I selected Arrow Flooring and Tile because of the good pricing and promise of great work. Bogart was very friendly and constantly reassuring me every time I had questions or something seemed off. Now almost 2 years later I regret choosing this company. Bogart promised me our epoxy floors would last 10 plus years..... it's already all chipping and cracked (see photos). Our vinal flooring was also poorly installed, they didn't even run it under our baseboards!! Now the vinal is bubbling and lifting. I feel like I was lied to, taken advantage of. I asked about repairing our vinal flooring and was told it would be $300-$400 just for them to come out and repair. Why would I pay you more money to fix what wasn't done properly to begin with?! I reached out to several businesses through the Yelp app for tiling 500sqft for our home, and Bogart reached out immediately and we set up a time to come to our home. He came as promised, he was a very personable guy, he recommended some very nice tiles immediately after requesting a certain style, talked about the expectations together, talked about the cost and paperwork of the breakdown was emailed immediately and the date was set. The day of the project, Bogart brought his main tile man, Israel! He was a very nice guy, worked really hard throughout the four days of work all on his own. If there were adjustments or clarifications we had, we talked to Bogart and it was all taken care of without any problems. He came in during and after the project too, to make sure we were happy. BEWARE *updates below* Did not finish the job. Will not call me back. Not a licensed contractor or at least is not listed on the cslb.ca.gov website. I hired Arrow Design to replace the floor in my bathroom with tile and install a new toilet. Arrow gave me a quote for the project which I agreed to. During the course of the project, Bogart sent me an updated invoice with additional work that doubled the price of the project. Bogart didn't discuss this with me, claiming he was too busy, BUT he had enough time to send me an updated invoice. The additional work was for installing the backer board, which is what is used as the base layer below the grout and tiles. You cannot install the new floor without it! How is that an extra? The updated invoice also included other work which I had approved but at a price nearly double what we had agreed upon. Now let's talk about the quality of the work at hand. I've included pictures! 1. The gapping around the perimeter of the floor is inconsistent. 2. The application of grout around the walls isn't flush with the floor 3. The silicone applied around the toilet is botched. 4. The floor at the end of the bathroom that leads into the hallways isn't finished. 5. Inconsistent spacing between the tiles. Along with all the materials, I supplied them with spacers used to make sure the junctions between tiles are consistent. The workers said they weren't necessary and didn't use them. They still haven't picked up the trash from the project! It has been sitting outside my house for the last week. I was assured it would be picked up the next day, then by the end of the week and now I have no reply from them. I've attached our text message conversation. Feel free to DM if you need more details. ***UPDATE*** This is a response to their comments below. They won't return my calls but comment immediately on a negative yelp review... Claudia, I'm disappointed that your reply infers that the poor workmanship is ok because I didn't catch it initially on a walk-through. I could not perform an actual walk-throughrough as the sealant had just been applied to the floor and needed to dry. I am not the tiling expert. I am paying for your expertise to avoid problems like this. Shouldn't Bogart have caught this? He was only at the site twice, at the beginning and the end. He actually bragged to me about how busy he was and all of the sites he was visiting to quote instead of overseeing this project. Regarding the subfloor, there was no mention of the cost. The subfloor repair consisted of cutting a couple small pieces of playwood and nailing them to the floor. I have included also included a photo of the cuts they made in the larger plywood panel. That does not constitute doubling the price of the entire job. I even went to home depot to get the plywood myself! We started with a few things and after seeing what a test job they did we continued with more projects. We recently bought the cutest home but need some updating. There was a entry stair that so many people either tripped on or fell and couldn't wait to get rid of. Guest bathroom was totally outdated and still wanting to change the glass door but the transformation currently is unreal. Bogart and his crew were incredibly professional. I had porcelain tile put in two bedrooms and travertine installed in the master bedroom and two bathrooms. Bogart quickly provided a very competitive estimate and Victor, his tile lead, was very detail oriented - he did a great job with the 45 degree angle flooring in the master bedroom! They both were very accommodating and flexible to a few minor changes and Bogart was very responsive when needed and always touched base at the end of each day to organize and set expectations for the following day. In total, the project was more than 700sqft and they finished within 3/4 of the estimated time - and that was WITH the add-work of the two bathrooms! This was my first contracted job through Yelp and Bogart delivered! Bogart was very responsive to my request for an estimate. We had an appointment scheduled for 11am-12pm. I confirmed the appt. at 11:30 and he said he was still coming. At 12:12, he said he was "stuck at a job" in a city about an hour away from our home. He clearly knew at 11:30 that he wasn't going to make our agreed-upon timeframe but he failed to tell me.
