My friend enjoys hands on projects, while I really don't but wanted to do this for her. I have visited a different location a few years ago and thought I could tolerate another project, but honestly was blown away by how interested and happy I was to create my project. I think a lot of it had to do with the staff and the vibes of the place. We were able to bring food and drinks into this location which made the experience even better. Sushi, champagne, French pastries, and a hands-on project was perfect for a Friday night. Our end project was so cute and something we can actually use in our homes. Also, a great place to have a small birthday get together, bridal event or even do with a large group. There is parking in the back also. My only feedback would be that even though it is amazing that its BYOB maybe there should be a limit because there was a man who was drunk, and he was making us uncomfortable with the things he was saying and him trying to touch us. One of the staff members kept trying to divert him back to his project, but he always found a way back to us, or other people.

Margaret was so much more encouraging than my former instructor; she really gave me a much-needed boost of confidence to actually show my work. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful. My only criticism is that the Farmstead instruction room is too well lighted, for my eyes. It's like shopping at the "new and improved" Bernardsville Shop-Rite. It feels like a night-time cop stop with a flashlight shinning in your face. I prefer a more muted experience.

A small museum in a historic building. Truth be told, the building gets most of my stars. I…read morecertainly want to give the museum some money, but there are only two exhibits and you can practically see the first floor exhibit while you're standing at the front desk. The second floor is a bit more expansive, but $7 feels like you should spend more than 15 minutes tops. I was examining the wooden structure, the bends and repairs. We went up the 4th floor stairs to see what was up there (appears to be where you take school kids for a field trip) just to prolong our stay. Ultimately, while I prefer this to the tourist-trap Red Mill across the bridge, honestly, the bridge is my favorite museum in town. I'd skip this next time.

A little overwhelming, but ask the staff and they can help you with your selections. I did notice the very tight space so having more than a small amount of people can be tough to deal with, and bumping into things or people will happen. From the looks of it, the prices are reasonable for the time spent here. Saves you a lot of money instead of throwing it at home...and don't forget the dreaded clean-up.

I went with girlfriends & family for part of my cousin's bachelorette party. We had a BLAST! We brought some wine & snacks, and had the best time. Eileen was great to work with to set up the night - and very accommodating. The people that help run/teach the class were awesome - Lucy was so much fun! We are still talking about what a fun night it was. It was more about getting together and doing something different rather than painting something to bring home and hang. Will be back! I believe some of the children's attention span wandered... and it was absolutely freezing in there... that didn't help the overall experience on a very cold, raw, rainy January day. Some pros were that there was plenty of parking in front on a Sunday. The assistant, Adrianna, was a very pleasant, helpful gem.. and the blankets (those that were finished) came out really cute and soft. Great idea, a little rusty in the execution.

I've stopped in a number of times, usually after I grab a coffee next door and take a peak around. It was on my last visit that I finally took home a few pieces and they are so beautiful, I am sure they won't be my last from here. The shop is a mix of works by several different students and even the owner. I am actually currently drinking my tea out of a mug I got here that I believe was made by the owner herself! It was a splurge gift to myself that I don't regret at all. On that trip I also picked up a beautiful bowl for my mom. It had a swirly almost scallopy rim and such a gorgeous blue glaze. And it was so affordable! This is why I pop in so frequently, there is always something new to admire or maybe even take home. Happy to have them in town to stop into and find incredible, handmade, unique pieces! And maybe eventually I will try my hand at another wheel class one day as well.
