Before coming here, we had already visited several other flooring stores and received multiple quotes. None of them worked out--either the prices weren't competitive, or they could only handle parts of the project. We were incredibly grateful that this shop was open on a Saturday afternoon when we were looking. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Eddy. Right away, we could tell he was highly knowledgeable and genuinely wanted to earn our business. By the end of our visit, not only had we selected the perfect wood for our floors, but Eddy even offered to come out and do the measurements within an hour of closing up the shop that same afternoon. Eddy gave us a very competitive offer, and we signed the agreement that same day. He made the entire process so much easier than the horror stories we had heard about other service providers. It was a massive plus that he has his own dedicated installation team, and Eddy himself was on-site several times during the project to check on the progress. The installation team worked incredibly efficiently and finished the job exactly on time. If you want a professional, efficient, and honestly priced experience, ask for Eddy at Flooring Discount Centers. They are excellent!

We live all the way up in Torrance but would make the drive back down if shopping another project--the selection, pricing, and service was that good. We HIGHLY recommend Flooring Discount Center!

From the quote to the end, Rafi was so communicative and straightforward, and he even visited the house several times to revise the quote. Because we had to move the in-laws out of their house (mobility challenges), I asked him for a "worst case scenario" time frame, and the installers beat it by almost half! When does that ever happen in construction... I was extremely pleased with their work. They went above and beyond in clarity and speed, and highly recommend them for anyone's project, big or small.

Rich Alexander came out and gave us a ton of information on what to buy and where to get it. Rich gave us so much advice on the types, brands, sellers, required methods. Our project was a bit complicated. We had the room extended and the contractor did a poor job of laying the concrete floor. It wasn't level, it had high and low spots, it was uneven. It required a lot of correction. They poured a liquid concrete floor leveling compound. Once they had the floor corrected, they laid the engineered hardwood. Originally, we considered 3/8th sold hardwood but Rich advised on the engineered floor, the solid hardwood will sometimes take humidity and the planks might change. Once they got started laying the floor they went very fast. Working as a team, one cut the planks, a second spread adhesive and the third trim cut planks and laid the wood. Something I wasn't aware of is dumping rubbish fees. The Puente/Rose Hills landfill is closed. They have to take your old carpet to a transfer station instead of a dump. Dumping fees could be well over $!,000. Alexander might not be the least expensive but consider your floor is going to be there for 30 - 50years. You might as well get it done right.

They finished the job in 1 day as promised (from 0815-1645). When we encountered an issue with the "hidden" flooring that needed to be demolished, instead of charging me 2x for the labor, they cut the price in half and gave us a huge discount! Thank you Eden & Ali! A special shout-out to Miguel and his installation crew--they were true craftsmen. We chose the Monte Cito LVP flooring, and it turned out absolutely beautiful. The quality of the installation exceeded my expectations, and I couldn't be happier with the final result. Best Floors also offers a huge selection of flooring options, making it easy to find exactly what you're looking for. If you're considering new floors, I would recommend Best Floors to anyone. Large selection of products and knowledgeable associates asked about what I was looking for and what would work best for me. The manager came out to measure and discuss how the work would be done and go over possible additional charges based on my existing flooring. He provided a quote in a very timely manner and we scheduled the date! They assigned a two man team who showed up promptly on time each morning. The installers were amazing. They took such care in my home and were so respectful and efficient! They assisted with some installation questions I had and got right to work. They were so careful moving my furniture around and I was so touched that they made sure my bed area was cleared at the end of their upstairs workdays so I didn't have to sleep on the couch. They used plastic sheeting to mask off closet and bathroom contents to keep the dust down as much as possible due to the floor leveling process. They set up shop in my garage and at the end of each of the 5 days tidied the work spaces and swept up the garage very thoroughly. F and L..... thank you so much. I know I said it a lot but I really love the excellent job you did! I am so happy with the outcome. I love my floors and give OC Hardwood the highest praise possible!!! My neighbors and friends love the floors and I'm glad I grabbed a couple of business cards because they've been given away to interested parties! My two favorite comments.... What kind of wood is this? LVP!! This looks like House and Gardens TV! My previous cat had passed away November 2025 and I knew I wanted to have the flooring redone before adopting another. They finished on a Friday afternoon and I was able to adopt a rescue cat 2 days later. I do recommend boarding any pets as the work would be quite frightening to them. This was a big deal for me... I am extremely picky and felt such confidence in F and L as consummate professionals as the work progressed. Thank you OC Hardwood! You made my flooring dream come true!!

2023 update: there are just too many little things to ignore, after having done our 3rd property…read morewith them. First, because our properties are not in OC, but the surrounding counties, they won't send someone to come and properly measure the space. So the estimate ends up seeming reasonable but then doubles upon work completion. Then there are always extra charges that if you don't read your invoice carefully, they will 'mistakenly' put on there. I've caught a couple of errors. Finally, no one has mentioned this, but their labor warranty is only 6 months. Some of the quarter rounds they've installed for us have started to peel away from the walls, not even a year in. And of course, there will now be a charge to send someone out to repair as it's after 6 months. Not a huge deal, but I hate to be nickeled and dimed so we won't be taking that option. Docking a star for these little annoyances that have come up throughout our various projects, though will probably end up hiring again due to their speed and short lead time.

He answered all of our questions and even met us on a weekend early morning to open his shop for us to pick our our floor samples. The work done by his crew was well done- our floors look/feel great. His crew even helped put our big pieces of furniture back into our house after they finished (we have seen that some places only remove the furniture- putting it back isn't included in their fees.) They finished a day early, even. We found the pricing reasonable for the job, but it was the level of service and attention to detail that was the real clincher. We recommend Caliber most highly.

Contracted them to install an oak hardwood floor, lacing into the existing floor in the house…read more Initially after they were done I would have rated the work a C-, but after a few days the floor has started to fail, so now it's a solid F. The finish on the floor was novice level work. Heavy tooling marks all over, smeared stain, splattered topcoat. That was my reason for the C-. Within a week many of the boards have detached and come up. I've also noticed: huge sections of the flooring were never fastened; the sanding is so bad that it's visibly lumpy in several areas; there are large gaps that were not filled and stained properly. And to top it off they had the highest quote of the bunch. The people working there are nice and pleasant, and very responsive. They offered to come back and redo it. But given the range and severity of problems I did not trust them to do further work. All around a complete waste of my time and money.
