New owners have made changes taking it from a 5 star best in town to a 3 star. They have changed the House Special ingredients and the awesome finely ground cheese in the shakers at the table is now the same crap you get at Pizza Hut. The Arris franchise needs to step in an enforce the recipes that made them great. Hate to think I have to drive to Jeff City to get the real thing. Switching all my pizza business to Pizza House until the new owners start listening to the clients. read more

Lots of people said "go to Arris, they have awesome pizza." They were all wrong. This pizza is low quality, even by Springfield standards. the sauce is entirely unremarkable, the dough is way too thin and limp - basically, it has no taste. Just ate my first meal here. I can't believe it took me 6 months to eat here. Now I know. I had pasta w/ alfredo sauce, greek salad, homemade rolls and ooey gooey butter cake. They make their own greek dressing for the greek salads and it was excellent. The alfredo sauce was made with great skill and was delicious. I will absolutely go back. read more

My husband and I have been eating good at Arris Pizza for a long time. They have the best pizza and Gyro's are the best in town. The Sunday Buffet is rather good also. I think if you enjoy pizza and Italian food you would want to check this place out at least once. read more

This was our first visit to Arris Pizza and not sure why it took us so long to discover. We went on a week night and the tables were almost packed. Good sign! We weren't familiar with the thin crust Greek style pizza so spent some time looking over the menu. Finally decided on the House Special and got a cheese pizza for the grand daughter. Even though they were really quick in getting our pizzas to the table. First bite was like Wow! Totally different flavor than what we were used to but was really good. My first thought was - where's the sauce? No heavy red sauce here. There was a slight hint of some sauce but the unique flavor of the ground beef and greek sausage, along with the red onion and cheese really came through. I didn't even miss the heavier sauce. One of the owners, Tawny, stopped by to see how everything was. We told her is was great but I was surprised that there wasn't any sauce on the crust. She acted a little surprised. She said sauce was mixed with the ground beef. New guy cooking so she had another pie made for us to take home so we could try it with the right amount of sauce. Very nice gesture. Needless to say, based on the overall experience we had and the quality of the food, we will be going back on a regular basis. It's so nice to go to a new place and be wowed by the server, owner, and have a great meal. read more

The wait staff is nothing exceptional, but they get the job done. Prices are definitely fair. The pizza is 'okay' by true (Chicago) pizza standards, but it is one of the best places in this area due to lack of competition. It would get a 5 star rating from me except for one clear fact - the owner is a complete jerk. His arrogance and perception of self-importance shine like the midday sun. Only giving Arris Pizza 2 stars, due to its nostalgia. I grew up in Jefferson City, MO where the original Arris Pizza resides. Apparently, this location is under new ownership and I have to tell you the pizza has taken an enormous step in the wrong direction. I really enjoy a standard pepperoni pizza. Unfortunately, the crust was super cracker thin and the dough did not taste fresh. They used to put the topping under the cheese, which I liked, but not this trip. There was almost no sauce on the pizza. The only reason I ate it was because I was incredibly hungry. I did provide honest feedback to the waitress and she apologized. The on shift manager stopped by to apologize as well. They offered some dessert or to remake a pizza, which was a nice gesture. I kindly declined. They did do right by not charging for the pizza. I will not be back to this location until they make some adjustments or revert to the original ways. Side note, a person in my party also had the same pizza and experience. When she left the table, she overheard the table of people behind us reporting some of the same complaints. Hopefully, they can turn things around. read more

This is by far my favorite pizza place in Springfield! I recently moved away but when I come home to visit, this is one of the places that is on my "HAVE TO GO" list. The owner/manager is always very friendly and usually comes by to say hello, and the pizza is always fresh and amazingly delicious. I have not found any other pizza like it anywhere else. The spinach dip is also one of my family's favorites. My parents hardly venture out to eat anymore but they are always willing to go to Arris Pizza! read more

The pizza is bleeping awesome. Nice sauce, perfect amount of cheese, crispy flaky crust, masterful sprinkling of herbs. Genius. The only thing about dining in is that the service is a little lukewarm (which is fine, I'm not there to make new BFFs but I've occasionally felt a bit rushed) and the ambiance is always a little off- it's a little crowded, the lights are u a bit high, that sort of thing. But, again, I'm not moving in or whatever so who cares. The pizza is amazing, it's close to St. Louis style without seeming derivative. Eat it. read more

My family travels through Springfield about 4 times a year, and it has become tradition to stop off at Arris Pizza! We love their pizza, we crave it when we are back home! Me and the kids love the straight up cheese pizza, while my husband always gets the George's with Canadian bacon. Their bruschetta is also delicious! The service is always very friendly and attentive. It is a great place to meet family and friends for a great lunch or dinner! read more

Every time I have eaten here the food and service has just gotten worse and worse. If you look at some of the pictures that other patrons have posted of the food, yes it really does look like a plate of vomit. My family and I were visiting relatives in Springfield and decided to give this pizza place a try, but I have never regretted a decision more in my life. For my appetizer, I ordered a simple plate of mozzarella sticks which you think no one could mess up. WRONG! They came out looking like frozen fish sticks. I reminded myself that appearance is one thing, but the taste can be different. WRONG AGAIN! They very much tasted like frozen fish sticks your grandmother serves you from the back of the freezer when she doesn't want to cook anymore. When our food came, I noticed the appearance of it looked more like something that had been regurgitated and not real pizza. Anybody who says this place is good is probably used to a regurgitated diet consisting of no flavor and burnt pizza crust. I would give this place 0 stars, but the service was nice. The young hostesses do an excellent job at seating us and making us feel welcome at this terrible restaurant. For that, I will give this place 1 star but everything else needs some serious work. read more
