I got my hair colored at a salon in Ohio where I'm from and the highlights were so stripey and just made my brown hair a flat blonde shade that I just did not like at all. The steaks were especially pronounced when k put my hair up (the before pictures) and I knew I had to fix it since I was going to get getting married in two months. I had this salon recommended to me so I scheduled a free consultation with Kara and she was SO nice and helpful and really understood what I wanted. My schedule is very tight and she really worked with me to squeeze me in later that same day since she had some time. I am so happy I had her tone my hair!!! She turned me back into a brunette but left some lighter pieces by my face and throughout in a much more natural way that really complemented my skin tone. Worst haircut of my life. And that's saying a lot. I told the stylist that I wanted to keep it on the longer side and add in some layers. I referenced a photo that had a beachy haircut vibe so that he knew what look I was going for. What resulted is an embarrassment to this salon, something akin to a mullet with another haircut on top of it. I had to get three more inches cut off by another stylist (not at this salon) to have it fixed. The person who fixed it was stunned at what I had been left to walk around with. I'm not sure why this happened by a professional in a highly regarded salon, but clearly this individual should stick to balayage and not be allowed to touch a pair of scissors - ever. Brea cancels/reschedules appointments regularly and would sometimes wait until I was in the salon to do so. Brea outwardly spoke about other clients she did not like and would share how she ended those relationships via text message. I was always worried she talked about me this way. Nevertheless, I supported Brea and Arsova Salon during the pandemic by purchasing gift cards and sending her money directly because it was such a difficult time for people in the services industry. I went to this salon today based on positive reviews and booked a full balayage ($260). I ended up with hair that looks exactly the same except for two blonde streaks in the front. I told the hairdresser and assistant I was unhappy with it, but they blamed my use of box dye preventing my hair from lifting. I used a semipermanent box dye 1 time about a year ago that was approximately 2 shades darker than my natural hair color, and the front of my hair lifted so I know it was capable of lifting further. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. RUDE MANAGER. SAVE YOUR TIME. SAVE YOUR MONEY. I was a new client, booked for a full highlight and cut. The cut was fine, the highlight took 4.5 hours (usually takes 3.5 hours max elsewhere). In the end, after all that time and $400+ later, the stylists didn't completely dry my hair and ran out of time to style it, and it was not the color I asked for. It was darker and more brassy. I voiced this right away to my stylist who told me this was as light as he could go, and to sit with a few days. I left very disappointed, and exhausted at having been there for so long. I still tipped him 20% to honor his time, despite being very unhappy with the outcome. After a few days, I was still not happy. I called to ask for a refund for the color portion as I was not wanting to go in and spend another 4+ hours in the salon during Covid, after already feeling a lack of confidence that the color could be fixed. The manager combatively told me I had to come in for her to look at my hair and that they didn't offer refunds. I was reluctant to have to make another visit into the salon (more time for an already bad experience) but was given no choice. The manager looked at my hair stating that my hair wasn't healthy enough to be highlighted/fixed, and that she saw no issue with the color. DOESN'T MATTER what you think. Your new client was not happy with the outcome. As a manager, you should problem solve and make the Guest feel heard. I had to push back pretty firmly, asking for a refund for the color portion if they were unwilling to fix the color after giving them two opportunities to do so. She would not, but offered the equivalent of that in products as a "make good". While no where near what I would deem as a solution, it was literally the only offer the manager would provide. She went in the back of the salon and came out with a bag of lots of products. But not the product they sell in the store (Oribe.) Frustrated by this, I just kept my mouth shut to avoid even more conflict. Upon opening the random selection of products a few days later, I discovered they were USED!! One scalp scrub product literally had hand scoops out of the center of the tub, while another conditioner she gave was half full. GROSS! (especially during COVID!) I can forgive a color service not being right the first time, but expect them to fix it if given a chance. Not dig your heels in and offer used products as some sort of solution. I came to Arsova to get some balayage done. Keith took great care of me! I asked for a natural looking and ashier/cooler-toned balayage and that's exactly what he gave me. He also gave me a trim with layers while keeping my length. I had existing color in various stages of growing out but when he was done you would never have known. The last time I'd had balayage done before this (at a different salon) I had to go back same day to get re-toned because they didn't get the color quite right on the first try. Not the case here. I'm super happy with the result and have gotten a lot of compliments. It's lightened & warmed up a bit with time as expected so I'm going back in to get it toned again soon. Disappointing experience to say the least. My entire appointment lasted no more than 20 minutes and I have long hair requiring a trim, layers, and thinning out. I was brought back to the salon chair to set my purse down and then immediately directed to the wash area. My hair was trimmed while wet and then styled. My stylist did not dry cut my hair, add layers or texture, and did not thin out my hair as I asked. I've never had a salon experience like this and it is definitely not what I'm expecting when I'm paying 75+ for a haircut. I've been an Aveda salon customer for 20+ years.... I'm disappointed to say I could have probably gotten a better haircut at a value chain salon. I would not recommend. read more

I highly highly highly recommend Arsova Salon for all your hair needs. I have an irrational fear of something bad happening to my hair. I got sick as a teenager and had to go through plenty of MRI's and that affected my hair and how it grows. Growing up, my hair would reach all the way down to my bottom, but after getting sick, the longest it's ever grown to was a little bit over my shoulders. I also have somewhat curly and heat damaged hair, so that doesn't really help either, however, after coming to Arsova Salon for the past 3 years, my hair has never felt so healthy. Anita is my stylist. I don't trust any other human being with my hair except her. She knows how scared I am of losing length with my hair and she always always makes sure to trim out the split ends without taking out too much length. Her blowouts make my hair feel so thick and full of volume. Last week, I decided to try the Olaplex Treatment. The salon offers Olaplex No. 1 and 2, and you have the options to buy the rest of the treatments (No. 3 to 6) to use at home. My hair has never been this shiny and it's falling out a lot less ever since I got the trim and the treatment. Anita also took the time to give me plenty of suggestions for my hair and how to take care of it. This hair salon is super high end with extremely reasonable prices. Every single hair stylist is super talented and they will always listen and do exactly what you want and need. If you are looking for a hair salon that actually cares about its customers satisfaction, then this is the hair salon for you! I'm planing to get the Keratin Treatment for the summer next time I'm here for a trim, and hopefully, once my hair is healthy enough, to get it colored! I was extremely disappointed by my visit to Arsova yesterday. I was excited to try someplace new, especially after reading all the glowing reviews. I made it pretty clear to my stylist that I wanted to keep most of the length and just lighten up some of the heavy layers after 3 months of growth - a very simple ask. I ended up with what looks like if I had asked for a bob, but he stopped half way. There are above chin-length cuts that go too far toward the back of my head - not your typical "face framing" (but a contender for a mullet). It's so choppy and abrupt it looks like I cut my hair myself with garden shears. I have nothing against the stylist, who was very personable, but am puzzled given all the praise he has received. I'm not sure what happened - if he got distracted, or decided to take creative liberties - but I'm extremely upset with the end result, especially given the price tag. I will not be back. read more

I am new to this salon, that is why I was set up with a stylist who is leaving a salon (just to fill a gap) just for one time. She colored my roots in a reddish color according to a formula I gave her by mistake. She (Lauren Lazarski) didn't ask me wether I wanted my roots lighter than lengths (which is will be weird) and dyed my roots an awful reddish color. There is another factor besides what the end result of my hair looks like that I look for in a salon; hospitality & customer service. When you walk into the Arsova, you immediately feel welcomed and important. I got my hair done by the fabulous Anita. She was so easy to talk to, as she listened very well to what I wanted while I also showed her pictures of said looks. She was more attentive than any other stylist I've been too. She also added her input, which I always appreciate! I had plans to donate 10 inches to Locks of Love from this hair cut....I actually ended up donating 14 inches. I never thought I'd be rockin' a lob, a long bob, in my 20's, but I absolutely love it! I am so glad I took a chance on short hair for the sake of the children who need it, but I am also very glad I took a chance on Anita.
