I had an order delivered from here today, and it was the worst food I've had from here. I only received half of my order, no salads as ordered. Called the store and they said they'd refund what I didn't get, but couldn't send me anything to confirm this. I then opened the pasta that I received. Spaghetti was so-so, tasted different. Baked mostaciolli was burned, smelled awful. I had to peel the burned cheese off the top as it wasn't edible. It also tasted and looked different under the burned cheese. Even the rolls were bad, hard and cold, and no butter sent. I will avoid this location in the future. read more

A little pricey for amount of food in to go bowls. Rolls where not in a bag just thrown in brown bag on top of food. Taste was ok but peas where hard :( read more

Yummy food for a quick dinner! Love the drive thru! Makes it very easy! Always friendly and clean!

I was just at the pasta express on 321 E Battlefield road and waited patiently in the drive thru for OVER 15 minutes to take my order. I kindly said hello and couple of times with no answer. When I finally got an answer she rudely told me " you're going to have to wait a couple more minutes as I told you before we are very busy inside!" So I waited a few minutes longer with still no service so I decided to go inside. Once I arrived inside to my surprise there was only a few customers that already had food and were NOT ordering. Once I got to the front counter and ordered I received my food within a couple of minutes! Unfortunately Amara T did not realize that I was the person she was talking so rudely and disrespectful to in the drive thru. She proceeded to excessively rant to coworkers and the other customers about how there was this terribly rude customer in the drive thru that was trying to get her attention to order. This really breaks my heart I usually love pasta express. I really hope the staff and management can get it together as I frequent this location often. read more

Been coming to Pasta Express for some of the freshest pasta in town. Service is spectacular and prices are competitive. Kids love the bread.

I'm bummed that the location blocks away closed years ago, but the food is still the same, and quite a bargain as well. It's very consistent which is what you ultimately expect from every eatery you visit. I cooked for years in the Marines, and sticking to the recipes was important for the same reasons. I'm 100% Italian/American, been cooking since pre-teen, and I wholeheartedly recommend this place. read more

Fantastic Salads! The Milo is my favorite. For Pasta I love the Chicken Parm and my son would do anything for the tosted Ravioli.

Waited 6 min at drive thru sign...then pulled around and when I got to window I ordered a Meatball sub. Girl took my money and then said I should have ordered at sign. I told her I waited and assumed it was not working. She then explained to me how it was my fault for not tripping the sensors. Really, just make the food...Then she comes back and asks me to pull ahead so she can give the people behind me their food because they ordered the right way! I looked at her and said NO just make my sandwich...She started arguing some more 3 times I said make the sandwich...When I finally got it you couldn't eat it. No sauce, no provolone cheese and looked like dog food. Don' waste your money here. read more

Their spaghetti I fed my kid was awful. My Alfredo pasta was hard and stuck together, and my husbands pasta sauce tasted sour. We were wondering why no one was there on a Saturday night.... we figured out why:/ for 43 dollars for 2 people and a baby, it was atrocious. Decent for fast food pasta. Spaghetti was actually angel hair, not spaghetti. Meatballs were good, but not $4 good. The salad was also good but a little heavy on the dressing. I asked for extra tomatoes and got 4 grape tomatoes. Rolls weren't anything special. My husband liked the manicotti. read more

I have given up on this restaurant because at each visit I have been extremely disappointed every time. Their Alfredo Sauce is little more than hot milk (no mushrooms, no seasonings, etc); and their pasta sauce is little more than tomato juice with a smattering of vegetables. Their pasta is soggy and NOT "al Dente" like one would want in pasta. After a few tries (because it is close to work) I have given up on expecting a decent meal from this restaurant. The one positive thing I am able to say about this store is that their employees are VERY nice. I know that does not make up for their crappy food but at least you will get it served to you by a friendly person. read more

My girl found a hair in her salad to start the meal off. We notified an employee and she just said "Sorry"; didn't offer to refund the salad. By this point we had pretty much lost our appetites and then we hear the lady tell another kitchen employee that it happened last night too. Sounds like they need to invest in beard nets for their kitchen employees. read more

I come here often for spaghetti and meatballs but decided to try the chicken spiedini tonight. What a surprise! This chicken comes on a skewer with coiled pieces of chicken breast breaded and grill fried to perfection. I could cut it with a fork because it was so moist and tender. It comes on a bed of fettuccine in a light garlic/basil cream sauce with fresh tomatoes and spinach. Far exceeded my expectations! This is definitely a do again if you are looking for a super casual atmosphere and great food, this is the place! read more

Long ago in Joplin, MO I used to eat off the Smitty's employee menu at Pasta Express in the now defunct supermarket on 32nd Street. I always loved it but thought Pasta Express was a thing of the past. When I lived in Springfield a couple of years ago, I rediscovered it (at the Battlefield location further East) and was pleased to find that everything still tasted great. Today I tried this location for the first time, and it certainly did not disappoint. For one thing, I love the clean and comfortable large dining room paired with very basic quick service. It's like the least pretentious possible set up and the food is of WELL above average quality. Meals come with a small yet fresh salad and a drink for a couple of bucks more, and my husband's spinach and artichokes ravioli was great as was my comfort food of choice, chicken parmigiana. Both were really swimming in sauce, but that wasn't a bad thing, as I'd rather have too much sauce than not enough. The meals were served with small dinner rolls as well. To me this is like Johnny Carino's and Panera had a baby together, but the outcome was a much more likable and affordable offspring. Big fan. read more

Great place to grab a bite, and conveniently located for folks on the West side of town. Great pasta, and we love the cheese they use on the salads. Never again. Meatballs tasted terrible! They were inedible. Alfredo sauce was thin and runny. Poured like water. Manicotti filling was gummy and cold in the middle. Meat sauce was bitter tasting, like the dried oregano was really old. Ugh. read more
