Just had my garage done by chance by Charlie of Wow Metallics. Had been looking into epoxy kitchen counters and learned in talking to him he does garage epoxy regularly so I gave him a shot since he was nice and helpful over the phone. He did a phenomenal job plus he had a great attitude and is easy to work with. Before the work started, I tried to remove all the old garage Cabinets myself but found it too hard. Charlie had a great attitude about it, didn't complain one bit, and quickly Demo'd them like a pro and even put me in touch with a junk hauler company at a good price. Charlie took many hours on day 1 to diamond grind the floor. He brought both the big stand up machine and the hand tool version. He did a lot of grinding with the hand tool getting down to the ground to ensure a smooth finish. Plus he took his time on corners and edges as well. He also cut a vertical cement column for a small fee which I opted to do. On day 2, Charlie was careful in taping and masking and was super precise with how far he extends the epoxy to the garage door. After the epoxy was laid, there was no mess, only clean lines. No messy flakes or messy epoxy stuck in the wrong places and no mess To deal with whatsoever. Very clean work. Charlie even adds sparkles to his finish to give the floor more pop before he puts on the hard top coat. Charlie offers high quality workmanship and is great to work with plus his pricing is ultra competitive because he offers true value. Then they started adding numerous layers to the floor, resulting in a great looking matte white polyurea floor with lots of grip. Hard working with knowledge. Got some options on refreshing a 7 year old garage floor epoxy system. The floor was still mostly in great shape but had a couple worn through spots, yellowing, and uneven wear of the top coat. I chose WOW because Charlie recommended a urethane top coat rather than more epoxy. He sanded a lot of spots on the floor, patched the bare spots, and I am very happy with the results. Looks better than new and will definitely be able to get many more years out of it. Also uses a very high quality product. As others have noted, he certainly hustles and works very very hard for you, a really great deal when you consider the reasonableness of his prices, his knowledge, and his hard work. I hired Wow Metallic to do my garage floor and I couldn't be any happier. I have to say that Charles delivers what he preaches. Charles and Kevin are two hard-working men that know their job very well and do things very meticulously. They removed some wood planks from my garage floor because they made it look very tacky and then had to creatively adjust the legs of my attic ladder so that it could reach the floor. Charles walked me through exactly what he was going to do, the pros and cons, and was easy to communicate with throughout and a pleasant person to have around the house for a few days while work was being performed (always important!). Charlie completed the work for my 2.5 car garage. He helped me move some of the furniture outside the garage. He was very positive. He worked 12 hrs the first day and 4 hrs the next day to get the work completed. Him and his helper never stopped working both days with very few breaks. I don't get how other companies say they can do the work in 8-10 hrs (in one day). Most likely you will get a lower quality product.
