Stop and Call Mountain View Construction. Our small bungalow…read morehad 60% water damage to floors, walls and ceiling. After the damage was removed, the Mountain View Construction crew swept in and treated our home with the personal care reserved for family. They reinforced floors and alerted us to problems we would have never noticed. The drywall work and finishing makes our home the new custom home that it now is. We couldn't be happier with both the exceptional work and personal attention to our project that owner Luis provided. The work was done was done with top quality and well practiced speed. Oh, did I mention, Luis pointed out a hidden water damage to a bath addition that compromised a corner wall. The MVC crew completely removed and replaced a structural post and outside panels, color matched and finished perfectly. You cannot tell any renovation was done. We can count on Luis and MVC to be professional and fair.

MB Contractors built multiple rock retaining walls and extended the driveway at our second home…read more The whole job took a week, in February, which in Whatcom County means a week of mud and rain. It didn't slow them down. Partway through, they ran out of rock in Whatcom County. Instead of stopping the job, waiting on a delivery, or dropping in something that didn't match, Brent went and sourced the rest out of Skagit County and kept moving. That's the part I'd want to know about a contractor before hiring one. The walls are set with large quarried stone, stepped properly into the grade, and the driveway behind them was built up and compacted so it drains instead of pooling. The crew showed up when they said they would and left the site clean at the end. If you need excavation, retaining walls, drainage, or driveway work in Whatcom or Skagit County, call them.

Do not hire Caz Construction!! We hired Caz Construction to do our bathroom remodel. The quality of…read morethe work performed in our bathroom was sub standard and unprofessional. The tile was set horribly with uneven grout lines and tile lippage throughout. The tile was set directly on the shower pan causing the pan to squeak when someone stands and moves around in it. A 1/8"-1/4" gap is required for an expansion joint between shower pan and tile. There were no expansion joints left in the corners either. The caulking was done the same day as the grout holding moisture in and causing the grout to fail. the caulking was also very badly done with holes and tape line seams in it. When presented with the issues they were unable to provide a technician that could repair the damage and unwilling to make any of the necessary repairs. Eventually we had to terminate the contract because every technician they had sent out either did horrible work or was incapable of completing their job. There was no commitment to quality craftsmanship or customer relations. I have worked in this industry for 35 years and know the ins and outs of all parts of remodeling and construction. Do not hire Caz Construction if you want quality and professionalism.

Evan came to do the repairs and I couldn't be happier. He was always on time, very friendly, quick, and competent. I think the type of work that I asked them to do was a lot smaller in scale than what they normally worked on, but nonetheless, they made me a fell like a priority and not an afterthought. I highly recommend Credo Construction.

Yes, it's taking a lot longer than anticipated, but there has been issues that have been out of their control. Such as supply delays, and pouring rain in which some products can not be applied. They completely covered the work areas with strong tarps that even held up against the destructive winds we had in early December. And yes, they have been working with wind and rain and inside the tarps in the freezing cold every day. The crew works full days Monday through Friday unless they have a delay in product or sub contractors. The crew has been extremely polite, cooperative and do they talk? Yes, of course, but unless it's their lunch break, the talking has been about the progress and how to go about it..

I went to A1 because they were an established builder in the area. When I first contacted them I…read moretold them what I wanted for a bathroom remodel and that my budget was around $50,000 for what I wanted. I was told $1000 would get me a place in line as they were rather busy and it would be applied to my job. The next step was talk to the designer when my turn came up. Again, I told the designer what I wanted and my budget. He listened and a few days later came back with a plan. His total for the remodel was over $72,000. Needless to say, I told him that it was over budget and wasn't going to work. So he redid the plans leaving off all the high dollar granite, etc., that no one had asked for in the first place. The second estimate was $60,000. I told them that wasn't going to work either and paid them over $1500 for the work they had done supposedly for design. I thought we were done until they called me today, a year later, informing me that I had an outstanding bill of $1700. I would definitely classify this place as a ripoff. I guess I can chalk this up as an expensive lesson well learned. I have paid over $3000 for absolutely nothing. I would suggest going to a more reputable builder if you want something remodeled.
