This was our second time at the Arrowhead Grill, and our second experience was even more amazing than the first one, thanks to our absolutely stellar waiter, Charles. A bit overpriced. Had the mixed grill (from the bar menu). 6oz filet, 2 scallops, 2 shrimp. & asparagus. The shrimp and scallops tasted good. The steak was cooked how I liked it, but it was kind of bland. I had horseradish with it. Ordered a potato on the side. Nothing comes with a side dish - those are extra. The potato was definitely overpriced, though I didn't really need it as I filled up on bread and water before the food came. Solid service- they worked as a team, good with refills, boxed our leftovers. We were seated near the entrance and also by the outdoor seating, so we may not have been in the best spot. read more

We were very disappointed with the lobster! It was tough and rubbery. At this price point, the lobster should have been much better. Won't be ordering the lobster again. During a previous visit about a year ago, we ordered the salmon. We were served a piece from the tail end. Again it was tough, rubbery and difficult to cut, had to send it back. Another wonderful meal tonight at Arrowhead Grill. We were celebrating my husbands birthday and our waitress, Angela, took wonderful care of us. We used his rewards offer and ordered two 10 oz Delmonico steaks with macaroni and cheese as a side and a kids salmon meal with mashed potatoes and broccoli. I also started out with their delicious French onion soup. Steaks were cooked to a perfect medium. Sides were great portions and very tasty. We had a stop by from I assume manager or GM and he was lovely and offered some wonderful suggestions. We went home with a complimentary butter cake and I can't wait to enjoy that. We happened to have a trip to Pheonix overlap with our anniversary and had Arrowhead recommended to us by our family out here. Everything was absolutely amazing! They were able to accommodate our request for a booth which was appreciated and they had the table decorated for our anniversary which was such a nice touch! Our server, Logan, was absolutely wonderful! She provided great service, and she was so kind and attentive I would definitely ask for her again! We had the filet and the rack of lamb and they were both cooked perfectly to our liking, the veggies/sides were delicious as well. What I absolutely LOVED was the butter cake they gave us for our anniversary. It was absolutely incredible I could have had another lol! I have been here many times and it seems things keep going downhill. Last night was the worst experience yet. First they sat us at a broken table on the patio. After asking, they moved us to an adjacent (also broken) table. Considering the menu prices...we can't invest in some higher quality patio furniture? The service was slow but the server was nice enough. Ordered 2 filets. One was so full of fat and gristle we could barely eat it. Ordered a warm butter cake for dessert. Server forgot about it. So we asked to have it to go instead (with a second dessert.) We got home and the butter cake was flat out awful. Cold and partially frozen, no flavor and deformed looking. Picture attached. I don't mind paying for what I order, but someone should be ashamed of themselves for even letting this leave the kitchen. I think we are done with Arrowhead Grill. Plenty of other options for an expensive dinner out. read more

This has been our go to place for special occasions for years. The best thing about our most recent experience was the service. Our server was very knowledgeable and had the right balance of attentiveness and respect. We had the shrimp cocktail appetizer and I had the French onion soup and he had the clam chowder. The three large shrimp were enough for us to share. They seemed a tad overcooked, but still tasty with great presentation. The clam chowder is something we would both order again. The onion soup was more bread and cheese than onion soup. The cocktails were delicious. I had a glass of Pinot noir that was good once I warmed up the cold glass with my hands. Perhaps this was their version of "cellar cold." We each had the Delmonico steaks and I believe they made my partner's medium rare and mine medium. Previous visits my steaks were always very tender. When the manager stopped by, he could tell by my non poker face that I was unhappy. After a brief chat, a new, tender, perfectly medium rare steak was served. Thank you, Arrowhead Grille for continuing to be the best steak house in the west valley and I will continue to recommend you any time someone asks where to go. read more

Tips: - make a reservation - sit inside (it's still noisy inside too) - don't get the mussels Our first time here, heard amazing things about this west-side steakhouse, so we went In with great expectations for an early happy hour meal. Our first mistake was not making a reservation. It is a very popular restaurant, so even walking in at 3:30pm on a Fri, there were no bar seats, and the only open tables were in the sun on the patio. The patio is next to one of the loudest traffic intersections off the 101 and across from Walmart. The sun was blazing even though it was only mid 70's, AZ direct sun is no joke. The table next to us asked to move to a free table in the shade once it opened up, so it wasn't just us, and we didn't make a fuss about it. The restaurant should consider shading, or not seating those extra tables. Second mistake, ordering the mussels on the server's recommendation. It was fishy, smelled fishy and the bread was stale. We sent it back. Then our server switched, not sure if that was on purpose, but the second server was an upgrade. Probably the level of service most patrons experience. The better: anything with "AG" in the name was probably a good bet. Ordered the AG burger, prime rib shavings on the burger. My husband always asks if the burger beef has been frozen or fresh when ordering a burger, just in case, you never know, he asks so he can safely order his doneness, and the first server laughed/scoffed at him, "No." Geez just a question. We asked for it MR, it came Med. It was still tasty and worth the happy hour price! I got the Salmon AG salad, and we got comped a celebratory butter cake. It was all just eh, for the price we paid, ~$50, and it being "steakhouse dining." I get it, we went without being prepared for a reservation, and during happy hour, but we heard so many great things and the place is jumping! Expectations were high. We made online reservations fir our 22nd anniversary. We were seated promptly. The table was prearranged with rose petals, a nice touch for the occasion. Our waitress Amy was extremely attentive throughout. The meatball appetizer was very tasty & we brought part of it home, not wanting to get too full, too fast. We ordered the giant "T-bone for 2," medium rare which was cooked to absolute perfection, & selected the 2 house salads, 1 baked potato & the au gratin cheesy potatoes as our 2 sides. The salads were prepared with deliciously cold, crisp lettuce with onion, carrot, Greek olive and crunchy croutons. The steak was to die for. The filet side was large & tender as could be. The NY side was equally delicious and flavorful. We ended our anniversary meal with a decadent butter cake desert, which was gratis, another nice touch. The manager also came by to wish us happy anniversary & to ensure everything was ok. I must say - the week prior, we dined at Morton's (at the local casino) which has an excellent reputation. However, in our opinion, Arrowhead Grill far exceeds Morton's. If I could give them a 6th star, I would. We certainly look forward to our next future visit at the Arrowhead Grill.
