Booked the event room for a private dinner for 25 people. I was a visitor to the area, so not familiar, but the location was easy to get to/find. Off street parking availble around the building. The ambiance was nice overall. Restaurant downstairswas dimly lit. We took the stairs to the 2nd floor event space (there are plenty stairs, no elevator up). The space had a dedicated bar with private bartender for the evening. The tables were covered with black tablecloths, however, the chairs were left bare. I would have brought chair covers if I had known. The table settings were also done nicely. Our bartenders/server was great!!! She was able to handle both the bar and food service without a hiccup. She was very attentive to our needs but not overbearing. Great service from beginning to end. Now the food. For the space, you get to pick what menu items you want for appetizer, salad, entree and dessert. Service is available two ways: buffet or plated. The buffet option comes with one pan of whatever food items you choose and guests serves themselves. They don't designate servers. So, we chose the plated option to ensure even portions among guests. A printed menu with our selections was created and placed for guests to order. The food was amazing. Each meal came out fresh and hot. The portions were a nice size, some large enough for two people to share. Everyone was pleased with their choices overall. The food was seasoned and paired well. The only dislike of the night was the peas in the veggie pasta. Everyone who ordered this dish mentioned it and ended up picking them out. The highlight and meal of the night was the pork chop. Cooked to selected temp, the chop was juicy and full of flavor. The fresh mango pico de gallo topping was an added bonus that made this dish top of the list. Overall, the experience was great, well organized. If I'm ever in town again, I'll definitely revisit. read more

We tried this restaurant for the first time tonight, and it was delicious. I had the Short Rib Ravioli and it was quite good. It came with some vegetables which accompanied the dish nicely. My husband and son had the Pollo Parmigiana and they both liked their meals. We ordered the Bruschetta as an appetizer and we also enjoyed the complementary focaccia bread with herb butter. Everything was delicious. My only slight complaints are that the bruschetta toast points were toasted a little too long and were quite hard to eat, and the bruschetta mixture was not made fresh and was likely made earlier in the day and refrigerated. Not a major deal, but I prefer my bruschetta to be made fresh. There was live entertainment tonight, which was a really nice addition to the evening. They did a wonderful job. The dining room was clean. The waitress was attentive and nice. We will definitely return in the near future. read more

Plenty of parking. Staff extremely helpful, attentive, nice. menu of Italian and Mexican options. There were Mexican brunch options that looked great. I went for the spaghetti carbonara. It was good. A little heavy on salt to my taste and I prefer a bit more sauce, but overall good flavor. The fresh squeezed OJ was very good (they have the fancy machine). Excellent experience the whole way through. I love what they've done with the place atmosphere wise. Our service was phenomenal. Most importantly the food was on point. Toasted ravioli and fresh bright red sauce set the stage well. The Mexican lasagna was a really fun fusion and tasted amazing too. Chorizo penne was delicious with a great depth of flavor. Finishing things off with their little churro hearts. Those were pretty good too but a little dense. Everything seemed fresh and very well presented. Would definitely recommend you try. It's a little upscale in terms of pricing, but not horrible. We spent $85 (including tip) for two entrees, app, and desert. And it fed our group of three and then some. Been here twice now. Once for dinner and once for Brunch. Dinner party of 6 and everyone was greatly pleased with what we ordered, the wine and cocktail selection and the 5 service! Two of them ordered the Pork Shank and thought it was the best meal ever! I had the grilled Octopus and Shrimp - right up my alley! The restaurant was crowded but not packed and the ambiance was so cozy! Chuy even came out to talk with us! Brunch was a party of 4 and once again the service and brunch cocktails were spot-on. I and my friend loved our Mexican inspired breakfasts, the two men were happy but not in love with their choices - basically they didn't feel like it was enough food. We had Valentine dinner reservations for the DINNING ROOM. The hostess seated us upstairs. Decor was tacky and lighting was way too bright for dinner. The table was too long for a romantic dinner for two. I could barely hear my husband. I ordered a $50 steak with lobster. It looked like canned tuna and a glob of cream of mushroom soup. The steak was not great. The mashed potatoes appeared and tasted like they had been microwaved. The bartender brought out our food without a steak knife. I used a butter knife. My wife and I had slightly different opinions about our meal here, but needless to say, our dinner wasn't great, and that being the ultimate consensus. My opinion was below average, and my wife's downright terrible, found somewhere in the gutter. Went on a fairly busy Friday night and we did enjoy the atmosphere enhanced by the great live music. But that is where our enjoyment stopped. Our big hang up was our server disappeared for a majority of our meal. In her defense, I did catch her at another table near us dealing with an irritated customer (not sure what for), for quite a while. But either way it seemed like she was spread too thin to provide appropriate service her other tables. That is where a manager or another server would need to step in. Originally it took her over 25 minutes to stop by to say hi, so we gave her our drink and food orders then because we had waited so long, and because it was not promising sign that she was going to come back at regular intervals. We only saw her one further time once the food was already dropped off.....then she brought us some bread. Which I assume we were supposed to get in the beginning. She did finally drop off our check, but it took her fooooooooorrrever to come back and get it to run my card. Now the food. Nothing was very memorable, even though the menu had some of our favorite types of dishes. We had frequented Avanzare for many years and was kind of surprised to see most of what they have is also on this menu (I know the owner is the former head chef of Avanzare). I was happy to see a marsala short rib ravioli on the menu, but again, surprised it wasn't as good as Avanzare's. My wife love's that meal (orders it everywhere that has it) and it was just ok. The marsala's consistency was water and very bland, although the actual pasta was good, so maybe an off night there. My son even got that and said it was just ok, and he loves everything. Definitely not as good as the other places in town that offers a similar meal. My steak was VERY fatty (even for a ribeye), and everything else was just flavorless. I question a chef sending a piece of meat out that is 83% fat. The actual meat part had no decent sear/char or hardly any seasoning. My daughter who loves Fettuccini Alfredo (even at Fazolis or Olive Garden) was disappointed in their's. Given that she loves even those $1 fettuccini packets you get at the store, for her not to like it was something else. I tried a bite and just got the flavor of pasta and garlicy milk. Overall, not the experience I was hoping for or expecting. The meal from start to finish was nearly 2 hours, and just not good. I should have trusted my gut and ducked out within the first 20 minutes. We had a few friends just fall in love with this place, but we just felt neglected and unfulfilled for $200. So not worth going back in the off chance I have the same experience for that price point. read more

I really enjoyed the food and overall dining experience my first time and would like to go back and try more on their menu. I am always a bit apprehensive when a place advertises itself as a "fusion" of two kinds of cuisine if they will mess up beloved dishes trying to reimagine them in weird ways but I didn't get any sense of that from their menu as everything sounded very appetizing and what I ate was excellent. Atmosphere and decor was also quite nice. Service was pretty good overall, though they missed a few small things like forgetting a side substitution and not checking on water refills until the end of the meal but those were small issues in an otherwise great first visit. read more

When I received my bill, I was charged $14 for the drink and another $2 upcharge. Upon inquiring, I was told the margarita wasn't on the drink menu.
