Highly recommend this salon for all your needs. Pascale did an amazing job with my blonde balayage. She saved my hair that was turning into a brassy mess and I looked like a lioness. She took her time to make sure that the brassy would not come back Sarah was amazing at redoing my taped in extensions. She was quick and made sure every extension was properly placed. read more

I moved to Chicago from DC and was so nervous about finding a good salon since I color my hair. I discovered Arsova a year ago and I am so happy that I did! Autumn has colored my hair for me twice and done a fantastic job both of times - she really goes out of her way to listen to what I want & makes sure we are on the same page prior to her doing anything to my hair. I have gotten so many compliments each time she has highlighted my hair & I always look forward to my appointments with her because she is always really pleasant to talk to! Most recently, Noel cut my hair today & it was my first time seeing him for a haircut but it won't be the last! He gave me a great haircut & the entire experience felt very relaxing - we also traded travel stories and he had me laughing the entire time. If you are looking for a great cut and/or color I can't recommend this salon enough - not to mention their new space is stunning! Thank you Arsova! read more

Would definitely recommend booking an appointment with Hanna! read more

Arsova salon always makes me come out of there feeling amazing! I loooove my hair! I loved my hair through quarantine too even when it was long due for a cut. In the last year I have been approached by different hairstylist asking me to do my hair, but no way! I am a loyal customer to Arsova salon and wouldn't change it for anything. Amazing customer service, lovely conversations, and I get to be pampered. My hair is well taken care of at the salon and after as Anita is always sharing home hair care in between visits. read more

I got my hair colored at a salon in Ohio where I'm from and the highlights were so stripey and just made my brown hair a flat blonde shade that I just did not like at all. The steaks were especially pronounced when k put my hair up (the before pictures) and I knew I had to fix it since I was going to get getting married in two months. I had this salon recommended to me so I scheduled a free consultation with Kara and she was SO nice and helpful and really understood what I wanted. My schedule is very tight and she really worked with me to squeeze me in later that same day since she had some time. I am so happy I had her tone my hair!!! She turned me back into a brunette but left some lighter pieces by my face and throughout in a much more natural way that really complemented my skin tone. She absolutely turned my overly bleached hair into what I really wanted all along. I am so thankful I found Kara and this salon!! read more

Worst haircut of my life. And that's saying a lot. I told the stylist that I wanted to keep it on the longer side and add in some layers. I referenced a photo that had a beachy haircut vibe so that he knew what look I was going for. What resulted is an embarrassment to this salon, something akin to a mullet with another haircut on top of it. I had to get three more inches cut off by another stylist (not at this salon) to have it fixed. The person who fixed it was stunned at what I had been left to walk around with. I'm not sure why this happened by a professional in a highly regarded salon, but clearly this individual should stick to balayage and not be allowed to touch a pair of scissors - ever. The unfortunate part is my previously long hair is now shoulder length - it'll be months before I'm able to get back to where it was. read more

I have seen Anita twice at this salon, and both experiences have been awesome. She really understands hair and knows how to use her talents to customize color and style. I am Asian with medium texture and naturally dark hair. I've been lightening my hair to blonde over 4 years and have been to a few stylists that unfortunately do not have the skill set to achieve my goals. I found Anita through Yelp and after seeing her fabulous portfolio and learned that she uses Aveda and Wella color systems, I reached out for more information. She is always professional and replies honestly to all of my questions. The best part about Anita is how she manages expectations and is very honest about the process of obtaining goals. All I need to do is show her pictures of what I'm looking for and inform her of my concerns and she gets the job done! Both times, she exceeded my expectations. She cut my hair at my second appointment and I love it too! I used to have a separate colorist and stylist, now I found the complete package with Anita. She is the only professional that takes the appropriate amount of time to do my hair, never rushed. My hubby got a haircut with Nolan and he took his time to cut my hubby's unruly hair. It turned out fantastic. If you're looking for quality with long term considerations for your hair, Anita and her team are the perfect package. read more

I discovered Arsova nearly 2 years ago on Instagram as I searched for the best balayage colorist(s) in Chicago. Anita's name and her work were consistent front runners during my search. Fast forward and she and her talented stylists are in a new, hip, modern loft space and even closer to where I live! A month ago, I had tape-in hair extensions expertly installed by Anita. The look is amazing! I get daily compliments on my hair and when I reveal I have extensions (only to my closest gal pals) the response is always: 'Wow! The color match is fantastic!' Admittedly, I strayed from Anita and Arsova for about 6 months. Never, ever again. She's seen me twice since I decided to return and the second time was for my extensions. I can't say enough nice things about Anita and her great staff and salon. I have recommended them to several friends and each one leaves happy. Make an appointment, you won't be disappointed! read more

If you are looking for an Instagram worthy bayalage, Arsova salon is the place! I recently moved to Chicago and was putting off a finding a new salon. Eventually when my current bayalage was fading out and my ends were dead I knew I had to do my search. I was searching for salons that specialized in the bayalage hairstyle. Through Instagram and Yelp I came upon Arsova Salon - I was extremely impressed with the photos. I read amazing reviews about Anita so I made an appointment with her. BEST DECISION EVER!! Every staff that I interacted there was super friendly. They really did a great job making me feel at home offering water, tea, and wine later in the night. The space is absolutely gorgeous. Anita is absolutely amazing. First of all, just like everyone has said in the reviews, she really takes the time to understand what you want. She also communicated every step in they process and explained the purpose of what she was doing. She was also really fun to talk to and I could easily connect with her. For me personally, nothing is more uncomfortable than having a stylist you can't connect with. I was BEYOND happy with how she transformed my hair. She transformed my long dead brass hair to a shiny healthy chocolate brown. She was able to match the color with the pictures I showed her!! I felt so beautiful and she even curled my hair with natural beach waves. If you have recently moved to Chicago or are looking for a new stylist, I would highly recommend Anita! She is very knowledgeable, communicative, and sweet. read more

Brea cancels/reschedules appointments regularly and would sometimes wait until I was in the salon to do so. Brea outwardly spoke about other clients she did not like and would share how she ended those relationships via text message. I was always worried she talked about me this way. Nevertheless, I supported Brea and Arsova Salon during the pandemic by purchasing gift cards and sending her money directly because it was such a difficult time for people in the services industry. I wish Brea the best. If Arsova Salon would like to talk through these experiences, I am happy to do it. read more

I went to this salon today based on positive reviews and booked a full balayage ($260). I ended up with hair that looks exactly the same except for two blonde streaks in the front. I told the hairdresser and assistant I was unhappy with it, but they blamed my use of box dye preventing my hair from lifting. I used a semipermanent box dye 1 time about a year ago that was approximately 2 shades darker than my natural hair color, and the front of my hair lifted so I know it was capable of lifting further. Here's what I got versus what I asked for. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. RUDE MANAGER. SAVE YOUR TIME. SAVE YOUR MONEY. I was a new client, booked for a full highlight and cut. The cut was fine, the highlight took 4.5 hours (usually takes 3.5 hours max elsewhere). In the end, after all that time and $400+ later, the stylists didn't completely dry my hair and ran out of time to style it, and it was not the color I asked for. It was darker and more brassy. I voiced this right away to my stylist who told me this was as light as he could go, and to sit with a few days. I left very disappointed, and exhausted at having been there for so long. I still tipped him 20% to honor his time, despite being very unhappy with the outcome. After a few days, I was still not happy. I called to ask for a refund for the color portion as I was not wanting to go in and spend another 4+ hours in the salon during Covid, after already feeling a lack of confidence that the color could be fixed. The manager combatively told me I had to come in for her to look at my hair and that they didn't offer refunds. I was reluctant to have to make another visit into the salon (more time for an already bad experience) but was given no choice. The manager looked at my hair stating that my hair wasn't healthy enough to be highlighted/fixed, and that she saw no issue with the color. DOESN'T MATTER what you think. Your new client was not happy with the outcome. As a manager, you should problem solve and make the Guest feel heard. I had to push back pretty firmly, asking for a refund for the color portion if they were unwilling to fix the color after giving them two opportunities to do so. She would not, but offered the equivalent of that in products as a "make good". While no where near what I would deem as a solution, it was literally the only offer the manager would provide. She went in the back of the salon and came out with a bag of lots of products. But not the product they sell in the store (Oribe.) Frustrated by this, I just kept my mouth shut to avoid even more conflict. Upon opening the random selection of products a few days later, I discovered they were USED!! One scalp scrub product literally had hand scoops out of the center of the tub, while another conditioner she gave was half full. GROSS! (especially during COVID!) I can forgive a color service not being right the first time, but expect them to fix it if given a chance. Not dig your heels in and offer used products as some sort of solution. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. SAVE YOUR TIME. SAVE YOUR MONEY. read more

I came to Arsova to get some balayage done. Keith took great care of me! I asked for a natural looking and ashier/cooler-toned balayage and that's exactly what he gave me. He also gave me a trim with layers while keeping my length. I had existing color in various stages of growing out but when he was done you would never have known. The last time I'd had balayage done before this (at a different salon) I had to go back same day to get re-toned because they didn't get the color quite right on the first try. Not the case here. I'm super happy with the result and have gotten a lot of compliments. It's lightened & warmed up a bit with time as expected so I'm going back in to get it toned again soon. Also, the salon was full of women getting balayage and highlights so it seems like a reliable place to get either done. read more

Disappointing experience to say the least. My entire appointment lasted no more than 20 minutes and I have long hair requiring a trim, layers, and thinning out. I was brought back to the salon chair to set my purse down and then immediately directed to the wash area. My hair was trimmed while wet and then styled. My stylist did not dry cut my hair, add layers or texture, and did not thin out my hair as I asked. I've never had a salon experience like this and it is definitely not what I'm expecting when I'm paying 75+ for a haircut. I've been an Aveda salon customer for 20+ years.... I'm disappointed to say I could have probably gotten a better haircut at a value chain salon. I would not recommend. read more

Arsova Salon - So in love with my hair extensions from Anita at Arsova. - Hair Salons Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

There is another factor besides what the end result of my hair looks like that I look for in a salon; hospitality & customer service. When you walk into the Arsova, you immediately feel welcomed and important. I got my hair done by the fabulous Anita. She was so easy to talk to, as she listened very well to what I wanted while I also showed her pictures of said looks. She was more attentive than any other stylist I've been too. She also added her input, which I always appreciate! I had plans to donate 10 inches to Locks of Love from this hair cut....I actually ended up donating 14 inches. I never thought I'd be rockin' a lob, a long bob, in my 20's, but I absolutely love it! I am so glad I took a chance on short hair for the sake of the children who need it, but I am also very glad I took a chance on Anita. I will definitely be coming back soon, especially to update my balayage and to keep my long bob looking fabulous. I typically from one salon to the next, because I have never found a stylist's work or a salon's customer service/atmosphere that have met my expectations. Anita and her lovely trainee definitely exceeded any expectations I had this past Thursday. Thank you so much Anita & the rest of the staff at Arsova. You are gems. :) (I will be adding my before/after pictures to the photos section. I apologize in advance for any mirror selfie(s) I may post. Just moved back to Chicago after 5 years of living in Las Vegas & I had to find the right hair salon. Hair is a precious thing and for some an investment. I've modeled for 10 years so I need to trust the right people with my hair. I've been going back & forth with keeping it long or chopping it shorter. I always thought long hair looked the best, but I was itching for something different. I contacted Arsova Salon & they booked me an appointment with the owner Anita. I wanted to get her opinion, she did love my long hair but I think she could tell I wanted to try something different & wanted my hair to feel really thick and clean cut. She went with a long bob aka a LOB, she even went with a gloss close to my natural hair & I love it!! I've gotten so many compliments! I highly recommend checking out Arsova Salon. It's absolutely gorgeous & not to mention they have great procedures & social distancing for COVID. Thank you again Anita, you are amazing & super sweet. read more

Arsova Salon - Long Bob Hair Cut & Gloss - Hair Salons Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I highly highly highly recommend Arsova Salon for all your hair needs. I have an irrational fear of something bad happening to my hair. I got sick as a teenager and had to go through plenty of MRI's and that affected my hair and how it grows. Growing up, my hair would reach all the way down to my bottom, but after getting sick, the longest it's ever grown to was a little bit over my shoulders. I also have somewhat curly and heat damaged hair, so that doesn't really help either, however, after coming to Arsova Salon for the past 3 years, my hair has never felt so healthy. Anita is my stylist. I don't trust any other human being with my hair except her. She knows how scared I am of losing length with my hair and she always always makes sure to trim out the split ends without taking out too much length. Her blowouts make my hair feel so thick and full of volume. Last week, I decided to try the Olaplex Treatment. The salon offers Olaplex No. 1 and 2, and you have the options to buy the rest of the treatments (No. 3 to 6) to use at home. My hair has never been this shiny and it's falling out a lot less ever since I got the trim and the treatment. Anita also took the time to give me plenty of suggestions for my hair and how to take care of it. This hair salon is super high end with extremely reasonable prices. Every single hair stylist is super talented and they will always listen and do exactly what you want and need. If you are looking for a hair salon that actually cares about its customers satisfaction, then this is the hair salon for you! I'm planing to get the Keratin Treatment for the summer next time I'm here for a trim, and hopefully, once my hair is healthy enough, to get it colored! Thank you Arsova Salon, see you next time! read more

Arsova Salon - Anita has always done a great job on cutting my hair and coloring! - Hair Salons Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I was extremely disappointed by my visit to Arsova yesterday. I was excited to try someplace new, especially after reading all the glowing reviews. I made it pretty clear to my stylist that I wanted to keep most of the length and just lighten up some of the heavy layers after 3 months of growth - a very simple ask. I ended up with what looks like if I had asked for a bob, but he stopped half way. There are above chin-length cuts that go too far toward the back of my head - not your typical "face framing" (but a contender for a mullet). It's so choppy and abrupt it looks like I cut my hair myself with garden shears. I have nothing against the stylist, who was very personable, but am puzzled given all the praise he has received. I'm not sure what happened - if he got distracted, or decided to take creative liberties - but I'm extremely upset with the end result, especially given the price tag. I will not be back. read more

Updating my review. I went back and got color touch up done by David. I have to say my experience this time was much better. I would definitely go back for color. Anita was there and made sure everything went smoothly. The salon was empty since it was late but David was friendly, experienced and did a really nice job with the color. I had some great conversation as well so it wasn't awkward or boring. Looks like the reviews are getting better for this salon and attributed to the staff. The only thing I would suggest is better cleaning of the shampoo chairs (hair) and hair over the stations. Also some facility updates would be nice. I think changes were done recently so it does look better lighter versus dark in the salon. read more
