a $10 one but they were all higher than that, so you may need to ask the staff if you really want something at that price point. Then you choose a table and the staff brings you everything you'll need - paintbrushes, a bowl of water, a palate to choose your colors, etc. They bring over small amounts of each of the paint colors you choose and provide instructions on the number of coats of paint to apply, etc. Then you paint to your heart's content! The staff is really helpful and is happy to refill your paint as necessary. Once finished, you leave your item at the table, pay at the desk ($10 per adult, so the minimum an adult would spend here is $20 including the actual ceramic piece), and your item is ready for pick up 9 days later after being baked in the kiln and varnished! The colors really do turn out very deep and rich so don't worry if you feel like your paint looks too light when you leave it there. I've been to a paint your own pottery studio before in Brooklyn and enjoyed this one just as much. The staff is truly great - professional, courteous, attentive, and genuinely interested in you having a good experience. Definitely stop in when you have some time! This is a great activity for a party -- it sure beats the typical dinner out and you have a great piece of art to show for it afterwards. read more

What a random place to find! I think it used to be Payless shoes where the establishment is now but I enjoyed the time I spent working on my plate. Usually places like these won't let you fill the colors but the girl working gave me all the colors and tools and needed. Much needed stress reliever! read more

Came here twice, and had a great experience both times. Really amazing service! They're very kind and friendly. It's really fun and good for all ages. I came with my family and we had so much fun! We sat around and got to bond and catch up on things. Would definitely recommend! read more

Came here on a Tuesday because we wanted to paint and we were pleasantly surprised when they rang us up and told us it was buy one get one free studio fee so we only had to pay $10 between me and my friend (plus the cost of the art pieces) but it was pretty good because we were there for almost 3 hours just painting our mugs he he. I felt a little rushed picking out my art pieces seeing that we were the only two people there in the store. There are so many different pieces to choose from and I was torn between an ice cream, cupcake and fortune cookie lol. But the people who worked there did give us a good tutorial and we just kept asking when we needed more paint. It was a really fun experience and good place to catch up and zen out while you paint. Can't wait to pick up our finished mugs after they've been glazed and baked! I like that it's in the mall too because we were able to stop for jeans, get a bite to eat and do a fun activity! There is a lot of seating here so it doesn't look like it would get too busy and you might not have to wait awhile for a seat here, but even if you did I'm sure you could just look around the mall to pass the time. I think you can just show up during the weekday but you will need a reservation on the weekend. read more

This was such a great experience and the artist Jennifer was so knowledgeable and kind. The selections of figures and paint were pretty good. There's a ten dollar charge on top of the price of the acutal figure you choose to paint. If you need to comeback to finish your painting, there is no charge. I found this to be pretty awesome! I visited this establishment two times. The first time I chose a Buddha and really didn't know what I was doing. I gave this place 4 stars only because the first time I went the staff wasn't too attentive or helpful. The second time was flawless and l like I mention before, Jennifer was a huge help. They didn't have a Batman mug, so she painted the Batman design on a plain mug for me. This place is great for kids and for adults who want to access their inner child. I definitely will return again. read more

I came here today to paint as a celebration with my sister and my boyfriend. The place was clean, the staff was friendly, and we had a great time. I've been here a couple of times already and I absolutely love this place! The ambiance is so welcoming (I love how open it is) and the staff is very helpful. The manager at the Menlo Park Mall location needs to improve her customer service. I went back to pick up my pieces and inquired about the stands. I was told that I was entitled to two stands for the two plates that I created by a member of their staff. After speaking with the front desk staff, I asked to speak with a manager and she told me that she was pretty sure that her staff did not tell me that I was entitled to the two stands. So she basically called me a liar. At any other location, if your staff makes a mistake, the manager will apologize and appease the customer. Well NOT here. I will NEVER go back to this place and I will make it my business to make sure people know what kind of customer service to expect if they chose to go. read more

Wonderful business for all ages! Super friendly staff and owners. It is located next to Nordstrom in the Edison Menlo Mall. My friend and I really enjoyed ourselves and we will be back in the future. They are A++. The pottery came out beautiful. Wonderful experience and it made me interested in working for them or hopefully someday owning my own. :) All the children and other adult customers around us were having fun! read more
