Dad must have been reading my mind b/c he actually said "I think you're grandfather has a couple of those in the basement" while pointing to a set of vinyl suitcases. The entire store is filled, floor to ceiling, with vintage pieces of all sizes and shapes. Big ticket items like tables, chairs and trunks to smaller accessories of baskets & picture frames. The layout and arrangement made it hard to navigate the store and what was more confusing was the location (I think) of the cash register & counter area... I was skeptical to order from art to frames as their prices for custom frames seemed questionably cheap. For context, I am no frame aficionado. I've only just graduated from the naked-posters-haphazardly-covering-every-wall phase of the human life cycle. That being said, I was beyond satisfied with my order! All 3 (very differently sized) frames fit the pieces perfectly, and the quality was consistent. I love all the different options & precise measurements in building frames. They all arrived at my doorstep at the same time despite being ordered in two sittings & my being halfway across the country. I will definitely be ordering from them again. One thing to be wary of-- though I won't knock a star for it-- is that I did receive confusing emails after my 2nd order stating that the items were still waiting in my cart, and offering me discounts if I finished ordering them. When I logged back in, the items weren't in my cart, but I continued to get a couple more emails saying the same thing. I'm assuming I attempted to track the packages too to no avail. I couldn't tell if I had bought them because I had made a bunch of recent payments through Paypal that were indistinguishable, but I remembered the order being confirmed. I decided to just be patient, and lo and behold, they did arrive a week or two later. This would have been an issue if I had needed confirmation, or if I had ordered them twice. Art to Frames, if you're reading this, I love your products and prices but your website is glitching. That's all folks. read more

I ordered my frame online. Throughout the check-out process, it was fairly straightforward and had a lot of options, great for customization. That was perfect because I needed very specific, unique measurements for the print wanted to hang up. Shipping was timely, and the frame arrived safely. For context, I had ordered my frame to have sawtooth hangers as its hanging option, but I was a bit disappointed to find out that I had to hammer them onto the frame myself. At least a sheet of paper with easy-to-understand instructions was provided, but it did take me more time than I'd have liked to have the frame finally set up for use. Also, the cardboard backing for the frame was lower in quality than those of frames I had ordered from other places, as the sides of it constantly left flakes around the frame whenever I tried positioning it, causing me to have to wipe off the acrylic glass more than once. In terms of the measurements, they were pretty accurate, but the height is just slightly lengthier, since it left room for the acrylic glass to slide up and down (as well as the print that I wanted to put in it). Unrelated, I found out that I had measured the width of my print incorrectly, so I couldn't use this frame for my original intention, but I was still able to put it to use for four much smaller prints to save me some extra money, effort, and space instead of having to buy four separate frames for them, ha-ha! read more

My frame is absolutely gorgeous. It's not exactly the color it appeared to be on the website, but being that it is natural wood, in addition to ordering online (where colors can look far different than in person) I knew there was a risk of this happening and was therefore not disappointed when it did. I didn't realize when I ordered it would have Plexiglas and not actual glass, but this is an easy change. The quality of the frame and custom matting is what's most important. It was packaged with extreme care and though it took about 2 weeks, I've waited far longer for traditional in-person frame jobs, not to mention paying exponentially more. The website was a little clunky at times, but still so fun to design my frame on. Below are some pics - and if there's a trick to taking pictures of framed art, I sure don't know it, so excuse my lame photog skills- I tried to get some up close detail pics as well, in addition to a screenshot of what it looked like on the website. Please know that my pictures don't do it justice, they make it look more brown but in person it has some gray tones as well, it's far more beautiful in person. The wood has much more of a natural look/feel than the pictures convey, and I love that all 4 sides have their own character. I couldn't be more excited to give this to my mother for Christmas. Thank you ATF, I will be ordering from you again in the future! read more

I've placed 2 orders with Art to Frames. The first order was a single 3 picture collage with a MDF frame covered in a veneer. The second order was a set of 13 frames in 3 different sizes with all of them using the same veneer covered MDF frame from the 1st order. All of the frames were very well put together with tight joints. The opening in the mat was generally spot on in size although 2 of the picture frames had an opening that was just slightly too large (maybe 1/32 - 1/16 of an inch). The pictures that I were framing all had a 1/4" white border so on these two frames you could see a small amount of white between the mat and the picture. It isn't really noticeable unless you look very close. As others mention you do need to install the hangers yourself which is somewhat annoying but understandable since there is no way for Art to Frame to know if you plan to hang the picture in portrait orientation or landscape. Probably the biggest issue I had was that the glass was sometimes dirty so I had to clean it before installing the picture. Overall I'm very happy with the frames that I received especially given their low price. They look much more expensive than they cost. read more

Amazing customer service! I ordered a frame with incorrect dimensions (my fault for not measuring first), and received it on time as expected. A couple days later, I went to put my piece into the frame and discovered that it was half an inch too big on one side (again, the frame was exactly the size that I had ordered - not their fault!). Unfortunately, it was after business hours on Friday and coming up on Christmas holidays, so I called and left a message and sent an email to customer service. I was somewhat disappointed to not receive a reply on the Wednesday or Thursday after Christmas, so I checked with their "Live Chat" feature on their website on Friday afternoon. I was merely asking about what my options were at that point, but as an apology for not responding to my email, they went ahead and ordered a replacement frame (with the corrected dimensions) at no charge, AND told me to not worry about sending the first frame back! I will definitely be recommending this site to any of my family/friends who need custom-sized frames at prices much lower than any competitor I've found. read more

This is the first time that I have ordered frames from Art to Frames and I must say, I am very pleased! I have been custom framing for many years and, as I no longer work in a frame shape, I occasionally need to order custom sized frames on-line. The pictures of the frames, as represented in the on-lines pictures, are very accurate. The provided profile measurements are perfect. As I can cut my own mats, I only needed to order the frames. What I received was two beautifully assembled frames with corners perfectly mitered. The frames and glass arrived pretty quickly, was very well packaged and came without any damage. I will absolutely order from Art to Frames again! I am including a couple of pictures. I cut a triple opening mat for three little water colors that we bought in Venice last summer. The other piece is a T-Shirt front from Fred's Tavern that I framed for a co-worker. I cut a double mat, black over light blue. I should have taken the pictures before I added the glass so the pictures do not do the frames or completed project justice. Thank you, Art to Frames!! read more

I was so happy to find an online framing resource that could quickly meet my needs! I recently ordered two very large frames (one as large as 36x48") for my pastel artwork. I needed the frames to arrive quickly, so I opted for the rush service and received my frames in mint condition a week after placing my order. This service was much speedier than any other custom framing retailers I have checked out in the past. Additionally, my paintings were not standard sizes, and Art to Frames allowed me to cater my mat opening to the exact dimensions I required. I opted for the Framer's Quality plexiglass, and both pieces of plexiglass were pristine, unscratched, and crystal clear. The only downside is the hefty shipping fee; however, the fragility of large frames makes this an anticipated expense. Overall, I was very happy with my purchase and placed an additional order last week for another large scale frame. I can't wait for it to arrive and to see my artwork complemented by the double mat and durable wooden frame. read more

I could not be more pleased with the frame and mat I ordered for a "paint with diamonds" canvas that I wanted to display. This was a very odd shaped project due to the canvas being measured in centimeters and the frame/mat being measured in inches, but it fit perfectly! My only (extremely minor) issue is that the plexiglass I ordered with the frame and mat has a very small rough spot, so it's not shiny like the rest of the material. I only mention it because it's it's at the top/middle of the piece and can't be buffed out or cleaned off. It's not enough of an issue for me to even contact the company about it. I was VERY pleased with how well everything was packaged. It arrived in a very large cardboard box marked "glass" and it had several cardboard bumpers in the middle of each side of the frame. In addition to that, each corner and side of the frame was wrapped in a thin plastic film that kept each joint nice and tight in transit. I will definitely order from ArtToFrames again! read more

I have been buying collage frames from Art to Frames, usually 5X7 openings since 2016 when my first twin Grandsons were born. I have purchased frames in local franchise stores in the past and was not impressed with the choices, or with the quality for their prices. When I came across this company I gave them a try and just received another frame today to give as a gift. The quality and prices are excellent and you get to choose which hardware you would like. I LOVE the fact that I make the decision on frame and Matt colors. Grant it, I live on Staten Island and get my delivery quite fast. If I have a question they respond with knowledge and professionalism. It's a nice company to work with and I order on line directly through them. I have never been disappointed and would highly recommend them to all. If you love family and memories this is the perfect place for you. read more

OMG! I had recently purchased a bundle of music posters in various sizes and planned to fill a wall in my house. When searching online for frames to match these posters I realized it was impossible, all these posters were in non typical sizes and NO ONE CARRIED THEM. I was beyond upset after if spending all the money on the posters! I soon came along #ArtToFrames on amazon and found that they had ALL the sizes I needed! The prices were cheap, I was able to buy in bundle! I only spent $300 on the whole wall! The frames were shipped in separate, secure boxes, ensuring their safety while shipping. The frames were thick and sturdy and came with easy applicable hooks and nails! I absolutely love them! I am so glad I didn't shop anywhere else. Do you want a great frame at an awesome price? Well, let me tell you, I needed a 9x9 frame and it's not a size you can buy off the shelf in the color you need. Your choices are black or white and that's if you can find the size. I had a couple of 9x9 frames priced at a local store and they wanted to charge me $237.00 after applying a 50% discount for two.(Not gonna happen folks.) Art to Frame was super easy to find in the size needed and the color, which was a coffee tone. And the price? $9.99 each. It was under $30.00 with shipping to Missouri. I will totally use them again and again. The packing was not only perfect, they knew what they were doing. I found my frame store and you need to check them out. It was shipped fast too and very pleased with the product. Good job Frame To Art! read more

A friend with a birthday has recently moved to Canada from Australia and I decided to have poem she had written printed professionally, framed and delivered to her new home. This was my first purchase from Art To Frames and I was blown away by the appearance and quality of the two frames I purchased. I first found them on Amazon, but I discovered it was much easier to select my frames and purchase from their website. The frames are Grey and Black 12x12 for two prints I purchased from Hoyden Press. The frames are very reasonable priced, quickly shipped and delivered on time with excellent quality of the packaging, and super easy to hang with the wire in back. And the wood quality is excellent, almost perfect. I would highly recommend Art To Frames, nothing better for the price that is for sure. I will use them from now on for my framing needs. read more

I was pleased with the look of the frame and the delivery time, which was only a few days after I ordered it. I also appreciated being able to order a frame in a non-standard size. My one issue with the frame was that one corner was chipped on the front by the miter and needed to repaired, which I was able to do myself, and all corners needed a little touch-up with some paint, due to jagged miter cuts. I have framed many pieces myself and also used professional framing services in the past. Being able to frame this piece myself was a lot less expensive, so overall, I am happy with this. I will probably give Art To Frames another try in the future. read more

I love this company. I used to go to one of the main craft box stores to get things framed when they had their semi annual discount sales. It was still more expensive, less options, slower and not as good of quality as what I receive from this company. I have an office with each wall covered in frames and only wish I had known about this company prior to getting all that framed several years ago. So far, I've had three items framed here and each time I've been impressed with my products. I have used Art to Frames for years. I have always loved their products and service. I recently purchased a frame that I thought would fit the tile project I am working on. It was the wrong size and I didn't realize it until 2 weeks after the return window, because ... life got in the way. It wasn't a year later or even a month later. They refuse to exchange it. It is not a custom size. I never took it out of the packaging. I don't want to return it, just to exchange it for the right size. Then they sent me a request to write a review. So here we are. Excellent quality of frames! I had a lot of weird posters and images sizes, and couldn't find any in-store on online to meet needs. Friend told me about their website, which allows you to fully customize your frames from start to finish. For the cheapest set of materials (which I largely sprung for ) a 21X30 frame ran me about 35 bucks. The quality, when I received all 3, was very surprising (in a good way!). I ordered a set of 3 and they all arrived without damage or any issues. I was able to hang them up using command strips, so I can't speak to the quality of the hanging materials it was sent with, but I honestly couldn't be happier! read more

Frames are great and, I believer, reasonably priced. Only complaint: it used to take 6 weeks to get pictures framed prior to the pandemic. Now it takes 10 months. No joke, not an exaggeration. As of this writing, if you bring your pictures to Prints Charming today you won't receive the finished version until next summer.

He quickly understood what we wanted, made suggestions on a couple and made everything look better than I imagined. One item needed a very specific color matting, which the manufacturer doesn't make anymore. So Mike made it!! And it matches perfectly. He was very fast in turning these around, super easy to work with, fair pricing... overall an outstanding experience. We will definitely use Mike again!

I found their frames to be acceptable for my purpose. During my time placing many orders with Level Frames I have had a few minor issues with quality. Whenever these occurred, Indigo took great care to see the issues were rectified as quickly as possible. Most often within two days, on occasion they were fixed the next day. Since their fulfillment center is no more than a few miles from my house, this was very possible. Well the day has arrived for my first show in a year and my last order had issues, again. My show was three days from the time I informed Level Frames of the issues with the mats. This time I was working with Kara. She seemed disinterested in my situation and offered every excuse as to why she couldn't get my replacement mats here in time -or- arrange for me to pick them up at the fulfillment center. Something Indigo offered as an option on numerous occasions. She took the easy way out and offered me a refund of the cost of the mats. That did not solve my problem since the only place near me that cuts customs mats is Michaels and they have a week lead time. There are plenty of online frame businesses. I would suggest that you keep searching. Level frames used to be easy to work with and USED to go out of their way to stand behind their product. Not any more. I had another 16 frames that I needed to order after this show for my next show. I will NOT be working with Level Frames! I suggest you do not either.

I had a very large print that I wanted frame but I still had a lot of questions and needed some recommendations. They emailed me back with a a couple of options for the frame, matting, and the glaze. I asked for their recommendation and I went with what they recommended. I was beyond happy with the end results. The framed looked professional and clean. My print fit perfectly in the frame and I had no issues. To give you an idea of what in ordered, my print was 40" x 55.5". I went with the black frame, no matting, and a non-glare glaze. My total came out to $360 (this was back in 2016) I will definitely be using this service again.
