Salmon Arroyo Salad

So so tasty! I almost forgot to take in the gorgeous scenery of the course :) Trust Kayla with anything she says to get!

My mistaken order! I forgot to photograph the correct order of B & G, country potatoes, and eggs O/E.

After my dental appt I decided to eat breakfast here. I craved SOS aka Sh** on a Shingle; otherwise known as creamed beef on toast. Well wouldn't you know it; they don't serve it anymore. With all the retired military vets here, I'm surprised. So I ordered the next best thing, biscuits and gravy. I haven't had coffee all morning so I ordered a cup. I was surprised when the server brought me coffee in a paper cup. I looked around and everyone else were drinking theirs in ceramic mugs. WTH! Something fishy is going on. The last time I came here after golf I ordered a beer. It was served to me in a plastic cup. I observed everyone else drinking theirs out of beer glasses. What is going on here. You can imagine what I was thinking. My food arrived a short time later, but it was the wrong order. I ordered B&G, eggs O/E, and country potatoes. The plate in front of me had scrambled eggs and hash browns along with B & G. The server brought out the correct order a couple minutes later. She claimed she had the wrong ticket. Luckily I didn't touch the meal. I did add pepper to the B & G however. Now to my breakfast. Ok! The biscuits were very dry. I think they're store bought. They appeared old and not freshly baked. My country potatoes were nothing more than deep fried potatoes thrown on the plate. There were no onions or peppers. I don't know if there is a new cook or not, but the black guy that used to be there could cook. Maybe that's who use to prepare the SOS!

I'm so happy we stopped in today! The food is some of the best in town. I highly recommend the Arroyo Pop-Over - great combination of flavors with just the right amount of punch with the chipotle sauce on top. The servers were very friendly but unfortunately we had to get up most of the time to get drinks and our check. Maybe it was an off day, we just felt forgotten about. But all in all, great food and greats views!

The service was good. The food was good. I happened to have visited this restaurant during a golf tournament unknowingly so it was very very busy. Not the restaurant in general but the parking lot was very full and people were everywhere. I suppose if you want a relaxing serene environment maybe call to make sure there isn't a golf tournament going on before you go. But if busy, busy is your thing then no need to worry about it. Maricopa in general doesn't have much to offer so for now it's a nice place to go if you're not wanting to commute out of the city. Maybe a nice place to take your visiting relatives. The prices seem average or slightly higher than average.

Always great service and consistently good food. I usually get the ribeye which is cooked perfectly med. rare as I like it. My wife has ordered a variety of different entrees, all of which have been very good. Servers are efficient and friendly. They often have specialty desserts, which are delicious.

The 15th Club - pretty good! And hubby got the cod

Loved this place! So beautiful and peaceful. Food was good and service was great. We will definitely be back

It's a favorite for my mom, so we took family for lunch when they were visiting over the holidays, and I still did a reservation just to be safe. We didn't bring kiddos with us this trip, but have in the past, and they were pleased with the kids menu offerings. Wally's has an old-school vibe with shiny wood paneling, cozy booths, and music that lets you hold an inside-voice conversation. They consistently do a 10/10 take on American classics. This trip we got Noble Rolls, soup, Fish N Chips, Braised Short Ribs, a burger, and an Apple cobbler for dessert. First, a round of applause for the rolls. They were warm, they were buttery, they had melty butter and flaky salt on top, and they were from local makers Noble Bread. I would like to eat these every day. The rolls were the absolute epitome of comfort food. The my went nicely with the soup of the day which happened to be a creamy chicken corn chowder and was great! They didn't skimp on the chicken and the broth was so flavorful. The fish was breaded and nicely crispy outside, while the meat was tender. The fries were shoe string, crunchy and well-seasoned. The short rib was fall-apart tender and the gravy on top was incredible, we all commented we just wish there had been more. The horseradish mashed potatoes were outstanding, bursting with flavor without being too much, and wonderfully creamy. My husband also loved his burger. As for the cobbler it was good, but served kind of cold - like cold in spots, so maybe they let it sit to bring it to temp but forgot to warm it.?. It would've been much better served warm. The server was okay - never rude, but a little aloof. We were in for lunch on a pretty quiet day, so he wasn't overwhelmed, but he still wandered away mid-order/ mid-conversation a couple of times. I appreciated that he tried to keep up with our drinks tho.

If you look up, though, you will see that Wally's has misters for those hot nights. There is also an indoor seating area. It looks like it will seat as many as were outside. It's a place for all seasons. No one in my party of five complained about the food. We all liked the service. Mine was Pasta with Meatballs, Spinach and Mushrooms. The food was very hot (temperature) and full-flavored. The sauce was thick and smooth, made from tomatoes. Nothing very fancy, but very satisfying in taste and portion size. Nice place, maybe that's why it's so crowded on Saturday

I've been coming here for years and am finally ready to stop gatekeeping it lol…read more This is hands down my favorite restaurant in all of Arizona, period. There isn't really anything I've ordered that wasn't an absolute hit. This spot fires on all cylinders: the food tastes amazing, cocktails are strong yet balanced, and I love the ambiance in the bar area. My favorites include: fleur de lis, charred shrimp risotto, short rib mac & cheese, grilled artichokes (an absolute sleeper hit), twisted noodle salad w/ shrimp, shoestring fries, brussel sprouts, braised short ribs, etc.

We sat inside since it was a hot day but the outdoor seating looked lovely, weather permitting. The menu had some really great options, I ended up going with the Croquet Madam. It was super tasty minus that the bread was burnt. Without the burn, it would've been a solid 5/5 for me. I also am obsessed with their fries, they're those skinny shoestring crispy type & with the truffle aïoli were perfection. The service started off great but slowly slipped as our server got busier and visited our table far less. I'm sure they just have some kinks to work out with the new menu. Overall I still really enjoyed it & would come back again to try their dinner.

We started with a beer and the cauliflower appetizer--both were amazing! Just a heads-up: the cauliflower is a little spicy, but totally addictive. Our burgers arrived quickly. The onion rings and duck fat fries were on point with unique seasoning, and the homemade ketchup and pickles were a welcome surprise. We tried the PB&J burger, which was both creative and delicious. Very nicely decorated with their theme. The street view seating was shaded and the misters were on which kept it cool. Street traffic was a bit loud but not too bad, the front parking buffered the noise. Our server greeted us quickly and was jam packed with suggestions of comparable commercial beers to their brand of beers. Not going to lie, their brand is delicious and actually a bit better than the commercial brand We had their Dead out & Dont F it up. Dead out is a must try, I'm not in any way a dark ale person but this was by far more tasty than the Don't f it up. However both were wonderful. The food is not a reason to go. We both had tacos and shared onion rings. The meat was cooked perfectly but the sauce was less palatable, flavors were too overpowering and drenched sauce. It killed the flavor of the meat itself. When mentioned it to the server, she simply shrugged and stated they do have "heat", I said that it was too much on there, lifted a piece with my fork and it was dripping, covered. Heat was not the issue, too much was. The sauce itself was tasty, but took away from the dish. Had it been on a chip of a fry dipped into it would have been better. Duly noted, next ask for it on the side, let the meat itself shine through. Lastly, the onion ring were truly disappointing. Arrived a very cool room temperature. They arrived few minutes after the tacos, and after reminding the server as we had ordered them. Almost felt as if they were ready on time by the kitchen staff, she was purely overwhelmed and simply, forgot. Small portion and my opinion not an option on my future visit again. Soggy and very greasy, perhaps would have been better if served hot and on time. Worth a visit, may go again. Maybe. Definitely go for the extensive list of brews, here is where they shine.
