ZERO STARS: A Coffin-Shaped Nightmare Fueled by Cruelty and Disregard Do not go to Art Nails if I could give zero stars I would. This was, without question, the worst and most heartbreaking salon experience I have ever had. I went in hoping for a relaxing moment to get a new coffin-shaped nail set after an incredibly difficult day--I had just come from a friend's celebration of life. I was emotionally shattered, exhausted, and honestly, crying while on my way to my appointment. The staff consisting of 2 people did not offer an ounce of compassion after asking why I couldn't keep my eyes open and me explainung the reason. In fact, they seemed to take advantage of my vulnerable state. I could barely keep my eyes open from crying, and I believe she rushed and did a horrifically sloppy job because she knew I was too tired to argue and knew I was so tired I was unable to comprehend that the job being done was very sloppily done. Clearly she knew I wasn't able to articulate how bad the nails were. The resulting acrylic set is an embarrassing mess: uneven, some nails thicker then others, visibly crooked, and nothing close to the coffin shape I requested. It looks like a hurried, amateur job. When I paid $60.00 plus almost a $10.00 tip. The lady who did my nails just processed the payment, completely unconcerned about the appalling quality of the nails she just did. This salon lacks basic human decency and professionalism. All they really cared about was what was happening on the T.V or on there phone. If you care about quality work or being treated with respect, do not waste your time or money here. They are callous, rushed, and produce truly awful work. I am devastated I paid them a cent. This is my first review I have ever posted. By far the worst pedicure I've ever had. Was a negative star. I just went to this location with my boyfriend to get us pedicures. Only one person was working he proceeded to do both our pedicures..As he started with my boyfriend's I sat there without even getting to soak my feet. He didn't even rub our feet, (the best part of a pedicure, and the whole reason we went in)! briefly rubbed our legs with lotion. I still have ruff feet. Gave us gel, didn't even ask our preference. Did both of us in 30 minutes. We paid $90 to get basically get our toes painted. I was so mind blown I had to share our experience. read more

Thanks to this "salon", I have been to the ER twice, the Drs. office twice and now have to go see a dermatologist! They used dirty instruments and re-used their liquid products over and over. I got the worst infection I have ever had in my life! I face was so swollen I could not see clearly. I had blisters everywhere. Whatever pathogen they gave me literally ate away at my thumb where she nicked me with the dremel. I was physically sick with fever and chills for two days. I went back in 4 days later to show the owner what happened and he laughed at me and said "she no touch your face". I told him she did t have to touch my face, I did that but since she gave a horrible infection through the cut by using nasty equipment and product it spread everywhere, including my face. I will never go here again and if you care about your health, you won't either. I will recover my costs but that won't help the next unsuspecting person from contracting what I have/had. RUDE PEOPLE. If I could give it a negative I would. I came in with my two year old to get my toes painted. My toes look like shit, a toddler could have done a better job, after I paid her, I was still talking to one of the other clients, and she proceeded to open the door and shoe me and my son out, I have never felt so unwelcome. My dearest friend bought me a gift certificate to art nails in Anderson California. Today was the day I decided to use it, and I had a pedicure and wax for my eyebrows. The person who did my spa pedicure was MAN. He gave me a leg and foot massage that was worth it's weight in gold. He did an amazing job. He also painted my toenails in a beautiful red color. I would give him a 10 out of 10. He was awesome. Vivian worked on my eyebrows, and she was amazing too. She was fast, professional, friendly, and she did an excellent job. This salon was recommended to me by my friend, I made an appointment, I wanted a dip they said they don't do dips gel is better. I had a mani-pedi done. I picked out some really pretty colors premier gold for my toes and Deep Aqua for my nails. The lady did my toes and I am not sure she knew exactly what she was doing but my toes look great. The man showed me a dip nails that they do do but there was no big selection. I love the color for my main but my nails are very weak and don't feel as strong as they were with the dip. I am disappointed to say the least. I can't wait to have my nails re-done but I will be going back to where I started with my former salon. I love the colors I picked but I really wanted a dip on my nails and gel on my toes. Very disappointed. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. After a decent pedicure, I reluctantly let the woman "Clean" up my eyebrows. I told her i was letting my eyebrows grow thicker so please do not make them any thinner! I should've known better. What I got was uneven, thin, extremely arched eyebrows. Wow... not super friendly and I got a guy. I try to be open minded but I've never had a good experience with a guy doing my nails. He's rough and seriously unfriendly. This is not a good experience so far and I'm not even to the polish portion yet. I don't think he's enjoying this job at all. He was decent at the foot and leg massage portion but it kinda made me uncomfortable at the same time. This place isn't very clean either. First visit to this nail place and probably my last. Just wanted a plain old manicure...no fancy stuff, they kept trying to talk me into the fancy stuff like gel. No thanks, just a manicure. Well, that didn't fit into their agenda but the guy sat me down and within 12-15 minutes I was finished. No cream massage on my hands, alittle oil on my nails and palms, clip of the nails, and 2 coats of polish with a finishing coat. Came out to $1.00 a minute and I gave him a tip on top of that!!! No thank you as I walked out the door, thought they were the ones providing a service and they could of cared less that I was there. So...lots of other nail places around...tried but not going back. I worked hard for my money too and I always made sure that I thanked the people for their time when I was providing the service. I would avoid this place!! It's by far the worst pedi I've ever had! Been getting pedis in Redding area for around 20yrs! It is cheap but they do not even turn the massage chair on it soak your feet while you wait!! I sat for 35 min with only acetone applied to my previous gel polish & some foil wrapped on! Shocking! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! would give zero stars if I could. I got a pedicure here and was completely dissatisfied. They use a grinder on your toenails which I'm not comfortable with. I asked them not to scrub the top half of my foot because I'm ticklish, she did so anyways even though I was in obvious discomfort with it. The massage for both feet didn't even last five minutes and my heels weren't touched at all, not even with lotion. I regret spending the money here instead of going somewhere worth it. It was not a relaxing experience. I'm usually fully relaxed after a pedicure, after this experience my feel are still hurting, and for some reason very itchy which worries me. Wish I could give less than one star. Walked in, the "nail tech" had her dirty bare feet ON the area where customers put their hands for support on the black vinyl pillow cushions. She was slouched sitting in the clients chair like a slug I would have left right there, but needed a torn nail fixed, so proceeded by avoiding putting my hands/arms on the hand support. She tore off my existing acrylic, damaging my nails and started to superglue my torn nail. At this point I took my hand away, said "never mind" and she asked "what do you want!" Which had been in heavy repetition...in the one minute I was at down. Her overall feel was rough, she grabbed my hand and was hasty and rude in her tone and overall touch. As I left, she said a loud curse in Vietnamese. I'm half Vietnamese and know a few words... I'm visiting the area and my mother in law lives here, and told me that she went here once, only to be overcharged and having them do a sloppy job. So she decided never to go again. In addition, their practices are not sanitary. Feet on the cushion support for customers? Disgusting!. This place was dead when I went in, and I now know why. Clearly, this nail tech hates her job and her life. So The last thing I will do is let that dampen my day. :) Anywho...this place is the rudest, dirtiest, most disgusting nail places I've ever experienced. But I did not get mad, because it's not worth my energy. I've been to plenty of asian nail salons where it is nice and clean. I'm thankful to have yelp, and to be able to help others avoid this horrible place. GOODLUCK you sh***y salon. I'm sure you'll be out of business soon and you deserve it. Stopped in last minute for a pedicure. I am from out of town and this was the first place I saw open on a Sunday. Pleasant demeanors and no wait time. Opted for spa pedicure. The guy was super quick and efficient. Could have spent a little more time rubbing my feet. Was a bit rough with cuticle pusher. Perhaps not so rough nail files and nail brush. Overall not terrible, price seems pretty reasonable and comparable to my home town in the Bay Area. read more

I made an appointment for 3:30 didn't get started tell 4pm! I got a pedicure that was maybe 10-15 mins long! Very quick and did the very least! Cost me $40 sign stated $35! The pedicure is very sloppy! Horrible paint job! I then stated I wanted a full set of pink and whites! She put on clear tips and hand painted the pink and them painted on the white tips! Which I said I've never got pink and whites this way. She stated ohhh it lasts longer! Her lines on her tips were very sloppy and messed up areas. When I asked her to fix she stated ohh it's fine my brush just hit it! I stated so you want me to leave them messed up??? So she proceeded to finally fix the messed up area! The whole time I noticed her short cuts when painting and asked her to please paint more in the areas she missed! Every time o asked her to fix her mess up she stated ohhh it's fine! They weren't super talkative and the young girl that did my nails didn't seem too friendly but was never rude. I had my two year old with me and they even gave her her own chair to sit in.
