    Lunch/Dinner Menu (front)

We stopped at Arrows for breakfast on a Saturday around 10:00am. We were seated within five minutes and let me tell you, they know how to turn tables. Arrows is a clean, modern, up-classed diner. They have standard American fare at a price that is very fair! We ordered the Irish Benedict and the pecan waffle. Both were good... not great, but good. For the price, I was satisfied with the food. What really impressed me was the bussing staff. Our waitress was okay (I ran out of water and coffee), but she was kind and helpful. However, the bussing staff was crushing it. They were grabbing things for patrons, cleaning tables and unless you looked at them, you wouldn't have even noticed they were there! If you're in the mood for a fair priced, breakfast that will meet your standard American diner expectations, I would recommend Arrows. It's not exciting, but it was good, clean and fresh.

Breakfast burrito w/sausage gravy. Comes with hashbrowns or American fries.

Breakfast burrito lacks spices. Could use the option of having spicy or sausage or chorizo in it instead of smoking links cut up. Could use or have the option of having chopped up jalapeño inside. There is green bell pepper chopped up, which is OK I'll put some onion in it.

Food was great, I went with Steak and eggs, tasty and cooked perfect. My server was great, she made suggestions and was very attentive, the coffee to go was a nice touch. The place is nice And clean, a little busy at the time I went (Saturday morning) but I was seated very fast.

    Breakfast Scramble with pancakes. Delicious

Delicious food, great service and fresh comfortable restaurant. I enjoyed the Breakfast Scramble. It came with choice of pancakes or toast. I chose pancakes, they were the way I like them. Light and a bit chewy so they hold up to the syrup! The scramble was delicious! My only not so good, was the usual not crispy enough bacon. It gets chewy if the bacon isn't crispy enough to get scrambled in. Loved the small diced veggies and sausage! All and a awesome breakfast place. I must compliment the serve ring staff for their hustle and genuine hospitality! Thanks!

    Welcome

Breakfast is very popular and there was people waiting when we arrived. The good news, this restaurant seated everyone within 10 minutes. I had the breakfast lovers which was very good. My guest had the B&G breakfast which was very good. We had been to this restaurant before and they have the best service of any breakfast location. Give this place a try, if you are traveling on I-196, it is easy on and off.

I adore crab so ordering that was a no brainer. Their coffee is strong. It took a ton of cream to change the color... though it was delicious with free refills for $5. The omelette was heaven. All the flavors melded well and I appreciated the crisp acidic salad to cut the richness of the omelette. My only critique is wishing the crab salad topping was a bit more decadent. For $21 I was hoping for big lumps of crab rather than cool shredded mayo based salad. All in all, I love this place, I love the concept. It was quite busy and was thankful to snag a seat at the bar. The dirty martini was okay but I will definitely order something else next time as the olives just didn't hit for me. It's a quaint and quiet spot - you can read that as intimate - since it's not loud or rowdy, so if you want a really sweet date spot, feel free to check this one out! Otherwise, you can just go and have a casual, delicious dinner. Parking is limited with the street parking and it being so close to Monroe Center but you shouldn't have a terrible time finding something, even if requires a parking ramp vs street parking. I'd just recommend a reservation if you are going on a weekend or don't want to wait/sit at the bar!

The food is good, but not usually worth these long wait times imo. Today, was a cloudy and cold Wednesday mid morning. The place was busy, but no long wait times. The food is always good. Everything I've ever eaten on the menu is good... but I have a special affinity for pig 'n the blankets, banket, and any Mexican inspired breakfast item in the menu. Today I had the chorizo Benny. It was fabulous and worth the $15 imo. Our waiter, Pedro, was the best! He's worked there for over a decade and knows the family that runs this restaurant--- 3 Dutch brothers--- he gave me a run down on the lore and all the pictures are of their family photos hanging around the restaurant. I think that's pretty cool. They will be opening and expanding into a new restaurant location on the corner of River and Lakewood Blvd sometime in the near future. That location will have more of a "hipster" vibe with breakfast cocktails, etc. Check them out when you want... but if you don't want to wait come during off peak hours and off season times. Make sure to peruse their bakery for some goodies to take home. Salud.

I got the faux gras for my first course (not a typo - faux as they use chicken livers) which had tremendous flavor. For dessert, we couldn't pick between the profiteroles and the warm tart tatin so we split them. Both were great but the tatin is an upside down French apple pie which was fantastic - served warm with vanilla gelato it was unexpectedly thin and crunchy with the crust. I can't recommend this meal highly enough. It would get six stars if possible.

For a guy who hates cheddar biscuits, I've got to say I'm blown away. My wife ordered the steak with fingerling potatoes and carrots. It was on the pricier side, but yet again well worth it. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the veggies were pretty good too. They had live music playing as well tonight. It was a jazzy kind of vibe and it didn't over power anyone talking or anything. The guy had some serious skill too. To top it off, we had some pretty killer service from everyone there. The expo or food runner dropping our food off anticipated us possibly needing an extra plate and brought one without asking which was super awesome and ended up coming in handy ( I knew my wife wouldn't finish that steak alone) and she brought it without asking and was ready with a smile to get more. I used to be a GM (I hate when people use this saying but...) truly I know how hard it is to find good workers and the folks running it here seem to have it down. I come from a place where you have to drive 100 mi or more for average service. So seeing exceptional service is really almost too good to be true. I'd definitely stop in for a bite. My guest and I spent most of our lunch talking, and I left with nearly an entire meal. About 20 minutes after leaving, I realized I had forgotten my box and immediately called the restaurant to see if it was still there. The young lady who answered the phone asked where I had been seated. I explained that I was at the very first table at the front of the restaurant. Within seconds, she told me there was nothing there. Her tone made it clear that assisting me was not a priority. Given that the hostess stand is located at the back of the restaurant and I was seated at the front, I do not believe there was enough time for her to actually check before dismissing my concern. After I sent an email regarding the situation, the hostess responded that she had walked through the restaurant looking for the box. Based on the timing of our phone conversation, I find that difficult to believe. In her response, she also stated that she checked with the servers after our call had ended, which suggests that no real effort was made while I was on the phone. What is most disappointing is that I am a regular customer. Today, I paid $56.00 for lunch for myself and my business guest. Between a server who was largely absent throughout the meal and the dismissive interaction when I called about my forgotten food, the level of service fell far below what I have come to expect. Everyone has an occasional bad day, but customer service is often defined by how issues are handled after something goes wrong. In this case, I felt dismissed rather than helped. Unfortunately, after today's experience, I do not plan to return.
