I recently came to this establishment and had mixed feelings about it! The staff are somewhat friendly and don't really assistant you if you need help, at least with me they didn't not. The girl just pointed to the table and said the instructions are on the table. There are many different assortments of pottery to choose from (which is fabulous). The prices range from inexpensive to pretty expensive, depending on size. You are welcome to any colors you may like! The paint is all washable so don't worry if you get any on your clothes - it comes right off! This is definitely a kid friendly place! However, I think bringing little ones up to the age of 3 is tough because a minimum of two coats of paint need to be on the pottery and from experience, that age group are very impatient and lose interest quickly! Don't think you will be taking your pottery home the same day either! You need to leave it in their facility for a week to dry and be glazed before picking it up! The location in itself is not ideal. It is located in the center of Summit and depending on the time of day it extremely hard to find parking on the street (which is meter parking). There is a public parking lot about two blocks away that you pay per hour if you cannot find parking on the street!

I love love love this place. My son and I come here about two times a year or whenever we have a day off from school . We come here and spend some time together painting. Anytime we go we don't have a wait, they set us all up with the item of our choice and off we go. Parking can be a bit of a hassle if you're trying to find parking right in the front. But there is a parking lot around the corner not too far. Overall this is a really cute place to come with kids.

We picked up our ceramics a week later after we painted them they are so beautiful.

This place is very cute i will say that it is target mostly for little children;however, I went with my husband and a friend and we had a blast. We were in our little world painting our little ceramics. They got children ceramics but they also have kitchenware , vases, room decor and other things for adults. I will totally recommend the lotus fairy if you are a girl it is so cute and adorable.

It was ok. There was only one person working (our "designated party host") who also was attending to multiple other painting customers and others who wanted smoothies made. She was overworked and overwhelmed. Another mother and I wound up helping the girls in the party with their slime, going so far as to grab the materials needed, hand them out, and help mix and give directions. There were other customers who even arrived, waited at the front door for 5 minutes and then turned around and left due to no one being able to acknowledge them. Our party host did the best she could given the constraints. We've been to many other birthday parties here before and we did not have the same great experience hosting ours. I received an email a few days after the party asking for my feedback, which I filled out honestly. Never heard anything back. ‍ We will return to paint some pottery, but won't ever have a birthday party here.

A cute and fun activity - something different to do on a day when it's too cold to go outside…read more We stopped by on a Saturday around noon and it was packed. There was a birthday party going on in the party room, and almost every table in the main section was taken. There's a set fee of $9 per painter for the studio fee, and then you pay for the price of whichever piece you select. Then you get to pick five colors to put on your palette. My daughters had fun painting. They are probably little for this activity, but it's been so cold out that we just wanted something new to do. If you have littles I'd just encourage you to pick an easy piece. We actually missed an entire wall of kid friendly pieces, so I wish we knew about that. They have a good selection of pieces to paint, and I can definitely see us coming back here again in the future, and also might even consider it for my daughter's fifth birthday party!

The staff person greeted us promptly, and we found her to be friendly, patient and professional. She quickly set us up at a table. The children picked out their favorite ceramic (a truck and a koala bear) and we then headed over to the paints. You can select a handful of paint colors at a time which you squeeze onto a ceramic palate, and you can get refills or new colors as needed. We spent about an hour painting (the younger one a little less). Once completed the staff collects your work of art and two weeks later you can pick up your kiln fired and glazed masterpieces. There were quite a few ceramics to choose from. Adults might like this place too. Prices that I saw ranged from a low of around $10 to $50 and more depending on the size of the ceramic. We enjoyed our visit here and would be happy to return.

Staff will give you a water bowl to wash your brushes. Once you're finished glazing, you leave your piece with them and they will call you when it's been glazed and ready for pick up. I enjoyed making my "Peepachu" for $17 plus studio time. It was a neat activity to do with friends. I would go back to this CMM again.
